Tech was awesome! Overall experience was good. Anthony was an amazing, courteous, professional, friendly, knowledgeable tech. I'd recommend him all day long. The experience was good, but challenging. The house is unoccupied, and required me to drive 45 minutes (each way) to meet Anthony for the work. Having to do that three times before we could get the problem solved was a lot. I understand troubleshooting, and troubleshooting over the holidays (2022) didn't help matters. I don't have anything to compare this to on price. Fix was expensive, but it's an old system, so I kinda understand.

Julius was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. He used shoe covers when he entered my home (without asking if I wanted him to, which was great) and removed them each time he went in and out of my home. He got to work promptly and answered all of my questions. I had bought the wrong water replacement filter and he explained how I could make sure I got the right filter. He fixed the issues with my toilet and shower. He explained that he would return with the parts needed to fix my faucet drip. The price was reasonable for the services provided. I will definitely contact them again.

Julius Ford recently helped us with a hot water heater replacement and repair of the cold water supply pipe. He has excellent plumbing skills and demonstrated a lot of patience to ensure the job was done correctly. Julius also went the extra mile working in cold December weather, outside, elbow deep in water in support our service request. The installation of a standby generator for my home couldn't have gone better. A large team arrived for 2 days, with Mr. Mike B. as the lead installer. He was professional throughout this process and clearly an expert. He's been doing this for a long time, and it shows. Home projects easily overwhelm me, but Mr. Mike was a calming force that eased all concern. My generator system looks great. All inspections have been passed. For the first time in many years, I can face the hurricane season without fear. And many thanks to Brenda and others at the office for their endless patience with me. I've delayed this project so many times while caring for my disabled child, but it's finally done. If a power outage comes my way, I will shelter in place with confidence. Thanks Belair!

Mark came and did repair and maintenance on our gas fireplace. He was very professional and efficient. He initially thought it was a part that needed replacement, but then found that it was the wiring. He repaired it and did not replace or charge us for a part that was not really needed. We also asked about getting more heat out of our fireplace. He consulted other people at Belair Engineering before responding and gave us the real answer, that there was no blower or other way to enhance the type of log set that we had. He then offered to follow-up on whether there may be a new type of fireplace door with some way to get more heat into the room and keep it from going out the chimney. We were very pleased with with the service provided. He was also very pleasant, joking and took time to talk with our 6-year old grandson. I highly recommend Mark and Belair Engineering.

Brendan, is just the bestest!! I had a leaky faucet issue and a broken turn-off valve so I hired Belair Engineering for the repair. They sent over Brendan. He was so cool (polite, courteous) and masterfully skilled at the job at hand. He fully explained to me the issue and the solution taken to fix the problem. He fixed the leak, only to have another one pop-up! Once he completed the initial repair and turned the main water line back on water began leaking underneath my kitchen sink, through the ceiling and into the basement below. He was just about packed up and ready to go when I discovered this, but he still jumped right in and fixed it anyway. No hesitation. No complaint. Just awesome! And all the while doing this, he maintained the in-home protocols (shoe covers, etc.) He even helped me clean up the leak which he didn't have to do. And for those of you a little "particular" like me ...you know not quite OCD, but right at that line :-) it mattered. I would not hesitate to call the company for your plumbing issues. They have a great response time, follow-thru, fair pricing and A++ service. And when you do, be sure to have the work request assigned to one of the best, ultimate professional, and skilled plumbers around - Appreciate You, Brendan!!

We are so VERY pleased with Belair Engineering and their service!! We had a serious situation when our tenants had no heat in December! I was first told we needed a new furnace by another company and was given a HUGE estimate. This was very frustrating because this furnace was just 6 yrs old! Belair became our hero when they told us we needed a new heat exchanger and that it was under warranty and that we just needed to pay labor!! CJ went to work for us in talking to the manufacturers, getting the parts, and keeping us abreast of things. There was a delay due to Covid and the work was done as soon as the parts arrived. I don't know who did the actual work ,but thank you sir for a wonderful job as I know this was a detailed repair!! We have notified our property manager that we would like to go under your Service Agreement starting now. Thank you Belair Engineering for such dedication and good work. We are VERY grateful and so relieved to have heat for our tenants!! I HIGHLY recommend Belair Engineering!!

