Five Million Stars ! Deljo won me over from the initial estimate to after installation follow up care with Jen. Michael C and his Irish eyes could have sold me an empty Adidas box and I would have Run like DMC miles to Niles. My Installation Crew arrived early and on time! What every Chicago lady dreams of arrived at my door, Polish pride, big muscles, South Side Irish accents, trucks and cranes, and big beards all in one day. I was lucky enough to meet Wesley, an extremely polite and kind soul with a passion for integrity and all-inclusive trips to Cancun. Bearded, blue-eyed Chris (sorry ladies, he is very much engaged ) was equally engaged on the job as he paid attention to detail and welded HVAC parts together sometimes with a fire torch. Windy haired Richard stayed up on the roof most of the day. He packed his own food and drinks and all I can say is that the A/C is on right now and I'm chilling in it & feeling great with the thermostat set at 68. Today was a sunny and hot 78 degree day in November in Chicago! Deljo made spending Benjamins so much fun and made a lifelong customer out of me. Absolutely would recommend and will always use Deljo in the future. We needed a rooftop unit removed and a new one installed. After several quotes (some flat out said no because the crane was "too tricky" for their operaters) Brandon provided the most professional and thorough experience. Brandon was very detailed in explaining the steps the installation would require, explained the billing point by point and answered all of our questions/concerns which was very reassuring. The installation went very smoothly, the team, like Brandon, were professional, efficient and friendly. They also followed up several days later to make sure everything was running smoothly. Honestly, some of the best communication throughout the process of any home services I've experienced as a homeowner. Big thanks to Brandon and the team, we were so glad to have an awesome HVAC system, especially in this hot summer heat! (picture is of the old unit being removed)

We had a great experience with Deljo. Last summer, they came out and repaired our aging AC unit, and got us through the end of summer. We met with Michael C in the spring and he helped us find a new unit that fit our needs. He was very kind and answered all our questions well. When we had the new Carrier installed, David R did a great job too. He was even careful enough that my plants survived the installation too :) Deljo even sent us a box of cookies as a thank you, which is a nice touch. For my AC installation, we had to involve a crane to remove the old unit and install the new one, which I dreaded, but that part of the process was easy breezy! Jim was extremely helpful in working through my best options for the furnace replacement, and Juan and Dave were fantastic as installers, they not only took care to do their job excellently, but also alerted me to an unrelated plumbing issue and helped me fix it! All in all it took less than 48 hours to diagnose a broken furnace and replace it, right before the coldest week of the winter. Highly recommend!

Overall a great experience from Mike coming out to give us quotes to the removal of our old HVAC systems and installation of the two new ones by Robin and DJ and their team. They were all very friendly, detail oriented and clean. We did have an issue where we called them shortly after install because we felt that one of the AC units was not performing as good as we would expect a brand new one to perform. We called them and they were able to send out someone that same day to check. They discovered that it was a problem with the condenser and they sent out a team the following morning to replace it with no additional charges. It works great now and it was fantastic customer service. We would definitely use Deljo again.

Deljo located the leak in the line running from the AC to the furnace and fixed it while installing the new furnace. Tony was very responsive with their quote and what I would need to do to have the humidifier installed (cabinet removal, water spigot splitter). Most important was the installation. Yesterday, Carlos M, Carlos E, Johnny, and Darryl replaced our entire HVAC system. In one working day, they removed and installed two furnace and two rooftop A/C units. Everyone in the company, from the person who answered the phones, to the estimator was pleasant and professional. The installation team worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. After having our furnace damaged by a major water leak from our upstairs neighbors, Deljo made an emergency visit (though later than scheduled) to evaluate the problem and determine the parts necessary (Saturday), they were able to come out the following Tuesday to complete the repairs and replace the broken parts from their inventory. Both technicians were polite, helpful, and professional. The second technician also helped pinpoint an unrelated gas leak.

They offered a great value compared to other quotes I compared, scheduled the job the same week I accepted the quote, and completed it in less than a day. The installers, Barton and Andy, were both friendly and professional, didn’t leave any mess behind, and finished ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Deljo when you’re looking to replace your system. Deljo did a great job. My humidifier was pouring tons of water down the drain. Deljo found that it was missing a part to regulate the flow and had it readily available to install. They also did a full inspection of my furnace while they were on site and were great answering any general questions I had about my HVAC system.

