Had to get emergency surgery here and was there for 4 days, they took very good care of me and my room was comfortable and clean. I am terrified of hospitals so I'm very happy to have had so many great nurses and doctors looking after me.

I am very happy. and I would definitely recommend Advent health to anyone asking my opinion, and they bring a "birthday" cake along with a special festive meal for 2 to celebrate your new baby.

This was my second delivery at this hospital and it was an even better experience than before. I was very blessed to have the same doctor for delivery and the same nurses in the woman and baby unit. Courtney and Kaitlin took really great care of me and my baby. They were very attentive and respectful. The techs Taylor and Lily were great also. My delivery nurse, Sammy, was amazing. It was her first shift on the floor but you could tell she was very experienced. She was diligent in everything she did and very supportive. She let me do skin to skin as long as I wanted and squeeze her arm during contractions getting my epidural. I noticed the hospital changed their food ordering procedures and now the staff takes your next order in person when they drop off the current meal. This is such an improvement compared to calling, the ringing of the phone really stressed me out before. Both of my rooms were clean and comfortable.

I was a little nervous about coming due to the reviews, but I had to choose quickly. My baby girl was sick with a high fever; I had to take her into the children's section and had such a great experience. We ended being admitted, and the nurses have been like family, super sweet on top of her vitals, cleanliness was up to par they have been very concerned. If we were hungry, thirsty, cold gave us privacy during the night time, and when they did have to come in, they came in quietly and respectfully thank you so much. They provided my daughter with a tablet and toys :)

I am currently a patient at Advent Health in Tampa. I am in the intensive Therapy unit and am very pleased with my therapy, nursing and medical care. My family is on the East coast of Florida, but I feel I made the right decision to stay here. I don’t know what my final outcome will be, but I do believe everyone is working in my best interest to facilitate my recovery. I’m started out on the 3rd floor Main and also felt I had good care there. I have faith and hope that my doctors have me on the right plan. I would recommend this hospital. Thank you all for the love, attention and professional and capable care I am receiving. Would prefer a private room and that would have been 5 stars, but most important is the care I am receiving.

I would like to express my gratitude from another healthcare worker to these healthcare workers outstanding peds floor nurses and techs,doctors. Thank you so much taking very good care of my little one. Bedside matters was outstanding. Kristi,Grace,Marcia,Latanya,Beatriz,Dr.Kumar,Dr.Bergman and De. And our child life specialist Michelle thank you so much for being our advocate. My little has autism as well. I can’t thank them enough. Job well done! Her hospital stay was great! We had an amazing experience with the RN Loretta on C6 over the last two days! My brother is an autistic adult, and she was EXTREMELY kind, accommodating, and patient with him during his first hospitalization. She was friendly, personable, respectful of his sensory needs, and she really took her time to explain things to him. Thank you for everything you do Loretta! We had an amazing first experience at an Advent hospital because of you. We can not thank you enough!

I absolutely love the new facility. It’s beautiful. The art work is gorgeous. Regina, who registered me was so precious. She was comforting and helpful. She had such a great attitude. The woman that did my procedure was kind and explained everything she was doing. That was comforting.

Admittance and registration was so badly disorganized to the point they nearly got my procedure canceled. They never even informed endoscopy of my arrival. I just sat downstairs at the "registration" section. If the nurse hadn't called me directly and come to get me, I'd have sat there for hours and not been seen at all - my critical cancer biopsy would have been delayed. The nurse told me as much. But the absolute worst (ever) was the experience I had with the endoscopy nurse admitting staff once they called and had me go to their rooms. One in particular was sarcastic, combative even, disrespectful and highly impatient. I had the distinct impression she regarded me as an idiot worthy of her unkindness and callous ire. Don't they realize their incoming patients are already likely to be anxious and on-edge, and that they're the first impression the patients have of their procedure? I literally sat there for the next hour seething and unnecessarily more anxious than when I arrived Other than that, the anesthesiologist and endoscopic doctors actually performing the procedure were outstanding. I was very happy with them - both their bedside manner, their communications before and after and the procedure performed. Five stars, there. Still, my first two hours there were so dismally bad I hope I never have to go back.

No other hospital has taken care of me as great as Advent Hospital. Thanks to respiratory, and all nursing staff, and all techs. Thank you once again for an uplifting stay at your facility. The best place to take your child. The staff is so gentle and sweet to the children. They try and do anything to make your child feel comfortable and safe. I absolutely love it. I'm daughter is terrified of doctors. But when she came here she didn't even freak out once they kept her calm the entire time. Love love it. I was there 9/9/22 with miss lily

I was very impressed with my visit for a Radiology procedure. The staff was all friendly and welcoming from the start at the Valet parking to the point when we left. We were even greeted as we walked in the halls as we passed employees. The Radiology Dept staff were excellent and caring. They kept me informed throughout the procedure.

This outpatient procedure was scheduled earlier than normal (due to a timely cancellation for another patient). Advent called me to preregister with a upbeat rep, processed quickly. The day of the procedure we arrived just before the time we scheduled and after a brief wait I was starting the process to be anesthetized. All went well and the rolled me to the or and before I knew it, I was in recovery. Yup, a lot of stuff happening for a biopsy that went at the expected pace. The staff were professional and friendly.

