I gave birth in this hospital. I am very pleased. I spent 3 days here. Very caring staff, professional nurses and good doctors. The room is very comfortable, there was always cleaning. The staff came every hour. The food was also top notch. There is a menu and you can choose for every taste. Wait only 30 minutes. I am very satisfied with the hospital! He's the best in our state of Virginia!

We just had the birth of our second child at the Inova Fairfax Women's Hospital Center, and it went so smoothly we almost can't believe it. (We had our first child here 5 years ago, for reference, and it went really great then too.) The nursing staff was so helpful and educational, and prioritized the comfort of my wife and our new son above all else. They made sure she recovered well and was fed, and I was glad to see a Panera just a minute's walk from our rooms on the 2nd and 5th floors. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We are from Pennsylvania. We had a family function this past weekend in Virginia. My husband was taken to Fairfax hospital via ambulance. The emergency staff was very attentive and he got all his needed tests promptly which I was very pleased. When he was moved to a room, we also had a positive experience. We were so impressed by the nurses’ attention to his care. I wish our hospitals in our area were this caring and competent.

My wife and I just recently brought a bundle of joy into our lives here. Without too much detail, not everything went to plan, but with every obstacle the staff responded in kind and made everything seem like that was the plan all along. And after the baby was born the nurses were extremely attentive and each nurse brought a little new piece of advice that truly made all the difference. They even had a nice little kitchen with drinks and a few snacks in a pinch. That with the Panera downstairs, honestly I can't imagine having a birth anywhere else.

Forget what them Karen’s are saying
Labor and delivery did a great job delivering my son. It was scary because he was low on fluid and wasn’t getting enough blood and my girlfriend was scared to do C section but overall it had to be done to save my sons life. The doctor made the right judgement call, all nurses are very helpful and manage their time exactly how they’re supposed to. We never felt neglected or mistreated we are glad to have our son born at Fairfax hospital🙏🏿💙

Amazing nurses.. amazing customer services. Experienced doctors. Best NICU in VA. My personal experience with my new born was out of this world. As a mother I could trust the staff and leave my new born to go home and visit my other kids.

Very nice facility with helpful and friendly staff. I'm reducing down one star because I've met a few residents with very bad attitude. These residents became very upset when asked to explain the symptom in easier way. The hospital should teach these residents how to respect and communicate with patients before they call themselves as doctors.

Doctors and RNs are good, but that's because they are educated. Rest are bad under international standards but average under U.S. standards. There's a big shortage of nurses and that just allows the low grades to pass the filter. Their doorkeepers are contract hires through United Securities Agency. A bunch of failures. However, it is, too, considered hard job because a person needs to stand at all times and often work overnight. It is not easy to find good candidates for jobs like those but it does not mean it is okay to hire ground-level beings as hospital staff.

My husband was released from the hospital and I called and told the nurse I would come up and get him ready for transport home and she told me the nurses would take care of it. The transport policy brought him home and I had no paperwork where they signed him out. Nobody went over with his release paperwork. The nurse didn't go over anything and sign the paperwork and neither did he.Everyone was asking about his meds and discharge paperwork and I had nothing Who is responsible for this mess. As a nurse he fell between the cracks and no one stood up to be responsible. Just told by the nurse I called was sorry but she wasn't there the day he was discharged . Excuses every where

Came here for a broken finger and they seemed busy but somehow I got seen pretty fast my X-ray was less than 10 minutes after check in. Then maybe max 15 minutes later I got seen again to go over my results. The staff was very nice and they were hustling in smooth fashion like a well oiled machine, they were very well coordinated

I had my baby boy at this hospital and it was a pretty great experience overall. I was a transfer from the birthing center.
Checkin process was horrible though. I was having extremely painful contractions and the security guard didn’t want to let us in the Womens entrance, he wanted us to walk around the whole hospital to get in. Eventually he let us in but the receptionist refused to check us in. Fortunately another receptionist took me to triage and I was able to get care.
Other than the checkin process I had a good experience. I had great nurses and doctors. They did do a LOT of cervix exams though because they were teaching residents to do them as well.
Baby was taken to the NICU right away and I had to wait to see him which was tough. We were eventually released together on the 4th day.

My family went thru some extremely life threatening medical issues past three weeks. My spouse had serious medical issues and we moved her to ER over at Fair Oaks hospital where Dr. Masoud Rezvani who was an extremely talented medical professional decided to air lift her and move to Inova Fairfax. The thoracic team led by Dr. Suzuki Kei performed a gastronomy surgery and diligently monitored her wellness thru out the period in the hospital. I have realized that the nurses, assistants and techs are life savers and equally contribute in the progress of the ailing patient. I whole hearty wanted to express my gratitude to all the entire Medical Support Team who lovingly helped my spouse and contributed towards her wellness. I remember few names who always performed above and beyond the duties RN, McKenzie, Lauren, Rebecca in ICCU and RN, Teresa, Christie, Regina, Corrine, Julia, Emma, Elena and the Techs Zeb, John, Teresa, Shaila and Usman over at South Towers, 8th floor.
Thank you! GBU!

This is a amazing hospital my grandma was here when she fell broke her femur and today im here for my epilepsy . We are almost 3 hours from home but this hospital is worth the trip for your health care . Their epilepsy unit is very nice , nurses are great and respectful. Highly recommend. Worth 100 stars in my book .

Nurse Maddy, Dr Reynolds, and Dr. Woods were all fantastic! I'm grateful for their expertise and will have full functionality of my hand because they knew what to do with my cut tendons.

Typical Western medicine facility. However, my Uber driver from Afghanistan was exponentially more knowledgeable regarding my issue than Kari Scantlebury, MD, and any of the other medical professionals at Inova Fairfax

I went to Frederick hospital they said I need open heart surgery and they can't do that here. They ended sending me to INOVA and they found that I did not need open heart surgery I had Endocarditis an infection of the heart valves which was treated with 7 weeks of IV Antibiotics. Thank you INOVA for saving my life!

My daughter had to have a blood transfusion. I arrived with my daughter, parked in the green parking garage, a lady nurse parked beside me, asked her how to get to the 9th floor for children, she offered to help me with my luggage and showed and told me how to get to the 9th floor from the green garage. Took the Skywalk to the hospital, they checked the temperature of me and my daughter and gave me a visitor sticker inside the Skywalk. Took the elevator to the 9th floor, the doors of Innova children's hospital were opened to me before I could press the button on the wall (since they saw that I was carrying my daughter with one hand/arm and luggage with the other hand). The lady at the front desk gave us wristbands and told me where our room was located. Our room door was opened and we made ourselves at home. The nurses and doctors are amazing. The nurses and doctors (Marely, Jeannette and Dr Pigues) were really nice to my daughter. Mission accomplished thank God and we were released from the hospital within 24 hours. The dining personnel, the menu and the food were awesome! Loved the view while looking out the window!