For years and I have had good service from Deljo. I had them install a new air conditioning system to work along with my multi-zone controler. Things did not go well. The multi-zone controller is an older system and the installer made some mistakes hooking up the AC unit and new thermostats. This led to a few problems including burning out the power supply on the zone control board. Deljo stuck by their work and came out and got it working and replaced the motherboard in the control system at no charge. A great company isn't one that never makes a mistake, it's one that stands by their work and it makes it right. KC, the senior installation forman, figured out what went wrong and came out and fixed it. Thanks Deljo!

Because it was a discontinued model, I needed them to create an expansion to my vent to allow for a standard size model. Christian and Markus arrived on time and quickly installed a transition adapter and the new Carrier humidifier. The work was very high quality with clean edges. It blended in so well, it looked like the unit was always there. They also sealed the vent so none of the heating or cooling would escape at the furnace. Afterwards, they cleaned up and removed the old unit. Hats off for first quality installation and professional work. I highly recommend Deljo and will use them again if needed.

Great service again from Deljo! They installed my HVAC system back in 2016. Our townhome complex had a re-roofing done in November of last year and the roofers broke the refrigerant line while moving the condenser around on our roof. Tyler Bauers came out to inspect the unit and it was already too cool outside for them to do any leak detection or pressure testing. He provided detailed notes including giving me an estimate to repair and left them with the front office. Fast forward to spring and they had me scheduled for the first day warm enough with no rain to do the repairs. Tyler and another technician were able to promptly repair and recharge our system to get everything working again. Total professionals and Tyler provided a thorough explanation of the repairs including a bunch of photos I will be able to use to try and recover damages from the roofing company through our HOA. Even with inflation going up significantly from the first time they came out, they honored their original estimate which was very much appreciated!

He explained everything well, he was patient with all my questions, made good recommendations, and gave us a number of options to move forward. Confort consultant Tim came out to lay out our options for a full system replacement. The prices were a little higher than we expected, but we knew Deljo wouldn't be the cheapest and given their reviews and reputation contracted them to replace the full system. David and Kevin (assisted by Dave to get the equipment up to the roof) installed the new system. They were professional and courteous. It took them all day to perform the work, but they were unintrusive. Before they left, they explained what they replaced and how it worked. I recommend Deljo for your HVAC needs.

The gentleman who performed the maintenance on the unit suggested that I meet with someone in sales to discuss replacing my system. It didn't take long for me to make a decision, and within a week, two gentlemen showed up at my door, at the exact time promised. I also wanted to install the ecobee lite. Unfortunately, my circuit board, because of how old the Hvac is, was an obsolete part, but they ordered a conversion kit the manufacturer sells and it worked. Replacing an Hvac is expensive and was not in my budget this time around. So Alberto saved me with this fix. Very few people in the City of Chicago know how to work old heat pump units. I would know, I called 15 and got rejected. But Alberto knows the ins and outs of it. I was dying without A/C in last week's heat and now im ready for our next heatwave. If you have a problem with your Hvac I highly recommend you call this company. There were a few people (2) that gave me slightly lower quote but they said they only "theoretically" knew how to fix my specific type of Hvac and they shocked themselves twice during diagnosis, and were difficult to get in contact with! I didn't want to take that risk and felt that it's better to pay a little extra and get the job done right. But the company is still reasonable in cost if you compare it to a few others. So i was good with the middle ground pricing. Not to mention it was well deserved because of how in depth fixing mine was. The other thing is they were easy to schedule in. As soon as the part came in they scheduled me in ASAP which I appreciate. Super happy right now. Thank you Alberto!