So thankful. My mom had an accident on Christmas and had surgery with Dr. Cooper at the AdventHealth Tampa hospital. The whole team was great. Very nice nurses and staff. Very comfortable rooms, looks very luxurious and amazing to have one person room. It is very modern and thankful they did a fantastic job during a difficult time. Thanks so much for everything

The facility is absolutely beautiful and clean. It makes you feel like you are checking in on a cruise ship or 5 star resort. The staff and doctors at 5 am were friendly and kind and genuinely seem so happy! There is actually a baby grand piano in the lobby playing beautiful music. What a great place to come to for healing.

Delivered my 1st baby here. Everyone (minus a nurse or two) from the security guards to the Dr’s & nursing staff to the lovely ladies who bring up the meals was fantastic. I ended up staying longer than expected and my baby boy was in the NICU for about a week. They took such great care of him & worked WITH me to make sure he was getting the best of what he needed. Not once did I feel unsure or uneasy about the care he was receiving. I’m so grateful for everyone involved in his birth and both of our recovery… If wondering what hospital you’re choosing for delivery? I highly recommend the woman’s pavilion.

Service was wonderful. 5 stars. They took great care of my 3 yo daughter who was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia and had to be admitted overnight. The staff and the care was top notch. Everyone was so great. Even the check in and triage was the best! They got us checked in so fast, triaged right away, and bc her oxygen was low, got her back in to a room, all in under 30 min. I felt like we were in good hands the whole time. Even the food and nutrition staff were amazing! The nurses, the techs, the doctors. Everyone! I will not hesitate to choose this location again the next time we are in need. We love this location!

Delivered both my kids at the Womens Pavilion and I don’t have anything negative to say. All the nurses were very nice and accommodating. The room was a nice size, & they bring you a “birth”day cake with a special celebration meal for 2 to celebrate your new baby. I don’t have another hospital to compare them to, but I would definitely recommend AdventHealth to anyone asking my opinion.

My first time at AdventHealth and it was a wonderful experience for me. The hospital is very clean, the nurses, and staff were all wonderful professional with great attitudes which made me feel at home. I was admitted through the ER after a 14hr wait. I've been admitted a few times for the same chronic condition that needs treatment when it gets acute. Once the proper Drs were notified, my treatment plan went well. I felt like a person vs a number, and the nurses were good too. They could use a little practice starting IVs when a patient has veins that roll.

As much as a mammogram can be pleasant, my visit to the Kay Meyer Breast Care Center was outstanding. Every person through out the process was pleasant and very efficient, especially Ann, the technician who actually did the procedure. She was very efficient and explained the process and what she was doing while being friendly and calming. She was a bright spot in my day!

Arrived at Advent Health Tampa at 5 AM for total knee surgery. Surgeon Seith Cooper finished the procedure around 11 AM. PT folks came a short time later to make sure I was able to ambulate with a walker and urinate. Had a bit of trouble with the urinate business but I succeeded and the recovery nurse ordered radiology around noon to take some X-rays so I could go home. Numerous calls followed to Radiology with a simple response that "they are on their way". Finally showed up around 4:00 to take two images. My wife was finally called to join me around 4:15. We proceeded home shortly after that. What I discovered after we got home was that this delay caused my wife to be very concerned about my well-fare. The waiting room nurses kept telling her she could join me soon. About 4 PM my wife realized she had Dr. Cooper's cell phone number so she called him for help. That is when the radiology folks got busy. Sitting in the waiting room not knowing anything about my surgery while all other patients left was very troubling for my wife and she is still upset and bone tired from the inexcusable delay we experienced by the radiology department. Doctor Cooper and the nursing staff were wonderful and the procedure would have been exceptional if radiology had been more responsive. Somebody should take a look at the process, because patients and family members don't deserve such lax and poor performance by a respected and efficient hospital and surgical staff. If not for this, I would have been glad to give a five star rating to Advent Health Tampa.

The accommodations were beautiful. Every thing in the room was new except for no bathroom door in my room. The Tv was new, the blinds lifted automatically. The food was decent except for some horrible strawberry jello that tasted like glue. My nurses were professional and the Dr.’s were good. The waiting for the reading of a test result by a radiologist took forever and I was not allowed out until after 9:00 pm.

Wonderful nurses a great place to go for excellent care. The whole staff keep me informed on my progress and how I was doing. That really took the stress level of being in the hospital down.The hospitality helped me with my meals (can’t eat a lot of food).

Excellent! Was treated like a VIP the second I got to the Sleep Study Center. Attentive Staff stayed one on one with me until I was completely comfortable, Answering all my questions along the way while explaining the process. Large clean room with queen size adjustable bed and Private bathroom. Quiet comfortable stay.

The entire process was excellent. The intake nurse was extremely friendly, catered to my needs and explained what to expect. The staff assigned from that point exhibited great care, concern and treated me with respect and feeling. The entire experience, though traumatizing, was softened by the behavior of all who participated.

