I called Sterling Services for a clogged drain. Within a few hours they were at my door to fix the problem. Danny Try was absolutely amazing. He called to let me know he was on his way and arrived in a timely manner. This was not an easy job and despite some trouble, he remained professional and diligent in solving the problem. He not only unclogged the drain but offered some helpful tips to avoid future problems. On top of the great service he was a super nice guy. I highly recommend Danny and the excellent service he provided and will be calling Sterling for any future plumbing needs.

I have been using Sterling services for over 6 years in two different residences. Most recently I used them to install 3 toilets as part of our home improvement. Ray had them installed very quickly and with quality workmanship. He has done previous work on my home and is always a pleasure to work with and brings years of experience. I use Sterling for my A/C HVAC maintenance as well and have nothing but good experience with those service techs as well. I highly recommend Sterling services.

I had never used Sterling Services before today and really enjoyed my experience. The phone rep, DeeDee, was very friendly in taking my info and letting me know what to expect for the technician contacting me. The technician, Ivan, have me a call when he was on his way with an ETA, which I really appreciate. On his arrival I asked him the issues and he went to work fixing them. After completion he communicated what he did, in a very detailed and knowledgeable way, making recommendations for future repairs but not pushing anything. I will definitely be using them again.

We just purchased out house and wanted to have the HVAC checked out and to start a maintenance program. Sterling Services arrived on time and checked our system out. They found an issue but there was no pressure and they recommendation was based on what was realistic, not what got them a repair. We signed up for the maintenance plan and we’re comfortable that we are in good hands.

The communication and the customer service were outstanding, from scheduling the appointment to having the technician come out and provide the outstanding service that Sterling Services advertises. Mike Newpower was on-time (actually way ahead of schedule) and he did an extremely thorough job all while explaining much needed and important information. Do not second guess hiring Sterling Services and if you have Mike you’ll be well taken care of!

Mike is very professional and courteous. He is very patient and explains everything to me in a way that I understand. Sterling Services never pushes a customer to purchase or have a lot of things done immediately. The reps will explain why something is important to replace now or in the future but never do I feel pressured. He called to inform when he was on his way, was professional, friendly, and he also ensured the repairs were done. The technician (Ray) called up front to advise when I could expect him. He arrived on time. He promptly identified the issue and replaced the disposal. He was in / out fairly quickly. He did a magnificent job replacing the disposal and he even cleaned up when he was done. He was friendly, courteous and very professional. I highly recommend Sterling Services. Ray was excellent!