Beautiful facility, and caring people.
From ER to PCCU, CTU & APU. Thank you so much for taking good care of my sister. You guys are amazing. Such a hard working, polite, and caring people. I am impressed as to how attentive the nurses are. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!

Got flown in and went from the ICU all the way to the original building before I left was there for over 10 days, they saved my life, place was nice and clean DRs were good, phenomenal GI specialist, most staff were kind and caring but there's always the few staff members that have attitudes and act like its a chore to do there job.

There's a nurse. Whose name is Miwa helped me on Friday 01/20/2023 night shift.
She tried to comfort a patient with great passion, small details and patience. I hope every nurse is doing same etiquette. Thank you so much Miwa.

Thank you Fairfax Innova!. Your pediatric staff (9th floor) was simply amazing. Doctors, nurses, where can I start? 6 stars if I could!
Matt Dora
My daughter was born here and have had nothing but great experiences with every single Dr. Not sure what all the other bad reviews are about, it seems like foreigners leaving horrible unreasonable reviews that are arriving from countries that have 1/2 the or even less accommodation/qualified Dr.s than here and expect nothing but perfection, I’m sorry to bust their bubble but this is America and even though we have a high standard of healthcare we are not #1 in that field (might give that one to Canada or Switzerland).
I came in on 4th of July to the pediatric side to get my 3 y/o checked out after Fairfax county police FAILED to call an ambulance for my wife whom was rear ended in a car accident with her in the back strapped in her car seat. All just to double check that she was ok and she was thank the lord. The pediatric nurses and Dr.s are very knowledgeable and very polite. My experience in the ER for various instances have had the normal wait time, but the Dr.s never misdiagnosed me. What these other people fail to understand is if you do not have any form of health insurance than yes they will try and send you out to a follow up Dr! Those beds are for people WITH INSURANCE that have a serious enough issue to be admitted. One reviewer was complaining about the $5! PARKING fee and was so upset as to say the hospital needs to be demolished just for that reason, they just spent MILLIONS revamping that hospital 3 years ago, it’s not going anywhere soon. Get a grip, stop giving places unreasonable reviews.

The Emergency unit is currently average and will treat/cure average injuries.
The Behavioral/Psychiatry unit is currently incompetent, loosely prescribe medication, lazy at times, miss doses, hide from their work, and the team doesn’t communicate synchronously. Not uncommon to leave the unit worse than beforehand.
The wing of the hospital for the Behavioral/Psychiatric Unit atmosphere is cold, scary, and traumatic at times. Not a good place to heal. The doctor, case manager, and nurses are on separate understandings of patient care at times.
Ultimately, the team of doctors in the Behavioral/Psychiatric Unit are not in full synchrony. They have and may prescribe the wrong medication or wrong dosing worsening patient health. If a Behavioral/Psychiatry unit is needed, if possible, I would suggest a better hospital.
The emergency unit I would rate between 3-4/5 stars and behavioral/psychiatric unit about 2/5. Hence, my 3/5 star rating.

I had never been here before but I would go back if I ever needed to. I arrived around 7 and left around 10. Very timely considering all they had to help me with. The doctor I saw at the ER was professional and quick to assist. The ER was crazy busy but I still received thoughtful care. The nurse and tech had answers to most questions I had. The monitors they connected me with ran smoothly. The Transport person that took me to CT was friendly and made sure I was not alone while waiting for the CT room. The CT dept. was VERY professional and caring. Things were clean and seemed well taken care of. Overall, I was treated with respect and caring. The only thing I would change would be security guard. He was creepy and would not stop staring at me. He was sitting down and just staring at me as I was waiting on my husband to help me to our car. Even when other people seemed as if they might need help with directions or anything he never moved or stopped staring at me.

I just went to the ER for a torn calf muscle and received excellent care. I was in and out in under one hour. The nurses, doctors and staff were courteous and very friendly. This was the best experience I have had at an ER. On a different occasion they treated my toddler for a head injury and he received excellent care as well.
Shawn Moses
Hello my name is Shawn Moses I had a work injury that destroyed two tendons in my left index finger and destroyed to nerves it was highly painful. I was treated by dr. Meehan he is great at what he does he was very attentive and accurate on his work during surgery I did not feel anything. Of course recovery is painful but thanks to his fellow staff members and nurses RNs and security they treated me well some of the names that I remember are Ashley Sarah Michelle Sabrina Sandra giftley and multiple others and including three male nurse. I cannot remember all the names but they made it a lot easier for my recovery I had stayed in the bed in room 328 on the third floor they treated me well. This service was great I don't think I would recommend any other Hospital except for this one in Alexandria Inova but out of my whole life I have never felt this way about a hospital and I I think that these people are superheroes and everybody's life thanks God for them and God bless you all. As well as my anesthetic doctor was great she was very gentle this surgery team needs to know that they are great people and I feel as they deserve a raise and reward for doing it everyday job to the highest extent can't wait until my next visit to find out more about my injury. Thank you for all your help guys keep up the good work

We went there for elective surgery and everything was smooth. I have taken a look at posted comments and most reviewers give either one star or five stars so it seems in critical health care satisfaction is either a hit or miss. In our case staffing, infrastructure, equipment and management were superb.

The facilities here are very nice. The fact there is a panera open late is wonderful for staff and patient families.
Visiting hours are later which is great.
The option to pay for multiple parking passes is wonderful. Saves family money, even though I think parking should be free, not sure why they charge at hospitals anyhow.
The staff is great and the food for patients are way better than the food at many hospitals in the area.
Thank you Inova for the treatment and care you have provided us.
Margaret Grow
Inova is the best hospital in the DC area. They took care of my surgery for cancer. From the surgeon to the nurses it’s a top notch center for care. Highly recommend.
Joanna Loza
It is a hospital that provides good care for patients who arrive with their problem and solve it immediately. Good care and the doctors, nurses, and cleaners are very well trained. I am happy with the care at that hospital. Thank you very much.