The nurses were fine..however, a little notice before you stick me for a blood draw and decide it will be my iv port would have been great. I would have asked for different arm & location. How it was led me to a sleepless night because I basically could not get comfortable. I suspect I left a phone charger plugged in the wall and the desk person on 6Main wouldn't check...just said cleaning people get everything. Very dismissive. A lot of different info coming from so many people...it is somewhat confusing.

I have had some of the best care I've had in a while. I want to thank all the nurses and all the techs for all the Care they have given me and making sure I get well quick. Security was awful. When I pulled up to the door around 12:30 am, there was a man who kept approaching my car and would not go away despite me telling him to get away from my car multiple times. I called security for assistance. They told me to just get out and walk in with my child. I said I can’t because this man keeps approaching my car. I had to insist they come address the situation. They finally did address the strange man and when I asked for a guard to walk me in they were completely rude to me, again, telling me to just walk in despite the fact that there were 3 security guards having to yell at this man. I insisted someone escort us in so we wouldn’t get caught up in the confrontation less than 20 feet from where we were trying to enter. It was completely ridiculous. They were insensitive to the fact that I was trying to enter the building with a child, they spoke to me rudely the entire time I was on the phone with them, and they completely minimized the situation and level of potential danger this individual could have caused. I’m confused as to why these people work in security if they do not desire to be helpful to the citizens seeking help at this hospital. It appears they need a security staff.

Greatest healthcare ever. Super professional Doctors and Nurses. They saved my life. Dr. Armstrong was very family friendly. I don like hospitals but they made me feel at home. I was very surprised when some Christian nurses asked if they could pray over me. Being a Christian myself I was more than delighted. Prayer is the best medicine. If I needed to go to the hospital again I would go there.

This place didn't remind me of a hospital it reminded me of a beautiful getaway. Extra clean, beautiful and professional. The staff as well. God blessed me and my family with this place to do a double mastectomy. I was terrified and almost didn't do it and they all helped me relax and I'm healed.

The only problem I didn't have insurance and my meds was very expensive I haven't received them as of yet. I was told to go back to the hospital and inquire but I had just left there. I loved the Hospital, and all the nurses that took care me after my procedure were very knowledgeable and caring. I have the greatest Doctor ever. Dr Lefler and His whole team are top notch. I loved the Prayer time twice a Day. I would recommend this Hospital any time I get a chance.

I had a c-section here on 12/10. From start to finish my experience was so positive. I was nervous as can be but all the nurses helping out made sure to attempt to keep me calm. Specially nurse Morgan, who would help me breathe through contractions & always remind me that everything was gonna be okay. She even went as far as letting me everything that was going on so I wouldn’t be so scared. Also, Alicia who was one of my night time nurses who helped me so much with my baby & answered all my questions. Dr. Rashada was AMAZING, she explained everything beforehand, & even kept me up to date with what was going on throughout surgery. All these nurses & doctors made me feel like they really cared about the well being of my baby & I. There are no words for the appreciation I have towards them on such a big/special day for me. Thank you from baby Olivia, Bryan & I ❤️

The ER was a nightmare. I waited in a crowd of people for 6+hours after getting an IV port. I was in pain and nauseated 🤢. Absolutely worst experience of 6+hours on uncomfortable seating. Admitted and the staff was very accommodating. Consulting specialist took a while to coordinate. General doctor was attentive to my case, so I appreciate his efforts coordinating my treatment for 3days. I'm on my journey to recovery.

they took me in pretty quick to check the status of my heart rate. But to actually get in and see a doctor for my dizziness was approximately two hours and then when I was committed, it took me another two hours to get a room other than that everything went very well and everyone was very courteous and helpful.

All the staff were kind and courteous. I had major surgery and the day after major surgery a patient is not always in the best of moods because of pain. Even though the nurses are always extremely busy they never made me feel like they didn't have time for me. When I first regained consciousness, I remember my mouth being so dry I could hardly stand it but there wasn't anything I could do about it. It's a horrible feeling of helplessness. One of the nurses came in and fed me Jello. When you're lying in a hospital bed tethered to IVs and unable to move, in horrible pain, and hardly able to swallow, this simple act of kindness was more important to me than she'll ever know. Thank you to everyone who cared for me.

I had an awesome care team my ER nurse was Bre and she was so sweet and caring thank you for being so nice I was then admitted and overseen by the day travel nurse Lauryn and her Patient Care Tech Qadir both were very caring and so nice I then had a night care team the nurses were so sweet and friendly and made my stay more pleasant. Most importantly everything discussed as part of my treatment plan was followed up with unfortunately I may have succumbed to some rare unknown virus 🦠 it’s hard to say but the hospital physicians tested me for just about all the most common pathogens and ran literally everything diagnostic test possible. They also prepped me for the endoscopy which did clear up some of my stomach symptoms I do feel some type of relieve I haven’t had before. What makes my experience a four star and not a five star is I was originally transported from stand alone Brandon Advent since I now live in Valrico and unfortunately there are no closer AdventHealth Hospitals yet. It will be great when the Riverview hospital opens as there was a massive overcrowding at the Tampa Hospital. It took a very long time for a bed to open up part of a healing experience to a patient can be having a bed and a room more equipped to helping one heal and having a more personalized care team. Once transferred to the inpatient rooms my care plan was administered rapidly and I was given the individual attention I needed. Big thanks to Dr Ali as well One major thing I’d change is expanding inpatient and ER beds so many people have moved to the Tampa region and I’ve seen the hospitals becoming so overwhelmed with this influx in the population. For this reason I’m glad their building more hospitals to help reduce overcrowding and so physicians and Nurses aren’t so overwhelmed with demand.