We have had ongoing AC issues for a month or more. We had another company come out about a month ago during a major heat wave, and they did not do a ton of diagnostics (we soon learned once Deljo got here) and our issues kept occurring. Deljo sent Eddie and he was amazing. He was incredibly thorough and his diagnostics the first night during our emergency visit took quite a while but were necessary to find the root problems. He walked us through everything he was doing and finding and what would need to happen based on this. He was also clear on pricing and why. He never pushed anything on us and also let us know each step that may need to occur. He did need to come back the next day to continue to work which was fine by us. Again, he was thorough and kind and explained everything. He even replaced our thermostat with an amazing ecobee per our request after we discussed our current thermostat issues. I highly recommend Deljo for any HVAC work. For this project, Deljo installed a very complicated high end seam humidifier to my furnace. The installers knew exactly what they were doing and this required specialized knowledge of how to wire up a new 220 volt electrical line to my circuit breaker box. They protected the floors and took great care in my home. They clearly walked me through how to work the new humidifier equipment through the thermostat. The installation of the humidifier and the conduit for the 220 volt line is perfect. After the installation, they ran tests to ensure all of the equipment was working properly with no leaks or issues. They were highly professional and a pleasure to work with. I have used Deljo in the past for other items and their knowledge and skill of all HVAC concerns is far and above any other company I have ever used for HVAC work... ***Please read this whole review*** I am so pleased with the service provided by Abel and Deljo that I wanted to give you all the full story. Last year, I replaced my water heater. It is in a highly inaccessible spot in my condo in Chicago, but I didn't think this would present itself as an issue until it needed to be replaced. Recently, my unit had begun to be rented by new tenants. They complained that the hot water was not turning on, which presented a huge issue. This was on a Saturday. On Sunday, I went to the unit to inspect, everything looked right with the heater. I didn't know what to do but call a plumber. First thing Monday, I called Four Winds. They came by in the afternoon as promised, but they mentioned that the unit was impossible to get to as it was blocked. They quoted $1,300 (almost the cost of the heater) to move the washer/dryer, inspect and fix the heater, and replace the washer dryer. This was a tough pill to swallow. But I came to find out through Four Winds that it was a flammable vapor sensor that locked down the heater due to new flooring being done. With this information, I contacted the manufacturer (now Monday evening), and scheduled an appointment with Hot Water 911, recommended by Rheem. The next morning, I tried confirming the appointment, but the recommended company didn't have the ability to move a washer/dryer. So I called a company called Rescue Plumbing. They said they could do the whole job, and said they couldn't quote me till they came out. They mentioned on Tuesday morning they would come out 12-2p. I got a call at 12:30 from a gentleman that said he couldn't help me. Too much liability. At this point, I am very upset, my tenants are extremely dissatisfied, and I didn't know what to do. That's when I called Deljo. From the minute I called and explained my situation (needed a part, needed 2 people to come out, needed service same day), they confirmed all of the above was possible (when multiple other plumbers/HVAC couldn't do it same day). They said they'd be there 2-6. Then, I get a call around 4:45p from Abel. I reexplain the situation - needed him to have the part and the importance that it needed to get done. Within the hour, Abel was able to reset the sensor for us (even though he couldn't move the washer/dryer), and the problem was solved...all for a very reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend Deljo and specifically Abel. He was awesome, understanding and very willing to help out. Thank you x 1,000,000 all!

This is my second experience with Deljo, and both times warranted 5 star reviews. Most recently, I had the unfortunate issue of having to replace my HVAC system. I had 3 separate companies take a look and give me a quote. Deljo was the most thorough with the diagnosis and were able to clearly educate me on the issue. The process was straight forward and efficient in 3 easy steps. The first visit was the technician who came out to diagnose the issue. I wish I could remember his name but he was courteous, on time, and thorough with explaining the issue(s) and the rest of the process. Next, based on his feedback, Jim Carney came out and provided me with my options and talked me through what was best for me and my family. He was trust-worthy and knowledgeable. Lastly, I had the service completed by Markus and Juan. Both were very professional, set my expectations for the service, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Afterwards, they explained the work they had completed. All of this happened in under a week. Thorough, professional, fairly priced. I recommend Deljo for any and all of your HVAC needs.