We gave a birth a baby boy we spend like 3 day was amazing services well experience nurses and doctors this is the great hospital in USA
Cathryne
I gave birth here in July 2021, I came in laboring & they tried to send me home saying I wasn’t dilated enough but I said no because I have fast births (this was my second). I was sent downstairs to walk for 2 hours before being checked again and walked around for an hour and went back to triage bc my contractions became unbearable & they made me wait another 45 minutes because my “2 hours wasn’t up” they finally had a different dr check me. Seconds after they checked my body started involuntarily pushing I gave birth in the triage room. The dr was completely rude & kept yelling at me to stop screaming as I pushed a baby out unmedicated. Once I got into a room it was nice the nurses were great. Once my son hit 24 hours I kept asking about his bath and the nurse kept putting it off I kept asking and she finally did it but it seemed she had gained an attitude about it… sorry I want my baby clean ??? … I also kept asking about circumcision.. I was only supposed to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying 3 because they kept putting of my sons circumcision.after repeatedly asking.

I had my baby 4 months ago and I can’t be more thankful to the Staff of Doctors and incredible nurses. I’m forever grateful for the care I had before, during and after my csection. Nurses, you are heroes! Thank you for taking care of me and my baby boy, I couldn’t have done it without any of you and your sweet souls. I sometimes get tears in my eyes remembering all the different nurses coming in holding my hand, truly asking me how I am and their emotional and physical support during the whole time. I’m terrible with names but I will never forget my guardian angels specially the nurse I got the night of my csection and the nurse I got the last 2 days of my stay. You guys will forever have my respect, it’s definitely not an easy job so thank you for all you do!

I went to the E.D on 01/20 with an appendix inflammation and the staff were nothing but great to me the whole time. RN Milly at the E.D who is the sweetest nurses I’ve come across triaged me. RN Leah put me in the hallway until I was ready for surgery. Both the surgical resident and RN Leah arranged for me a get a breast pump so I could pump for my 2 month old and offered to store the milk for me which was very generous of them. Dr. Teacher and Dr Lesotho, both were very eager to answer any questions I had and made me very comfortable about my surgery. RN Katie in the recovery room and Kathleen in the post op we’re just wonderful and so patient with me, offering me crackers and water and kept up with my pain meds. This was my first surgery ever and the whole team made my experience so much smoother and so comfortable. I hope Inova can recognize these wonderful people and all that they do for their patients.

The staff on the oncology unit is the best, most patient and kind people ever. I really appreciate the care they gave my son-in-law!
More attention should be focused on the housekeeping. As you go up and down the escalator the top is full of dust and needs to be cleaned. The waiting areas near the window at the entrance area tables are also dusty and the table and chairs are terrible too. Those areas I would think would be more sanitized

We had the best nurse taking care of my mom yesterday and today thank you Kayla you are amazing.

My husband was there for several days. We appreciated the kindness of the entire staff. Someone was always available to answer questions.

The staff was very nice. All the Tech's. Were ecttemly nice. The food not bad but a lot of what they serve I don't eat anymore. But I really can't complain.

A fun place to stay and socialize with other people like being on a luxury vacation cruise. I always miss the hospital after I leave.

My father in law, is currently a patient. He has Neuro problems and will probably not make it. I am writing here to thank his ICU doctors, to thank and acknowledge the patience of his doctors who spent two hours on the phone with us trying to explain the futility of a certain procedure. Their approach was very humane and sincere. Thank you for everything you have done and are doing for my family.
Ciera Dameron
My 3 year old son has regular endoscopes and has had then done at a few different facilities. The GE lab nurses and anesthesiologists have been very understanding and accommodating to my sons fear of the hospital. The child life specialist (who my son calls Dr. Molly) always has the right toys and distractions and even gets my son ready for the procedure through play so he has fun doing it. They have been on time and even quick (without making us feel rushed) on procedure days. This has been our favorite facility for his procedures and it takes a lot of stress out of an already stressful day.

I had a great experience bringing in my younger brother from a sports injury (ER pediatrics). It was a in and out process with little to no wait time. Staff and provider were exceptional super resourceful ❤️
Martin Cook
Brought my daughter here after she had a tooth knocked out from a bicycle accident. After a 3 hour emergency dental procedure at a different facility the dentist recommended we go here just to check for head trauma. It was about 2am my daughter started getting sick in the waiting area. The young lady at the front desk had my daughter brought back right away. She could tell I was a little distraught so she helped me fill out the paperwork which I thought was very thoughtful and I appreciated it. I went into the room and there was already a nurse and doctor examining my daughter. They were both exceptionally nice and professional. Thankfully my daughter was fine but the doctor was very thorough in explaining what to watch and monitor her for. The doctor even called me herself to see how my daughter was doing and see if I had any questions. This facility and everyone we interacted with was superb and I wish to thank them very much for how they cared for my daughter. Thank you INOVA Fairfax ER staff!!
Larry Blankenship
Amazing facility with superb staff. I truly appreciate the time and dedication the ER staff has provided during my visit.

What more can I say about a place that saved my son's life. The hospital is clean, the nurses and doctors are excellent. The ER is probably a hit or miss but there is almost no wait time if you go early in the morning. Their pediatric hospital and womens center is awesome!

I HIGHLY recommend Inova Fairfax....thee best hospital, with thee best food, with thee BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER....I had to fire my midwife at the last minute because the bedside manners didn't meet our expectations and God blessed my OB to take me at the last minute and IM VERY THANKFUL because God wouldn't have it any other way 😉😁The only hospital that will take care of you and your spouse....of course our insurance really took care of him. We were so taken care of we didn't want to leave. They spoiled us. Uhhhhh I may have to re-enroll so we can get waited on. Man that felt great! #7yearsstrong

This is for labor and delivery section!!!I absolutely love the L&D staff! Huge shout out to all the people who made my wife(whom is (was) pregnant with twins) very comfortable. The service is and still is(still here) the best I have ever encountered at a hospital. The ladies at NICU are like angel's. Very professional, prompt response time and they always have a smile on their faces and eager to help and listen. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Inova staff for a wonderful experience on this beautiful day!!! Kudos!!!

ER room - The Nurses that work here are great! They genuinely care about their patients. They are very calm and in the know.. HOWEVER the Doctors here don’t care at all about the patients and have no knowledge at all (especially daytime Dr’s). Best experience with the Nurses, they are all so so sweet, understanding, informative and kind. Worse experience with the Dr, he was very rude and kept disclosing my private patience information to other workers aswell as not doing his job by helping me get better. Night Dr was more genuine but still followed daytime Dr as he was in first. 6/5 for your Nurses!!!! 1/5 for your Dr’s. I got in very quickly which I was very pleased about! Receptionist is lovely, understanding and genuine.

The doctors and staff at this hospital is just amazing. I gave birth to all 4 children here. My last pregnancy was a complicated one and the staff was great, they put me at ease and made my family feel very welcomed. Most importantly, the nurses really took the time to get to know you and were very thorough.