Nurses and everyone were great during my stay and I didn’t stay longer than I needed to BUT my bill got sent to collections after a month or 2 with no notice they were going to send it. Needless to say I was very frustrated when I found out. Their payment plans were too high for me to pay off my bill and couldn’t do anything about it.

Everyone was very prompt and friendly. They handled everything on time and were very proficient at their jobs. The pre op was a different story. They ask you to sign in on the phone ahead which I did 2 xs. Taking pics of license & health care info only to be asked for all of it. The ask you to come 15 min early. I came 20 min early but they don't take you till the time.It was empty the waiting room so that didn't make sense. When nurse came to get me she called my name and walked away. I said " Would you like me to follow you ?" Yes she said. Not greeting me with hello how are you ? Very sullen. Never communicated just sat down and typed ignoring me then asked questions. Perhaps she was having a bad day. It was very uncomfortable tho..not friendly at all. Then takes me out to lobby and says sit down there, you need chest xray. Didn't know that and sat 1 hour ni one checking in w me. Another person said they had been waiting for a Cat scan for husband for an hour and 20 min and she said she was laying on couch it was so long. Husband in wheelchair. summing up..it could have been total 1 hour not 2 hours.15 min.I finally went to front desk and asked when someone would get me Did they forget me & the couple...I also asked for a blanket as I was freezing.

I've been treated for blood clots after my hip replacement, heart and blood pressure checks and the latest with my small intestine blockage. Advent Health has helped me tremendously with their service. They are truly professionals from the first nurse to the last doctor.

Went in to Advent Hospital for abdominal surgery on 12/22/22 and I couldn’t be more impressed. Aside from the fact that the hospital is as visually welcoming as a 5- star resort. The people I encountered were top notch as well. From the moment I arrived and was greeted at the entrance every step on my surgery was extremely smooth. Registration & Pre-op waiting areas are comfortable and well designed to accommodate my spouse who had accompanied me. There are work stations with laptop & phone charging stations, comfortable furniture with room to stretch out, not crammed in hard narrow chairs like most hospitals. The nursing staff during pre-op, anesthesiologist team, and my surgeon were caring, considerate and willing to listen to concerns. I woke up in a private room which was again well thought out and designed similar to a luxury hotel than a hospital. As if that experience wasn’t enough I was blessed with the sweetest most compassionate nurse I’ve ever encountered in any of my many procedures, Ciarra D., went out of her way to make sure I and my wife were comfortable, informed and knowledgeable about what the future would hold on my road to recovery. With individual work stations right outside my door and a low patient count per nurse, I received the best care I’ve ever received. It was a great experience from the moment I walked in right to the point Ciarra escorted me out on day 2 after being discharged. I don’t look forward to other procedures, but if I require one I know exactly where I am going.

My daughter was Bayflighted to this Pediatric ICU from an ER in Wesley Chapel. She was in septic shock and in critical condition. From the moment we arrived, we received nothing short of stellar care. Dr. Stryjewski's immediate actions STRAIGHT UP saved my child's life. We spent 7 days in the PICU with fantastic nurses (Jen at the helm). They always made us feel comfortable and at ease, knowing that our child was receiving the best care possible. I would like to thank the crew of doctors and nurses from the bottom of my heart. They were truly wonderful. God forbid your child ever need this kind of care. But if they do, this is the Pediatric Unit you want them treated in.

Preop check in with Paula was quick and easy. The day of surgery things went extremely easy and smooth. The surgery gowns are my only complaint. They’re hot and have like plastic that sticks to you.

Pre op was excellent but I was sent home with no after procedure order. After surgery even though I was groggy I really didn't feel valued by post op nurse. I also have had over 10 colonoscopy over the years and have always received a follow-up phone call a day or so after the procedure. Because I was groggy I'm not giving you less stars.

I was left alone in your ER room where your pee container over flowed on me I laid in it for more than 5 hours until your night staff came on and the tech emptied it. I was sent up stairs when I stood up urain was dripping off me. Leaving me feeling heart broken and in pain. However the nurses on the 5th floor where the best took care of ever need I had and more

I have made great strides in my recovery from open heart surgery thanks to the advent rehab program. I would like to mention some of the people who were extremely helpful and very professional. DEE DEE, ANGELA, JACKLYN, MELISSA, MAUREEN, RICK, SHAWN, AND CAARN. I would also recommend that a second rehab location be established in the Riverview or Sun city area. My trip from Sun City and back is 70 miles. With the price of gas such as it is, it's. Rather expensive. However it was worth it. I'm feeling much stronger and .ore like my old self again. Had to visit the emergency room for a non-life threatening problem. They ended up checking me in was going to release me the following day but the hospital went on a lockdown because of the hurricane so had to ride the hurricane out and the hospital which was a good place if you had to. They had extra people to cover the shifts during the lockdown I really have to give great kudos to the staff on the 6th floor during the hurricane very professional people you have hired hopefully everyone that was on the sixth floor and the fifth floor when they move me that an event health will give them a thumbs up and I thank you for appreciation they were on point on their job explained everything clearly you got some good people working for you. They had to move me to the 5th floor Midway through the lockdown and they need to get just as much kudos appreciation and a couple things as well they were also on point explained everything answered every question and there was not one person that I thought was doing a mediocre job or a good job they all did a great job thank you very much. This Advent health hospital was on the corner of Bruce b downs and Fletcher. Hopefully no one gets sick enough to have to go to the hospital however if so you will get great care from the staff.

