The news reported this Christmas weekend would be one of the coldest weekends with lows in the teens. As fate would have it, the heating system began to fail. It would shut down and after resetting, it would come on for awhile but then shut down again. It was after hours on December 23, and I was concerned that E Smith HVAC would not be available. I left a message on the voicemail and received a call back immediately. In addition, a technician also called me. The technician's name was Earl. Earl was very pleasant and had the BEST attitude! He advised me that he would be on the property at 8 a.m. Christmas Eve. He arrived promptly and replaced the faulty capacitor on the heating system. PLEASE keep this gentleman employed with your company! I haven't seen customer service like this in years! The art of great customer service has become extinct in many businesses. However. Earl has restored my faith that GREAT customer service still exist. Tremendous thanks E Smith HVAC and Earl for saving Christmas and delivering the absolute BEST service! I highly recommend E Smith HVAC for your heating and air condition needs!

November 2022 Earl detected a condensation issue during our semi-annual inspection. He submitted a detailed proposal which we agreed to. Work was completed professionally and original ductwork from 20+ years ago was replaced and a damper added. Earl explained the process and all the work was completed in 90 minutes. We are very happy with the work today and with E. Smith H& A. We highly recommend them to our neighbors. November 2021 Zach was very knowledgeable and recommended several options. We discussed each one and picked the right one for our home and budget. There was no pressure. Installation was set up quickly. Jason arrived early on install day and worked throughout the day. I really did not know he was there. He took the time to explain the system and ask questions. Totally a professional job from start to finish. Highly recommend E. Smith Heating and Air.

Robert and Dillon tried and found economical repairs.l had used another heating and a/c company in the area and their technician tried to get me to see a new sales representative after only looking at the date of manufacture only(that was 3 years ago).Ultimately I did purchase a new unit from E.Smith recently.I can understand why some of these other companies are filling the airways with advertising. Apparently they are not meeting service expectations thus constantly

Willing to do a more labor intensive repair where others had only been only willing to replace. I’ll be using them in the future. I have used E. Smith for the last 10 years and purchased my lower level AC/furnace from them 9 years ago. I am very pleased with my unit and the annual maintenance service. Jeff came and did our annual service and recommended we replace our upstairs 24 years old AC/furnace. Jeff is very professional and always does a thorough job. Cara came and gave me a quote and explained the different options. She always responded to my questions right away and scheduled my install within one week of signing the contract. Henry and another technician installed my AC/Furnace. They were very consciences with keeping the door closed since I have cats and were very helpful in explaining how to use the system. They also done a great job cleaning up after they were done.

E Smith has always been great to respond and the tech they sent out today went above and beyond. He took a great pride in his work….something you don’t always see today. It wasn’t JUST a job to him, he truly wanted to help and didn’t leave til everything was fixed and perfect. I wish every tech out there was as caring about his job as he was. Their service AFTER the sale has been spot on! I’ve used E Smith for years for servicing my system. A MONTH ago I purchased a new system from them and this was their month follow up to tweak any bugs. He found two problems and fixed them with a smile on his face. I do not get that kind of service in diff places I have to use. This tech wanted me to be satisfied before he left and made sure I was. A very pleasant experience!!!!

Told me the ambient temperature was a little too low to get a good reading on the coolant levels and recommended we ask for a follow up visit in a few weeks. We will do that. Let me start off saying Zach is great. He didn’t pressure me with some high sales pitch or dog and pony show. He presented me with several options and explained each on thoroughly and answered every one of my 100 questions. Even after he left my house we were in contact via text message. My installers, Allen, Buddy and Chris were great. These guys knew what they were doing. I’m no HVAC expert but I’ve been a home owner long enough to know when people know their jobs and these guys did. These guys fixed things the builder messed up. The thing about it I didn’t even know. They told me and didn’t even charge me. E. Smith is the epitome of customer service. I sent an email one Sunday night regarding something I noticed and Monday morning someone was calling me to schedule a time. We have had a maintenance contract with E Smith for over 15 years. The technician just added Freon, cleaned the coil and extended the live of our 19 year old Carrier System for years to come. It is always reassuring to have Reginald the technician perform our maintenance and repair as he knows our house, units and systems. We will need to replace this 19 year old HVAC system in the future but Reginald has bought us some time.