My mother was admitted to the ER last night for internal bleeding . I wanted to thank any doctors and nurses that help her during that time. The only thing i have a issue here is that fact when upon arrival to see her, the front desk clerk stated only 2 family members can only be in her room. That makes not sense to me. What would happen if she wasn't going to make it and my entire family couldn't go see her because "sorry only 2 family member can be present in her room". Please consider changing that rule!!!
mike hanna
Had to have my right ankle amputated on September to 6th 2017 from the very first time I went there to the very last day I had to leave your staff the nurses the doctors everybody was excellent I wouldn't be able to walk today wasn't for your doctors nurses staff everybody give yourself a round of applause.

My wife experienced chest pain and was transported to the hospital ER about 12:30 AM 8/22/18 by an EMS Rescue Team. The ER staff was outstanding! The ER physician was very thorough and understanding. A CT scan and other appropriate procedures for chest pain were performed. My wife was admitted to the Heart and Vascular Institute Unit. A separate commendatory letter has been sent to the CEO of the Heart and Vascular Unit. The ER staff far exceeded expectations and in my view, is deserving of recognition above and beyond that normally accorded exceptional staff performance.
Lilia Ghazvini
Amazing hospital, they took wonderful care of my mom here in the ER. Sending a special thanks to Operator Cindy for her professionalism and warmth, and to Jenny in the ER for her empathy and caring. She put my mind at ease by reassuring me that my mom was receiving great care. I am so incredibly grateful to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for being there for my mom! It means so much to me and my family. INOVA employs truly excellent people.

Caring staff from triage to nurses that got me into a room quickly in middle of night. Shannon (nurse) was very attentive and communicated everything well to me. Saw a doctor (Dr. Kim) within half hour of arrival to get my pain under control. Best hospital emergency room experience I've had.
Joe Ryan
In a bizarre twist of events I've ended up at this hosptial's ER twice this week with family members. Both times the experience was exceptional. The staff is caring and professional, and we've felt both times like we were well cared for. We visited both the pediatric and the adult ER. Very well run. One family member was actually admitted and the hospital did a great job of taking care of him for several days until he could come home. They keep the patient informed and did a great job overall.
K Stegall
Nursing staff completely awesome. Security was uncomfortably poor. Was told to bring my husbands rollerbag, after surgery a 4 hr wait for room, but it was 5 min after 5pm. cut off for visitors. I left my cell phome in my husbands room, spoke to Security before I left and was initially not allowed back in. I was told to call the floor, which I had not phone. Security said " too bad, I can't call". I buzzed main security twice, only to be toldI should carry a phone. Initially, in tears, I stopped an employee with a phone. Now I had 3 Security Officers who would not let me in or take my bag to my husband's room. Thank God for that employee, who cared about me. I am a nurse...I will return the favor.

Unfortunately for me, I had to come to the hospital for a biopsy for a health issue that I'm dealing with. However, I want to point out that invova Fairfax hospital took care of me and all my needs. Before my procedure, they gave me a call to ensure that I knew where I was going and where to show up. The instructions they provided were really helpful, and it was one less thing for me to worry about. When I arrived, they treated me and my wife with utmost respect and care. The instructions they provided were extremely helpful. We didn't feel the need to worry about anything except for preparing for my procedure mentally.
After I woke up from my procedure, the nurse that took care of me was extremely kind and helpful. I felt weak and tired, but she explained everything to me and helped me with what I needed. She contacted my wife, so I would not be alone for very long.
Ultimately I highly recommend this hospital. The service is top-notch. The facilities are great. I would come again if I had to.
Becky K.
The facility is clean, will labelled, staff are present to direct you, and good COVID precautions. Also, they have excellent preparatory calls ahead of time to deal with questions, paperwork, & they give good directions. I feel very confident having surgery there at the end of the month.

best hospital i ever visited and the doctors were nice😃 …

I had suffered a football injury. I recovered an onside kick and took a helmet to the back. I had to call the ambulance because I could barely walk. They all helped me onto the stretcher and Into the ambulance. The person who was in the ambulance with me was Jordan and he was really nice to me in there. Then once we got to the hospital I got onto a bed. Then as normal doctors and nurses came in. I liked all of them. But the one I really liked was Kristi(nurse). She didn't force anything and she was working with me with my pain. I didn't end up leaving the hospital until about 5-5:30 in the morning, and as you can see the people that I really liked this hospital visit were Kristi and Jordan. If you could maybe reach out to them and tell what a great job they did. Thank you
Darlene Jones
My son was taken there with head trauma. Nurses and doctors took care of him 247, I can't thank them enough they made me feel like I had no worries about my son care, I called three times a day and every time I got a update on him, physical therapy was awesome, and dietary and housekeeping was awesome as well.

My daughter-in-law recently gave birth to her baby who was in the neonatal intensive care unit. The nurses and the specialists (pediatrician, neurologists) are excellent. HOWEVER, we were very unhappy about the two "doctors on call" who conveyed inaccurate and aggravating information to the parents. Once s/he called my son saying that the baby had a seizure (the neurologist later said the baby had a tightened brain activity but did not have a clinical seizure); the other "doctor on call" called my son telling him "I'm sorry, the MRI results of your baby were not good" (the neurologist later told said that the problems were minor). I don't know whether these doctors on call were residents. I hope they did not have any malicious intentions, but it is so unnecessary to aggravate the parents who are already seriously worried about their child. Please address this issue for the benefit of the patients and their parents who will come to the hospital.
Kayla McDerment
I'm really surprised at all the negative reviews. We drive about 2 hours to come here, because I'm not comfortable with the hospitals in my area treating my daughter. I've really not had any issues. As long as you show that you are involved in youre childs care, they will include, and discuss thoroughly. We are currently in the ER being treated. The sence on urgency was outstanding. Very nice to see! So far everyone has been great.

My wife and i had our baby girl here and they were absolutely exceptional. The nursing staff is wonderful and unbelievably attentive and helpful. I could not have asked for a betyer experience, the level of care provided was mind blowing. We are one month out and they just called to check up on us and offee advice and tips and to answer any questions... What hospital does that?? We are so thrilled to have had our child there.

I had surgery on Wed Sept 12, 20018 scheduled for 1830 hrs.Everything was on target and the most congenial staff that I have ever met. My stay there for 3 days was like being on a resort unbelievable. Nice large clean room. My physician Dr. Rose has an excellent staff commendable. Best care ever. The nurses, food service, room service the most professional ever witnessed as if I were dreaming. It will be very difficult to render service from another hospital facility. Kudos to All the staff that rendered service to room 409 from Sept. 12-15th Keep up the good standard you all are the bestest!
Christian Kijora
I've had 2 knees replaced here and my gall bladder removed on an emergency basis. They have always been professional and courteous. They were especially good to my mom who could be described as difficult. Love these guys.
Sarah Rogers
It's wonderfully. And location is great. Awesome environment here.

