I am a tenant and my heating/ cooling units were having issues. It seemed like no one would find a solution to the problem. Zak Manning came in with solutions in mind! He was very thorough, friendly, patient, and professional. I asked many questions and Zak explained everything. Zak is an amazing technician! 10/10 definitely recommend! Thanks Zak for getting my units up and running so my family and I can keep warm in this cold weather! You’re the best!

Our tech Tony was AMAZING! This company was the only company to service us during a crisis. Our AC went out during a heat wave. They sent Tony he asked very little questions and got straight to work. He’s truly that good. He couldn’t fix it right away due to needing parts but he insured us he’d be back the next day to render some relief and damn it he was there and by the time I came home I was greeted by a much cooler house. I appreciate the promptness, professionalism, and empathy he had towards our situation. Tony if you get to read this your a blessing. Thank you!

I found Amazing Heating & Air Conditioning at the Home & Garden Show at Timonium Fairgrounds and had them out for an estimate. They were less expensive with higher quality equipment than the other two quotes I got for installation of a mini-split. All materials came on time and installation was completed in a day and premises were left spotless. Today Zach came out for my free maintenance inspection. Everything checked out perfectly. We have literally never been so comfortable all summer in our home as we have been with this unit running and it is so much more cost effective than our other A/C unit which we keep as back up. I can highly recommend Amazing Heating & Air Conditioning.

Oil furnace stopped working, called Amazing Heating & Air. They came out the same day. Couldn't fix right then had to order parts. Serviceman Tony explained problem and what was going to be done to fix it. Gave me a quote and also informed me of ways to reduce this cost by joining service plan. He explained the benifits but put no pressure on me to sign up. When parts arrived I was contacted by Amazing to schedule a time for them to come out and fix my furnace. With text and emails and phone calls I felt like they paying me a lot of attention which is important when you are having troubles, you don't want to be forgotten. Service was outstanding, prices decent, work was done in a timely manner with outstanding quality to detail. I would recommend and use Amazing again!

My air conditioner stopped working on the holiday weekend. I called Amazing Heating & Air Conditioner since they replaced my old one with the new one for service. Unfortunately they couldn't come right when I needed them (so I had to stay on a hot house) but they came out right after the holiday and got the air working. Tony (service guy) was very professional and didn't waste anytime getting the unit working. I would recommend this company to anyone needing heating and AC services.

Service was great. Andre was excellent, explained things clearly, and arrived ahead of schedule. Only complaint is that, after a discount for signing up for their program, it cost $930 to replace to replace parts that combined cost less than 50 bucks and labor that only took about an hour. Diagnostic (which entailed the tech listening to the DX unit for all of a few seconds) cost $79 and was not removed upon doing the labor. This pricing seems to intentionally prey on people in an emergency. I had no choice but to get the work done as my house was 86 degrees and rising. One hour of work should not cost this much.

Chris came to my house this morning to take a look at my steam boiler system. With 2 little kids, it was a big deal that we did not have heat. Chris was by far one of the most respectful, kind, and knowledgeable contractors I have worked with since moving to Baltimore. Not only did he get our heat running within 2 hours, the day after I called in a service request, but I genuinely enjoyed talking with him and learning more about his career and experience. Zak came to fix our thermostat and condensation pump. We’re REALLY glad he was able to come out right away this morning, since we spent the weekend without heat, as I think most of Carroll County did. First, I reached out to four companies via email/contact us form. Amazing is the only company that actually followed up with us. This started when we realized our HVAC system was only working on the top floor. Zach came and inspected diagnosed the issue and even showed us an issue that we didn't know we had. He was clean, professional, respectful, and funny. Fast forward to Greg coming to give us an estimate on a new system. He gave us options and while we were not prepared to go with the most expensive option, the one we chose was explained thoroughly. Greg was honest and had the opportunity to ipsell when we asked a question. He told us that our request wouldn't be good for the house and ultimately would be a waste of money. We scheduled the install of the split HVAC system for two weeks out. We got a call from Adam (I think) he told us he had an opening because of a cancellation. Our sytem was installed within a week of us signing the documents. The installers, Austin and Charlie, were clean, courteous, professional, and even let my dogs assist and supervise with the install. Lol I am happy happy happy with the service and the the company. Oh and no other company has contacted us to this day.

