6/17/22 I can not attest to wait times because I was transferred from another hospital however.. I can attest to the professionalism, friendliness, cleanliness and overall exceptional experience I had from the moment coming in. Nurses Jenna and Lyndsey were attentive caring and lightened the mood with humor. All the while making sure they didn’t miss a beat! Techs Adriana and Marisol were caring and made sure things were as they were supposed to be at all times. Even the cleaning lady Annet went above and beyond. Dr. Raja was the best ER doctor I Have had. Dr. Mehta and Flower were both an absolute pleasure! In addition the nursing supervisor on staff made sure to come In and make sure my family and I had what we needed. The Doctors Came across that they care and know what they were doing. Confident yet personable and checked in on me a lot. I'm not too sure how you can feel like royalty in a ER but they made it work! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5east.

I have had prior surgeries at other hospitals. This experience supersedes them by far. The efficiency and professionalism is astonishing. The staff is friendly and caring. My surgery has surpassed all expectations. I lived for years in chronic pain that affected me both physically and mentally. I now have no pain and feel like a new person. Thank you to all the staff for ultimately saving my life.

The employees I dealt with were very warm and welcoming. I had both a total knee replacement and endoscopy, at different times. Both times the medical team was excellent. They took their time to explain procedures and offering comfort and reassurance to me and my spouse. The only thing that prevents me from leaving a 5 star review is the fact that the men’s room off the admitting area had a very strong odor of urine and the paper towel dispenser was empty.

I was nervous bringing my mom here because of the bad reviews. This place has been amazing! Everything and everyone has been wonderful. The hospital is very clean. The staff was so nice and on top of everything. Can't say enough good things. I would definitely give them a chance. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Had to go to the ER and the hospital staff here made a scary moment a lot less scary. I want to shout out our nurse, Natalya, she made sure to make us feel comfortable and safe. She had a great way of explaining herself and made the experience a lot better. If there is anyway to recognize this nurse, please do so! She had great bedside manner and was truly amazing!

Had shoulder replacement surgery and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone took very good care of me. I was amazed at the level of organization and the friendliness of everyone starting with the gentleman who greeted me. He even remembered me a week later when I had to come back in.

Surgery department everyone was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of me. The floor Nurse's did the best they could. Nutrition however is not good, you are expected to go slowly after procedure but they didn't have the half of the nutritional protein needed. Supplies need to be put away specifically for patients to help them heal.

I came in to get surgery on my sacariliac joint and the doctor and the nurses were very professional and courteous. The care I received was top notch and professional, the nurses were beautiful and caring, never had so many ladies that cared for my well-being. It didn't matter what time of day, or how busy they were, they treated me like I was the only patient they had to care for.. I will always refer my friends and family to Advent Health Carroll Wood for any and all their surgery needs. Thank you for having such an amazing Crew of doctors and nurses.

Being in the hospital can be so scary. You know honesty when I stayed at the Advent health and Carrollwood I could not have been treated any better. I was admitted for 3 days and the entire time from the beginning I walked into the ER to the time that I was discharged there wasn't a single person that I came in contact with that wouldn't do anything to make sure that my needs were met. I'm extremely satisfied and honestly this will be the only hospital that I would come to if I ever have to visit an ER.

Appointment for tests were quick, on time and everyone was very nice and professional. I originally called someone else for my mammogram, but the earliest I could get was the end of February!! Since I needed an ultrasound for my kidneys, I asked if they could do my mammogram also. They were able to do them both back to back within the week that I called!!!

Desiree C. In the PCU Unit night time shift, is absolutely amazing. What my family and I are going through is not easy, A LOT of confusion. If I call and she is busy, she asks to call me back and ACTUALLY DOES. She does her research and actually has proper answers. She is full of compassion, and is genuine. My mother is lucky to be able to receive the treatment she is getting from Desiree. Thank you for being the human you are and giving my mother the respect as a patient that can't speak for herself. I know she is well taken care with you.

My appt was at 7:30, I arrived at 7:20 and nobody was in the front desk. At 7:37 I heard a noise and that's when I realized that a girl was there in the corner were no one can see her. If you know patients are coming in early, she should be attentive to the door. The technician and the registration girl were super kind and friendly.

Amazing ER, i know everywhere is short staffed right now so my expectation was that we would be waiting a few hours. But they did everything in their power to expedite everything due to the nature of the illness. I was very impressed! The provider (PA) and RN were knowledgable and the staff attentive in spite of the health crisis we are currently experiencing. Advent health is doing an exceptional job keeping patient informed and communicating care/expectations. The front desk receptionist who checked us in was being verbally abused by a patient, but she remained kind, apologetic, & explained the situation clearly. I hate seeing patients treat employees poorly but had to admire the lady's composure and was impressed by how she handled it.

