To be with any company for 20 years,-is like a marriage. Sometimes you may disagree but it is wonderful to see a project come to fruition. Needless to say, I have never had a bad customer experience with B&B. I have always been treated with respect and professionalism. Cesar and Twane had a big task to complete. They had to accommodate my unique configuration and explain the options to me. Then came the wait and my research. The installation was efficiently completed by Cesar and Edgar. There were maybe two others who had to come on site to assist as well. Jack stayed in touch with me from the beginning to the end. When calling, never am I on hold for extended periods or given an empty promise for a call back. Speaking to a live person resonates far! Thank you for always keeping me and my family comfortable. After a terrible night of sleep due to the heat, Dan and Isaac showed up the same day I called B&B. They were able to very quickly diagnose and fix the issue with my A/C unit very quickly during the DC heat wave. The price was excellent and I signed up for their yearly maintenance plan on the spot. Our AC system stopped blowing cold air. My neighbor recommended B&B, so I called and two of their team (Alan and Caesar) came that very morning. They replaced a burned out capacitor. Moreover, they showed me how to clean the coils on the outside condenser to keep it running efficiently, which will save in costs long term. I was impressed by that.

I have been under contract with B&B for many years. I have old HVAC equipment and B&B could take advantage and tell me that the furnace or A/C must be replaced. B&B does not do that. The company does whatever it can to save my HVAC system & thereby save me money, so I trust them without reservation. Unfortunately, my hot water heater has a leak & must be replaced. Although it costs more than I expected, because of my long track record with B&B, I trust the company when its techs say that it has to be replaced. In addition, Dave & Isaac gave me the estimate & were great techs. Cesar & Edgar actually did the installation. They were all very knowledgeable and professional and answered all of our questions, left the workspace clean, explained the new equipment & did a great job installing the equipment. Thanks B&B!

After installation of a brand new HVAC we had no maintenance for 3 years. We felt it was time having someone looking after the system on a regular basis. Knowing B&B Air-conditioning Rockville from earlier times we asked for a maintenance service agreement. B&B reacted very quick and very professional. The entire process was simple and effective. My heat broke down on the coldest night of the year (Dec. 23rd). I called 5 different companies but only B&B responded and had it fixed on Christmas Eve. Ivan the technician was excellent, went above and beyond fixing the heating and fixed a clogged/dislocated pipe that wasn't allowing air in the main bedroom. Completely satisfied.

Daniel, Manuel and Antonio arrived on time to install and replace a 37 year old central air conditioner. The main unit was up 3 flights of stairs. They did the installation quietly, with the most utmost professionalism, left the house immaculate, were very kind to me and did a superb job. The first repair people who came out totally failed in fixing the situation. They put in a new pump and left without waiting to see if the problem has been solved. I called back two hours later and a new person came out who figured out that the problem was with the hose. He installed a temporary bypass hose. He was very nice and helpful. the person who came in to install the new permanent hose realised that the problem was fixable with the old hose and removed a blockage and everything has been fine ever since. the last person to come was Alan and he was truly terrific. I can’t recommend him more highly.

A/C went out yesterday and was extremely hot these last two days, called and fit us in next day (today) even with a full schedule. Andy was great fixed the problem and also checked out why in my panel box the one labeled air kept going out and even checked the size of the filters for me so I could get new ones, since they didn’t carry that size. We have been working with B&B for a couple of years. Last year, we needed to have our old air handler replaced. The B&B team was highly professional and competent. We did not price shop primarily because our experience with B&B gave us confidence that the installation and equipment would be quality. We have not been disappointed. I woke up one January morning to discover I had no heat. I called B&B and they sent out Cesar promptly. He quickly diagnosed the issue - the company that had installed my new furnace and AC 18 months earlier had run an uninsulated pipe from the condensate pump to the outside, which froze when temperatures dipped, cutting off my furnace. Cesar rigged up a temporary fix that provided me heat and then came back the next day with his colleague Melvin to sort out the permanent fix. It was all done quickly, professionally and with a smile. That's why I have a contract with B&B.

Along with the usual checkup, he spotted issues with our igniter, which he replaced, also replaced the filter on the humidifier and adjusted it for the next few months....and he flushed our water heater....something I was about to try doing. I've used B&B for several services, AC repair, duct cleaning, and installing a whole house humidifier. Every time they showed up right on time, were courteous and professional, did a great job, and charged less than other people I got quotes from. With my AC they were even able to show up the same day it broke. I signed up for the annual service a while back. This Spring they called me proactively to set up the annual inspection (to me this is the sign of a good business, since they already have my money they could have left it up to me to call and schedule my annual inspection). Melvin came out and looked at everything, he was very helpful, professional, courteous, etc. He was able to look everything over, very thorough, great service. I tried out a couple of other companies over the years before finding B&B, I have definitely been much more impressed with the quality and price of B&B compared to others.

