Reached out for an estimate on a new garage unit heater install and they came out the following week for a site visit and I received the estimate later that morning. I work in commercial construction and recognized it was a fair price, plus they had the specific unit heater in stock that I wanted and could do the install within the next couple of weeks, so I canceled a couple of other estimates I had scheduled (I did receive one other beforehand which was more than 2X their price, from Prospector, which I recognized right away as ridiculously overpriced). The crew was very courteous and also was accomodating of my feedback (i.e. the heater was initially sticking out too far, I asked if I could drop a light fixture out of the way so it could go back further, which they had no problem with). The guys cleaned up behind themselves and seemed to take pride in their work. I will reach out to Heat Source in the future for additional work and would recommend others consider them.

Good company to work with. Install is nice. Floor of garage didn’t get quite as cleaned up as I would have liked when done. Few spare parts and some water bottles left for me to pick up but not huge deal. The introductory instruction was very limited and the tech was not able to answer my questions completely. First day of frost and we wake up to a furnace that isn’t heating! The technician was able to come the same day we called. It was 0 below Friday morning woke up without hot water, I tried to call most of heating services in the Valley to help me, most of them are booked. They came out, serviced it my forced air system with 24 hours notice, they had all the parts they needed to fix and replace my condensation pump, in and out in under 2 hours. They weren't the cheapest option, but they were comparable and they were certainly the easiest I've used. Although the water heater met it’s life expectancy their technician did a thorough check out and explained the process and final determination of the unit. We have been using Heatsource Mechanical for about 10 years and also have a yearly maintenance agreement with them. Excellent service. Prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. I submitted a home warranty claim over a month ago and the initial tech dispatched was unable to resolve my issues. The recommendation was to “replace the unit because replacing these small parts repeatedly will cost just as much, or more, in the long run”. I called HeatSource for a “second opinion” before paying $2,000 out of pocket for charges not covered under warranty. The technician, Denis, was able to quickly identify and resolve the issue preventing me from having hot water and heat for over a month. 5 star service, and I’ll recommend to everyone I know.

He was done in about an hour and a half and it cost $348 for the PM. I would definitely recommend HeatSource and Jesse! Very responsive! I filled out the Home Advisor online questionnaire to have a water heater looked at. In less than 30 minutes I received a phone call from Heat Source Mechanical. She told me she could have Sean at my house in 90 minutes. She called me back when he would be arriving in 15 minutes. Saturday afternoon my water heater started leaking, using HomeAdvisor I was contacted by Heatsource within 5 minutes, I contacted their local plumber, Gene, who was at my house 10 minutes later. Based on my experience, HeatSource is the kind of company that strives to do things right even if they fail. So many times, when a "product" fails, it is easy to simply return it as being defective etc., but what about "service"... how is that measured and how do you make a claim against "service"? Well, HeatSource has accomplished just that... recently, I experienced what I would call poor service and they went out of their way to "make it right". There are very few companies out there who stand by their commitment to excellence and this is one of them. It is refreshing to work with a company that operates on sound morals and integrity :)

This is the first time we have needed Heatsource and we can’t say enough about how pleased we are with their service. We called them as soon as they opened on a Friday morning due to our furnace not working. Gene our technician was at our home within a half hour of the phone call and had diagnosed the issue within 10 mins. He explained the problem with our furnace and what needed to be replaced. Heatsource had the part couriered from Anchorage to valley within a couple hours. The heat is back on and running great! Gene was great! We had a great experience with Heatsource! Our boiler went out Sunday afternoon and we called Heatsource. The dispatcher took our information and within 10 minutes Dan, the on-call technician, called us back. He explained the weekend rates and we determined that we could probably make it through the night with sweatshirts and extra blankets. He surprised us when he called back a few minutes later and said that he was in touch with their dispatcher who would make every effort to schedule us first thing on Monday morning. About 10:30 p.m., with the temperature around 7°, I became concerned about the pipes in our garage getting too cold and I called back. Dan talked me through getting the boiler pumps on which allowed the fluid to circulate, eliminating the chance of freezing. We made it safely through the night. The indoor temp was 59° when the phone rang at 7:30 a.m. The dispatcher was letting us know that she would route somebody our way soon, and before we hung up the phone, the technician was driving up the driveway. He diagnosed and fixed our problem within 30 minutes and we were on our way to having heat again. I wanted to let Heatsource know what a great experience we had with the night dispatcher, Dan, the on-call technician, and Gene, who came to fix our boiler so I called and spoke with the owner, Jennifer. It's no wonder her staff is professional, knowledgeable, and caring because she is too! When furnaces, water heaters, or pipes fail it can be an intimidating experience to find a repair team, and I was glad we found Heatsource. We would recommend them for their outstanding service!

