I actually enjoyed this hotel. It's very hard for hotels to woo me because they're always lacking something but this hotel I felt was excellent. The best part was Dennis. He's the best liaison that they have. Any information you need, he'll get it for you even if he has to reach for his personal phone to research it and he will call it to help you get reservations. Now that customer service and do recommend if you come and stay here one or two days will not be enough Three or more and you would really enjoy. It's not that far from downtown Bourbon Street. The scenery around the hotel is beautiful in a scenery outside is as well. They actually have a piece of history outside across the street. Or you can take the trolley to Bourbon Street or the French quarters.

Very very nice hotel. It's about 6 blocks from Canal Street/Bourbon street area. Nice room and clean. My friend and I walked to Bourbon.... and it was not bad at all. The price was responsible for the time we were there. I would definitely stay here again.

After having a terrible experience with another local hotel, Hyatt Regency really saved the day. Not only did they have rooms available, but they treated me with respect and professionalism. When I explained why I needed the last minute hotel, the hotel employee was sympathetic and did everything he could to help make my night better, going as far as explaining where we could park not once, but twice because I was frazzled. I cannot confirm if he did so on purpose, but he also gave us a room with an amazing view. Hyatt Regency really saved the day for us and got our vacation back on track. I would 100% stay here again and probably would choose them over all other hotels no matter the price.

The hotel was very nice. The biggest asset was the staff from the valets, bellhops, front desk. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Nice views. The only issues were the hotel was packed and elevators and escalators kept breaking down. Also if large conventions are being held in the hotel, food is almost impossible to get during lunch hours in the restaurant. There are several places to eat close by if you can walk.

This could have been a 5 rating. The hotel is well located, with restaurants and a convenient coffee shop inside if you need to stay in the hotel. There is some wear and tear in the rooms, but the installations are well-maintained, and the rooms are comfortable. Before my arrival, the hotel sent me an email with the details of my stay and info about the hotel and nearby restaurants; this was fantastic. Most of the staff was terrific; almost everyone from the hotel made sure to help if I needed it or at least greet their guests with a smile. Scarlett at the check-in was fantastic; she made sure I had all info I needed at check-in.
Unfortunately, at the time of checking out, the entire experience missed the mark: I decided to take a Taxi instead of Uber, and the lady at the shuttle desk recommended I call the taxi from the bellhop because it was going to take longer for the shuttle to arrive. I asked the bell guy near reception for a cab; he did not receive the training the rest of the staff had, as he was not the most friendly person compared to the entire experience. He asked if I needed to pay with a card or cash, and I said card. Five minutes later, a random car arrived to pick me up from the side street instead of the hotel; I had to confirm with the bellhop if this was indeed the taxi, and he said yes. I went in; after a couple of minutes, I realized that this was a random unofficial taxi driver or some friend of the bellhop; I did not want to use my credit card with a random driver, but I asked the cab if they take credit card, and the driver said no, lucky me I had cash, but the driver didn't have change, how convenient; here I am at the airport trying to find someone who will have change so I can pay the taxi, the driver asked me to leave a piece of baggage while I look for change, which I did not want to do, all while I had to run to take my flight, we were able to find somebody that will change my bill, but this did not need to happen. I needed a receipt that I now don't have. The hotel should make sure that if a guest needs a taxi, they call a taxi that can either take cash or card, and not go through this mess at the airport.

Had many issues upon arrival. Room that was booked apparently no longer exist since renovations took place or so I was told at the desk. Yet the room, picture, and descriptions are still being provided, marketed, and sold. Was switched rooms 3 times. Wouldn’t seem to big of a deal until you realize you’ve went up and down a 32 floor hotel 3 times from the 28, to the 22 and finally to the 10th. A upgrade was given to apologize for the inconvenience. But seeing as how the hotel had no other major accommodations. Amenities were basic at best. Food was way overpriced, and I mean drastically. Not to mention because of it being a part convention center it stays busy. The event calendar should probably list wedding weekends as they consume majority of the hotel, the staffs time, and they produce a giant amount of noise in a open complex hotel.