Called E. Smith Heating and Air out to diagnose why our upstairs AC unit kept shutting off and why the furnace pan kept filling up. Nathan was fantastic and was able to confirm the AC unit is functioning fine, it's a drainage issue. Very knowledgeable, knew exactly what he was doing and what to look for the entire time he was here. Highly recommend, and would use again in a heartbeat! Second time we needed AC help and our tech Tommy was excellent!! Super polite, knowledgeable, took the time to make sure everything was working properly and replaced some old o-rings while he was in the units anyways. Solid 5 stars, consistent excellent service! We're very happy with the new HVAC system (Carrier Infinity), the value, and the level of service from E. Smith. The initial installation wasn't perfect (it was a more complex job than the installers expected, and they probably should have allowed for more time), but the Installation Manager (Robert B.) listened to my concerns and personally came out to inspect the installation - and then he brought a crew out to fix everything that wasn't perfect the first time. It works great now and I have no concerns about the installation.

We used E Smith for a service call on our furnace today. The technician, Craig, was fantastic. He identified the problem and resolved it for us, although we will need a new furnace in the next year or so. Craig was so professional and helpful that I asked to be put in touch with the sales department. They promptly called minutes later to schedule a salesperson to come give a quote on a new system (thousands of dollars). I asked if they could give me a time on a weekend or in the evening when someone could come by. They very courteously informed me they only do sales calls between 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. As great as E Smith was, I will not spend thousands of dollars with a company that cannot accommodate my very conventional work hours to pay them for a service. I am giving three stars for Craig, and no additional stars for their lack of full-circle customer focus. Unfortunately I will have to look elsewhere for a company to install my new HVAC system.

I have complete confidence in E. Smith.They installed 2 Carrier systems in our house about 16 years ago, and we've had a maintenance contract since then. In 2020 I asked for their recommendation re: air purification (Covid) and had them install 2 Reme Halo systems. Results were immediately noticeable (air was crisper, odors quickly dissipated and particulate count was significantly reduced even though we have 3” 1 micron filters. And E Smith charged much less then the quotes received by many of our neighbors for the same system. Even when I asked he would not try to sell us something we didn't need. The one who came close and we also liked didn't have 0% financing and the equipment was a sub brand of Carrier. I've read all the reviews about E. Smith Air and all were very positive and I believe them after dealing with Derrick. The new system will be installed next week and I plan to post more feedback when complete. I feel confident we made the right decision working with this company. Update: OK they installed the new system and I have to say I was very impressed with their installation guys. They did a great job and delivered on everything that was promised. Our HVAC systems have always struggled to keep the house at a 77 degrees running all day long even if the temp was only in the 80's. They put in the new system and changed out all the ducting making direct feeds from the plenum to all the main downstairs supply vents. They also added an additional supply to the 2 story foyer. The end result is all the vents now have a balanced airflow and the house stays at whatever temperature I desire. They also added a return to the upstairs unit for the bedroom over the garage which it didn't have before. The older upstairs system now runs about half as much and the new downstairs unit run about 80% less than the unit which it replaced. I love the end result and I would highly recommend this company!

My 14 year old AC unit went out in August 2014. I called RELIABLE because of Angie's List. Their tech Charged me $274. He was dis-gruntled and apathetic. He told me it could last 6 months. It lasted 1 month. They sent another tech. This guy actually did a leak test. We could see two areas on the condenser that were leaking. He said he would send a quote-I still haven't seen a quote. My $274 leaked right out of the condenser and right through the Ozone hole. RELIABLE needs to close up. They are sustaining only on their Laurels. Another outfit said they could do the job for $300 less than E Smith with Trane components. They sent the quote way too late. My house was hot hot hot.. E smith came in and did a great job. They seem to have integrity and attention to customer satisfaction. The only negative? The service guy put a condensate overflow switch above a fork in the drainpipe. If there is an overflow event, the cutoff will never see it. Though I mentioned it during the follow up, I didnt press the issue- they get 5 stars.
