Our installation of our ductless minisplits went super smoothly thanks to NETR. We obtained 4 quotes from other contractors and not only was NETRs price competitive but they also had by far and away the best looking design especially on the outside of our home. We have four head units, and you can only see two straight lines along the gutter line along the back and the did a great job of blending a short exterior run in front with the angle of the roof. The guys at NETR did super professional and very clean work and we are happy to recommend them to anyone who is looking for ductless minisplits.

First impressions count!!! Bill was beyond prompt arriving 15 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment. He had preliminary understanding of our HVAC issue, and quickly went to check both internal/external units which he cleaned out to properly assess the problem. He diagnosed that we needed new compressor and confirmed that our system was in good condition and didn't try to upset us unnecessarily. We found him to be a true professional and enjoyed his work.

We recently installed mini-split systems before a large home renovation and unfortunately our construction crew didn't keep them covered which led to the systems requiring a clean much sooner than anticipated. Paul and Victoria from the sales team were amazing to work with. Today Terry Odom from the service team came to clean the systems and the performance difference is night and day. Terry was incredibly nice, knowledgeable and efficient. He made quick work of 9 indoor units and 3 outdoor units (even during the snow). NETR installed a whole-house mini split heat pump system (for heat and air conditioning) for us and were at our house for 6 full days . Our sales rep Chris paid careful attention to providing us with the most efficient design, and was always immediately responsive to our calls, and the installation supervisor Dana came out and offered his additional helpful expertise prior to the installation. From the entire NETR support staff (Victoria, Sarah, Carol) to the techs who did the installation, to Todd the service tech who came out to make a couple of adjustments, we were incredibly impressed by NETR's high level of customer service, timely communication, expertise, willingness to patiently answer many questions, and simply by how nice and knowledgeable everyone in their organization is! Our techs Max and Al and Sonny our electrician were amazing in their attention to detail and pride in the quality of their work. They went the extra mile to make some of the less attractive components of the system look neat and as good as they possibly could, and made sure we were happy with the placement of each wall unit in the rooms of our house. They are highly skilled and super friendly as well. They were happy to wear masks at our request, and cleaned up carefully after themselves. It's not often these days that we actually want to post a review, but this time is an exception. We can't imagine any company doing a better job.

NETR is a great outfit from start to completion. 3 techs took 4 days (3 days estimated). It was a complicated system in a large house. They installed 4 ductless mini-splits with a branch box and 45K compressor outside. The price was competitive tho not the cheapest, and going with that was a smart move on my part. They gave me a date in advance, confirmed it two weeks in advance, and again 2 days before. Then showed up on time first thing in the morning on the promised date. They all put booties on their feet each day to keep dirt off my floors. I was Impressed. They knew what they were doing, didn’t take shortcuts, were completely polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and even took input from me as I was particular about where I wanted some of the piping to be run. They cooperated and did exactly what I suggested. This took some extra time and materials but there were no extra fees added. Very pleased from start to finish. They fully delivered on what the sales guy promised! When’s the last time that happened to you?

Jeff and his crew were professional, incredibly accommodating to construction delays and last minute changes and they over delivered on getting units installed. We ran into an issue Sunday night and Jeff was onsite Monday by 1pm and had the problem fixed by 1:45pm. Great service! I would highly recommend NETR (especially Jeff!) to anyone.

Terrence Odom arrived today to do routine maintenance on our heat-pump split mini's that we had installed by N.E.T.R. about a year ago. We had had a small snow accumulation during the night, and he offered to clean the walkway and shovel a path to the compressor so he wouldn't track snow around. He put on shoe covers when he entered the house, and had no problem putting on a face mask to protect us from possible virus spread. He very pleasantly went about his business of checking and cleaning the 2 inside units that we have. Explaining in plain English what he was doing and why. Giving us pointers about future maintenance that we could do ourselves to help keep the units running efficiently. It was a pleasure to have Terrence work on our system. We thank him and N.E.T.R. for caring about us and our equipment.

