I have most of my doctors are through Swedish Medical and I have been treated with great care and respect. Thank goodness for the medical team of Doctors who took care of me during my infection with C~Diff that led to my having two mini strokes and a heart attack I would have died. The hospital staff has been very friendly and helpful with all of my needs. I get my infusion of Entyvio every 6 weeks by exceptionally wonderful nurses. I look forward to seeing them they are happy and funny and make the time around 3 hours more enjoyable than I would have had thought. Am blessed to have such great a great team of Doctors and Nurses caring for me especially with my health history of illnesses.

My experience with the ER staff was exceptional!! From the moment I stepped in the door to the time I was walked out I was treated with care, compassion and concern. From the receptionist through triage nurse, to the emergency room nurses and doctors, every single person was forced on providing the best medical care they could. They were consummate professionals that I would recommend to anyone needing care.

I've never met such amazing staff in a hospital before. These people are so sweet and nice. Me and my wife came from Bellingham for a preemie birth. They treated my wife like a princess and we always felt like we were in good hands no matter who's shift it was. Thank you guys, you are all amazing and thank you for helping us feel safe at all times. :)

Had my daughter here 5 months ago. I'll start with the positives, nurses Makenzie and Lydia were my first and last nurses in postpartum and truly kind and compassionate. Doula Meg was amazing, kind, and she really helped me get through my birth. The food menu was great, I actually looked forward to eating here. The rest of the time I was treated like an animal in the field, the other nurses ignored my concerns about my IV being uncomfortable, itchy and the skin around it turning red. They proceeded to try and put TWO iron transfusions through that same IV, which on day 3 was very much going bad. With the second iron transfusion it became so painful in my vein (because it was blown out) and had to switch arms. My arm hurt for 3 weeks after that. It was swollen, itchy, warm, red around the IV site, horribly bruised. It hurt to hold my baby and painful to straighten my arm for several weeks. That vein is now permanently collapsed 5 months later. I'm not someone who would ever be mean to medical workers and I have so much respect for nurses and everything they go through... on top of being the patient without any medical degrees I just trusted that I was in good hands. I'm saddened that my first hospital experience taught me that so many of them are just going through the motions and they don't really care about you. I knew that birth is gnarly and recovery would not be easy, but I was not expecting to come out of this with unnecessary damage to my body due to negligence.

Got my surgery done at the hospital successfully and received excellent care from the staff. Pro tip: If you want your IV done painlessly, ask for the IV team to do it (Charlie was excellent).

These guys are the best. I was admitted for two months ish prior to the birth of my twins, who were then in the NICU for two months. Everything went smoothly even in the face of some possible major problems. Dr. Katz-Eriksen and her partner were so comforting and reassuring. The nurses on floor 5 are really special ladies. Leticia in the NICU was unforgettable and Elizabeth Kopaskie was the best advocate ever. Love love everyone 💗💗

I guess it depends on who is carrying for you. I had the most amazing experience here. All the nurses, doctors and residents were over the top nice and carrying, super friendly and some even had a great sense of humor. Not sure why UW is apparently “rated” the top hospital, UW got nothing on Swedish, at least from my experience. I can agree 100% with one of the other reviews about Doula staff members, so helpful and compassion.

I had a very pleasant experience at this hospital with the birth of my son! The Nurses Amanda, Sarah, Ellie & Lilly were absolutely the best! The kindest, most caring, friendly and empathetic nurses I have ever had the chance to get care by. Ellie was too awesome during my labor and didn’t give me a chance to miss my sister as she couldn’t be there! I was also thankful for one my my favorite midwife Hannah Rose Wurz being on call that day and was able to assist me in birthing my baby she is absolute darling and made labor so easy! Other midwives came during rounds was Emelia & Katherine who I absolutely adore too! These ladies has made my journey from pregnancy in Kaiser to labor to post partum smooth sailing! Thanks to all of them once again :)

This is by far the cleanest and most welcoming hospital you could find yourself at. I delivered my son here 18 years ago and just went to the ER yesterday and they had me in and out in a fairly quick amount of time considering it's an ER and also covid.. they have a lot happening yet still take enough time to tend to your issue promptly and thoroughly . I never feel like they discharge me without all my questions or concerns being answered. Every nurse, ARNP, and Doctor I've had contact with has had excellent bedside manner and is very respectful and non judgemental and I would even say many of the people who work there go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and any diagnosis is explained clearly and any aftercare is also explained so you know exactly what to be doing etc. Your always welcome to come back of course if your symptoms worsen or you have other concerns. They also have a nurse hotline you can call which is amazing as well. I appreciate this place! Out of all of the hospitals on what we call pill Hill in Seattle, they are far superior in the categories of bedside manner, non judgemental care, your time is respected as well as your needs, they are the cleanest compared to harborview which, if you have severe trauma, they are the leading hospital around for a long ways but forget about it if your need to go to the ER for something you need airlifting too.

Really great care at the emergency room and 7th floor ICU. The 8th floor ICU was lacking in care, however.