Very pleased with kindness and quickness of treatment in scary situation! Highly recommended! Just think of the last time you sat for 4-6 hours in the same emergency room w/100 other folks w/varying coughs, sneezes and bugs. No more!

Facility is clean and quiet. I checked during hurricane Ian and was first in line. Nurses and assistants all nice and friendly even after sleeping in the hospital for 4 nights.

Never expected to add a 5 star Review for a HOSPITAL~But compared to the time having to wait to be seen at St joes & Tampa General(hmm?) How gorgeous and beautiful of a job they have done remodeling it and adding a kids play area & Amazingly painted rooms that give you a calm feeling. Nobody likes to go to the hospital, but DAMN They make you feel like family here! So Thankful for this place!

I can't say enough good things from check-in to leaving the best nurses and support staff therapist food delivery I have been in about 10 hospitals and NONE WAS AS GREAT AS ADVENT HESLTH the 3rd floor orthopedic floor. is the best. My people they felt like I was the only person there if I have to have anything else put together or replaced I want to go back there best hospital I've ever been in

I have been at several hospitals in my lifetime both in this area and up north mostly the Tampa bay area and Pinellas. I can say most certainly that the care I received at Advent health on Dale Maybry in Tampa has been the best experience so far. And that’s not diminishing the other ones at all. It’s just that everything from start to finish went incredibly smoothly with no hitches. Everybody from Mr. 1:30 on the first floor to the second floor preop and operation day and postop has been the finest. Thank you for making the experience such a positive one

I just got home after being in the emergency room for a hernia. I’m not one to leave a review for anything, but I really gotta tip my hat to these folks. Everyone I met made my girlfriend and I feel comfortable and relaxed. All nurses, doctors, and staff were very laid back and very informative. Care was quick and to the point. Can’t speak more highly of my time there. And insanely clean as well. I hope they can read this, and know how awesome they are.

Had such a great experience at this location. This was my first time at Advent Health and they really impressed me. I had to go to the ER and yes the wait is long but that is because they have to help everyone and give everyone great care. Test and labs take 30 to 60mins to come back. So if the ER wait is long just know they are caring for someone else like you would want them to care for you. Shout out to Nurse Erin and Physicians Assistant Tara, they were so great and explained everything so well to me. Shout out to the intake staff, everyone was great!

They are always so kind here and clean. Usually I dread going to the hospital because I’m a plus size girl and every doctors first thing to say is lose weight even for something that has nothing to do with weight but they have never mentioned my weight I’ve been here 3 times and each experience has been great thank you guys for being kind.

I arrived with an overnight pain on a Sunday morning to this place. The front desk lady was very nice and courteous, I waited less than 3 minutes to be call to the back. And after few minutes I had someone taking my blood, my favorite was Still the X-ray tech, he introduced himself and made me feel relax and comfortable with the conversation while performing the X-ray. Dr. Lancaster PA-C, was very professional and attentive. I waited few months holding my pain afraid of the ER. But everyone made me feel confortable and safe, they listen to what I had to say. Thank you all the health workers for your hard work.

I arrived with irregular heartbeat and chest pain and was immediately taken to er. All the doctors and staff were incredibly helpful and my stay here was very comfortable. They brought in a cardiologist to check me out and provided everything I needed to make a full recovery. I would only come here in an emergency.

I spent a week at this location as a medically insured patient in my 20s, in which I experienced the Emergency Room (ER), the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). I received the best medical and non-medical care I could ask for. I had a whole-body infection, fluid in my lungs, and life-threatening low oxygen levels. The ER team was superb; they quickly and effectively treated me to keep the infection from spreading and my body from further deteriorating. The ICU suite where I stayed was state-of-the-art, and the ICU team was incredible in terms of knowledge, work ethics, patient care, and emotional support. Over at PCU, the team was also spectacular and quite comforting. From the ER nurses, the ICU nurses, the PCU nurses, the Internist, the Pulmonologist, the Cardiologist, the Respiratory Techs to the Chaplain, the Nurse Assistants, the Radiology Techs, the Nutrition team, the Physical Therapist and Housekeeping, thank you AdventHealth for saving my life.

I have nothing but praise for this hospital. Having had several surgeries over the years for back issues, I can honestly say Advent Health Carrollwood is definitely the best hospital by far. From the time I walked through the main entrance, was prepared for surgery, after my surgery and until the day I left, I received impeccable care. My private room was spacious. The nurses and entire staff were so professional, knowledgeable, friendly and everyone wore masks and gloves and made sure I was kept in a sterile safe environment. They made me feel like I wasn’t just a number. Even the food was delicious. Thank you all for the best care ever!

