Tim was our salesman and walked me through the first time start up. Very thorough and professional. Matt and Eric did an outstanding job installing our new Generac generator. They were professional and very willing to work with me to ensure the equipment was installed in just the right location. The placement of the generator, transfer switch and the wiring in between were meticulously installed. They cleaned up all areas before they left. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them!

Matt and Eric showed up on schedule and installed a new Generac Home back up generator a few weeks ago which took several hours. This was followed by an electrical inspection by the City. The weekly self-test by the generator is proceeding as set up. Both Matt and Eric were courteous and very professional. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. The entire process was smooth and stress free for us. I would recommend Cotti-Johnson's without any reservation.

I had Brian from Cotti-Johnson out today to do a survey for an electric vehicle charger installation that will be a bit complicated. Brian was extremely communicative before the appointment, flexible with scheduling options, and quite helpful during the survey visit. While I haven't yet received the estimate, so far I have been very impressed. I'll update this review once the work has been completed.

Daniel and his apprentice did a great job outfitting our garage with 3 new circuits. They cleaned up after themselves and made minimal mess to begun with. They needed to make a few cuts in the wall to feed wires, and did a great job patching over them smoothly afterwards. All in all, got an estimate a week ago, booked the appointment for the following week, and took about 4 hours start to finish and looks very professionally done, would recommend Cotti-Johnson for their professional conduct, clarity in pricing, and quick service.

The Transfer switch for a Generac generator failed I was pretty sure from a surge I had guessed and that was correct. As the only power had been the generator, the service man switched to line and has ordered the necessary parts, plus a surge protector, which wasn't part of the original installation by others. Service man was knowledgeable, friendly, easy to talk to and efficient. I'd recommend highly.

They explain to me exactly what they were going to do and they did it. They cleaned up their mess I had no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this company.They have bent over backwards for me. Doing this survey I realized it was things that I didn't know this company does. So now I'm going to call them back and have my air ducts clean and etc.

Jake trouble shot my system and unique issues I was having. He went as far as to test another thermostat and found my "new" thermostat I was using wasn't communicating right with my A/C and furnace. Buying a new thermostat wasn't my ideal scenario but it was the right choice to solve my issues I've struggled with for a couple years now. Now the right system will run when it's supposed to. Amazing to not have to fight with it anymore or bang on my furnace like Fonzie.

Electrical work is very important to any home owner and they have made me feel that my tenants are safe because of how professional they conduct themselves and do the work. All the workers have shown me the safety checks that they do before and after the work is done to ensure everything is safe and up to code. Jacob came out and within the first hour took apart a difficult Rinnai system, and diagnosed that mice had found a new home. It was great to watch how fast he worked and to know that moving forward a simple pest control “mesh” can prevent this from happening again.

I used Cotti-Johnson electrical services to service my Generac generator. They arrived on time, did a great job, but the absolute best part was the service tech helping with a special issue. I have had chipmunks getting into the base of my generator and no one was willing to help with this, but the tech explained that the holes weren't air vents, just spaces for allowing techs to move the generator. They filled the holes with steel wool and now, I'm all set, and don't have to worry about chipmunks damaging the wires. I am so relieved and they did a fabulous job!

I had a variety of additional 20 amp circuits and outlets installed in the basement and garage, as well as a whole house surge protector and a generator installed as well. Communication before and during the installation was often and he made sure he understood exactly what I wanted. The quality of work was excellent, and he cleaned up after himself so that you never knew he was here. He was friendly, even to my dogs who sometimes pestered him. Stacey who took my phone calls was friendly and great to work with too. You wouldn't necessarily think to go to an HVAC company for electrical work (I didn't), but this was a nice find that I stumbled across. Completely satisfied and will return to them for any additional electrical work that I may need to have done in the future.

Water Heater: Aaron came out at 7:30am the day after I called to report an issue with my water heater. How responsive can you get!? He very quickly and professionally drained the system using a pump to augment the hose, to get out the particulates that build up on the bottom of the tank ( I didn’t realize this should be done every year!) and replaced a corroded vacuum valve on the tank.The noise has stopped, things are humming along, and hopefully I will get a few more years out of it. In addition, Aaron is a positive, outright happy technician - I’ve run into a lot of dour, wishing they were retired types. Aaron was a pleasure to deal with. As my tank is getting on the older side, he explained the first signs of impending failure, plus he showed me where my particular water shut off’s are located among the many pipes in my furnace room. As a bonus, he checked my furnace filter ( has about a month left before needing replacement…perfect!). And reset my smart thermostat which I could never quite get right. I discovered Cotti-Johnson through Costco. To get Costco’s endorsement I knew they had to be top notch. They replaced my furnace a couple of years ago and fixed a critical electrical problem while they were at it! (You may have guessed I have an older house, God help me). Cotti-Johnson - highly recommend.

