I typically don't leave reviews, but I seem to have no other outlet with Kansas Spine. I am pleased with my patient care when receiving a procedure and this review is not about that. I have been a patient for several years, but continue having difficulty making contact with staff. The automated message that calls will be returned in 24-48 hrs ends up being 48+ hrs or not at all which puts me back into the queue for another 24-48hrs when I call again. If I call on a Wed, nothing will happen until the following week. If I call during lunch hour, no one will answer. I like using Patient Portals as an alternative to direct human contact when an organization has a history of not returning calls, but when I attempted self-registration, I was given a screen that was different than the one displayed in the directions and I couldn't self-register. I am attempting to reschedule an appt this time, but wanted to document that Kansas Spine has a continuing problem with patient follow-up. This includes return phone calls and follow-ups to procedures. Please review organizational procedures and make improvements. Thank you.

As of today there is still a temperature check. I did not have to wait in-line to get in or to check on with my provider. The waiting room, bathrooms and exam rooms are always clean. My providers, Dr. Scott and his nurse Rhonda Janzen, are always neat and professional but very personable. I highly recommend th if you need a pain specialist.

I have to say I was feeling some high anxiety going into a back fusion surgery! I could not have received better care anywhere else . Besides of course having a successful surgery, my care while staying at this facility was phenomenal. Everyone who entered my room was respectful, friendly, caring, and professional . The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I even had many encouraging words as I made my hallway laps . I highly recommend the Kansas spine hospital and Dr Henry.

Fantastic place. I checked in Friday morning and was there until Sunday afternoon. Dr. Henry perform a spinal Fusion on my vertebrae L4-L5 and shave some arthritis off L2-L3. The entire process went smoothly and the nurses and aides were very kind and accommodating. Would highly recommend this clinic.

I have been here many times. Parking is wonderfully upfront and visable from Webb. From the front door with nurse assist, front counter w/ information lady & registration with whomever is there it doesn't matter,, they will get you comfortably and happy back to the back where, my superb Specialty doctor Dr Chandra Tokala, and his amazing assistant Gina also ALL the FANTASTIC nurses whom have come to astound me as they are effortlessly on top of things, they have ALL treated my care throughout a difficult few issues with the VERY BEST QUALITY CARE I could get in Wichita. This place is Clean,, Efficiant, Careing, knowledgeable, and Never have I had to wait long times. I think ALL surgical centers in Wichita should run like this. I thank everyone there for not having to worry about my care at Ks Spine and Specialty Hospital

I had a Microdiscectomy at KSH yesterday morning and was so impressed with this hospital. The staff was absolutely amazing! It was very clean, and organized and was far beyond what a typical hospital "feels" like. Everyone was so friendly and treated me with compassion. I wish I could thank them all for taking my scary day and turning it into a not-so-scary experience. I would highly recommend KSH to anyone in need of lumbar surgery.

Just had surgery yesterday (12/23) on my busted left wrist. Can not say enough great things about my experience. My nurse, Maggie, was super awesome! I just felt like I was in good hands with everyone on staff. They were very kind and professional, including the front desk receptionist. Dr. Damion Walker and his Anesthesiologist, Joe, were top notch! Thank you to everyone there. Merry Christmas!

This is a wonderful place. From PreOp to PostOp took great care of me. Probably why they were able to kick me out a day early. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Great staff (Shout out to RN FY and CNA Linda) Best review is when my wife sends treats and thank you notes. This also includes cleaning staff and kitchen staff.

I recently had back surgery in this hospital. The Admissions and Billing people were terrific! The Pre-op nurses I spoke with were attentive and helpful. Kelly was my nurse prior to surgery...so happy with the way she helped me! After surgery, I was cared for by Casey, Patti, Liz and Kimberly. I could not have asked for better nurses!! The hospital was impeccably clean and quiet. Thank you!

I went into to have a disc shaved down and a bone spur cut down in my lower back. Check-in was smooth and the person checking me in was very pleasant to me. All of the nursing staff was professional and friendly. I had great care from everyone. Surgery went great and 12 hours later I am home taking my walks. I highly recommend Kansas Spine Hospital. I had a cortisone injection done this week by Dr. Damion Walker and could not have been more impressed with the facility, the compassion of the nurses, and the efficient admitting staff. My OR nurse, Susie Coins, was absolutely amazing! She explained the procedure, stayed with me for the required 15 minutes afterward, walked me to my car, and then called the next day to see how I was feeling. Great experience!

