Hands down THE best doctors office I've been to and I gone through a lot of doctors. Christian Sloan is my physician and she is absolutely amazing!! She is caring, compassionate and very knowledgeable. She genuinely takes the time to not just help resolve your symptoms but helps with getting to the root cause of the problem. The staff is also amazing, they always keep me updated and respond to my inquiries quickly. Dealing with medical issues can be very challenging but knowing I have a great medical team makes things a lot easier. I highly recommend this office!!!!

As someone who spent 25 years working in the medical field it was so refreshing to visit an office where everyone was so welcoming and professional. My wait time was minimal and Molly took time to listen to all my problems and explained everything thoroughly about the procedures I needed to have. DR Patel and the entire staff were wonderful. I was able to schedule my procedure within two weeks of me contacting them. Front office of the surgery center needs a little help with their customer service. But have nothing but good things to say once I was taken back. At age 50, I got the 10 year pass. At 60, they found something of concern so I had to return in a year. This time they found nothing so I get a 3 year pass. Honestly, getting this procedure done is one of the best forms of "preventative maintenance" you can do for yourself health wise. Some people don't like the prep and others are uncomfortable with the procedure. The alternative however is attempting to cruise through life assuming that you're healthy. Too many great people banked on that theory and lost their lives! There is absolutely no pain in this procedure other than the IV they insert on your arm. Trust me, knowing is better than not knowing!

I recently found myself in a situation w/ a need for ASAP medical assistance for a stomach issue. In the first week of December I knew it'd be tough to be seen given the time of year and as it turned out...January looked to be the earliest I could be seen. With much help from the scheduling staff and some really great communication from the nurse practitioner's assistant...a spot for a last minute appointment was found just one day after I initially called in. That appointment with Nurse Practitioner Christina Sloan on a Friday afternoon resulted in her confirming the need for an endoscopy. Office support staff, (wish I could remember her name as she was fantastic working the process of insurance confirmation), were able to confirm a procedure the following Monday. The Endoscopic Center that Monday morning made the process super comfortable...one of the most efficient medical teams I've come across. A huge shout out to the schedulers, N.P. Christina Sloan, her Assistants, Dr. Sandeep Patel, the Anesthesiologist and all other nurses and support staff. Highly recommend SE Gastroenterology!

Super friendly and efficient staff. Very little wait time and although I didn't meet Dr. Patel on my first visit, Christina Sloan, PA-C was super knowledgeable and knew exactly who to refer me to for other issues. Best of all, these guys are at super convenient location in Chandler AND take my Cigna insurance AND have in-house anesthesia team (so no more frustrations dealing with exorbitant out-of-network anaesthesia bills (like I did with my previous gastro, although he was awesome!!!). A keeper!

I had bloodwork done before I left, followed up with a phone call at home to let me know the readings. I would receive a phone call as soon as my Cardiologist allowed me to go off a blood thinner for 5 days. Gave me an instruction sheet to follow for my endoscopy.

On time - professional - explained in detail what to expect for upcoming colonoscopy appointment. The whole place runs like a fine tuned machine. With the exception of that unavoidable prep…this was such a positive experience. EVERY person I came in contact with from reception, to recovery -nurses, anesthesiologist, Dr S.Patel-all truly genuinely caring and personable. We have to get these screenings done, why not have it be as positive an experience as possible? I would not hesitate to recommend this practice!

Jessica did an amazing job answering all of my questions very patiently. I’m sure I took more than the typical 15 minute appointment but I didn’t feel rushed. I do have concerns overall that on a previous visit, my doctor was told her problems were all in her head by yacht and Patel after an endoscopy showed nothing and she just has IBS. Turned out she has parasites, candida, and roundworm found by a naturopath. Although Jessica explained The reasons why their office doesn’t treat these items, But it should be noted to patients that this is an option. They can check through a naturopath when all else fails.

No one likes to have a colonoscopy but if you have to get one SEVG is the place you want to go. The staff is awesome. Dr Schron is amazing. They take the time to inform you of what you need to know, what you can expect, let you ask questions and feel comfortable and confident that you are in the best place and under the best care. DR. Bacher and the nurse Hass were really good. The check-in process was cumbersome. Appointment at 1, I was asked to check-in at 12 (remember no water from 8 am, no real food for a day and half). I was finally called in at around 2 PM. I understand other procedures might take time, but waiting for 2 hours is miserable.

The colonoscopy procedure and staff were accommodating. The doctor was backed up with procedures, so it took awhile to get through the backup. The staff, that checked me in, could’ve let all those in the waiting area know what was going on.

It is always nerve racking when you are referred to a new medical facility for tests that already make you nervous. However, from the front desk to the recovery nurses, I have to tell you that they were some of the friendliest and professional medical associates I have ever worked with. The only reason they didn’t get five stars is that the 1st appointment scheduling process did not go as smooth as I would have liked. This was my third colonoscopy at Southeast Valley Gastroenterology (SEVG). Once again, they are absolutely the best of the best! Prior to my colonoscopy, the people that do the setup and scheduling were the very best. My scheduler was Romio Rezoana and she made sure and kept me informed throughout the pre-colonoscopy process. She made sure I had all the forms and instructions necessary so that I could adequately prepare for the procedure. My doctor is Dr. Manish Amin, and he is exemplary! He not only exudes confidence and expertise, but has a wonderful bedside manner. Even though I only get a procedure every five years, he remembers me and is able to tailor our conversation to my past experience. He also made sure to talk with me after the procedure so I knew what was done, what was necessary, and my condition and any follow-up needed. The staff at SEVG is also the very best! At the endoscopy center where the procedure was performed, every person, from the initial intake desk to the various nurses and technicians, was of the most excellent, friendly, and caring quality. They offer the perfect balance of professionalism and caring! The anesthesiologist, Dr. Robin Prentice, was another top-notch professional, and took the time to explain everything, offer options, and make sure that any questions I had were answered. Dr. Yatin Patel always gives me the feeling that he has all the time in the world to listen to my issues and questions. I never feel rushed. And he is knowledgeable and thorough. I use the patient portal whenever I can, but did mention to Dr Patel that it is difficult to be put on hold for 20-30 minutes every time I phone. Most of the time my question is answered or appointment made or rescheduled in 30 seconds or less. I don’t understand why it takes so long to get through. Or at the very least, they should be able to give you an approximate wait time. I get that with some of my other doctors offices.