Without a doubt, the nicest group of people I've dealt with in a long time. Staff is awesome. They go out of their way to make sure that comfortability is happening. All the tests get done well. The treatment was done well. I can't say enough about the doctor and his staff. Hope that had never have to go back lol but if I have to they would certainly be my first choice. They are AWESOME!

I went to the ER because I had been in a traffic accident. I had been checked out right after the accident but two weeks later I was having a headache, high blood pressure and swelling on my face and head. I went to get my head checked to make sure nothing was going on. Everyone was wonderful except for the er doctor. He was very rude because they had called him in to check my head on a Saturday night. I usually have had a pleasant experience at the Wesley Chapel location, but this doctors attitude was rude and uncalled for in my opinion. Luckily I just had swelling and they didn't find anything seriously wrong. I give everyone there a good score except the er doctor that deserves low score due to his rude bedside manner.

I have been going to PT Solutions in South Lakeland for about 5 weeks. Andrew is my therapist and he does a fantastic job at keeping me on point without hurting myself. He's not judgemental and he sits and talk with me as to where I am in therapy and where I need to be and how to get there. Everything he shows me is not just for the benefit of my right knee, but it helps all around. Andrew is a very pleasant young man and he seems to have your welfare at heart.

I have been there a few times after I had a mammogram a year ago and October and I had a lump in my left breast I then went to Kay Meyer breast center for a biopsy and other tests they were very very kind to me caring and explained everything Dr. Burke was amazing she did my procedure and then sent me to a surgeon and from there I had a treatment plan with eight months of chemo 21 radiation treatments and then back to Kay Meyer for a due Mammogram and right breast I will return there in March for the mammogram on my left breast I was very fortunate they were on top of everything I only had to have a lump back to me my tumor is gone and my lymph nodes are clear I had all my treatments at Florida Cancer I’m still getting key Truda Infusions at Florida Cancer.I will always return 2 Kay Meyer breast center they are amazing💜💜💜

My experience here was absolutely wonderful. I was admitted 4/14/22 & my son was born 4/15/22. All the staff I encountered was very professional and friendly, two of the nurses Jen and Lisa especially. Just returned home after fevers led us to visit the AdventHealth Tampa Pediatric ER. We were immediately registered and taken back to a room. RNs Vicky and Ariel were wonderful. They both showed kindness and patience when my daughter asked to “count to 10” at least five different times and then started counting backwards to avoid a swab for strep. Dr. Rosa was amazing-she saw us right away and ordered exactly what was necessary to diagnose my daughter. She spent an ample amount of time with us explaining her thought process and professional opinions which made me feel very comfortable with her plan of care. She ordered testing that resulted in a diagnosis for my daughter, ordered targeted antibiotics and we were sent home after a few short hours. My daughter is already improving. An added bonus is that the rooms have a projector and different color lighting options which is a great distraction. Thanks to a great team for providing us with excellent care and meaningful attention.

I checked in April 24 following back surgery at St. Joseph's. Everyone there, from neurosurgeon to therapists insisted I was an ideal candidate for "acute rehab." Rather than 45 min per day with traditional rehab, "acute rehab" includes THREE HOURS of therapy each day! In Tampa, there are only two providers of this level of care: Tampa General and AdventHealth. A room was available here, and that was my lucky day! Nursing care was as expected: many WONDERFUL nurses and techs who actually LISTENED when the patient described pain or warned "the pros" of DANGEROUS body positioning, DANGEROUS transfer technique, things the neurosurgeon and the therapists warned against. There were a few BIG, painful disappointments who just did what they wanted in spite of my frantic warnings. (Need some retraining soon.) Stay away from ALL HOSPITALS (including this one) if you're hoping for more than four or five hours of sleep each night. However, I was here for rehab and that experience was PHENOMENAL! During an unusually long stay, both Occupational and Physical Therapy pushed me (lovingly) to accomplish much more than I had hoped for, based on earlier experience at an ordinary rehab facility. Despite several BIG setbacks during my stay, progress was such that my ambulance trip home from here TODAY was painless and joyful. (My trip from surgery TO HERE was moaning misery every foot of the way. Even corridor trips and elevator rides that were once excruciatingly painful gave no discomfort today!) Now, I know how to make my life pain free, and I fully expect to do so in the next few months, thanks to the acute rehab folks at AdventHealth Tampa. My many new friends here helped restore my ability to do my own washing, dressing, and daily care. They helped me become proficient transferring between bed, walker, wheelchair, car. They taught me how to reduce my (sometimes noisily severe) non-surgical pain. They retrained my nerves and muscles TO WALK. Best of all, they taught my wife and me how to continue to progress in the coming weeks. Priceless. Many, many people deserve mention. However, I especially want to THANK those in therapy who I worked with most: Pam, Megan, Priya, Zach, Cassie, Alicia, Rodney, and Olga. I'm glad to be gone, but I'll miss these dear people. But the torture I was put through during the catherization procedure has scarred me so bad I will no ever trust a doctor again when they say I will awake but sedated. I delivered my other son two years ago, out of state, at a nationally known hospital & this delivery/care from Advent Health Tampa has exceeded that experience up north. I receive follow up phone calls from the lactation consultants, the hospital and the practice where my doctor is to check in on how I’m doing at home with my newborn. While there I had a problem with the osteomy bag . No one knew that there was supposed an adapter between the overnight bag and the belly bag. I spent the week getting bed linen changed and my gown and having urine cleaned from the floor. This happened at least a half a dozen times a day.