I am practically a “frequent flyer” with the people in Emergency due to bacterial infections. Each time I check in I’m met with people who enjoy their work and go out of their way to help others. They make every effort to understand the patient’s problem and associated concerns. There’s no rushing the patient through any procedure. Everyone is available if you need a heated blanket, if you can’t do exactly what’s required because of a pre-existing condition or if you need to explain anything in detail that you feel they should know.

On several occasions I visited AdventHealth. My first time at AdventHealth was back in June 5th of this year. I was getting a COVID test, I was nervous, and I remember the nurse heading towards me, holding out his hands, and letting me hold them to keep me calm. All of the doctors, and nurses were so kind and heartwarming. They made sure that I was comfortable during my visits in the hospital. I really appreciate their mighty warm heartedness. The hospital itself is very beautiful and the colors are very peaceful and calming. I feel so at ease here, and I know I’m going to be taken care of. Here I am, saying thank you to all of the doctors and nurses of AdventHealth for the way you all cared for me with compassion. Thank you for your loving care, hospitality and generous hard work. I am grateful for people like you!

I crawled into their emergency room early Sunday morning with a bad cough and a fever. They told me very quickly that I had influenza A and pneumonia as well. They admitted me and gave me one week of amazing hi tech medicine. The first five days, most medicines were administered IV. They must have given me a dozen different antibiotics as well as an anti-flu medicine and many others. My doctors would come and talk to me every day. They have a procedure and a routine that they follow and it works well. They probably saved my life. They are very polite and have a very strong "customer is always right" attitude. I cannot imagine that anyone has ever received better medicine for anything than I was given. I am very grateful. Is every detail of every interaction perfect down to positioning your lunch tray? No, but you won't find closer to perfection than this. Let them save your life.

Our 22 year old daughter had upper jaw surgery this past week and we were all very pleased with the care she received. She really liked how everyone explained what they were going to do before doing it and how it would affect her. No surprises! Everyone took their time and never gave the impression they were in a rush to get out of her room. Even though she was only there overnight, housekeeping did clean her room during her stay. As an RN at a facility 2 hours away I was very happy with the facility and care our daughter received! Keep up the good work. God Bless you all.

My wait in the ER was minimal and the staff was amazing! I was admitted into the Hospital for two nights. My private room was very comfortable. The Doctors, Nurses, Technicians, and supporting staff were all gracious, patient, and kind. I was treated very well here! During the check in process they weren’t finding me scheduled for orthopedic surgery and I was. However, besides, the little bump on the road I have to say that everyone I had contact with was extremely efficient, respectful and professional. The hospital was clean and neat. Staff was very informative, attentive and careful. I arrived at 5:30 AM for pre-op prep and they took the time to answer all my questions, to get me ready and also to address my anxiety due to the surgery with care and compassion. By 7:25 AM the nurse and escort were taking me to the surgery room (which was 5 minutes before schedule). I’m really impressed to say the least of how well and efficiently this team of professionals worked together. I wanted to thanks to Dr. Mark Frankle and the whole team as they did an excellent job taking care of me. I really appreciate everything, and highly recommend the Dr. Frankle as well as this hospital.

I made an appointment to this location because I was told I needed to return in 2 days by St Joes. I was at ST Joes for 8 hours on Thursday; 5 of which were in the waiting room. I was in pain and dreading coming back due to the wait. After making my online appointment advent put me right to the back! I was greeted with Stacy and Tia who were both thorough, funny, and fast. I quickly got transferred to the sono tech anjalay, who was also very careful and explained everything. Dr.Patch was great; even with not great news... he wasn’t bad to look at either. As I was waiting on my transfer Kristina Beverly came in to update me on a time and give me medication for the ride. During my transfer Brendon my nurse was making sure I was completely comfortable and showed true concern for my needs. He informed me he would review my paperwork so we had no issues when we arrived. His partner Tom even made sure he had a holder for my purse and belongings connected to my stretcher for the ambulance ride. Safe to say during any issues I need I will be back to advent.

I had spinal surgery at this hospital. I’m writing this review from the bed after recovery. Probably got another hour or so before I go home. I just want to say I’ve been treated so well here. The facility is decent the people are freaking amazing. I don’t know if I just got lucky with my nurses but they are on point. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Admitted here some time ago after a surgery. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the care received was excellent, and the facilities were very impressive. This is how all medical facilities should be. My recovery was rough but the experience at this hospital made it as tolerable as possible. I hope I never have a hospital stay again but if I do, I will go out of my to be treated here.