I called Sterling Services today to see about a complicated repair that I kept getting the runaround from or no call back from other HVAC companies. We had a condensation line in our attic that had a leak and had water damage to several areas. We had to find someone to repair the leak first so that work on water damage could begin. It was really stressful and I was worried that I would not find a knowledgeable and reliable company willing to take this on. However after calling today, they assured me that Sterling services could not only handle this problem with confidence but also send someone out today! Mike Newpower arrived not too long after and quickly went to work. He did not stop until he figured out where the leak was and took pictures and thoroughly explained the problem. He was able to repair it in no time, cutting out drywall which other companies were too afraid to do. He was so kind, he even cleaned up the mess afterward. Mike was very hardworking, professional honest and efficient! All together very awesome! We highly recommend him and Sterling Services and will definitely use them again in the future. Can’t say enough about this company! Our water heater went out and the company our warranty sent us to couldn’t come out for days. Sterling sent a guy out within two hours, diagnosed the problem and replaced our water heater the very next morning. Stratton was super knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful explaining everything very thoroughly. The replacement/new install was efficient and fast but well done. Stratton was the service engineer who was friendly and professional. He had the problem fixed within the next 45 minutes. Excellent work! We had a main line leak right before Christmas weekend that was under the driveway. Water was flooding everywhere and we had to turn off the water periodically throughout the day and overnight. Sterling was able to come out the same day we called, take a look and provide a quote, and schedule us for right after the holiday. This was my first time using Sterling Services and I must say, great company! I got their information from Carrier’s website, which listed them as a certified Carrier dealer. They were able to fit me into the schedule the same day and the repair person was on time! Jesse Mullen was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and explained so many things about air-conditioning that I never even realized. He went above and beyond and even had to go out to get parts but came back very quickly and finished the job. He gave me tips to improve our AC service throughout the summer as well. He was also very clean and neat and wore a face covering and shoe coverings and gloves - he was very mindful of all the people in the house. Our dog followed him around too and he did not mind! Our Unit was not running and we panicked and called a company in Phoenix. We were told by that company that we needed a new blower motor on our 2.5 year old AC Unit. I believe that company tried to scam us out of $1000 by trying to sell us a part that was under warranty and was not broken. Something did not feel right because the repair agent did not check much. He was there 15 minutes and right away said it was broken. Then we found Sterling devices for a second opinion. Richard did a very detailed check. He was so transparent and honest with his inspection. He found that nothing was wrong with our unit and it was simply over worked. He even taught me some useful information about my unit, and gave me a beautiful detailed report of everything he checked. We are so thankful to Sterling Services for having people with integrity working for them. Our AC unit was working fine and Richard gave us great tips to keep it running that way. We’re working from home and I called Sterling and they sent Mike out within four hours and he was able to replace a capacitor quickly and efficiently. He got our AC back up and running in no time and he explained the maintenance program to us and also explained our airflow throughout our home. We paid a fair price for the repair $320. Stratton was our tech. He came out on a holiday weekend to give us hot water. He tried the small repairs to no avail. He ended up returning with a new water heater the next day, a Sunday. I called around 7:45pm and it went to voicemail. Within 5 minutes I received a return call from Dede. She said her on call person was at another job but if I liked she would have him call me as soon as he is done and come over to repair the leaking valve on my washing machine hot water line. I agreed. About 9:45 I received the call from Keith. He was in the area and arrived about 5 minutes later. He replaced both the hot and cold valves at my request and was done in about 20 minutes. Michael has done all the plumbing work for me during four different visits over the past couple of years. He is amazingly efficient and knowledgeable as well as trustworthy and helpful. I know him better than any of the other servicemen who did the HVAC and duct cleaning work, so I feel comfortable recommending him without reservation. I'm certain there are other "sterling" servicemen and the other gentlemen most likely are. The one person who did miss a couple of obvious things on his inspection, that even I could see needed attention, doesn't work there any longer. But the company and he parted ways without me bringing this to their attention. I feel they have high standards for their employees.

I found the service and response of this company to be absolutely outstanding! I called for A/C help at 8 p.m. my phone call was taken by an individual - not a machine -and the representative attempted to get me service that same evening. He called me back in 10 minutes and informed me that he was not able to provide service that evening but that I would be taken care of first thing the following morning. My a/c stopped working this past Sunday at about 6 p.m. I called Parker and Sons and George Brazil and neither of them could send a technician out to my house until Monday afternoon. My daughter sent me the number for Sterling Services which she had used in the past for a/c service. I called them and they had a service technician out to my house in a half an hour, I ended up having the coil replaced byJesse, who was very knowledgeable and professional. The service was top notch and I was so impressed with them that I opted to purchae an annual maintenance agreement. A couple of days later, we were also very happy with the work done by Daylon who flushed our water heater and checked the water system at our house. Sterling and their Tech Jesse went above and beyond to diagnose and repair our office AC unit. Our AC sound like an Airplane was taking off and smelled horrible. We called Sterlings office and they dispatched Jesse to our office in a very timely manner. We even received a text and phone call letting us know that he was on his way. When Jesse arrived I had very little detail besides a description of the sound it was making. Jesse got straight to work diagnosing the issue. He was then able to provide a quote, order parts and schedule the repair. He was very professional and showed a true sense of urgency to get it completed. His compassion for our office was very nice. Sterling is the only AC company I trust! This is the second time I have used Sterling. First for a condensation pump installation in 2019 that fixed years of leaking issues and still works great. This time my unit had stopped cooling. A quarter to 9pm I called and DeeDee answered promptly and advised a tech was at another job but would get to me ASAP. Within the hour Todd had called and arrived to my place. By 11pm he had diagnosed the issue, checked my unit, handler, and pump to ensure all pieces were functioning properly, and fixed the broken piece. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. My house went from 82 down to 80 by the time he left and feels so much better! After years of fighting with home warranty agencies to fix my previous leak issues I went private and was so thankful to Sterling for fixing that problem, and once again I am amazed at the level of service and genuine staff who want to help you.