The are professional, Curtious, and friendly. I had a problem with my wall furnace that needed to be adddressed, it was making a strange sound, they explained what was wrong and what was needed. They took the time to explain to me the problem and what could be done to take care off it. Not once did they try to sell me on other repairs and fixes not necessary at that time but should think about taking care of the issues. Not once did I feel pressured into doing something that was not necessary.

During a recent furnace outage (aka furnace not working), upon inspection and noticing the dreaded “3 blink” or flash code from the small LED on the unit, indicating a pressure switch and/or problem in the pressure switch system itself, a call was made to two other repair/service facilities, which were all booked, or at least that's what was stated and they could only come after hours at almost three times the cost of HeatSource, the wife and I called HeatSource to see if they could send out a technician as the house was already down to the mid 50's and it was still in the negative temps outside. Not only did the very nice young lady on the end of the phone listen to our needs and issues, we actually spoke to a human and not a dreaded answering machine service when we had to push 100 buttons to talk to a live human. She listened to what I had found out and passed this information along to her technician (Jess, or Jessie maybe was his name - I hope that was right), but she also reassured us that he would be out later that afternoon, before the close of business. When he arrived, he immediately began to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue. The bad part was replaced, as well as a new condensation pump which what was needed to prevent the new part from going bad. Now, while I knew I needed a condensation pump, I kept putting it off as I kept getting quotes in the $400 to $500 range and of course, by that time it was summer and other things took priority. Once again, the price for the condensation pump was nowhere close to that (almost half actually). So, while no one likes to spend money on repair costs or service calls, at least I knew this money was well spent (not like paying $100s of dollars for a lawyer and not getting any real satisfaction from it). Thank you to HeatSource for the quick response, for listening to what we found out (even though we weren't trained HVAC personnel) and repairing only the parts needed and not extra ones like a previous repair service technician tried to pull on us a year or so ago. Again, thank you all!

I called Heatsource Mechanical after I had been out of heat for 3 days and it had been -10 below. I was pretty frustrated with heating and plumbing in general by that time but was glad I called them. I spoke with Jennifer initially, the customer service was great! I know they were busy with other clients but they made my situation an urgent matter. They warned me about the added expense due to it being an after hours call but at that point, I just wanted it taken care of. Another woman, Sarah, called within an hour and let me know that they tracked down the part and would be able to install it if that was in fact the problem. The only area I didn't really like was the pricing. They make it a bundle package and don't tell you what the parts cost or hourly rate. Sarah said the plus side to this is that if the work takes longer to install or the technician has trouble, they eat that cost. The total cost was $966.00. I figured that the cost was on the higher side, as it would have been somewhere between $750-900 for the other guys for the same job. However, I don't think I would have been serviced as well. So for me, the money was well spent. I would rather pay a little more for a job well done than save money on haphazard work. Again, they made sure I was aware of the full price beforehand and let me know that the tech wouldn't arrive until after normal business hours. The service tech, Ken, arrived a little after 5pm, I was impressed. I had grown used to other guys rushing in and out as quickly as possible so it was really nice to have a tech that took the time to be very thorough. He spent around 2.5 hours outside with the boiler. I have a high-efficiency Munchkin boiler, I love it but it can be difficult for techs to work on. He was pretty comfortable with it and showed a great deal of knowledge when explaining things. He answered other questions and gave helpful suggestions as I obviously had some frozen pipes after 3 days without heat. I was thrilled that my boiler was fixed and have confidence that it was done right. It's been a couple weeks and running beautifully. The tech added a 99 dollar fee for diagnostics as that is probably what he normally does. I didn't ask him about it rather I just called Jennifer the following day and told her the flat rate and that I shouldn't have been charged the extra 99. She returned my call within a few minutes, apologized for the confusion and said it had been corrected. It really impressed me, they value their customers and their reputation. I wanted to give a fair review. I rated them 5/5. I did this not because the price was amazing but because the service, response, knowledge of problem and follow-up were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone with serious heating problems or appreciates greats service. I think it's easy to disregard local businesses as the pricing may be a bit higher but I do not. You usually get the best service from locals. They just want to make a living and provide services to their community. Thank you!