Beyond honest! Another HVAC company told me the heat exchanger was cracked and I was in immediate danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. I called Deljo for a second opinion. While yes, the heater is about to die (22 years old) it is not leaking carbon monoxide and does not have a cracked heat exchanger. They took the time to show me everything that was failing inside the furnace (they used a camera to look inside with me standing right next to the tech) and explained what each piece does. They then put carbon monoxide readers through out the basement and house to double check. All of them read zero carbon monoxide. Highly recommend!

Deljo installed our HVAC system during a full-house renovation in 2009, so we called them last week when we turned on the A/C for the summer season, and found that neither of our A/C units was effectively cooling. The Deljo service tech was prompt, professional and capable. He checked our system and determined that refrigerant pressure was insufficient. He offered us options of a refill plus stop-leak, or purchasing a new system. Given the costs of a repair and the poor chances of longterm success, we asked to speak with a Deljo sales rep re costs of a replacement system. He arrived a day later, and was equally prompt, professional and capable. We have always found the Deljo personnel to be of the highest quality, personally and professionally.

I hadn't used my furnace in a couple years, so I asked Deljo Heating and Cooling if they could run a check on it before I fired it up. Christian, the tech that came out to take a look at it, was very thorough and knowledgeable, took his time explaining what he was looking for, and what he was doing. I asked him about the weird setup of the flue on top of the furnace, how it blew directly into my closet, not the rest of the unit. He said it wasn't good for the furnace, so I decided to install the correct ducting to get the most out of it. Within an hour, Luke B, an engineer with Deljo, arrived, and we started going over some ideas. He was also excellent at explaining the volume of air to duct size ratios, etc..., and before long we had a plan in place. I had one request... that the entire job be completed the next day for guests I had coming into town! Despite an early morning mix up on the final ducting layout, we resolved the issue, and the two installation professionals, Brandon C. and Wesley, spent all of the rest of day installing a perfect duct system across my unit. They even had to special cut a part of the new flue, so that I could have the look that I wanted! Tremendous job, especially with such demanding time constraints! Thank you all at Deljo, it took a team effort to make this happen, and the team stepped up.

This is the second major project we have used Deljo for in the past 4 years. They previously replaced our basement boiler for radiant heat a few years ago when the old one failed during the first winter after buying our house. This year we brought them out for a quote followed by installation of a ductless mini split AC system on the first two levels of our home. Just as the last time, the entire process was smooth from start to finish. First, advisor Ryan came out to assess, talk with us about our goals, and present the options and costs which was very educational and thorough. Once we decided what to do, project manager Brian and his crew came out the following week to start the install. Due to covid, my partner and I are working from home and the disruption to our daily routine was absolutely as minimal as could be. The team was very clean, efficient, and aesthetically did everything they could to make the required exterior lines and internal ductwork look like it always belonged in the space. We've had the system for over a week and thanks to some early fall heat and moisture have had a few days to test the system out. We went from 3 standing AC units + 1 large window unit to 4 wall mounted ductless units + 1 unit in the basement that vents up through the floors of two different rooms. The difference is night and day from our prior setup. Not only have we reclaimed floor and window space, but the cooling and efficiency is clearly better than before and the system is SO quiet (maybe the biggest win!). I would highly recommend this type of setup for those with older houses that aren't in a good position to run ductwork all over the place. And it almost goes without saying that I highly recommend Deljo for the job. They surely aren't the cheapest option out there- but when it comes to major HVAC work like this you're going to get what you pay for. Deljo certainly delivers when it comes to these types of projects. Highly recommend!