Staff is really attentive when you come as a patient. Most of the staff speak and are friendly and helpful. The volunteers at the concierge station take their roles REALLY serious and if you take a wheel chair, the will hunt you down in the hallway to remind u to bring the wheelchair back. I don’t know about you, but I ALWAYS put things back where I find them. Cafeteria hours are reduced, so be sure if your needing lunch to go before 2 or 230. The grill is where I order most of my food.... the most try’s are the omelets with bacon, tomatoes, cheeses mushroom and whatever else you would like to add in for an additional $.50 to $1.00. Also, try to grilled cheese and add ham or your favorite sliced meat. I always loved t try he roast beef and mashed potatoes or salmon n mashed potatoes. They’re ARE pricey! So remember that the lunch specials will usually cost you about $8-9 bucks and you may get a better deal for ur money going t to o a local restaurant or finding a lunch special. Sometimes the kitchen staff is a bit funny style and depending on who you get, you could get a different answer. I had a woman that would always go to the taco bar to grab me jalapeños but if she wasn’t there, the other ladies would say no, they couldn’t do that. Interesting. George and Angie are all stars and very friendly. Food is just mediocre. You’re always safe to try a pre made salad (Asian chicken salad) .Also if you are like me and trying to avoid ribs and carbs try the turkey burger no bun.

I had surgery on 08/16 and stayed overnight. All the nurses and staff were so wonderful. I had the best experience at Swedish and a beautiful view. Everyone was so caring and they even had me wheelchaired downstairs to my car while my husband filled my meds and brought the car around.

I had a pretty serious emergency situation with being blinded in both eyes and my blood pressure being very high. The entire staff from entering the lobby, triage, technicians and Dr Jason Wong working to help me. I have my vision back now and only wish I could recall the names of everyone who helped me. Not being able to read name tags didn’t work in my favor however you’re all the very best! Thank you for your skilled work and empathy.

This was probably my 5th time at swedish first Hill, I received great care in the emergency room even though they were short staffed and the place was packed. And I also received great care on the 10th floor, the only thing I had a problem with... was, some nurses were taking their time responding to the call button... But I understood they were short of staff. I want to give a special shout out to nurse aid "Uncle G" also known as Genene. This guy was the best nurse there, along with Mario and Saba.. the best nurses!!

My dear friend is dealing with kidney failure, so he is currently receiving care here at Swedish First Hill. This is a super nice hospital with amazing views of the downtown Seattle skyline. The staff is kind and attentive. Rooms are impeccably clean with crown molding and hardwood floors. I hear the milkshakes are a big hit as well!

Had a great experience in labor and delivery (Anna Winebrenner, RN) was probably the best nurse I have ever seen in action. She was an exemplary health care provider.

We had to go to the ER for a non-stopping nose bleed. The ER staff, check-in ckerks, triage nurse, ER nurse, and Dr. Schwetz (sp?) were fantastic!!! Took care of the issue quickly, professionally and EFFECTIVELY. But all were incredibly caring and customer service oriented -- going well above and beyond. Dr Schwetz had excellent bedside manner and was excellent explainer. This was the best ER experience i have ever had.

Swedish system in general is a very good place. I go to Swedish first hill very often and I'm always greeted with a hello and a smile. The attendants are always helpful and willing to go out of their way. The concierge in the front is always knowledgeable and helpful to anyone and everyone. I personally have never had an issue at Swedish first hill. You walk into the lobby it is huge.
They have a Starbucks inside the lobby. The workers at the Starbucks are always friendly and fast. I've gone to many of the floors to get patients and they always tell me they love the nurses and the doctors. I personally have had good experiences with the nurses. Very friendly and sometimes even super funny. Swedish first hill is usually always clean. The men's bathroom on the very first floor could use some work. They need to fix the doors and even clean it a little bit better. Other than that I personally think they do a phenomenal job. (mind you this review is going in to visit or for work not as a patient.)

Some of the staff at swedish are the best! Then there is those who are as rude as the day is long!! But today I went to get a covid test an was told it was in another building. But when you have to carry a heavy tank of oxygen and not in the best of shape, the person at the counter of (mask and hand sanitizer). I was rude for no reason she was trying to be helpful. But I lost it. I'm sorry for my behavior.

Amazing care, efficient and organized processes, team who really listened and communicated well with me and with one another. Highly professional with lots of specialized expertise. Swedish First Hill is first-rate.

I know Swedish is know for high end surgeons, but let's spread .1% of the wealth into cleaning surface and nonbiohazzard cleanable furniture.

Highly recommended if you are a new parent, especially nursing mother! You can weigh your baby for free here with their precise scale and take very helpful classes on everything from CPR/ First Aid to grandparent and baby courses. The staff is amazingly helpful and accommodating!

Having a baby Febuary second was the best day of my life at the most amazing facility. The team that delivered was not only the most amazing team I have ever felt the feeling of, but also the most knowledgeable staff I have ever came across. It was almost confusing, trying to build more wisdom. Unfortunately, it might just be the JJ families eating style, it just seems to be very obtuse when it comes to food portion size. My Lady ordered three entrees and she could of ate it by herself. Rather just say welcome to the Swedish buffet.
Very easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Food and drink stand right inside. Would definitely dream about having another baby just to be able to deliver here again. Positive energy your way, may all who read this wishes come true. Always and forever.

I got an appointment next-day for supplementing issues with my 6 day old newborn. We had an awesome appointment with Emily and left feeling confident and reassured. Beautiful facility & looks like they have some really great programs, too!

There was some worker named Tony, with a deepvoice that is one of the best people I have ever worked with, needed Bills and he sent right away, he even told me within an hour and by half an hour It was on my fax machine, GOOD JOB TONY this one's for you!