This is my 4th time here and I truly hope I never have to go any place else. Dr. Walker is an amazing Dr. along with his whole staff. I have received the best care from all of them. The hospital is top notch!! The check in is very efficient. The pre operative nursing staff is very patient, very caring and truly amazing. The care I recieved after surgery each and every time is bar none the best ever. They go above and beyond on every aspect. The food is like none I have ever had in a hospital facility. The place is clean, QUIET and comfortable. I can not say enough good things about this place. Thank you.

I just had a laminotomy at Kansas Spine and Specialty Hospital. It was in and out same day. I was really impressed with how kind and competent the staff was. They stayed on top of my pain and were quick to answer questions. Super happy with their staff and facility.

Where do I begin to say thank you? After 44 years in the medical field I can tell a professional happy staff when I see one. Great teamwoek helping each other.Happy staff results in happy patients who are well cared for in a compassionate caring manor. It all starts at the top with how administration and doctors treat the employees. I have had 2 surgeries by Dr Dickerson and multiple injectons by Dr. Scott in the last 5 yrs. They are both wonderful doctors with skill and great bedside manner. The only constructive suggestion I can give is to pad the pt. room doors so they don't bang at night. All staff were wonderful as well as the food. Outstanding experince.

This place makes one feel so specially cared for and are the most wonderful people to open your eyes to after surger, outside of family faces, I want these nurses there, every single one, when I wake up after surgery. Docs and nurses work so confidently together that there is NO FEAR and no screams! Haha. Thanks to all who work hard and truly put your hearts into each patient.

Everyone took care of me and treated my family like their own during what I can only describe as the scariest week of my life. My husband had a procedure done by Dr James Weimer and we were extremely impressed with the facility, nurses, doctor,etc.... I recommended Dr Weimer to my mom and we were, again, impressed with Dr Weimer and his PA, Tony, but I wasn't impressed with some of the nurses that took care of her post operative (kept forgetting to bring in pain meds) which lead to poor pain control, housekeeping never came in and cleaned the bathroom, even though she was sharing a bathroom with another patient, her food was cold. On top of all that, it's like pulling nails to get his nurse to call us back ...I'm talking like its taken over a week to get someone to call us back regarding making a follow up apnt because that was over looked before she got dismissed . We even tried calling his nurse when she got home from the hospital because her pain meds were not controlling her pain and nobody ever called us back regarding that. Not a good experience all around....

Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital is an amazing facility. I had a procedure called TLIF done 4 weeks ago and I am completely satisfied with the results. I am grateful that I chose Dr. James D. Weimar to perform this procedure and also thankful to have had it done at this hospital. Wonderful nurses, friendly staff, and a sparkling clean facility made my experience a success!

This clinic is very understaffed and it takes 4 to 5 weeks to get an appointment for pain control! I had waited in one of the rooms for more than 20 minutes, so I finally opened the door and an assistant gave me a brochure but no pain treatment!

I had two hip replacements and one knee replacements here. The care (and the food) was first class. Nobody likes a surgery, but I can't imagine a better environment for operative and post-operative care.

Not happy. My husband had surgery in February and then they had to go back in and do surgery again, was released on a Saturday and had some problems with getting his meds filled and you can't reach anyone on the weekends even at the hospital. And the food was terrible

This Hospital, to include not only the Doctors and Nurses but all the administrative staff, are top notch. I know because I had the opportunity to see much of what goes on from day to day while working there as a Housekeeper for 4 months on 2d shift. I worked for a facilities management company who supplied about 7 of us to work on 2d shift as housekeepers. I was the only person who consistently worked while "on the clock," and I made a few attempts to inform that company that my co-workers were goofing off around 30% of the time they were on the clock. They didn't seem interested at all in correcting the situation, and I couldn't figure out why they weren't getting on it. They eventually got tired of hearing about the 'theft of wages' and told me to just leave. Then I realized why they didn't pursue the matter: they weren't the ones getting cheated! They just billed the hospital for the hours "worked"! The hospital was the one getting cheated! I pray daily that this excellent hospital will correct this situation, and correct it permanently so it never happens again. Money is too tight to be paying ANY employees for time goofing off. All employees need to be earning their pay, every minute of every hour, every day, don't they? If you are aware of a similar situation at your hospital or other place of business consider reporting it. I'm glad I did. Lets make America better! I would appreciate assistance from anyone in finding the name and contact info for the company that owns the hospital. I believe it is located in Brentwood, Tennessee. They should be informed of this matter, shouldn't they?