** Please note that this is not a review for Deljo, but one of their technicians, Eric Frost I am writing a separate review for ALL of the problems that I have had with Deljo with regard to diagnosing a problem with my HVAC and the resulting A/C intallation. Eric Frost, Deljo technician, was called by Deljo's emergency call service after the company installed a new air conditioning unit at my residence that failed to correct the problem that I was having with my unit. Needless to say, I was extremely upset and looking for someone to resolve my problem. Enter Eric, my hero! He called me immediately after receiving a page from the call service regarding my problem. He apologized for all of the problems that I was having and promised that I would be his next stop as soon as he had finished the job he was currently working on which he estimated would be about 2 hours. True to his word, he called about 2 hours later to tell me that he was on his way and would be arriving within 30 - 40 minutes. He arrived just as communicated at 5:00 p.m. He was polite, professional and promised me that he would not leave my home until the problem was idenitifed and, if possible, resolved. Following proper protocols, he was masked, wore shoe protectors and was extremely neat/organized/considerate. He asked me to take him to my utility room where the HVAC unit was housed and to describe the issue that I had been having for the past 10 days, even after Deljo had installed a new a/c to correct the problem. He turned the unit on and immediately heard the high pitched squealing sound that I had been describing, inspected the newly installed a/c unit to view the poor installation that had been done by the Deljo installation team, and inspected the damage that they had caused both on my neighbor's patio with their extension ladder, as well as in my home. From there, he got to work. Eric fully inspected every single inch of my unit from top to bottom testing all connections, wires, pipes, mechanical components, etc. After dismantling the unit in whole, he found the problem - the HVAC motor lubricant seal had somehow become unsealed and was leaking lubricant needed for the unit to run effectively/efficiently and without squealing. Note: When I originally called Deljo for service and they sent the original technician to diagnose the problem, I told that technician that I believed it was an issue with the motor and/or fan bearing. He visually inspected the unit and ran it, but never dismantled it to determine the true cause of the problem. Rather, he recommened that I get a new a/c to correct the problem even though the a/c was running and all diagnostics showed it was blowing the correcty level of cool air. That service call cost $425 and the new a/c cost $6,518. Neither corrrected the problem!! Eric then showed me the problem and communicated that a new motor was needed to correct the problem. As he had been nothing but professional and honest, I believed him and agreed to have him install a new motor. PROBLEM FIXED - NO MORE SCREECHING!! He also recaulked a pipe and sealed the unit where it was leaking cool air from the metal cabinet that the install crew failed to do. Lastly, he installed new batteries in my thermostat because the ones in it were getting low. In total, Eric was here for 4.5 hours and did not leave my property until the problem was corrected, poor work by the install crew was corrected, everything was left as clean as when he arrived and I was happy with the work that had been done. Eric Frost is truly a gifted technician! In addition, he is professional, polite, knowledgeable, neat, clean, conisderate and a good commuicator. I am not sure if I will ever use Deljo again due my overall poor experience with all of the other facets, but I would not hesitate to call on Erik again if I had a problem with my HVAC system. If you do need service from Deljo, I would not trust anyone but Erik Frost to do the work, so definitely ask for him by name. You will not regret it.

My heating went out the other day and I called Deljo. It would be the second time I've used them, and both times I've had Robert Ricksecker as my HVAC guy. Rob used probes, cameras, lights, photos and a box full of other tools. I wasn't sure if Rob came by to check out my heating system or perform laparoscopic surgery. However, within a few minutes, I had my answer. Rob performed his furnace magic and found the problem. My draft inducer motor had gone bad. The best part of Rob's performance was when he manually spun the motor and got my heat going. In other words, he jump-started my furnace! My furnace is over 20 years old and Rob mentioned other problem areas that he saw. Rob said that he could install the inducer motor that day, but suggested I consider a new furnace before putting additional money into my old one. Since I have a fireplace that can heat my unit, I wasn't under an immediate threat of impending cold weather. Rob gave me a detailed report of what he found. Rob is a zero pressure kind of guy. He's super-nice, highly-skilled, reliable and chill. I'll continue to use him and Deljo as needed and rate his professionalism and expertise 5 stars.

