Their live tracking notifications are a bonus - they keep you well informed as to the assigned service person and their arrival time! Will and his team did a spectacular job of installing a ductless heat /AC system on both floors of our home. The installation was done seamlessly, professionally, and in a timely manner. And Jamie and Will and other members of the staff were incredibly helpful as we navigated navigate the confusing and multi-step rebate process with MassSave - I couldn’t have done it without them. I can’t imagine ever using any other business for heating and cooling needs, and currently Will is helping us examine the possibility of installing a whole house generator. And again, on time and professional and and patiently answering all questions. And the installation of the generator is complete, and all of the installers were amazingly professional and helpful. But what truly makes this company’s employees outstanding is their willingness to answer questions and discuss concerns until the customer feels completely able to understand and use these (often complex) technologies. I truly have never had a better experience with any company that worked on my house. Thanks so much!

I called South Shore Heating and Kelly took my information and sheduled my visit- she was professional and polite. My furnace was not working. Brian was the service tech, he gave me a courtesy call when he was 15 minutes from my house. He arrived exactly on time. He was also polite, professional, and educated me on how to maintain my furnace. I was quoted a price for the first hour and every hour after if needed. The work took an hour and the price was exactly what was quoted. I highly recommend this company and when it comes time to have my furnace replaced, I will give them a call. Shawn in Centerville

I met with Vincent about installing a new HVAC system. I was in a really unfortunate situation in November 2022 where our home had no heat and it was starting to get cold. Compounding that problem was a very tough layout and tight working conditions. He listened to my concerns about design and offered up a great solution. Absolutely 5-stars. Above and beyond. Outstanding service. Going forward, I will use no one else. I was a remote landlord, with an elderly tenant, and an aging furnace on Cape Cod. When I learned the furnace had refused another season, I began calling for help. At least a half dozen providers turned me away. They would only respond to one of their already established long-term customers. Vincent Vafiades was the opposite. He took charge of the situation, quickly quoted a replacement, and even contacted another customer to ask if they would agree to a small schedule delay such that my tenant could have priority. Wayne and Matt showed up a few days later to install. Everyone was kind and courteous to my tenant, communicated with me continuously, installed a new system at a competitive price, and resolved the problem. My tenant and I were both impressed with everyone's competence and thoughtfulness. Kelly in the main office was always available to help coordinate. It was really exactly as it should be. A home run when all other HVAC providers couldn't even get to first base. Highly recommended.

Little over 3 years ago, South Shore HVAC installed furnace, AC unit along with water heater. At that time an excellent job and a pleasure to work with with. Expansion tank need replacement in Jan ‘22. Prompt and professional service. This time the release valve on the water heater developed a leak. When I spoke with their rep, said I would be on the list for Weds. pm. About 90 minutes later, got a text would be at my home shortly. Service rep, Phil Knight, could have ended his day and went home, however, he came over, did the quick replacement and now we hot hot water again. We couldn’t be happier working with everyone we’ve encountered with South Shore HVAC. Many many thanks. JC

I called South Shore after getting the run around from other companies. I needed a new gas furnace and wanted AC installed. First, they actually answered the phone. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. They were out for an estimate in days. After signing the estimate, we had the job booked quickly. They showed up early and finished early. All the techs and electricians were kind, courteous, professional. Prices were very reasonable. Ample email and text communication. I also was allowed to pay with a credit card (love the points)! Coming from a person who has done many home projects between two houses, this was a breath of fresh air. I completely recommend this company.

He told me the air conditioner was old- 36 years, much older than the average time that an air conditioner usually works. He told me that in very hot & humid weather I may have difficulty with it & it might not cool down to the temperature I wanted. He also told me the approximate cost range for a new unit. He said that if I was interested in a new unit I I should call for an appointment to see how much a new unit would cost for this house

In late January, we were smelling gas, and called National Grid. They came and told us that they thought that there was a hole in our heat exchanger and they had to shut down our furnace. We called one company and they said they couldn't come out for 3 months!. I then called South Shore Heating and they had a sales man come out right away. He said they could have a crew come the next day. Our sister-in-law has had South Shore Heating for many years and has been very happy with them. They came the next day and replaced the furnace, and the following day installed the air conditioning unit. They were extremely professional and we couldn't be more pleased with everyone from the sales man, the office staff and the technicians. Keith Riter, a technician from South Shore Heating and Air Conditioning came out today to do the start up of our new air conditioning unit. He was on time, very thorough, professional and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. 2020 - successfully installed new indirect hot water heater 2021 - successfully installed a new Mitsubishi mini-split cooling/heat system 2022 - called for plumbing repair service for broken or leaking pipes. Was very disappointed to learn they no longer have any plumbers. Bummer.

