Over the years we have used them for system repair, replacement and they installed a new system in an addition we added to our house. We were pleasantly surprised that the monthly Gas & Electric bill was less when using both systems. Their prices are reasonable and they are very trustworthy. My husband and I contacted Rusk Heating and Cooling in the Spring of this year to set up a meeting to have our air handler and heat pump replaced. You hear all the time from companies about how important your business is to them, but many times the actual interaction with them does not result in good service standards. Rusk Heating and Cooling has provided a remarkable experience for us from the initial sales meeting all the way to the final installation. This company stated that they wanted to make sure we were satisfied and would follow up to make sure of that. Everyone at RUSK, from beginning to end, was very professional, knowledgeable and explained the process thoroughly when installing a new HVAC system at our house. At my request they moved the outdoor unit to a new location that looked better from the front and removed the old unit. They also installed a new thermostat in a better location as well and it has been very easy to use and control from an app. I am very happy with everything and would use them again for any other projects we have in the future.

I hired Rusk to repair my main steam heating boiler return piping, reinstall an existing radiator and install a new radiator. The system is over 100 years old. As is not unusual with an old steam system you run into unexpected things. They showed up at the agreed date and time. They brought ample technicians the initial week and returned on two separate occasions to complete everything. They honored the original quote and completed the work to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to an anyone.

Tech came out but needed to come back the next day for more troubleshooting. A different tech came out the next day (very Knowledgeable) and was able to save me 5K that another company was gonna charge me to replace my unit by troubleshooting it to the thermostat. Rusk installed my new HVAC system this spring. I reached out to them through their website on a weekend and received a response from Steve Morrison(owner) within an hour. Steve who is a wonderful person came out himself to start the estimate and I had it the next day. They arrived as promised and the system was installed on time. The installers that came out were very professional and courteous. Had a mild problem on a hot weekend in July where the system shut done and contacted them after hours. Within about 15 minutes Steve Morrison called me and was able to walk my wife through a problem with a moisture sensor. AC was back in action and they were out early in the week to replace the sensor. I would highly recommend Rusk to anyone looking to replace or service their HVAC. Great people who provide great service.

Rusk Heating and Cooling are the best!!! We have a rental property in Covington, KY and the tenant didn't have heat the day before one of the coolest days this winter. I called Rusk Heating and Cooling the first thing in the morning and they were there within a few hours and fixed the issue. They also came the year before that and virtually put the furnace back together from where someone had begun to try and steal the furnace and was taking it apart - They put all the pieces back together and it worked just fine. I also feel their prices are reasonable - You won't be disappointed!!! Give them a try!!!

Had another company out because Rusk could not make it out the same day that I called them. This company said it would required two $400 parts just to get the system running enough for them to do further diagnosis of the problem. Told them not to do anything and just paid their service charge. Waited for Rusk to come the next day. Tom came and fixed the HVAC system with a $100 part—$200 total (including the service charge)!! I will not call anyone else from now on!!

I've used Rusk for routine, semiannual service for a number of years. They also installed a new system for me in recent years. When a part defect showed up about a year and a half later, Rusk made sure the part was replaced and properly installed. The manufacturer wouldn't foot the bill for labor as well as parts, but Rusk took care of all of it. I'm grateful to them.

Rusk did a phenomenal job installing the furnace and AC for my new garage/office. The work was done exactly as expected and their prices were great. The system is so well-designed it heated the entire garage and office space from 55 to 72 degrees in 27 minutes. Above and beyond: While they were installing the furnace and AC for my garage/office, we began to have warmer temps outside and it was time to turn on the AC in the main house. My AC unit was almost 20 years old and finally decided to kick the bucket. Rusk had a tech there the next day to confirm the unit had finally died and would need to be replaced. Given that the furnace in the main house was also 20 years old, Rusk recommended that we replace the entire system. We upgraded to a 96% efficiency furnace and Rusk added new, wider duct work in the basement that significantly increased the airflow throughout the rest of the house. Outside temps decided to turn colder that week to back to below freezing, so Rusk had two techs work 10+ hour days getting the furnace installed so my wife and 5 month-old son would have heat in the home. We would have gone to a hotel, but Rusk - without being asked - delivered 110% to make sure we didn't have to.

They were great had them come because my furnace wasn't working my furnace was on it last leg when I bought my house a few years ago and kept dying, also it had become dangerous with CO leaking which my monitor was registering but not high enough yet to set off. The repair guy got me up at least in the short term because it was so cold I was worried my pipes would burst too. Their quote was the best the only place to listen to my concerns about wanting the best furnace I could afford they quoted two options and were not at all pushy. Other places were pushy and not a better price, not worth going with. I choose to go with Rusk they seemed the most honest, willing to be on time and explain, they did everything they could to make sure everything was 100% right the prior job was shooty the new set up was clean, fixing other issues like that the condensate pipe was not exciting high enough and freezing and the wiring to my thermostat was spliced in multiple places before but they ran a clean wire. The guys who came every gone were very polite. They even gave me another CO detector. Everyone was great from the repair guy to the sales guy to the install guys. A few weeks later and I'm warm with my new high efficiency furnace feel safe and have a go to company for any future HVAC stuff.