The nurses in Labor and Delivery, and the hospital in general, perform such crucial jobs, from helping with birth to caring for newborns while new parents are trying to sort out all the immense new responsibilities. We could not have birthed our firstborn this past week without their knowledge and assistance, and they made the process as seem-less as possible. Special thanks to Emily, Corey, and Kaitlyn for helping with our newborn as we transitioned into life as new parents. Forever grateful!!!

This place is great. I went in with pain that required a specific exam that literally gave me an anxiety attack. Miss Vicki one of the staff came in, bent over me, hugged me and held my hand through the entire thing and I have never had that happen to me before. I was so scared and she was so comforting and sweet. Not only that the doctor doing the exam, (Dr. Al-Kadiri,) found the problem, diagnosed me and ordered the appropriate medicinal treatment for me very quickly. I was in and out in a timely manner and am very happy with my experience. I felt very respected. I would not have wanted to go anywhere else. When I left I almost cried tears of joy and didn’t want to remove my hospital band for a few days just so I could look at it and be reminded of the excellent care and respect I received while I was there.

My stepdad had an aortic valve replacement his recovery after surgery has been great! The nurse that took care of him during the day in the cardio vascular step down unit was amazing. She was kind , efficient ,helpful, and very knowledgeable. Her name was Lizzie Callahan! She was extraordinary. Unfortunately before my stepdad was discharged there was a really unpleasant incident with the shift nurse of this morning ,she was rude , mean ,bossy , and totally unprofessional her name was Martha an older lady she screamed at my stepdad and my mom called my mom in others word “fat” and was forcing and rushing the patient in this case my stepdad to make an xta force when getting up from the bed which caused him pain and made his sternum crack a little. We understand nurses are under stress and have a lot of responsibility but you don’t have to shout or be rude !we loved Lizzie she was the definition of a nurse a great person ! Over all great hospital!

Amazing hospital staffed with some of the most loving and knowledgeable people. My daughter was here with a concussion. She needed an MRI. Regardless of my daughter’s mood, everyone was so helpful and caring towards her. Holly was our Child Life Specialist. My daughter loved her. Thank you everyone! Great hospital.

All staff here; ER, Post-Op, Outpatient Care, are all top notch and very caring. The nurses in post-op have a very tough job attending to patients who literally just got out of surgery - especially during off-hours. Kudos to the nurses really wanting to make patients' lives more comfortable in the post-operation care department.

My Doc sent me over for ultrasound on a suspected blood clot in the leg. Friday at 4pm the ER was slammed. Big mix of "clientele" but I guess that is expected in an ER. Staff was all great and professional. Friendly and kind. Even tho all the rooms and halls were backed up, I was amazed at how all those aids, nurses, doctors, etc stayed on top of things. Always checking on me at times (like with other patients too) and dealing with a wide variety of issues. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the way to park or get to the ER easily without "valet" parking - especially if you are by yourself. Regardless, having to be in the ER is not a pleasant experience for anyone and the staff that crossed my path made the experience easier. Thank you!

I unfortunately had to check into the ER, the wait time isn’t very long in the waiting room but it will take a few hours once you’re checked in, as the staff are understandably overwhelmed right now. Nurse Megan was excellent, attentive, and kind. I couldn’t have asked for better service even though the hospital was overwhelmed.
I had a weird situation with the check in staff. There are a few places to eat on the hospital campus, after I was discharged I went over to try and get some food/drink that I needed for my medication that was being filled at Inova’s pharmacy. I went in the women’s hospital entrance so I could go to the Panera, and the check in staff person was, for lack of a better term, a complete weirdo. I asked him if I could get past them to get food from Panera, and he asked if I wanted to go to Panera? And I said yes, I’m not exactly sure where are I stuttered. He then explained the restaurant wasn’t open to outsiders due to covid-19 (as if 10 months into this pandemic I had no idea there was a pandemic), which was understandable. But his reaction was so bizarre as he started playing head games asking if I still wanted to go in even though I could expose people to covid-19. I don’t know if he is socially challenged or what exactly but if you are going to be a check in staff person, you should be clear in actually being helpful and setting boundaries. I wasn’t interested in playing this game so I left, as he continued to call out if I was sure I didn’t want to go in. Obviously not. I’m not mad I couldn’t go in, I understand that. But this experience just left me feeling really uncomfortable.

Great experience after going to another hospital and not getting any real answers on what was wrong with me . Got my diagnosis and everyone was nice . Only gave 4 stars because I didn't like that you can hear everything . There was a guy screaming and someone vomiting and that's not something good to hear when your already at a panic or feeling nauseous yourself. No privacy in the rooms you can hear everything the next patient next to you is going through whether private conversations or not

First off all, I want to give the thanks to the staff for helped out my baby. But as we were there my baby went through for some "not professional things", we took our baby for an abscess that it grew right under his right ear, they checked it and everything so far so good and then they wanted to do a bloodwork and a nurse started to do her thing with the needle, she told us that it will be fast and hurtless but it wasn't, she stung my baby three times and nothing and then another nurse came in and did it at once at the same spot the other nurse said she couldn't, then they say that the abscess has to be remove as soon as possible so we said Ok, my baby was 6 or almost 7 months old so we thought they will sleep the baby with some local anesthesia you know to handle better with the baby but No they just applied some ointment anesthesia to the affected area and waited an hour and ready to start.. before all these I asked many times if that oitnment would sleep the area enough so the baby won't feel pain and the doctor and nurses said No, he won't feel pain. Anyways he definitely felt a lot of pain after all that process before the dispatch us they wanted to do another bloodwork and guess what? Same thing happen stung in every possible spot and another nurse came in to help and did it at once as well so I didn't understood if they had these nurse in training or what , but don't practice with people's children like they manikin. :(

Wanted to say thank you to all the staff , specially Nurse Lognne at pediatric department ..i was so nervous and scared my 2 yrs old was very sick ..i never met such a positive person like nurse Lognne before she is so professional , very nice to us .

Longer waits waited 3 and half hour because system is down we are writing everything with hands after calling us inside the nurse didnt show up for another 1 and a half hour. Not very Clean. In picture the tape has blood on it and its from previous patient they didnt clean it. Second picture shows how careless they are. Inova fair oaks is best I think this hospital is just a bad experience. Definitely nobody expect it from Inova. but today I think Virginia hospital is very fast and more clean.