My little one was not feeling well and I needed to take her to the ER (Since every urgent care and MD office never wants to see patients anymore should you cough once). Looking around for a children's ED online, I chose AdventHealth Tampa. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and nursing staff. The outside campus and lobby were quite clean. We were taken back to a very child friendly exam room. After a few minutes of waiting, the provider came in to ask a few questions and explained everything that was going to happen. Skipping to the end... Though thankfully un-eventful, the staff performed to the max. I will be back for any of my children's emergent needs.

I’m currently in the hospital and the day shift nurses have a nasty demeanor to the point I’m afraid to ask for anything. They don’t acknowledged you and refuse to update the orientation board so you know who’s caring for you. I asked my nurse to and she walked out without doing so. She actually acts like I disgust her but you know some people have that skin complex so I don't say much and pray for 7p night shift has been great. I just gave birth via c section on 11/2 at this hospital. I was first scheduled to deliver at Tampa general but then heard about this hospital and their maternity ward and how well patients were being treated . Before my surgery I was extremely nervous, I was shaking and crying non stop . Everyone in the o.r saw and had conversations with me that led to me smiling . I must say everyone who works in the maternity ward was super friendly and they went above and beyond every day while I was there to make sure me and my family was comfortable. Lillian not sure if I spell her name correctly but the few times she came to my room she was very attentive. You can see that she loves what she does and to her it’s not just a job but she actually care about the patients she comes in contact with. All the nurses were nice and they made sure I was comfortable. Don’t remember all their names . I’ve never been to a hospital where all the staff night and day was so nice and Caring . The food and nutrition staff was also friendly , few times food was not what we asked for but it was not a big deal because the service that was given I couldn’t complain. I would recommend anyone to consider delivering at this hospital. The only downside for me was the security that was working the front desk that morning of 11/2 at 5am in the morning.When I walked in I said good morning to him 3 times before he acknowledged me , and I just feel like he could have been a bit more polite because it can go along way .

This post is only about the nicu. As parents you never plan to leave your hospital after birth without the baby but sadly we had to. Our daughter was transported to this NICU because Wesley chapel (where she was delivered) shockingly doesn’t have their own. We live 45 mins away and I was recovering from C-section and the hubby had to work. Every single nurse kept us informed and had no issue with me calling to check it on her a lot. Nurse Jana was the best and made me feel better the nights she was with her. Our daughter got excellent care their and if there’s ever an issue we make the drive to their ER.

The nurses and doctors, once back 3 hours later, were awesome. The CT tech sprayed BLEACH all over the machine and room. That is not a safe chemical especially for someone like me. This was the best hospital experience of my life! First of all, I went in at 5 months pregnant and registration was extremely fast and genuinely concerned for me and my baby so she rolled me up to the Labor and Delivery section very quickly. At Labor and Delivery, they took care of me right away. My nurse was also 28 weeks pregnant and she was awesome! The atmosphere there is like no other hospital I've ever been to - and trust me, I've been to a lot of different hospitals. Usually I dread going to the hospital and don't have the best experience; however, this hospital changed my entire perspective. I was so relaxed and felt extremely confident in my care there that I ended up taking a nap before the DR came in to check on me. When the DR showed up, she was absolutely amazing. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed and I felt like she truly cared. The experience made me want to have my delivery here - that's how good of an experience I had. I felt like I went to the spa. Lol, but seriously, it was definitely an experience I needed because I left in a very positive relaxed mood, well rested and taken care of. Thank you guys! PS, the cafeteria food was delicious too!