Steve and his team did a great job updating the wiring on our 120 year old house. The work that they did was to install a new 200 Amp service with a new breaker panel and some new circuits for the electric water heater and an air conditioner plus installing some new lighting in the dining room, kitchen and back yard. The also did a whole house evaluation of the existing wiring. They took pride in their work, had a can do attitude. They know old houses and really seem to love working on them. Steve also explained everything to excess, which I really liked.

Adam was awesome both times he came out to work on our ductless system. It was a lengthy leak fix and refill bit Adam was cheerful and patient the whole time. He explained everything, gave his best advice, and wore a mask without prompt (we have a two month old, no shots yet). Couldn't have asked for a nicer tech. Only thing that I wouldn't give 5 stars is their pricing, it's very high. But you have to weigh that with the quality of service.

The service and knowledge level of the repair was outstanding! The techs are all professional, and have no issue wearing shoe coverings to protect your flooring. However, after paying for my service, my card was later charged for an additional service call at a different client. I called and they refunded my credit card at which time I requested that they remove my card from my file. It would have been better if they gave me the option to store or remove it, and it all could have been avoided.

It was the weekend every HVAC emergency service I contacted was either not servicing customers they did not install system or were not an existing customer, boy was I feeling despair. I have been diagnosed with severe asthma. My central air conditioner broke. I recently was hospitalized in the ICU on a ventilator due to respiratory failure needless to say I was full of fear because my house was very hot and humid and the air was becoming intolerable to breathe, my only resort was to go to a hotel or stay in my car until I could get this problem resolved. This wonderful man ‘Chris” informed me that he was booked with appointments late into the night but would put me on the schedule and see me in about 3 hrs. I told him how much I appreciate him including me on the schedule and I thanked him and I’ll wait in my car for him cause I couldn’t go in the house. Moments later he called me back and informed me that he was able to push his appointments out and would be to me in 35 minutes. Chris and his other lovely partner arrived and they got the AC unit fixed in 1 hour or less and the cost was reasonable. They were kind, experienced, professional, friendly, quick and empathetic to my emergency. GOD bless Cotti & Johnson. I was quoted around 600 by the first guy but there was a storm coming so it had to be rescheduled. The vacuum process took around 40 minutes. We had an OK experience with Cotti Johnson. After getting quotes from multiple HVAC vendors, we went with Costco - I thought it was the best deal after considering the 15% cash back and rebates. Seems like Costco outsourced HVAC work to Cotti Johnson in MA. The sales rep and office manager were quite responsive and provided/completed all required paperwork (rebates, permits, insurance, etc) quickly. We faced a few issues/concerns though: The Lennox HVAC system was installed in August. The installing team had to come again the second day after installation as they did not install the correct thermostat (installed a very cheap/basic one) and I had to report this to them later that day. Also the system did not work properly the day it was installed. The installers did not clean the area properly and left without putting some of the ceiling panels back in its place. After a few months we realized the system wasn't working properly as the AC was pumping cold air (less than 60 F) and warm air in the winter. We called Cotti-Johnson and they sent a technician the next day. After reviewing the settings in the thermostat and the furnace, the guy said that there was a big mistake in the initial settings during the installation. The settings were done for a heat pump system but we did not have one. I think we probably overpaid hundreds of dollars in gas bills during the 6 months that we didn't notice this issue. I have to say the service technician was a nice guy, he patiently diagnosed the problem, fixed it and also did minor modifications (we asked him to re-do the condensation pipe as it was a few inches away from the air duct and we thought our guests are gonna accidentally hit it one day) that we asked for free of cost. Overall its an OK experience. If it were not for Costco's generous incentives and customer service, I am not sure that I would have gone with Cotti Johnson.

Cotti-Johnson upgraded our electric service from 100AMP to 200AMP, installed a generator connection , provided a 10-foot power cord, delivered and trained on a Generac generator, installed a power failure/restoration alarm system, wattage meter, added a subpanel for future growth, upgraded an extra 220V plug, installed whole house circuit breaker (code), relocated our outside service and upgraded to code and added copper wiring for resilience, installed a hybrid electric water heater with expansion tank, mixing valve, condensate drainage, and completed all wiring to the water heater ... in two days and coordinated all permitting with the town and teamwork among plumbing and electrical at Cotti-Johnson. Team members Tim, Mike, Ashlee, TJ (electrical) and Aaron (plumbing) were courteous, professional, capable, personable, and kind. My family and I are deeply appreciative that this big (to us) project was handled completely by a centralized resource. Thank you, Cotti-Johnson team!