I had to take my mom to the ER late last night and had the most pleasant experience with all of the staff we encountered. From the receptionist, security guard, registration clerk, techs, nurses, and doc. I couldn’t believe how cordial every single staff member was. The receptionist got us in the system efficiently, the security guard went out of his way to grab a wheelchair for my mom, the triage nurse went outside personally to get me and escort me to my mom’s room. Once in her room, tech Olivia got her situated quickly. Nurse Margie was the sweetest at handling our emergency and making sure my mom was at ease. Nurse Ramesy was also incredible and so on time with every single test and task he had to perform. Tech Suzanne was so pleasant and sweet. Dr. Ashkenasi was wonderful and made us feel at ease with our situation and did everything to make sure my mom was ok. I truly couldn’t be happier with the care we received tonight. I can’t thank the staff enough for all they did for us.

The 4 hour wait time was not ideal, but the kind Dr. Prator and CNA Genisis made up for it. Front desk can be more empathetic, as they routinely asked everyone for "ID & Insurance card" before even asking what was your emergency. I came to the ER 12/07/18. The overnight staff 7pm-7am was absolutely amazing. Staff and nurses were very polite, thorough, and efficient! Dr. Stultz is a great physician in every aspect. I left feeling almost 100% better.

I recently was a patent at this hospital and have to say I was very very pleased with the nurses and staff. Their main objective was my pain management and worked very hard to insure that I was as comfortable as possible and checked in on me at least twice an hour. Dr Tresser was caring and concerned as well checking in on me many times. He was pleased with my lumbar fusions and recovery. The staff were so kind considerate with my personal comfort making sure I felt comfortable while doing x-rays and checking the incisions. I can't say enough about everyone at the hospital! They all took that apprehensive feelings and fear away...God bless you all and Thank you! The only negative thing I can say is, the food was awful and I just couldn't eat it. I'm not a fussy person either.... For that, I'm sorry...God bless!

I just want to say how happy I am w/ this hospital. I usually go to St. Joseph's North but last week when I went w/ a belly full of fluid they sent me home. They also would NOT give me pain relief. Instead this time I went here. They admitted me. Controlled my pain. Made me comfortable and removed the fluid from my belly. Maria was my nurse. You would never ever know this woman is 21. I had the best care there. The doctor who removed my fluid was amazing. I was welcome from the time I walked in the hospital. My charge nurse was a man and believe it or not SO compassionate. I was on the 4th floor, room 408. I want to give a shout out to all that helped me. I feel 100% better because of you all. Please continue your team work. Now I will only go to this hospital. I had my doubts when I read the reviews but not anymore. Have a great day 4th floor!!

From the moment I checked myself into the ER on sheldon , I received fantastic care. I was transported to the main hospital on Dale Mabry where I received phenomenal care. Samira was fantastic right from go. Katina was amazing. Karen, my night nurse took great care of me. Karen the nurse who helped me right after my surgery made me feel like everything was going to be ok. I would like to make a special mention oh the ER nurse, whose name eludes me as I was heavily sedated. Right before I went under for my appendectomy she held my hand and it meant so much to me. Most of the staff seem very caring and friendly. I do believe that they're understaffed or overworked because the 8service is extremely slow. When you're waiting for your pain medication for over an hour after you requested it that's a problem. They also had too many unnecessary Physicians stop by to visit with me to you give an opinion about one thing or another. I really hope I'm not charged for this I did not request it nor was not advised about it beforehand. The nurse asked me if it was ok she could eat, because she had been so busy she hadn't had a chance to eat. I said sure I've been waiting only four and a half hours to be discharged what's another hour.

Hospital Carrollwood on a few occasions and always had a superb experience, most recently for minor surgery on Nov. 12, 2015. Prior was emergency appendectomy in 2013. From intake, to pre-opp, surgery prep, consult by Doctor's, post Opp, and follow up, I rate all at 5 stars. I've been to Tampa General, St. Luke's, and University and will do anything possible to use Fla. Hospital Carrollwood. I did not have a favorable experience at any of the other hospitals. Kudos to very well run facility and amazing caring staff. Thank you all for making my experience as worry free and painless as possible.