When we discovered in the middle of the night on a weekend that our furnace had tripped off, I called Belair because they had great reviews and could be reached 24/7. Over their chat feature online, I opted to schedule a non-emergency visit the following afternoon during regular business hours. The technician arrived as scheduled and looked at my furnace for about 25 minutes and proceeded to diagnose it with a cracked heat exchanger, and two other parts that required replacement that would cost > $3k, but due to the age (12 yrs old) of the furnace and that it was a lower quality nordyne brand, he recommended replacement. He was friendly and thoroughly answered all my questions. When I asked how he knew the heat exchanger was cracked, he essentially said that was an assessment based on the safety switch that was tripped, not a visual observation because the location of the part is difficult to get to. I proceeded to meet with a Belair salesman who arrived that evening and took the time to explain details and answer my many questions. They were offering a promotion at the time and had great deal on total system replacement. I received estimates for Goodman and Carrier systems. I am confident had I signed a contract with Belair, the work likely would have been done well and at a great price. However, I subsequently got a second opinion from another local HVAC company who looked at my furnace and said my heat exchanger was not cracked and it had tripped for air flow reasons and it had a faulty blower wheel and motor. The second company stated it may be possible to repair the furnace by replacing blower parts and doing a deep cleaning (as regular maintenance had probably not ever been done) for around $700. I ultimately opted for total system replacement done by the other company as I felt they provided a more honest and/or skilled diagnosis of the furnace condition.

Belair has done 2 major projects for me after years of servicing my air conditioning system. I recently replaced both my 26 year old air conditioning system and hot water heater. I also replaced a kitchen sink faucet. I have always received good service when I've called and the men who have come to my home have been punctual, friendly, efficient and professional. I first met Brendan, who works in the plumbing side of the business, when he was doing a repair at a friend's home. I told him about work I needed done at my home and he encouraged me to reach out to the company when I was ready to do the work. I was impressed with his professionalism and the fact that he was not pushy. Months later, I requested for him to come out to give an estimate for my water heater and again was impressed with his patience and clarity in answering my questions and his explanation of the scope of the work. Months later, I actually contracted with the company to do the water heater and AC system work and am very pleased with the final results. The office staff has been exceptional with scheduling and financing help. The care all of the employees with whom I have interacted have shown, during the COVID-19 pandemic has been impressive as well. Everyone has come out with masks and gloves and respected social distancing guidelines. I learned from Buddy, one of the AC installers, that Belair is a female owned company. My furnace that Belair installed has worked extremely well for a long number of years with them always servicing my furnace, but I lost my air-conditioning (the outside part that pumps either the heat or air) into my home when a board inside that unit failed. Re-scheduled original seasonal service contract check when the pandemic broke out, but got a recommendation from someone who had theirs done and saw it come off safely and efficiently. Belair explained their safety procedures and told me my responsibilities, and found an opening relatively quickly, compared to the usual long backlog. Abe was the technician; it was my first time with him, and he was punctual, called in advance to tell me he was on his way, then finished the inspection quickly, walked me through the results, and did it all while socially distancing and wearing his mask. On Sunday, I noticed my condensation reservoir pump was running nonstop but was not draining the reservoir. I could not drain the reservoir nor could I shut off the pump without unplugging it, which meant I had to turn off my heat pump. The heat index Monday was predicted to be over 100 degrees. Ugh!!! I have been a customer of Belair Engineering for years, and they installed my heat pump. I have maintained a yearly maintenance contract with them. Now that my system is getting a little age on it, the maintenance contract is a lifesaver. So, not realizing they answer the phone 24 hours a day, I went on line (internet website) to schedule an appointment and ended up "chatting" with a representative. We decided I needed to schedule an appointment, but he was unable to do so on the system (it was 2 am Monday morning). He said he would have them call me first thing. I expected I would have to call to make an appointment; however, first thing in the morning I did receive a call stating they received my request. They sent Paul M out first thing, scheduled between 9 and 1 pm. He called 45 minutes in advance and arrived right around 10 a.m. I explained the problem. He quickly assessed the issue and cleared the clog in my condensation line. I asked a gazillion questions about upkeep of the system and cleaning the pump, and he answered them all to my satisfaction, educating me on the do's and don'ts of the condensate line maintenance. Paul M was not only knowledgeable and efficient, he had a very friendly manner, was very respectful, and had a great sense of humor, given the "heat" of the situation. I get a little stressed regarding contractor interactions, but he put me right at ease. He told me the maintenance plan saved me a good deal of money as this service was covered, and I was delighted and relieved. Paul is an outstanding representative for Belair Engineering. So, once again, Belair Engineering has exceeded my expectations and served me extremely well......and saved me and my pets from an uncomfortably "heated" situation. Paul was delightful and got the job done well and quickly and was on his way. I am now WAY COOL thanks to Belair Engineering.