We needed a new boiler for the radiant heat in the driveway and garage of our 7 unit condo building. We got 3 bids on the job and we selected Deljo - this decision was not based primarily on price. The pre-sales site survey and support we got in the decision making process was incredibly good. Jim C came out twice, answered our myriad questions by phone and email and really made sure that we understood exactly how their solution would work for us. This made our choice of Deljo a no-brainer. The installation went extremely well. The installers (Casey, Marek and Carlos) demonstrated absolute professionalism from their punctuality and friendliness to their job knowledge and experience. A boiler system with multiple manifolds and zones and pumps and connections can be bewildering but it can also be a testament to craftsman-like work and this is what we got from the installers. When they walked us through the entire installation and explained what they had done the care and pride in their work really came out. They pointed out everything from the flow of the boiler piping to the silicone sealed penetrations they made in the building to the insulation they placed in the wall when they took out the old, large exhaust pipe. They needed to run a condensate line into an owner unit drain and when they were done you would never know they were ever there. And, of course, when the installation was complete they cleaned up everything and disposed of the old boiler components, packing material and miscellaneous material. We are also going to use Deljo for our yearly maintenance checkup on the boiler and we are recommending them to owners in the building that need a checkup or repair on their HVAC systems. I don't think it would be possible for me to recommend a business more. My boiler stopped working one night last week when it was 17°F outside. The temperature in my two flat plunged to 58°F that night. My 91 y.o. Mother lives downstairs and it took space heaters and layers of Blankets and Comforters to get her through the night. I called Deljo when they opened at 7:30 am and Charlie and Eddie were there by 11:00 am. They quickly diagnosed the problems, commenced to repair them and were done by 1:00 PM. I hadn't had the boiler serviced since the early 2010's, as it often slipped my mind. I signed up for a yearly maintenance plan which will provide service to the boiler and water heaters. Watching them work and explaining everything they were doing and why they were doing it was really comforting. These are two men who love what they do and love the company they work for. All totalted the bill was under $400, which came as a welcome relief, fearing that I might have to replace the boiler at a cost of $5-7k. Very professional, very positive experience.

He was able to fix the initial major problem to the blower and circuit board caused by the broken water pipe in the bathroom, and then he diagnosed another problem with a pressure switch. Excellent Service. Mid December 2019 came home from work and noticed our furnace was not making the usually sound and there was no air blowing through the vents. Later that night I also notice we had no hot water. It was not a great day but I called the number that was on my water heater that said 24hr service and it was Deljo. The operator had a technician call me back and they walked me through how to light my pilot light. I was grateful but no hot water due water leaking from the water heater over the pilot light. We schedule someone to come out and give a diagnosis on both appliances. The water heater was shot and the furnace was near the end of its life anyway and we were expecting to change it soon so we opted to have them quote us for new items. It was cold and the sooner the better. That same night Matthew Barbosa, a representative of Deljo came out to give us our options. We opted for the dual fan furnace, a new water heater as well as a new air conditioner compressor (our old one would have to work with the new furnace and it was more than 20 years old). We opted to replace everything. They were great! The day the team came out they were very organized and clean. They took off shoes or went around back. They had us up and running that day. So easy and fast and it been a month and we love it. We also got the Alexa thermostat...Fantastic all around!

After our heat went out for the second time in one week, I called out another company (who serviced our boiler earlier in the week) to be told that the old boiler was dangerous and needed to be replaced. I was a bit skeptical, but after reviewing the paperwork from the previous owners, decided that it was indeed old enough with shaky enough history it was time. The other company said they would get back with me (of which I have still received no follow up.) Luckily I decided to get another opinion/quote and called Deljo since they had serviced the boiler in the past under the previous owners. Patrick came out the following Saturday (which impressed me on such short notice) and talked us through our options and his recommendations. He was polite, fast, and very knowledgeable. He gave us enough information that we were comfortable putting in our deposit for a new system before he left. Three days later the crew of David and Brandon D arrived to install our new boiler system. Within 7 hours everything was done and working and fast/warm heat was restored to the house. They even installed a new Nest thermostat I had purchased and had that up and running in a flash. Brandon D was great in explaining everything at the end of the day and his advice/expectations on performance and maintenance. Everything was left completely clean and all of the old material was removed and out of sight and mind. I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Deljo. Not only were they quick to get out to help us as the weather was in the process of turning- but they surpassed expectations on customer service and efficiency in getting "our emergency" taken care of as if it was theirs. We have a separate gas furnace/ac in our third floor and of course our boiler in the basement. I'm hoping to enroll in a maintenance plan eventually but right now the monthly price is the only deterrent since all three systems are considered separate items/fees. Three year later update - Still my go to. Sergio came today for regular maintenance, pointed out an idea or two for better performance and protection of system AND did the usual reliable Deljo maintenance. Still top on my list and my HVAC referral when people need a "go to".