My mom drove all the way from dc to get to this hospital if only she knew how bad it was, she should of been taken by ambulance. Everyone there was very nice and professional here, EXCEPT the emergency staff. When she got there the staff at the emergency desk said she didn't look sick and would be charged if there's nothing wrong! My mom had horrible chest pain shooting from her shoulder to her other hip, drove through rush hour traffic to get there and not fake it. My mom had to grab a doctor to get some attention after waiting a half hour. After the cat scan, they found a almost split artery from overlooked HBP, if she was waiting for those incompetent staff at the desk, she could of died right there. I really wished I was there to punch the lady that told my mom needed a real reason to be there though! Though the intensive care part of the hospital were so kind and helpful when I was there and explained to me the procedure so I could leave my mom in their hands and feel comfortable. Since then my mom is well now.

I am so impressed with all the hospital staff because they are so attentive, helpful, supportive and seems to be heart warming and welcoming to you. Parking was easy and offered paid parking tags for you and family. I don’t know why they charge you for parking because it should be free. Panra bread and Starbucks on site, forget ordering from the menu in the rooms. The menu prices in the rooms are expensive.

I went here twice, once on 9/11/13 for kidney stones (which I thought was apendicitis due to the huge amount of pain) and once in March of 15' for bell's palsy. The first time I was in there with my kidney stone I could barely speak due to having so much pain. My fiancee answered all the insurance questions, bless his soul, and took care of me while we waited to see a doctor. It took roughly 30 minutes before I could see a nurse, and roughly an hour and a half before I could see a doctor. During this time I threw up twice from the large amount of pain and honestly thought I was dieing. I received morphine after 2 hours from the time I arrived which the pain was starting to die down from an 11 to a 9 on a pain scale of 1-10. The doctor did determine that it was kidney stones and not apendicistis and the staff was pleasant and friendly, though I was drugged up on morphine so I was pretty loopy lol. The entire process took roughly 8 hours arriving at the hospital at midnight and leaving close by 8 am which is pretty standard for emergency room visits.
My second time arriving at INOVA, I was told by an urgent care clinic to go to the emergency room right away as they were afraid that my Bell's Palsy was a stroke. I never had Bell's Palsy before, and the thought of having a stroke was down right frightful. Arriving at the front desk I told them that I might be having a stroke on the count that I couldn't move half of my face and was in no pain, they rushed me back right away. Honestly this was been the fastest I had ever been in the ER. Again, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable as one of the neurologist said that it might be Bell's Palsy and explained everything. I was in and out after 2 hours which is insanely fast as all my previous ER experiences have been on average about 8 hours.
Bottom line, only go to the hospital if it is life or death, for most cases you can go to an Urgent Care clinic, only go to the ER for a true emergency.
M Stahl
Each visit here has been fast, efficient, and marked by professionalism and compassion from the staff. My family has visited for emergencies a few times and for outpatient surgery twice. This is a great place. Thank you for taking care of us.
ClockySauce
I was airlifted to this hospital. The first ER before I was airlifted informed me that staff here wouldn't really joke with me, and maintain professionalism. Much to my dismay this was true, but the care provided was top notch, except the food and the fact my repeated requests for nicotine patches were denied, but these were very minor inconveniences considering the shape I was in.

Had my baby a year ago, water broke at 27 weeks n was on bed rest for 6weeks and I loved it. Doc Felika King and her team were very wonderful. They gave me all the love and care I needed and doc King is always checking on me n making sure she answers all my questions . I have been through many doctors and Doc Felika King was the best. The hospital is clean n everyone made sure that I was okay. The nurses there were very nice and making sure I smile everyday.

The care you receive at Inova Fairfax hospital depends on where you go. My sister in law has Down Syndrome and congestive heart failure, and ends up in ICU there once or twice a year. The nurses there are not the most attentive and that's disappointing considering the people in that unit are very sick.
On the other hand, we just took my 16 year old daughter to Fairfax Women's and Children's Hospital, which is a part of the larger hospital but seems to be in a completely separate building. The care there was excellent, from the emergency room nurses, doctors (including the surgeon), and techs, to the main floor where Jessica recovered after having her appendix removed. Everyone was great and I recommend this hospital as the best place in the region to take your child if she needs emergency medical services.

As this is my first time ever staying in a hospital overnight, I have no direct equivalent to compare to it. However, I do have a good sense of what good service is. The morning service was excellent. The food is pretty good considering how many different restrictions they have. But as the day wore on, the service got worse. As of right now, I have been waiting three hours to be discharged. Final diagnosis--mediocre.

After having a bad experience on June 1 2017 in the short stay 5th floor original building, I didn't want to come back. My Doctor told me you need blood again, because it was late during the day they send me to Fairfax Hospital. I got a call saying my bed was ready when she told me the room number I asked is that room was located in the original building and she said yes, I asked if there would be a possibility to change it and after sharing my last experience with her,she send me to CCW area and I'm glad she did, I came in worry that I was going to get the same service, but when I got here I was helped by Roxanne the Tech for the day and Mike my nurse. They were so helpful always making sure I felt confortable during my stay and even going the extra mile if they could not accommodate my request. They did all of this with no knowledge of what I had gone few weeks before. I'm not the person that goes on and post my experiences, as a matter of fact this is the first time I turn to social media to commend the people that deserve to be recognized. This hospital should be actively looking for more people like Roxanne and Mike, because when you are not feeling well and find people that go the extra mile to make your stay confortable they deserve to be recognized. Thank you Roxanne and Mike:)

Would give them 1/2 star if I could. Treated like a dog in fact I wouldn’t let my pet stay there! I can’t walk due to stroke they left food tray across room for me to fetch on my own one tray came wout silverware had to eat w hands! No explanations of anything ! Had one person try to correct problem when it happened again it was my fault she only listened to staff. I would never let them touch a loved one of mine. Drs seemed caring but they have horrible bed side manners and explanations I would say stay away. Packed my stuff and was leaving on my own accord when I met a young Man named Timothy who single handedly turned my entire experience!! He should be given a raise and put in charge of patient care. Because of his efforts which were above and beyond he turned around my experience 100% ! He likely saved my life as I was supposed to get a catheter for dialysis and if it was not for his efforts it would not have happened!!!! Thank you Timothy!!

My husband went in for a back injury. The trauma care unit was excellent. These nurses and doctors are the best I've ever experienced! Knowledgeable, patient, and professional!

My experience is with the INOVA Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Program. They are in high demand and I had a very short window of opportunity to see them. They were able to accommodate me and I’m glad they did. Dr Brown and staff are exceptionally well qualified and competent and I highly recommend them for their care and consultation.