HETR replaced old air handler with a new one and interfaced to existing duct work. Removed old compressor and changed electrical and air cables to support new system. Unfortunately cannot rate work quality because system is inoperable because the compressor is on back order and after a month and a half no information on compressor delivery date In December the outdoor unit was finally installed however they couldn’t get the system to work because of an infant mortality control board. In January NETR returned with a new control board and finally the system almost worked to the agreed contract. The only missing piece is the wi-Fi based remote control(kumo cloud) after four or five hours we gave up trying to get this piece to function( until we get more information about what’s going on). Throughout this ordeal the attitude of the technician’s and their professionalism has been excellent. This includes the on site technician and their factory support.

The initial install 9 yrs ago was excellent in the quality of work and product. We recently had them return for hydro cleaning of our ductless units and once again the service was excellent. Jared came to diagnose my cooling air system that’s not working. I called Chris on 7/18 and sent Jared the same day just to diagnose the problem. I was impressed that he was early! He was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. I also appreciated the text saying he was on his way which included his picture! I was pleased with the information that my motor and fan could be fixed and replaced. Nothing has been done, yet, as I’m still waiting for my quote for the parts and labor. I told them it wasn’t an emergency. However, he said that I’d get a quote this week and haven’t received it yet. Hopefully I will by Friday. Thanks Jared!!

Everyone involved was very professional and great to deal with. I was going to go with a local company closer to me(reside in Salem mass) they were going to put me off almost to the end of summer (August) I had 2 estimates and NETR was within realm BUT heard that I wanted them installed quickly and they listened!!!!!! We used N.E.T.R. to install Mitsubishi mini-split heat pumps in our home. Our installation uses 6 mini-splits inside and 2 outdoor units to replace our oil hot water heat system and to provide air conditioning. We're really excited to remove our dependence on fossil fuels for heating, are enjoying managing temperatures separately in each room, and looking forward to AC this summer. When I was evaluating different installers, the N.E.T.R. sales person responded quickly and helpfully to my questions. Scheduling the installation was straight forward, and the work started quickly. Completing the installation was also quick, taking 2 1/2 days, with much of the time spent outside. They did a clean job, and the results look good. In addition, they were very helpful with collecting and submitting the paperwork for our MassSave rebate. And they gave us good advice about doing the needed routine maintenance. I recommend using N.E.T.R. for installing mini-splits.

Both the estimator and the scheduler were very up front about the time frame for scheduling the job and communicated well. The job was performed on time by a very professional crew. They were courteous, professional, and communicated well. Since I was working from home during the installation, this was very important to coordinate my work day for when they needed to be in my office area. The installation in the attic and individual rooms was extremely tidy and the crew cleaned thoroughly after completing an area. Overall, I'm extremely pleased both with the installers and the system that was provided (Mitsubishi mini-split with hyper heat). My only criticism is that the electrical inspection was not scheduled to be done before the electrician left and the job was completed (two circuits added to the house for the system and service outlet require an electrical permit and inspection). This resulted in an additional day needed to allow entry for the inspector and electrician at a later date. Since I'm working from home, that wasn't terribly burdensome, but could be an issue if a homeowner needed to take time off work for the installation/inspection.

Most times technicians will check with you at the beginning of the job, get a vague idea about what you want and then check back at the end of the job to see if everything was satisfactory. Update May 2022 It took several months and several calls on my part to get NETR to schedule the electrical inspection by the town inspector. The first inspection required some corrections, which were completed quickly and passed the second inspection. Other than this one hangup, we're very pleased with the HVAC installation. Fall 2021 Ivan, Caleb, and Joe worked hard for two full days installing our Mitsubishi heat pump and mini-splits. They were friendly, wore their masks, explained what they were doing, and showed us how the system worked. We're very pleased with their work. We also got great support from Chip and Victoria, who helped us with planning and paperwork for our Mass Save rebate application. NETR installation team arrived on time and immediately initiated assessment of each location for installation of ductless AC - mini-splits (5). All workers presented themselves in a professional manner - introducing themselves and their roles. Not only do I love my mini splits NETR's customer service is outstanding. First, the installation was done by a technician named Jerry, who was everything a customer could want -- on time, personable, included me in decision making (where things should go), clear in his explanations, and he left without a trace of work having been done, except of course my mini splits. A year later I needed to have one of the mini split's exterior work to be moved in order to do a deck project. What made it a little complicated is that it had to be coordinated with the contractor. Although by the time I called they were scheduling 8 weeks out, Peter diMaria made arrangements for a tech to come out much sooner and at the time it was best for my contractor. This technician, Donald, went over with me the task at hand, understood what I was asking, but then suggested an alternative way of working it which saved me literally $ 1000.00. His earnestness and creativity turned a kind of difficult task into a completely do-able one that coordinated with my contractor perfectly. Everyone I have had any contact with at NETR has gone out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend them!