The tech was a little late but the office let me know and assured me of when I would expect the tech which, considering this weather is understandable. I was given a window of time when they would arrive and I received both a text message and a phone call letting me know they were on the way. Tech was professional and friendly and explained everything to me. On June 3 Michael Read was the technician that came to my home to install a new hot water heater. I woke up during the night to one of our vents making a very loud noise. I called first thing in the morning and Sterling Services had a service tech, Jourdan Erickson, out in the afternoon which was what time worked best for me. As is typical for me, the noise didn't happen with the service tech, Jourdan, on site. He listened to the recording of the noise and tried to get the system to make it again and then he went on to do an inspection to see if he could find any problems. Sterling Services was a great company to work with today. We came into work to find that our hot water heater had died and was leaking. We called Sterling Services this morning and they said that they would have someone out to help us in the late afternoon. Promptly began the installation and testing, replacing the intake vent and cleaning up in less than 4 hours time total. They were courteous and also considerate of my concerns for maintaining appropriate social distancing. I needed my air ducts cleaned and some replaced because Offerpad apparently got alot of paint in the ducts while repainting. Isaac and Mike came out and just did a remarkable job of taking care of the problem. They cleaned the ducts, replaced the fan and replaced over 50 feet of duct work. Stratton came and replaced my guts on a toilet that is an old pull chain style and has sentimental value. I called around. I had the parts, just needed someone to come and install the new 'guts'. Another company wanted to send two technicians and charge me $290.00! Stratton with Sterling Air came out, had his own new parts to install and only charged me about half of the other company's quote. Sterling/Stratton have superb customer service, great quality, professional, on time and will recommend them to EVERYONE! 5 stars +!