After two other failed attempts in other practices to draw blood from my young daughter, I was at my wits end and my poor daughter was hysterical. We then went to Fairfax Hospital (Children's Outpatient) and they were fantastic! We were warmly greeted, helped, escorted, and the lab team including the lab manager, phlebotomists and child life specialist were so incredible in the way that the spoke to her, and got the job done. We literally hugged them when they were done and left relieved and smiling. Thank you for a job well done!

I can only review as a guest, not a patient. It is hard to find the right garage. Blue, green, grey, whatever. Signage could be better outside.
Inside, same thing. This place needs better signage to allow guests to find things like the cafeteria and pharmacy without help.
The support staff moved my rating up one star. Very helpful.

Previously I posted a bad review regarding INOVA Hospital Customer service. However, I talked with another customer service representative named Marcella, I changed my mind and decided to revise the review. She talked very professionally and respectively. Also she was a good listener - First customer service representative, I ever talked to, who listens customers!!. She acted very professional and tried to understand customer's situation in a professional manner.
I want to edit my previous review and changed to a good review with her exceptional customer service.
Originally accounting department messed up my payments but she understood and listened patiently my situation and tried to suggest efficiently and effectively solution.

I had an electrocardioversion at the cardiology unit today and couldn't be happier. Every aspect of this procedure was clearly explained by my nurse Bonnie Jean Lancio. She walked me through every scenario and put me completely at ease. These abilities are what every nurse should strive for. My anesthesiologist Joyce was very professional and made getting an IV inserted fun. The shock treatment did the job and my heart rate is back to normal. Should I ever need to have this procedure again, be assured that it will be at Inova Fairfax.

Each time I come here it never fails I am always attended quite quickly and with help and nice workers. My mom and me have come here since I was literally born we no longer go to any other hospital just this one since it’s helped my family and I so much would 100%recommend
David Lunasco
I can't say enough good things about this hospital. I've been here more times than I care to admit, but every time I've been here the staff has been exemplary. The nursing staff is one of the best I've ever encountered. While I don't have the goal of having an extended stay in a hospital
CMK
Every single nurse has been amazing, my sister is here with a gun shot wound and has had the most amazing care. Each nurse is incredibly attentive and friendly, and it's funny seeing their style of nursing. I can't say enough nice things about the staff here.
Her favorites are Loudes, Gionesia, Kelly, Daniel, Collette and Tip. They are all lighthearted and very good at their job.
The Main Cafe (South Side Cafe) is really good, for hospital food, but you'll be in there a while. The employees are incredibly slow, nice... but slow. There's a smaller Cafe in the Heart & Vascular center but it's mostly the same items as the SSC.
Plus, there is a crow that lands on a box outside her window every day and it's really quite nice. While most people consider them to be a bad omen, I know how smart they are and quite like them. We enjoy seeing him (bc somehow it had become a male), and jokingly comment that he is checking on her when he stops by.

Dr's Getachew and Chaffa (Resident), and Nurse Tamika (had a few good laughs with her) were absolutely amazing. They made me feel extremely comfortable under the circumstances. I wholeheartedly appreciate their hard work and dedication. Also appreciate Dr. Getachew's follow-up phone call post discharge. Great team, keep up the good work!

Staff at the ER beginning with the front desk, the nurses and doctor were professional and very courteous. Every concern was addressed by the doctor and nurses. We really appreciated the professionalism and caring the staff at INOVA Fairfax ER provided us!

I have never had a complaint about Fairfax I’ve had my babies there, and been seen in the ER a handful of times never have a received bad service. Definitely recommend it, the staff and doctors are all amazing and friendly. Best hospital!!!

The staff at INOVA Fairfax Hospital is Excellent! Everyone is Extremely Helpful and Extremely Professional! Whenever I or a family 👪 member has been sick 🤮 or injured, we have Always been taken care of and treated with kindness and respect! …
Brandon T. Luong
The place seems clean and nice, but a few of the doctors may be questionable in their recommendations. Paying for the garage is expensive, but luckily you can buy the visitor parking ticket at a lower price. As far as hospitals go, this one isn't creepy during the night, and most of the nurses are friendly. If you had to go to a hospital in NOVA, I would choose this one.
Zakirullah Omerkhail
Inova hospital has been one of the best health services providers I have ever been. Thanks to the great nurses who helped me. Please find them ( nurses ), they are really life saving angels. Thanks INOVA!!!
Marilee Housden
My husband has pancreatitis, diabetes, and very high blood pressure. Our local hospital transferred him to Inova after 24 hours because he needed a higher level of care. Everyone is helping to provide excellent care
Barbara West
My husband was admitted recently for treatment after diagnosed with right lung pneumonia at the nearby AEHS Annandale Urgent Care. He received wonderful care from the nursing staff, the hospital doctors, and the pulmonologist. We are very glad to have both the Fairfax Hospital and the urgent care in the community.
Jamie H.
Emergency room staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable! Everyone dreads going to the ER, knowing long wait times and unpredictable service can happen but everyone at Inova Fairfax was awesome and it was a pretty quick turn- around.
Ahmad Mujtaba Sabri
the MRI staff are amazing. Would like to thank Stepheni, Tiffany Minehart, Susan and Cameron Mulloy who are doing an awesome job everyday. keep up the wonderful attitude.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy surgical procedure on the 4th of January 2018. The procedure went very well and I would like to thank INOVA Fairfax Women's Hospital for the great care they provided. Everyone I came across was very helpful; they were angels sent at the right time. This is an excellent hospital and I highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you again and God bless you all!