Our AC unit stopped working. They were able to come out the next day. Andre worked hard, carefully, and courteously while informing me what he was looking at for each problem. He identified several problems, and gave honest recommendations about the situation. He tried his best to remedy the situation, but to no avail. He kept his office up-to-date, and got a rep out to talk to me within the same hour to go over options and pricing. The prices are what they are, but seem fair, and overall experience with Mark Crooks and Andre Bishop have been outstanding. Install will be in the next few days and will see how that goes. In the meantime, they have set me up with a portable AC Unit, to at least keep us cool at night. They have another one they are willing to provide if needed. So far, I would totally recommend Amazing Heating and Air for your needs.

Dustin at Amazing Heating & Air Conditioning was super helpful in diagnosing the reason our heating suddenly failed; fixing it; giving us options to avoid that happening in the future; and removing our old, broken HVAC humidifier and installing a new one. He was prompt, to the point, knowledgeable, quick at his work, and just a nice, considerate guy. Of course our heating failed the one of like three nights this spring it got down to 30º and we had to keep our baby warm. Always happens like that. We also purchased Amazing's subscription for frequent, routine tune ups.

We had a unique installation of 3 units for our historic home and carriage house. The equipment is not the usual set up. Sales leader Mark Cooke and installation manager Mike came out to look the project over and walk through any trouble spots. Their two man crew John and Devin had to come out a couple of times because of the size of the project but they finished with everything nice and tight and looking better then they found it. This was the second time we've had Amazing update a system. We have had a total of 4 complete systems installed in 2 homes and we will call them again when we update our store systems. Great guys, great service. The name says it all.

Yes, Tony provided maintenance on my heating system, the first since I switched from oil to gas. He thoroughly tested for carbon monoxide which prompted this service. I misunderstood that it wouldn’t also include tweaking my AC, light cleaning and testing. Looking back on confirming this service beforehand, it would have been helpful to have seen that it was the furnace only in the title. Tony was a good communicator and was knowledgeable.

So glad we found this company! Took quotes for a ductless system for our upstairs from 4 different companies and Amazing gave us the best value for our money (Hi Greg!). The system was installed tidily in one day earlier this year and looks as good on the outside of the house as it feels on the inside of the house (Thanks guys!). During winter maintenance today it was found that our boiler wasn't working. Ryan and Mike spent the whole morning with me, chasing down and fixing the problem.(Yay!!!) Chris taught us how to light the pilot and a few other things about our system (Yay again!!!). Everyone I have dealt with at Amazing has been knowledgeable, patient, and professional. They even moved our HVAC unit to a more accessible location in the backyard and sent out a separate crew on a second visit to install a protective cage around the unit. I gave them 3-stars due to cost alone. They are on the high side of HVAC services. The technician that came over was knowledgeable in his field. He did identify an issue with our current heating system and thermostat. He was able to explain the issue we were experiencing and provide us a solution. The only thing that I did not like about this company is the high dispatch cost and the total price for their service. The dispatch cost was $100 from the beginning and the total cost for their service almost cost me $500. If I had called around to a few more places, I probably could have gotten the same result at a cheaper price.

Our outdoor condenser/compressor fan failed during the recent July heat wave. Amazing was able to have a technician on-site the next day, and he even showed up early (which was certainly welcome). He initially identified that the entire unit needed to be replaced, but upon closer inspection, he determined the problem was limited to a capacitor and a switch. I found Amazing Heating and HVAC in Best Picks Report. I sent an email request via their website on a Sunday for an estimate to replace my 28 year old heat pump system. I received a call within 10 min, on a Sunday, from a representative to set-up my estimate. Greg came the next morning and did a thorough analysis of my current system and configuration- he worked up multiple options for me to consider and said when I was ready to give him a call. Being in a similar industry, I was thoroughly impressed with Greg’s knowledge, professionalism, and guidance. I called Greg later that day to agree to one of the options- my new system was installed a week later! Before install, I had several questions which Greg was quick to respond to. I was also in the market for a heat pump hot water heater- I called Greg and asked if they did that, and luckily he said yes. I asked for a specific brand/model- Greg had me an estimate the next morning, with other recommendations to consider. I agreed to have them install my water heater as well. On install day, the crew worked a full 10 hour day to get BOTH my HVAC and hot water heater installed! The crew are direct employees for Amazing and were super professional, clean, and took great care in ensuring nothing in my home was nicked or damaged by removing and installing such large, heavy equipment. They laid drop clothes on the floor and vacuumed up before they left. This was a PHENOMENAL experience overall and I would strongly suggest having Amazing Heating and HVAC out to estimate for your HVAC and water heater replacements, repairs, and maintenance services. This is a top notch organization.

