Update 7/24/22 - Carolina Comfort sent out a second technician to re-check my A/C at no cost to me. The second technician was able to find a small maintenance problem due to drainage buildup which he resolved promptly while on site. I appreciate how completely Carolina Comfort looked into this issue. I've passed their name on to friends with A/C issues. A+ for service, and would recommend them to others. Thank you again. Carolina Comfort was on time, and responded quickly to my request. The technicians they sent were professional, pleasant, and thorough in diagnosing the problem. I would absolutely recommend Carolina Comfort, and I have every intention of signing a service contract with them shortly myself. Thank you for your help. A special thank you to the technicians as well who took time to answer all our questions. We really do appreciate it.

We recently had two gas tube heaters installed in our auto shop and couldn't be happier. They came and surveyed the facility and had an estimate within 48hrs for the entire job. When the parts arrived 2 weeks later they scheduled the install and arrived ontime on the day of the installation. Their installation crew were very knowledgeable, quick and professional. The heaters work amazing and keep our shop comfortable to work in with it in the 30s outside. Previously they repaired our office havc system quickly and for a very competitive price. We highly recommend Carolina Comfort for all your hvac needs both commercial and residential.

Had to have Carolina Comfort come out for an after hours emergency call when our heat went out. Great communication and the tech arrived shortly after the call was placed. He ended up replacing the thermostat and the heat started working again. All was good until the next day and the heat went out again. The next tech that arrived found out that it was the heat strips that were going bad and needed to be replaced. While the heat strips were on order I called the office to see about getting a refund or credit on the $200 thermostat that they put in when it was not the problem or needed. They refused to give any kind of credit and did not offer any kind of reason why they would not take back the thermostat when that wasn’t the issue. I ended up cancelling the appointment for them to replace our heat strips and had to find another company. I can’t stand to leave bad reviews but felt like I was being taking advantage of. Hopefully that is not the case but sure seemed like it.

We had an A/C unit that was 7 years old came with the house (contractor picked an undersized A/C unit and skimped on duct work, not only that I had 3 coil replacements over that time!-kudos for Carolina Comfort for helping me through the warranty process on those). I finally got so fed up that the A/C unit was struggling to keep up with humidity in the summer. I called Carolina Comfort and their comfort specialist Brian, came out observed the situation and discussed with my wife and I about all our options. Humidity control was my biggest issue as i'm very sensitive, and my wife wanted to lower the power bill. He provided each option available to us and went through the pros and cons of each, and never pressured us into which system to go with or even to use them. We went with the high efficiency York affinity line and so far we are pleased with the system and the service. Admittedly we had a small snafu recently as the system was installed in heating season so the full A/C pressures and calibrations weren't able to be dialed in due to the cold weather (this is to be expected for those that don't know). I was able to directly contact Brian, and the next morning, Robert an outstanding senior tech came out and diagnosed the issue and corrected everything. Robert even explained to me what was wrong and what was done to correct the problem. Now the A/C is working fine the house is freezing cold to my liking. If you aren't freezing enough in your house in the summer, or your humidity is too high, or you just want to save money like my wife, call these guys and ask for Brian. He will take care of you and provide you with knowledge so you can make the best choice for your situation. He will also stay with you after your system is installed, he cares about the quality of their work and the products they sell. I can't say enough good things about their service. I have been with this business going on 8 years and they are always on time, prompt, and return my calls. What more can you ask for in a business. PSA (unsolicited)- Get the cool zone package it is well worth it to maintain your system . It will extend the life of your system and keep your house nice and freezing like mine :) A/C units around here take a beating so make sure your pamper yours!

Keven came within 20 minutes after he callled us and cleared the drain line on our AC unit by vacuuming the clog from below and using N2 to blow the line out from the top. This let the water drain out and reset the float switch which allowed the AC unit to start running again. He was very knowledgeable of the problem.It only took about 25 minutes. Then he checked the thermostat to assure the unit was running. He did an excellent! I was very impressed with his work. Thank you!

We've had a service contract with Carolina Comfort off and on for years. We used another company one time and immediately regretted it. We had to call CC in to fix that work and decided we'd never go with anyone else again. Because of that, we had them do the HVAC inspection on our new home and also got them to do a second opinion after the buyer of our old home provided their own HVAC inspection report from someone else. The Installer Technicians came out and worked very hard to get the old unit removed and the new one installed. The original Carolina Comfort Representative came back to check all the work once it was complete to make sure we were happy and answer any questions or concerns we had about the unit, duct work, and installation. After my warranty expired with Mungo for my AC service, I purchased the yearly maintenance. I don't live in Sumter and most out of town companies wiill charge you a long distance fee, but Carolina Comfort does not. They are always on time to schedule my 2 maintenance checks without me having to call and flexible with my schedule. The time you're scheduled is in a window of no more than 15 minutes. Alonzo came in with his protective covers on his shoes and changed all filters, checked unit, and flushed outside unit. The job wasn't rushed. Carolina Comfort is very professional, timely, and employ expert people.