The Inova hospital is breathtaking I was very impressed with the structure of the building. The design was well executed by a great designer. I was hospitalized for a week at Inova hospital. The nurses were more caring than other nurses in hospitals I been hospitalized. I was actually impressed with the hard work the nurses put to make your stay pleasant and heal fast. I believe that the nurses in Inova should get pay better because they are incredible. I been hospitalized at the Virginia hospital in Arlington V.A and sincerely they cannot be compare to the nurses in Inova. The nurses in Virginia hospital should adopt the Inova nurses work ethics.
They Inova nurses are compassionate caring, sweet, soft spoken loving, something I haven't experienced in no other hospital ever. My overall review is that Inova hospital is so far the best hospital compare to others. The Inova hospital should be in a magazine and the tittle to best hospital in the entire Virginia. I have something important to share for the patients who had bad experience with Inova or any other hospital. Please never assume that doctors are God, I'm a tiger and in charge since I step my foot inside any hospital. I'm nice but stern when I speak, if the nurse is rude I blast her inmediatelly with how I feel the way she is conducting he or she professionally. It's important to ask questions such as why is this and that. Please if you get treated unfairly you take the nurse name and file a complaint. That will stay in their records something they avoid like a plague. I hope this information is useful and will hell you in the future. DEAR INOVA HOSPITAL OWNER. I WAS HOSPITALIZED THERE FROM 12/12/ 2019 TO 12/19/2019. MY STAY WAS PLEASANT BUT TODAY JANUARY 2, 2020 I CALL BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T SEND THE BLOOD TEST AND MY TREATMENT TO FOLLOW UP WITH PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. I SIGN A CONSENT FORM WHILE I WAS HOSPITALIZED THERE WITH THE INFORMATION OF MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. I BEEN IN INOVA HOSPITAL BEFORE AND THEY HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION ALREADY ON THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. THE MANAGEMENT NEED TO BE IMPROVED BECAUSE THEY SWITCH ME SIX TIMES, CAUSING SEVERE STRESS. I LOST MY MOTHER TWO WEEKS BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND MY SISTER ON THANKSGIVING DAY. TODAY I HAVE A SISTER IN A COMA IN CHICAGO AFTER FINDING OUT ABOUT THE DEATH OF TWO FAMILY MEMBERS. I FEEL VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THEY WAY THEY SWITCH ME FROM ONE PERSON TO THE OTHER ONE. I STARTED CRYING AND THE STAFF PERSON THAT FINALLY DESIDE TO HELP ME, TOLD ME TO CALL LATER UNTIL I COMPOSED MYSELF BECAUSE I WAS CRYING. NOT EVERYTHING THAT SHINE IS GOLD AND YOUR HOSPITAL IS BEAUTIFUL BUT THE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS HORRIFIC. I HOPE THAT YOU CAN FIXED THIS ISSUE BECAUSE SINCE I GOT DISCHARGE I GAVE A GOOD REVIEW WITH PICTURES INSIDE AND OUT. THE HOSPITAL HAS ALREADY HAS MORE THAN 14,000 VIEWS AND THERE'S NO WAY I WILL LIE. I START FROM THE INSIDE AND EVERY DEPARTMENT IN INOVA HOSPITAL. I HOPE YOU EXCUSE MY CAPS BUT I BEEN CRYING SINCE THE MANAGEMENT WERE UNABLE TO DELIVER. MY BLOOD PRESSURE RISES QUICKLY IN STRESSFUL SITUATIONS SUCH AS THIS ONE I JUST MENTION.
THANK YOU

My life was saved here. There are many pretentious, spoiled people in this area, hence all the negative reviews. This is a hospital, not a hotel. To call this place advanced is understating the truth: among the experiments I was involved in during my stay, was an experiment where doctors used blood samples to determine what a patient's dream content was! Amazing!

6 out of 5 stars and then some as we had our baby there in July and then unexpectedly brought our middle child back for a broken leg, just a week later. Top notch facilities and even better expert cordial service!

They (including divine help from God) saved my Dad's life. He had a heart attack and 2 cardiac arrest and did not breath for 15 minutes. He was transferred to the worst hospital in MD where he almost died. While at that hospital, he was not responding to commands and he was there for almost two weeks. Finally, we took a risk (he was not really stable) and transferred him to INOVA hospital. WOW!! It was like night and day between INOVA and the DARKSIDE (darth vader voice). Within a week, he was responding to commands and two weeks later, he was in rehab. Now my Dad walks and talks like nothing happened. Thank God and the skilled Doctors and Nurses at INOVA!!
Brittney McCauley
The pediatric doctors, nurse and the ultrasound radiology department where all so nice and where there every second. But the ER front staff is not so nice I did let know how I felt about them

I don't know what else could make this hospital better, it is already 5 stars service to me. I have delivered a baby in this hospital twice already. Love it!!! Everything! Will go there again for the next delivery no doubt.

A very nice hospital. New, quiet, staffs: ie. from the nurses to the staffs who clean the room, who serve the food, doctors are all good, and accommodating.

Our family had 2 babies born here and the most recent was in the new building. There is a Panera inside here and the cafeteria food is good. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful.

Pleasant staff, most are private rooms, large facility but could use more signage. Unclear where to park when visiting friends, then once in buildings can be a challenge to find rooms /area you need

I have been going to this hospital for almost 10 years now since my twin kids born, all 3 of us had health issues and we still follow up with physicians and surgeons there, we had great experience, they have great doctors/ nurses and workers everybody treat you with care , there NICU team are awesome my son was there back in 2010 and in all 10 years experience we only had one problem was with one of the Pediatric surgeons and the hospital did not handle it very well, but i still believe it's one of the best hospitals!

I know nothing is perfect, but this hospital is very close to perfection. The big problem preventing perfection are a few people that work there.Such as a case manager who was an irritation especially to my mom on top of the pain she alrady had,by being very unprofessional in the ways she gives information, she is the worst experience i have had in the hospital, all i know she is not the right fit to be a case manager.Another problem was a female nurse partioner of the oncology team, who luckly visited us only once but said "this is not hotel fairfax you can't stay here",I mean who says that to someone in a lot of pain and unable to stand on their feet.If I should mention names dr Kumar is the greatest doctor, who did all in his power to make my moms discharge safe. The nurses, techs, food service, housekeeping and Chaplin make peoples day with the smiles on their faces.

Some say doctorin, it is a river
That nurses the tender reeds
Some say Dr. Ahmad, he is a giver
Part of INOVA’s transplant’s perfect seeds
Some say INOVA, feeds the hungered
With the endless love they need
And like Nurse Michelle, a beautiful healer
They too plant that perfect seed
This team fought past our son’s lungs forsaken
Even though his body could dance
And our dream you’ve given a waking
And given our son a second chance
And for this care, and some cryin
We see you just give and give
And each day you fight back for the dying
And give your best that your patients might live
And often the nights for them get lonely
And their recoveries seem so long
And worried parents think that love is only
From their hearts that beat so strong
But we have learned this very winter
What lays beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seeds of INOVA’s transplant team’s love
And In the spring, our son will hold a rose
Love the entire transplant team at INOVA!!!!

Large, modern hospital with some of the most advanced medical facilities in the Northern Virginia area. Parking is not free however, unlike the other Inova locations

Attentive and helpful staff. Spacious interior with wide vistas outside. The facility has also got playground(s) and convention areas with convenient parking lot.

Never a great place to have to be, but my family had two trips to the E.R. this week. Both times we were treated courteously and reasonably quickly.
Kaitlyn Lucas
Great place, very friendly people and very professional. Only complaint is that the therapists and case worker/manager should be in contact with the parent or guardian more.

They do a great job in taking care of my dad. From all of the Inova locations Fairfax is by far the best!