I have been in and out of the Carrolwoid location for approximately 18 years now due to my severe epileptic condition that strangely, even on high doses of meds that I take religiously, the seizures will completely stop. Sometimes for a year, but OH MY! THEY COME BACK WITH AVENGENCE! IN A DAY I WILL HAVE ABOUT 6-8! I live alone and these are the times I cant care for myself. I wasn' treated as I thought I should be treated in the past. This was before the hospital became Advent. I worked 16 yrs in the medical field and the way the previous nurses treated me was a disgrace! Around my 9th or so seizure I somehow still hear when I have seizures just can't respond. I heard them saying what they wanted for lunch! When I finally stopped I seen they had put barriers up! My head was hurting so bad I began vomiting. This lead me NOT to seek help anymore after that. Thats until I found out Advent took over from one of my sugeons. I cant express enough how caring, professional and just a blessing for us to have you all! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO! My husband underwent surgery here on November 26, 2018. I would like to compliment the entire staff that we came into contact with during his stay. Service when they figure it out is great: I did not appreciate waiting 9 hours for a room They asked me to arrive at 5:30am Got to the 5th floor at 6:30 pm. No Food all day after surgery: They asked me to bring my C-pap machine: As always and the Oxygen machines Alarm were going off all night. I sleep better with my C-pap. Noone could figure how to shut it down. Than i had to hear from the third shift Nurse how smart he was: What i did not appreciate how he pulled out the catheter and left me with a burning sensation for three days after i left the hospital. I mentioned this and he said it's from the medication. Will when i see him I'm personal going to let him know that this is not my first dance. I wonder how he is going to like it when i remove his catheter? Food was very good I did end up cleaning up my own room two days in a row. Gave myself my own sponge baths, they never asked me once need towels? But they did ask for my credit card in advance to charge the balance of the rooms for two days. Which is ok that's my plan. No room for the first night No food No Service No Cleaning No Towels I been to all their Hospitals: Even this one: Remember the service when applied is ok. The left hand as no communication with the right hand: I just caught a bad two days. But what a RUSH when that catheter was pulled out at 15: MPH. I almost bit thru my teeth for the next three days. I normally went take the time, but this trip compared to all the other 5 stars visits. WOW.

I have to be honest, I’ve had such poor experience with medical professionals in the last few years that my expectations were extremely low. I had a hard time accepting the bill for my procedure and the Financial Director took her time and somehow handled me while in full tears and shouting (kind of an understatement, I was a mess). She handled me with grace, compassion and understanding. Aside from administrative, my entire procedural experience was incredible. The nurses and other professionals were so so so great. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and cared for. I will name some people below that really made an impact on me and reassured my faith in healthcare professionals. Manny did my intake and was EXTREMELY thorough and made sure I felt comfortable and was well cared for in such a genuine way that I felt the need to recognize him. It was clear this was his passion. AND Carlos, he was in the procedure with the Doctor. From the time he entered my room all the way to the table- he was making me laugh and really made me feel fully at ease. He is the perfect example of what a Healthcare professional should be. Not only knowledgeable and passionate about his work but incredibly sociable, funny and charismatic in the way that we all wish Doctors were. I truly can’t thank everyone enough for how they cared for me. I’m sure for them it was just they’re every day act, but it was so refreshing and truly reassured my faith in Medical Professionals.

I went there yesterday, January 23, 2020. The wait was not that long but staff personal is not friendly there. The nurse that saw me last, told me everything she needed to tell plus gave an injection and left the room. Sometimes the wait is unbearable, but I think they are getting better at it. The nurses are ALWAYS extra nice and fun. I'm ESPECIALLY grateful because I've taken my toddler to St. Joe's since forever but they are just going downhill. They sent my baby home twice after having a horrible cough, fever, vomiting, and shortness of breath for 3 WEEKS! Told him no antibiotics would work and just to "wait it out" even though he's asthmatic and has a bad history of being admitted for pneumonia, rsv and rhino. Florida Hospital took the time to understand my worry and frustration and sent me home with an antibiotic and he was perfect the next day. THANK YOU!!

I had a total hip replacement at Florida Hospital Carrolwood in September 2014. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 days, discharged to rehab on the third day. My experience with Florida Hospital Carrolwood was 5 stars from start to finish. From the initial pre-op information intake a week before my surgery, to the "class" I attended at the hospital on what to expect from surgery, recovery, etc., to the actual surgery and post-op care I received, and the courteous and professional way I was treated by all of the hospital's medical and administrative staff, it was amazing. I couldn't have picked a better hospital and medical care out of a catalog. When it comes to total hip, I have to say that Dr. Steven Lyons (and a big Shout Out to all of his assistants from Florida Orthopedic) is The Man and Florida Hospital Carrollwood is The Hospital. Special kudos to Cami in patient accounts at the hospital for her gracious, helpful and pleasant service.