Belair engineering gave us a very good deal on our system which I truly did appreciate. One think that was hard was that in the middle of a massive heat wave we had to wait two weeks for the installation of our new system. Another problem I had was that Belair did not give us a window of time on the two days that we have to be home for inspections. In fact they said that it was impossible to get the window of time. I simply had to stay at home all day and wait for a knock on the door. Later I found out from the WSSC inspector that I could have called early in the morning and then been given a two hour window for when the inspector was going to be there, after giving them the permit number. Belair engineering stated when I asked them that they could not give me the number for me to call the inspector myself. This was just not true. I believe that Bel Air customer service definitely needs to be improved in this regard to show more respect for their customers’ time. These systems are very expensive and top notch customer service should be a given.

Could have been sooner than I scheduled but previous appts. prevented me from electing an earlier date. Not Belair problem but totally based on my availability. My bathroom toilet was overflowing as well as my kitchen sink leaking. I called Belair Engineering & Service on Monday, April 20, 2020. Tech, Tony was dispatched to my house on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 and diagnosed the two problems. He fixed both within 20 minutes! Tony placed a paper towel down (under the kitchen cabinet sink and stated if the sink leaks again call back and someone will come out again. Well, guess what??? When I checked the paper towel, it was a water circle on it. I contacted Belair again and Tony came out to my house on Wednesday, April 23, 2020. He once again troubleshooted the problem, (explained what he was doing) identified the leak, and resolved it all within 35 minutes of his arrival. Russel called me to confirm our appointment this morning and was right on time. Even though they had a 1 hour window he was there right at the designated time. How many companies can do that these days? He proceeded to do a summer cleaning and check of our systems current status. He discovered that even though our A/C unit was working he found that their was no voltage to the blower unit. Someone during our renovations had turned off the furnace breaker switch and this caused our blower unit not to be functioning. I wondered why our upstairs was so much warmer than the downstairs. He found the problem right away and got the system working to its full capability within about 10 minutes. I had thought there was a problem like poor insulation in the upstairs rooms and was preparing to install more insulation. He also not only checked the various components but answered my questions about the different system check points. Belair Engineering had installed our new heating and A/C unit back in 2010 and everything checked out fine after Russel's service on the units. He even took out some cleaning fluids and wiped down the unit to bring back that new shine look. I was very pleased with his professionalism during the service call. Yesterday we had out routine, Spring AC system check. The technician who came was Russell. What a pleasure to have him keeping the equipment in good shape. He called ahead of time to say when he was on his way, and called on the cell phone so I didn't have to keep dodging telemarketers on the house phone. He was enthusiastic and seemed to want to be doing nothing else but being on the job checking my house. As a consumer, my impression of a company is mostly based on the technician who comes out to the house. And what a good rep Russell is. Send him back for the Fall tune up on the furnace!! I am writing to edit my original response. This Fall we had the annual furnace check up. Warren G was the tech who responded, and completed the usual methodical system review. He also was very patient answering some additional questions I had. We discussed installing a new water heater (it was 10 years old) and he wrote up an estimate during the visit. Several days later, Santos and Diego installed the water heater. My primary reason for writing this edit is to mention that Belair handles the permit and coordinates with WSSC for the inspection. The Belair office calls when they have contact with WSSC, and then we call the inspector for a Facetime inspection. It sounds daunting but the office, all the staff in the installations and inspections office at Belair, were so helpful and patient. And the inspector was looking at all the things that Santos had done exactly to code. As a customer, we really depend on the mechanics to do things according to Code the first time, so nobody has to come back. And that is exactly - exactly - how the job was done. We are so pleased.