First & last name is Ashly Black. I'd like to start by saying this. My experience started out really rough... I was coming in for a 24-48 hour evaluation with Dr Cosme. My er experience wasn't that great... I had one ultrasound tech that was amazing with my IV even though I was the biggest baby about it.. Moved to another room for the safety of myself and my mother due to someone being very verbal and abusive towards staff. They moved me to be admitted because of my blood pressure, and my heart rate being so low and high they we're concerned for my safety & needed more observation. I was moved to a room that I knew I was going to get a roommate in, which I didn't really like but I grew to love my roommate. They then moved me to the next floor due to my blood pressure bottoming out while I slept. I was then moved to the floor above, where I gained a new roommate that was AMA, and kept getting up causing me anxiety. My nurses were AMAZING. I had a few that were unacceptably rude and were trying to force AMAS on me, but I kept refusing because I knew the IV's they were trying to place were going to blow anyways. When I moved floors, my nurses were perfect and listened to my needs that I needed my doctors to communicate with me and come explain the tests and diagnoses they were coming up with instead of just letting transport show up to take me to my next destination. The constant noises coming from my roommates were causing so much anxiety and fear that it was affecting my health, therefore I was moved to another room down the hallway that actually helped me focus on my health more by myself, helped my anxiety go away which affected my blood pressure and heartrate. My nurses listened to everything I needed at this point, and we're so helpful to me with helping me eat what I needed to, shower when I needed to, talk to family when needed to. I felt so well cared for when I was moved to another floor. I had a long conversation with one of my nurses that actually cleared up a lot of miscommunication between my iv team, my doctors and my CT techs, which I am forever grateful for. She really helped me in reaching a proper diagnosis. When I was discharged, I was able to feel safe with my diagnosis. I am thankful for this hospital, that they allowed my doctor to find the issue with me, and that I had such a great staff support during my stay. Thank you Advent Health Tampa.

Amazing ! my daughter bused her chin around 6pm Tuesday night and the staff was so amazing. They treated my daughter and my 2 sons who came along like their own. The nurse who did the stitches was good that my daughter didn't even move she was so entertained. No need to wrap her up or hold her down. She almost enjoyed being there. I had never been to this hospital before because we just moved to the area, I am so glad I did.

My husband is in the emergency room now waiting for the doctor to stitch up his thumb. He's been there a bit but considering all that is going on I am sure they are very busy. I called to check on him and both staff members I spoke with were very friendly, checked on him for me and now just waiting for the call to come pick him up. Thank you to all. I had an excellent experience when having surgery performed on 8/10/21 with Dr. Monica Miller. From the moment we walked in & were directed towards pre administration. Where Marlene checked in quickly & efficiently. While still being friendly & chatting a bit, really helpful to feel relaxed before surgery ty. My anesthesiologist was kind & professional he explained everything very well. Kathy & Kelley were my very kind & caring RN's ty. Everyone from entrance to exit was a wonderful pleasure to be cared for by!

I had outpatient surgery yesterday from a severe cooking injury (funny yes but true). The doctors, nurses and staff were wonderful and had the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. This was my first time having surgery ever and they made me feel very calm and comfortable. Thank goodness for this place I went to the ER in Brandon and they told me I just had anxiety and back pain. I was suffering for weeks then finally came here and they actually took me seriously. Come to find out it was my gallbladder and I had gastritis and esophagitis. They helped me so much. I’m so glad I came here

Rating for the pediatric ER and pediatric department: We arrived on Monday 02/22/2021 around noon-ish due to my 8 week old son projectile vomiting after feeds for 24 hours. Our pediatrician recommended us to go to AdventHealth Tampa to have an ultrasound done. Our Pediatric ER nurse Rose was WONDERFUL; extremely pleasant and personable. I went back with my son for the ultrasound and the ultrasound techs and staff were incredibly friendly!! It was difficult to get the ultrasound down with a hungry, squirmy infant but the techs were so patient and talkative with me. It really made the experience less stressful! It did take quite a while for the ultrasound results but that’s to be expected. Once we got the results we were advised we needed to be monitored overnight and receive surgery. During our stay the pediatric unit staff were INCREDIBLE. Our nurses Sarah, Jennifer, and Lori were our primary nurses during our stay and I cannot praise them and the supporting staff (charge nurses and tech nurses) enough. They made us feel as if they knew exactly what we were feeling. Sarah proactively filled up our water cups without even asking. All three nurses loved on our little guy as well!! The meals and the staff taking orders for meals were phenomenal! Not exactly Michelin star quality food however, the food for being a hospital was a 4 out of 5. They also offered vegetarian and vegan meal options. The staff was honest as well about what meals were the best tasting and made to order vs not (premade peanut butter and jelly). Our surgeon doctor Anderson was also very kind, personable and did a great job communicating with us what the surgery was & what to expect. Dr. Rivera was also super kind for our first day in the pediatric unit and checking in on us after surgery. As first time parents to go through something not so pleasant AdventHealth Tampa really made the experience far less stressful!! So glad we went to this hospital!!!

Went to the ER Sunday June 28 with acute abdominal an chest pains , check in an triage went very quick even with the amount of people in the waiting room. Waiting afterwards was as expected , about 2-2.5 hours, taken to the back finally an the doctor seen me , ordered tests , tests were done , doctor came back explained in detail the findings , gave me a diagnosis ( gastritis possible peptic ulcer) and told me what I should do for treatment and referral to a specialist . The nurses were all friendly and professional, the ER doctor was very helpful and made me feel comfortable by being clear spoken with what my problem was. Total time was about 10 hours from start to finish . I won’t hesitate to come to this hospital again. It is far better than any hospital I have been in before , thank you for your service .