Joel and his team installed two heat pumps in our house. The install was on budget, finished early, and was very, very clean. The Carrier system installed is working very well and saving lots of money. OMG. I wish more service vendors were as good as Sterling Services. AC went out in July while we were out of town and my oldest daughter was house sitting. Called soooo many places that were either gouging on prices or could not get the higher quality unit we wanted for weeks out. I don't know why I didn't think of Sterling first. We have used them in the past and were quite happy with the work both A/C and plumbing. I will not be making that mistake again. Their number is now permanent on my fridge. What made them such a good call? First: We were out of town and I called LATE Friday. They answered right away and I explained the situation. Joe Vivonia was able to get out quickly and confirm the assessment we got from two previous companies that they unit could be repaired but is 17 years old and really should be replaced (full disclosure: we were really bad at having them maintained, Im amazed it lasted that long) Second: Joe got back to me with options with the hour. He did not try the hard press. Just presented replacement (as well as repair) options and told me to take our time, but could be out within days if we could let him know by the next day. He followed up with me multiple times on Saturday to answer all my wifes questions. Really really pleasant to work with. Third: They were able to install on the following Tuesday. This may seem long (3 days) to be without A/C but in 2021 supply chains, especially for the efficient higher end units is bad. Another local company said 12 weeks for the unit we wanted! Fourth: The install. Mark came out early to survey the site to make sure everything was ready to go for his guys and the crane. Explained in detail what the process was and how they were going to do it. And that means Chad Sanderfur. He was our installer. He was A-maz-ing. So polite. Everything working the first time with our existing thermostat. Made last minute alterations we requested to ensure we were 100% happy. Afterward he didn't just disappear. He took the time to take me up (5 ton roof unit) to show me the new system, the work they did to ensure I was happy with the finishing they did (we have a flat foam roof and things can go badly if not re-sealed properly) and explain a bit about the unit and future service mile markers. By the time he cleaned up our house was already cold again. Everyone's mileage may vary, but I cannot recommend these guys enough. They are not as well know as the various ones that spam the radio all the time (you know them all) but these guys are local and obviously dedicated to maintaining a reputation they should be proud of. The costs were half of competitors that came the day before to quote pricing and I couldn't be more pleased that I waited on my decision until Sterling Services. Luckily, the leak wasn't bad enough to warrant immediate attention, but saving money for the same amount of work with expertise and professionalism was worth the 1 day wait. The Gas company came out to start a new service for me recently. When the technician turned on the gas he was unable to connect the back yard as there was a gas feature with no visible on/off control. I was told to hire a contractor to find it and then they would be back to reconnect the gas. Jeff Holmes from Sterling came out. They have a very efficient system of scheduling and letting you know when they would be showing up! Jeff did a great job of searching and finding the shut-off He was here on time and very efficient. The same day I called the gas company to reconnect I was told “We don’t do that” and “You were told to have a licensed Contractor turn it back on” . Sterling Services was as confused as I was but sent Jeff back out a few days later. Jeff took one look and knew that the gas company should be doing the reconnect. He could do it but it would cost me hundreds. After more than an hour on the phone with the gas company they agreed to come out. Jeff and Sterling Services were great. They were patient and knowledgeable and I know I will be calling and recommending them in the future!

I can not say enough about the service we received from the Sterling team. Last Sunday, yes on the weekend, I noticed our hot water heater was leaking and called. Within 5 minutes I had received a call from a technician who was on his way - he even stated that he was going to stop by the shop to pick up a few things in case he needed them based on my feedback on the situation. About 20 minutes later I noticed that an electrical strip was smoking, because it was soaked, and called the technical back in a bit of a panic and fearful about an electrical fire. He calmly walked me through how to shut off the water and electricity to the home and my guess is he started going a bit faster towards our home! Upon arrival his first concern was for our safety and then he got to work on fixing our issue. Ray Padilla inspected my home's plumbing system prior to today's visit and identified several serious deficiencies. I found Ray's professional judgement and skills to be exemplary. Ray has been honest and quite personable. He completed fixing one problem on his earlier visit and today did a bigger and more complex repair job. He notified me prior to his arrival and began his work on time. Laboring in the hot sun, he replaced defective piping and water valves outside my home. He improved the plumbing configuration with a simpler design and replaced above ground plastic pipes with more durable copper ones. I'm so impressed with his competency. And you couldn't meet a nicer fellow than Ray. Thanks for a job well done!

Quick response, excellent work is what all customers want and Sterling Services delivered that for me recently. I was moving out of a property on a weekend and the valve for the hot water line to the washing machine wasn't closing properly. The technician was polite and friendly. After getting in the attic he about fell through the roof knocking out a big chunk of drywall and insulation went everywhere. To be fair I already had drywall knocked out in that same area from roof leak. He had a hard time tuning one of the units and kept calling supervisor for assistance. Supervisor eventually showed up. While in the attic I heard one of the units making a loud noise outside. I told him about it and he came back a few minutes later saying my capacitor went out. Both units working fine when he came to service them. Coincidence? $375 to replace capacitor. They then left with no offer of discount for the damage and didn’t even clean it up. Update: after leaving this review the supervisor called me back and was very polite and wanted to resolve the issue. He made up for the bad experience. I changed my review because of the customer service after the fact.