Had the company come out about a month ago and the technician was nice and seemed informative. He sold me a maintenance package and told me what it included. Today another technician showed up and explained the previous tech was wrong - the package did not include everything I was told originally. He was apologetic and said the original tech was let go. Today the technician went above just the cleaning/maintenance I paid for - cleaned the outside unit, inspected the inside coil, adjusted the fan speed (last guy said there was nothing he could do), checked all wiring and temperatures, checked all the pressures, and informed me of two parts I need. He also gave me an estimate and said the parts just need to be installed before winter. Overall happy with my experience, but I wish the technician today came originally. Amazing Heating and Air is truly amazing. The condenser unit was stolen off my roof, so I couldn’t cool my house in the middle of the hot summer. My house was over 90 degrees for a couple of weeks. This was a very uncomfortable time for my family and I. It was very hard to get a good night sleep. I called Amazing Heating and Air and they sent someone to my home quick, fast, and in a hurry. The person they sent was Greg. He was very thorough and I immediately trusted him because he seemed to really know his stuff. He was also a pretty funny guy. Greg measured my whole house to make sure the new system was sized correctly and even double checked everything. Unfortunately, because the condenser unit was stolen and my system was pretty old, I had to replace my air handler also. I decided to go with Amazing Heating and Air for all of the aforementioned reasons and I’m extremely glad I did. They installed a Lennox system and it’s incredible. It cools and heats perfectly and saves me a few bucks. The install job was also perfect. The techs were swift and arrived at my house super early. I was still asleep when they knocked on my door lol. Nothing in the surrounding areas was damaged during the removal of the old system and the installation of the new one. The install was super clean; and although I’m not an HVAC guy, I was inspired by the guys’ work. They were masters. You also couldn’t tell anyone was there after they left. As a comfort care member I had a scheduled maintenance appt less than 2 months before my heat stopped working. I was told the broken part was fine when tested though some research suggests there shouldn’t been signs it was going bad. But this is not my specialty so maybe it really was fine. Unfortunately, I was told the parts and labor would cost about $500 but I was given “discounts” that brought the price to $300 plus the diagnostic fee of $80. After the work was done I found out the high end for this work was $300 so not sure where the $200 discounts came from. And I also found a reputable company who was able to tell me they charge $175 for this work and would’ve waived the diagnostic fee if I had chosen to do the work. This may be the low end for this job and I understand ranges but my gripe is that I was told I was getting this special rate as a comfort care member and because I had a recent maintenance. In reality I was being high balled from the start. I just don’t like this type of business practice and do not plan to continue with this company. They do good work but I have always felt like I was paying too much and now I know I was.

Overall we liked Amazing and would continue to use them. We purchased a new Trane heating and ac system. The install by the (3) technicians went well on 4/5/16. On 4/8/16, saw that there was leaking occurring from the humidifier. Called for service and Chris arrived within an hour to fix it. We also ask questions about the thermostat and he suggested we consider 2 zone heating, something no one had ever suggested. He was quit knowledgeable. That install along with the changing the dampers was done 4/15/16 by Jeremy, who did the thermostat set up. He ran into issues but was persistent. Unfortunately, the zone setup did not seem to work. After our trying to figure out what was going on, we thought the thermostats were connected to the wrong zones. We then called for a service technician and Tom came out. He ultimately confirmed what we thought and fixed it. He was very diligent in running tests ton ensure working properly. Also, took time to answer our questions about the operation of the thermostats. wold continue although we had a few bumps along the way. The process for the estimate for new HVAC system with new thermostat was very professional and Mark was knowledgeable. The install went well. We did encounter a problem 3 days after with leaking from the humidifier because the piping had separated at drain. Within an hour of calling, Chris arrived to fix it. While he was here, suggested we switch to a 2 zone system, which also changing the dampers. We agreed to this. Within a few days, Dave came out to a assess what parts would be needed, so everything would be brought at time of installation. The install technicians, Chris and Jeremy, worked well together. The actual setup of the thermostats took longer than technician expected, but he did take time to explain the basics of using it. We learned how to use it, but after trying several settings, we finally realized the zones were probably switched and the reason why the temperatures schedules we set up were not working. Requested technician services and Tom came out. He confirmed the zones were switched. Did thorough testing and has worked correctly ever since. Also, he took the time to answer our questions.

Tom the technician came over for a seasonal inspection. He thoroughly tested the inside and outside unit. He found a weak capacitor in the outside unit and told me what would happen if the part failed in the future. I opted to replace the part and the problem was solved. He installed a new capacitor and retested the unit and lastly cleaned the outside unit with a water based solution. I have had 3 tech so far since i have signed on with the comfort club seasonal inspection program and all my experiences have been positive.