Our furnace died, and the weatherman was calling for temps in the low teens. South Shore regiggered their scheduling to get a crew of three plumbing guys and three electrical guys right over for a complete furnace replacement. They arrived on schedule, bright and early with everything needed for the day’s work. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. In fact, it was like watching a ballet, seeing them work around each other. All calls to the office to set this up were professional and super responsive. Shore Shore is a 1st class outfit, and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

We bought a house in W. Yarmouth last fall and SSHC had been servicing the heating and AC systems for decades. We called them a few days after we closed to check the furnace system which the home inspector said may need some work. Brian came a few weeks later and replaced a furnace vent and said the system was good to go. Brian said the AC unit looked okay and we're hoping to get one more summer out of it, fingers crossed! The heating system worked beautifully all winter:-) The home inspector also said the smoke stack had deteriorated and rusted and needed to be replaced. I called SSHC a few weeks ago to have the work done and Roman and Matt completed the work yesterday. They replaced the smoke stack and the B-vent (thankfully no renovation was needed as they were able to slide it right in and up through a linen closet in the bathroom!) and installed a new digital thermostat. I'd also like to thank Wayne who looked at the smoke stack a few months ago and of course saw what the home inspector saw. I'd also think to thank Riley who scheduled the work for us and the great ladies in the office, Karen, Kelly and Kathleen who helped throughout the process as they coordinated with the service and install team. TEAM SSHC is wonderful to work with and I'm glad we chose to stay with them as the previous owners had nothing but good things to say about them. If and when our AC system needs a repair or an overhaul, we would not think twice about contacting SSHC. We've been impressed and pleased with their service. They also email and text when service techs are assigned to your service call and when they are on their way, which is a great way to do business and keep customers informed throughout the entire process!

Many thanks to South Shore for the big job of replacing our old air-conditioning unit of 30 years. Although still working, it was recommended that we install a new one. The old one could fail at any time. The salesman, Will, was knowledgeable, helpful and able to recommend the best unit for our home. The two installers took one and one/half days for this project. They were prompt and friendly and went right to work. During this Covid-19 time, they kept their distance and wore masks, as did we, the home-owners. There was also follow-up from Will after the installation to be sure all was well. The unit now has gotten through a good part of a hot summer and "hums" along perfectly, doing its job of keeping our home nice and cool. Great job from South Shore Heating and Cooling! And thank you Lennox! So here we go, March 2021. It was time to now have central air-conditioning upstairs. Will came over and thoroughly checked out our space, then brought along Matt to be sure they were both in agreement. On a cold March Monday, three installers arrived (along with Will) and got right to work. BIG JOB, since duct work had to be installed. They were all professional, experienced, knowledgeable. We all wore masks and kept our distance. The job took time, but they were finished by Wednesday afternoon. All was cleaned up afterwards too. Thanks South Shore and thanks to Wayne, the job boss. We are very pleased to have central air-conditioning upstairs to go along with our central downstairs. When the weather turns warmer, they will return to test the system out.

Riley arrived well within the time window promised and in short order found the problem that left us without heat: A seized blower(?) motor in our 18-year old Lennox G-32 Series Gas Furnace. He needed to get a new replacement from South Shore's warehouse and returned within 45 minutes. He installed the new motor, tested system function and even rerouted a wire for our humidity control system--all before the 4 PM ending time of the original time window. Riley was very efficient, competent and knowledgeable and has a friendly demeanor that gave us confidence we had selected a top notch HVAC repair organization. South Shore came right out to look at it, drained it so it would not flood more that night, and then worked on Saturday to replace it the next morning! We recently needed a plumber and after several calls to local guys (with virtually no response) we called South Shore and asked if they did general plumbing work. They said yes and sent over one of their guys who arrived on time, was very professional, had the parts, tools, and know-how. He cleaned up the work area completely when he was finished and even cleaned the sink! We always thought of South Shore as our HVAC guys but now we also think of them as “our plumber.” They’re large enough to have an office staff who always answers the phone but small enough to care about the work.