Not only were they deliberate and careful, but they honored my requests and even though it was a bit more work put in an incredibly slick, very professional installation. Equipment was tested after installation, work areas were cleaned up and a pre-filled out form for the MassSave rebate was also provided. I first dealt with NETR a couple years ago when they were one of the City of Somerville's official partners on a heat pump (ductless mini split) installation campaign. We wanted to install a 1 or 2-zone system, but my condo has a number of unique complications, so we weren't able to go forward with the project at that time. Fast-forward a couple years, and we decided to revisit the idea. We also decided to go big or go home this time, with a 5-zone system for the whole house. This time we got estimates from two other companies first, but one provided an extremely high quote and the other basically said that we were asking an impossible job that they could not do. So we reached out to NETR again, and it worked out great. The NETR price was literally more than 10K less (!!!) than what we were quoted by the other company, and they took care of all the secondary project burdens like City of Somerville building permits, upgrading our electrical service, etc. They gave us a clear idea of what to expect in terms of construction disruption, the workers were friendly and unobtrusive, and they finished the work right on schedule. It's too early to speak with certainty about the quality of the system we installed, but we are thrilled to finally have this project complete, and are very satisfied with the pricing, service, and installation work.

We received 5+ quotes for a new installation of an HVAC system. Chip was straightforward, honest, and reliable. We had a ton of questions for him and he answered all of them within 24 hours. NETR was the most affordable with top of the line systems. He guided us through the Mass Save Heat Loan process as well as the Mass Save rebates. This is the only online review I’ve ever taken the time to write. Nearly three years ago, NETR installed a multi-zone AC system in my condo, top floor of an old building with a black rubber roof. The main zone for the living room/kitchen never cooled the space properly, even though there was nothing wrong with the equipment and it was sized correctly. NETR assured me they would not stop working with me until it worked correctly, and came out multiple times (for free). After a couple summers, we finally concluded that the issue has to do with the amount of heat rising from the floors below in the building, combined with no ceiling insulation and the rubber roof. Not their equipment or expertise. Even though they didn’t have to do it, they came out last week and installed another AC unit on the other side of the kitchen, with a second outdoor compressor. For free. Any other installer would have washed their hands clean after the contracted work was done, let alone come back later and install more equipment on their own dime. If you’re going to spend the money on something as big as AC/Heat, you want a company that stands by their customers—go with NETR.

Only one problem, in the process we gave our AC units away:( We decided after researching who the best in the business was in our area for the Mitsubishi split system. By far NETR was rating super high but you never know about those reviews we thought. 2020 has brought on many challenging and difficult circumstances with Covid-19. I hired NETR Service for a preventative check-up and cleaning of my Mitsubishi Mini-Split. I found NETR via a " You Tube" video, how to reprogram the Remote Control , which got erased changing batteries. I then watched another video about Annual Maintenance / Cleaning. Last year I had this done, by another company, who climbed a step ladder, removed the front panel and sprayed condensed air inside the unit. That was it, finished in 15 minutes (including the large outside unit!) NETR put down a drop cloth, brought supplies, ladder and a machine into the home, which took @ 10 minutes of set-up.....then cleaned the unit. I was shown the filter roll before cleaning, before un-drilling screws for deeper access to the $7,000 Mini-Split interior. All of this work, plus checking my outdoor Main unit (which I did not observe) cost a total of $125.10 and a duration of an hour! Last year I paid that other company $110.00 I HIGHLY recommend NETR Inc for A/C and Refrigeration Finally, my technician Ray F. couldn't have been nicer, or professional.