Our most recent experience with Rusk was to repair our HVAC system that was damaged by a car hitting our house. Response time was incredibly fast. They got our heat back on in a matter of hours and had the damaged components replaced in less than a week. Price was fair (though it was covered by insurance). The unit selection and work was done quickly and efficiently. The installation team was knowledgeable, and courteous.. Three months after install they scheduled a free Service call to evaluate the unit’s performance. They are not the lowest cost provider but they deliver outstanding value.. Later in the afternoon John arrived to determine what new system I would need as my unit was 28 years old and not worth repairing as the coolant was obsolete. John sold me a Carrier unit. Rusk prioritized my order & Tom came the very next day to install the new unit. Now that is what I call service! Judy was great on the phone and explained that a yearly maintenance package for my furnace & air conditioner would insure optimal performance of these units. My A/C went out and I called for service on Tuesday and had a service call Wednesday and new A/C and furnace by Friday. The guys were all friendly and professional and very responsive, unlike the first company that I called that told me that I would have to wait for days for anyone to be able to come out. We had Rusk Heating and Cooling install a new furnace and a/c unit in our home maybe 8 years ago. The did a top notch job and we've had a maintenance agreement and regular service on it from them ever since. We had two incidences where there were problems. One was with the a/c compressor the first year; they came out and took care of it under warranty and it has worked well ever since. The second was caused by a capacitor in the blower motor which was a problem maybe two years ago. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem and replaced the capacitor and the system ran fine for us since then. There was a charge for the part but the cost was reduced because of our coverage with the maintenance agreement. We have since, sold our home and purchased another. There is a 10 year warranty on our new furnace but it is through a different company. I hope that they are as good as Rusk H&C. Will we call Rush H&C again if we are in a situation where we need them? ABSOLUTELY!

The technicians from Rusk, including Andre who performed the service on this occasion, are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented. I participate in the Premier Service which offers additional benefits and ensures that I receive very thorough regular maintenance on my HVAC system and also on a ductless mini-split porch system that Rusk installed for me a couple of years ago. Time was taken to carefully answer my questions, and also to assess my system for its longevity. I was advised regarding a part needing replacement, and asked if I wished to have that replaced during this service call, which I chose to do. I received careful advising regarding when I might need a new system which was something I had inquired about when scheduling. There were not any specific repair issues at this time, other than the small part needing replacement, but I have had some specific larger issues in the past that were repaired proficiently with no further problems. I feel that the assessments are careful and honest, and trust Rusk to maintain my HVAC safely, and properly. Rusk also has been attentive to safe practices of mask-wearing and sanitizing during COVID, which speaks well of the business overall. I have found them to be a very personable company. Apart from the service calls, occasionally, I have had a question simply answered over the phone when a service call was not necessary.

When we bought our house we were having a lot of issues with our furnace constantly running and costing us a lot of $$$$. Rusk came out and evaluated the situation, finding that our duct work was undersized and not supplying enough return air causing the system to short cycle. They drew up a plan for redoing the duct work only in the basement (all exposed) so as not to have to open any walls and cause the least amount of disturbance to use. They showed up at 8am and by early afternoon we had a furnace that was happy and running efficiently. They were professional, courteous and great at explaining everything. They even found another issue while doing the duct work and fixed that at no extra charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks @Rusk Heating & Cooling!

I have a newer unit that has only needed yearly cleaning/maintenance. I tried a few other companies that made this yearly task a chore. I switched over to Rusk in 2016, (have had different Rusk service men out every year and ) Year after year they have been polite, respectful (always wear shoe footies, never ask to use my bathroom) , professional (tell me what they are going to do. give me a verbal report on the condition they found my unit in and how it is now. Explain everything they did. ) The office staff is always pleasant, easy to work with (send/call a reminder the day before service, call when the service person is on his way, email a copy of the invoice for my records). All around pleasant experience.

I have had horrible experiences with various HVAC companies in the past. When my air conditioner died last week, I thought, "Oh, here we go again." I looked around and asked people out for bids. One came out and gave me a figure. Another company sent someone who said, "Oh, we don't have enough room to put anything we have in. I'm sorry; we can't help you." Dismayed, I waited for the Rusk rep to show. He did and, after looking at everything, gave me a quote $1,500 lower than the first guy! The installers have spent the past two days putting in my units (I have 2) and, I must say, they have been very professional -- very clean, hard working, POLITE, and on time. I ran the one they had finished yesterday, and this was the first time that the room had been cooled to my satisfaction -- ever. One of the first reasons I went with them is their length of time in business -- over 100 years. Someone who has been around for that long must be doing something right. I am quite happy with Rusk's service and product. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for HVAC work.

I had been without heat and air for a really long time I had Graue heating and air, home depot, and lowes come out and give me estimates for a new heat pump, one of which stole parts out of my old heat pump. The estimates they gave me were $8,000 to $9000. Steve gave us a quote for $6,100!!! We had it installed a few days later! Chris and Chad were very polite, very very knowledgeable, and great with my son watching everything they did Haha. I found this company to be very reputable and they knew what they were doing. Steve, they deserve a big raise!! (Chris told me to tell you that! Haha).

The serviceman was professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner however they took advantage of a bad situation to jack up the price. The ignitor went out on my daughter's furnace when the temps were in the single digits. They did not have the part on the truck and told her it would be an extra $100 to get one that day versus waiting til Monday. This was a Saturday. Knowing full well she couldn't be without heat for that long. We had no choice but to pay up. Other reviews mention that they are a bit pricey but this was a bit much.

Couldn't be more pleased with the top notch service from RUSK today! From the friendly and very helpful receptionist all the way up til I came back from a quick trip to gas station. When I left 10 minutes before, there were about 4 to 6 windows open the attic fan was running haha was hot! Anyway, the service tech had left the fan was turned off and all of the windows were closed. Thank you again and ill be sure to refer Rusk.