They took me there in an ambulance and I didn't wait long 10-15 minutes and I seen a nurse practitioner then the doctor come in and said that it's a ruptured vein varicose vein so they cleaned it wrapped it and told me to take it easy I would recommend them to anyway they did a good job

My dad was there recently for a procedure on 4 South. I stayed the night with him. I have experienced many over night stays in many hospitals with family members in last few years in Tampa. I was so impressed with his care and the truly genuine staff. I mean every single person who entered that room was so kind, helpful, and sincere. They would also ask me if I needed anything, every time they came in, I couldn't believe it! Please let them know what a wonderful experience we had and how much we truly appreciated that in a time that was stressful for us. Every one was excellent. Quiet when they came in, courteous, listened so nicely and patiently to my dad and went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Thank you!

Nurses and doctors were excellent! My son had to be admitted and they were very informative and attentive. The room was very nice too. Only complaint is the housekeeping not removing the trash on a regular basis, seemed like it needed to be a bit cleaner, people in transport and dietary are not very personable. But my son and I left there very pleased overall.

I initially wasn't happy about my visit to the AdventHealth because of the unexpected bill I received afterwards. But, when I asked AH managers to help me to solve the situation, the financial counselor helped me a lot! She was so nice to me and so professional! I must say, that the team and the service at the hospital is really, really good, polite and respectful, and they are ready to communicate with their patients. I only wish them to keep working on financial/billing transparency, so that everyone would be satisfied. Thank you!

Clearly, no one comes to the ER because of a great experience, but the staff here are amazing. I had to come to the ER around midnight Saturday, and was immediately put into a triage room. After five minutes, I was in a private room and being helped by the nurses. All were warm and made me feel like my reason for being there was legit. But, there was one nurse in particular that went above and beyond as far as being warm and helpful. I was admitted to the hospital and was on 4 South. My nurse Rachel was so friendly and accomodating to my needs and even had the solution available and ready before I even knew I needed anything. Although my stay was short, my experience at Advent Health was truly an amazing one. THANK YOU Rachel from 4 South for everything you did to make my crummy situation more comfortable. I hate being in hospitals, but this experience was truly a positive one for the books.

Went to the ED/ER with my 94 yo mom. Got in fast, saw the doctor within the first 30 minutes if that long, got excellent care and attention. Her treatment was painful, but doctor and nurse were competent, respectful and caring, and she was very happy not to have to remain overnight. We were in by 6PM and out by 9PM. No complaints here!

I took my 4 year old daughter here for the first time. We went to the childrens ER. It was cute as it was decorated in pirate ships and the individual rooms were as well. I told myself, okay cool, cute hospital, I hope the care is good to. It absolutely was. The doctor and staff were a delight. My daughter even complimented on how comfy their beds were lol she's forward like that. They really treated us nicely, my daughter and I both were given snacks and drinks. The urine test results were suppose to take a hour, we got them back in 20 min. Really thorough and friendly place to take kids. I'm big on cleanliness and care. They covered all of my expectations.

My father had surgery this morning and honestly the staff was very organized and caring. We were in at 5:00 a.m . Processed and pre op, 7:30 surgery and 9:30 recovery room... out by a little after noon. Our recovery nurse Nina was very attentive and kind to my dad. It was a good experience.

My son is alive and improving every day. He died twice (not the hospitals fault) and was brought back both times. The care has been excellent, even the x-ray tech stayed to help turn him in his bed, as he can't turn himself. I saw a patient being absolutely horrid to one of the nurses, this nurse stayed right by the patient's side and genuinely cared for him. The patient ended up being a very pleasant person afterwards.

Went to the emergency room late at night and got decent service. We didn't wait in a waiting room at all however they took us into a halfway room immediately where we sat for an hour. They then took us into a room with a bed set up for my boyfriend. He had both ears clogged with giant balls of wax. After we got into that room they checked him out and then we waited another hour... HOWEVER when the doctor finally did arrive she was the absolute sweetest and most professional doctor I've ever met. She was really patient with us and gave off a motherly vibe. Very comfortable to be around and kind of funny. Her name was Heather Johnson. Her staff was nice too. They were able to get his wax blockage out. Went home happy, just really tired. We were there for 4 in half hours.

I had my Fourth baby girl here! An amazing experience! All staff was wonderful and when above and beyond to care for my daughter’s needs and I. Nurse Teri at fletcher location, nurse Shannon, Heidi were all wonderful! The midwife that did my delivery was the best! She respected my wishes, didn’t rush me, when I refuse painkillers she didn’t judge but rather provided me with techniques to help me with labor. Overall was a 10 stars experience! I had never felt this way during labor with any of my other kids in any other hospital.

My experience was with the Women's Pavilion. There must be quite a contrast between it and ER, because many of the reviews for ER are terrible. I had quite the opposite experience in the Women's Pavilion. I had surgery and spent the night. My pre-op care was outstanding. I was kept comfortable throughout my stay. The recovery area was calm and I received great care. My private room was exceedingly clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive and receptive to my questions and needs. And though the last thing I wanted to do was eat, I was required to eat in order to be released. The food was even decent. No one wants to be in the hospital, but Florida Hospital's Women's Pavilion made an unpleasant experience as pleasant as it could be.