Job was completed but giving 2 stars for unethical pricing. Any attempt to justify their action by saying I was forewarned of their "policy" ahead of time is untrue and actually irrelevant because I did, unknowingly, comply. Backstory: I called Sterling Services out for estimate to replace a leaking air handler drain pan for $59, which I was told would be applied to the bill if they got the job. Tech said replacement pan would take awhile to get so I told him I would order, pick up myself, and call him back to do the job, which I did as soon as the part came in. Upon completion of the work, the final bill did not reflect $59 adjustment for the estimate. After conversations with the office I was told that per their policy I needed to "approve" the work the same day as the estimate in order to receive the $59 adjustment. This was new information to me, but no problem because I did in fact tell the tech on the day of the estimate that I would be using them to do work when part came in, and I went so far as to discuss his schedule so we could coordinate his next visit. The office does not agree that I met policy because I did not schedule the next appointment through the scheduler. Fine. I told them if $59 is more important to them than a happy customer and good review, then keep it. Bottom line, they are using a technicality to cheat a customer out of $59. As noted owner became aware of problem and addressed problem to my satisfaction, changed to 5 stars

Rik with Sterling is great. Came at 11pm Sunday night. Did repair and a full check up on my aging Carrier. Gave it a clean bill of health instead of trying to sell me a new unit. Also gave me an unsolicited, substantial discount on the invoice. If every technician at Sterling is like Rik, then I would recommend them to anyone.

Great customer service. Gabe came out yesterday because I thought our water heater was done for, there was a lot of water leaking out and filling the tub at the bottom. He inspected the water heater and found it was due to corrosion in one of the pipes that fed the water heater and not the water heater itself. So relieved and he fixed it right up for us and saved us from having to fork over money for a new water heater. We have their service agreement and I feel like it’s already paid for itself. Very worth it. I love the fact that they do inspections on A/c and furnace, which are all included in the service agreement cost.

Overall good experience. This was the 1st time I've used them. My only complaint is that when I scheduled the appointment, I was clearly told in writing that there was a $79 charge (waived if I had any work done), which I was fine with. At the end of appointment, I found out that they only checked one of my units, and it would be an additional $79 to check the other one. Other than that, I'm happy with the service and will use again.

What impresses me the most about Sterling they hand write their findings on my a.c. unit and they explain their findings, costs for parts etc.I have arching points (contactor) in my heat pump, he let me know what to watch for... At some given time they will weld themselves together, but this point they are working well...my service six months ago metioned the same problem... Thanks Sterling

We decided to have them come out Sunday morning. Bright and early and way on time technician Kent Osborn arrived, intruduced himself and listened as we told him the problem. Within an hour he had run tests, checked some readings, de-iced a coil all at no charge, then found a electrical coil pack was failing. Your technician Daylon was very professional. Really appreciated his face mask and gloves during the current pandemic. We bought a new gas range, but could not get the flex line unscrewed, either from the kitchen input pipe, or from the old range. The threads of both ends were originally put on with some kind of paste sealant which had dried out literally "cementing" the flex pipe in place. After cutting the old line off he was able to disconnect everything and properly re-install it. But he didn't stop there. He waited for my wife to clean the floor, and then got the new range back in place, and after that moved the old one from the kitchen out to the carport to await pickup by a charity. Here in AZ HVAC systems can really take a beating. I've been looking for a quality service partner to regularly service my system, add an air scrubber to my system, and keep me informed of the wear and tear so the system can be replaced when it's time is up. When the temps hit 118 deg, I dont want surprises. Johnny exceeded my expectations. He gave the system a thorough inspection, identified some areas of deterioration that will need attention in the future, made a few adjustments, and evaluated the system for an air scrubber. yes, heating maintenance. An old system from '96, during inspection before moving we found that the heater wasn't blowing. Turns out it was the 600 dollar circuit board, of course (and as a last resort, as he tested out all of the other switches). Courteous, kind, thoughtful. Yeah, I was the only HEATING job on such a day as near-record heat in AZ. But somehow, he barely broke a sweat (Mike).

MY DOG ATE MY A/C WIRES!!! Our 6-month-old German Shepherd Puppy Baron decided to use our A/C unit wires as a chew toy!