Technician (Pak) arrived promptly, very conscientious about COVID 19 protocol, and began an inspection of the a/c system which had stopped operating the night before. Because we are on an annual maintenance plan the company responded within 30 minutes of our call. Pak replaced the blower fan and related electronics. B&B has been maintaining the system for over 20 years. When they make recommendations we believe them. It isn’t a matter of upselling. The system does need periodic replacement of minor parts which are not included in our annual maintenance contract and the charges are reasonable. Pak has provided annual inspection in the past and we expect to see him again. Thanks

When B&B came to do the install, they discovered that my 20+ year old furnace had cracked heat exchangers (a safety issue that I verified) and recommended that the furnace be replaced. Melvin examined my air conditioner and identified the problem with my underperforming AC. The coil/condenser was slowly leaking Freon and the outdoor unit's coils needed a major cleaning. He got the required parts and installed them today with Thuan's assistance. After removing the leaking coil and replacing it professionally, the outside coils were cleaned and inspected, and unit was recharged with freon and tested. In brief, BB A/C and Heating installed a new tankless heater to replace an old tank heater that was beginning to fail. It was quite old, I was tired of having the repairman put more bandaids on it, and I wanted to reduce my monthly heating. I had planned on installing an electric model, but the inspector who came out found that I lacked the capacity in my home to run a unit of the size I needed to install. So, we agreed to go with a gas model. This actually worked out well, as we were able to use the existing flue that had been installed for my gas furnace and water tank, and my electrical bill hasn't increased as much as it might have. Once we agreed on the system to be installed and the location, we scheduled a date for the installation team to return with the new equipment. I have to say, Daniel and Manuel were just great: Removed the old heater after draining it, then worked nonstop to remove unneeded pipes and connect a new GFCI outlet to run the electrical part of the new unit. When they left, the area was practically spotless. Also, I had forgotten to ask them to repair a leak in the pipe that I'd found a few months earlier. Daniel proposed a simple fix that would be 100% effective, was cheap and could be installed quickly. He was right on all points-all good now! Pros and Cons when moving to a tankless water heating system: - If you install a central tankless heater as I did, you need to understand that there will always be a delay in getting hot water: Since the water in the pipe between the unit and the tap isn't constantly heated, the system has to heat water and basically flush the unheated water in the pipe out of the tap before you get what you want. However, this only takes maybe 30 seconds and once it starts, it doesn't stop. Really loving my extended showers now! You can get around this issue (if it bothers you) by installing multiple tankless heaters next to sinks, shower, etc. There will be little or no delay in getting hot water, but you'll need more electrical outlets and it may be more expensive to purchase and install. - There's a lot more plumbing than I expected. When you look at photos of the various models, you generally see a photo of a box on the wall with few or no attachments. In reality, you have pipes going in and out, a drain line below, a catch basin below in case it leaks or you need to flush it...It's not neat and tidy. I do have a place to put it where it's basically out of sight, but it takes up a lot more room than I expected. In future, I may see what can be done to relocate it so that it doesn't take up so much space in the area previously occupied by my ac/furnace and tank heater. - The heater only heats when you've got the tap open. I only get quarterly gas bills, so I'm still waiting to see the impact on my gas bill and electrical. The gas should be much lower, because in addition to only heating water "on demand," I also don't have a gas furnace anymore (replaced it with a heat pump). I'm also careful to run the cold water if I don't need hot water: It takes a while for the water to heat up, and I often turn off the tap before that happens. So, looking forward to my next gas bill. In summary, B&B provided great work for a reasonable price, and best of all, they answered my initial phone call, came out to determine the work that needed to be done, then returned quickly and completed the work. Jeff saved the day! He deserves a 5 star rating but the company gets 3 so I am giving an overall 4 star rating. The company is very good at responding to problems but the problems should not have happenend in the first place or taken multiple visits to fix. We had a new AC unit installed and 2 weeks later, the fuses that allowed the outdoor condenser to kick on kept blowing. Multiple people tried to fix it and, upon my request, one of the service managers inspected the AC unit but it kept happening. When Jeff came, he didn't just replace the fuses, he figured out why it was happening and fixed the underlying cause. It has been working great since. Thanks Jeff. This issue was stressful.

Technician Pak found a few maintenance issues, and carefully answered all my questions, explaining each service item. For example, Pak described how a pan pad controls mold, and why it needs to be replaced periodically. I looked it up online on an independent website, and found more about what he was explaining, all consistent. B&B is not the cheapest company out there, but they’re easy to deal with and reliable. My air handler unit is 7years old. It was purchased and installed by B and B and is under their maintenance contract. I have used B&B HVAC for almost 30 years for my own home and also for the multiple rental properties that I manage. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. For example just recently they diagnosed and fixed an air conditioner unit that had been newly installed by another HVAC company prior to my purchase of the property. The other, bad HVAC company installed the A/C unit incorrectly causing ongoing refrigerant leaks. The bad company was unable to diagnosis or fix the leak and didn't even warranty their work. B&B HVAC came to my rescue once again and immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it without any hassle. I have worked with their offices in Rockville, MD, Gaithersburg, MD, and Virginia. They have both repaired and replaced furnaces and air conditioners for me on multiple occasions. All have been excellent. I highly recommend this company and would not consider using another.