I wasn't happy about sitting there for that length of time or about needing to find Sonoran Quest lab & then having to stop there for the cups. I think someone should be able to get specimen cups from the lab when the only lab person is on lunch break. Other than that the office people were all very efficient, pleasant & prompt.

This is the best practice in the Valley for gastrointestinal issues. The staff go out of their way to fully assess your symptoms, and follow through with complete diagnostics before prescribing a course of action. My P.A. Mia has been wonderful. The staff schedulers work extra hard to book off-site imaging services, so patients don't have to worry about that, especially if you are new to the area. I highly recommend this location.

Everyone was very welcoming and did their best to make me feel comfortable. The procedure was simple and painless. The nursing staff was amazing with keeping me informed and relaxed. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because they are near impossible to get ahold of. I had questions about my pre-authorization; I sat on hold for what felt like an eternity only to be told they don't know anything about it. They said that is handled by another group and gave me the phone number because they couldn't transfer me. The people at that number were clueless. I finally gave up, called my insurance, confirmed they didn't submit anything but was given all of the info I needed from my insurance company. I guess they work on the idea of let's worry about finances after we're done. I feel bad for all the people who have been screwed by their lack of effort to confirm out of pocket costs. Side note, when signing in I had to use a pen from the "clean" pen holder because they were concerned about my safety but when they had me go to the second window to sign my paperwork I got to use the "community" pen that everyone else was using. I personally didn't care what pen I used but it would be nice if they were consistent with their practices.

Everything with the visit was fine, however 40 minutes before my appointment time, they called and canceled my appointment saying my insurance did not cover. I knew my insurance did cover and they insisted it did not. So we argued back and forth. I finally gave up. We double checked with my insurance and it sure enough did cover, so they called and rescheduled me. It was their mistake and they apologized but they need to be careful when checking insurance benefits and listen to the customer to see if things need to be rechecked.

Care was great. However I removed 2 stars because you will never get a complete estimate of the costs, nor any assistance after the care on explaining the costs. The office makes you sign financial responsibility papers, which you might think is OK since at the same time, they provide you the contact information for their Patient Financial Services, so that you can receive an estimate ahead of time. But this contact information is useless, as I found out the hard way. Patient Financial Services will never call you back, and there is no way to reach anyone via the phone at that number, since you are immediately directed to leave a message. Patient Financial Services never returned my message from 6 days prior to my procedure (now 8 weeks ago [6/17/2021]). At the day of the procedure, SEVG introduced me to a second doctor, who SEVG never informed me would be involved. That doctor was not from SEVG, and so that doctor sent me a $700 surprise bill a month later. After receiving this distressing bill, I left 2 more messages with SEVG Patient Financial Services. Now 2 weeks later, I still haven't heard from Patient Financial Services. It's like they don't exist. I recommend to not sign any financial agreement forms until someone provides you the estimate, and make sure you ask whether anyone else outside of SEVG will be involved, and who they are, so that you can check with your insurance - AND get all of that IN WRITING, not verbally. The surprise bill should have been covered under my insurance, but I had to call my insurance more than once to get it covered. So perhaps SEVG also didn't submit the claim correctly. Good luck. UPDATE 8/10/2021: I have not received any calls nor any phone messages nor any emails from SEVG, despite the reply below. I had to call my insurance twice and talk to 3 different people. The payment from my insurance is still pending and is expected to take 30 days. In the meantime, I am concerned about it going to collections since the procedure was nearly 2 months ago.

I give only 4 ****because this business requires to fill in questions that should not be asked. Only the government segregates people by ethnicity, marital status, financial condition and age. I refused to provide this information beyond the elements that have medical relevancy. The gentleman who saw me before the PA ( Jessica the PA was excellent) filled in information I had refused to provide as irrelevant using his judgement. As a business person If I were to ask questions about ethnic background, marital status, age , etc. I could be sued. SWVG must refuse to ask these questions. The gentleman decided that I am Hispanic which I’m not in spite of my last name. But…Why is this relevant? Why is it relevant for my treatment whether I am white, pink, black or yellow, whether I am married or not, whether I have children or not? (they are not your patients). Again, the government is still segregating people . Private business must resist.

Dr. Amin and his team took care of me very well. It was my first time to ever have a procedure and the last time I had an IV inserted in me was when I was 7 years old. I was super anxious and scared but after the anesthesia was given to me, everything else was better. It was a nice nap and after waking up, I felt no pain, just some discomfort since they had to add extra pressure to my left colon since they were smaller. A big thank you to the whole team especially to Ms. Debbie, Ms. Diane, and my anesthesiologist who were super patient, caring, and professional with me before the procedure. I felt very well taken care of.

Was pretty scared before this procedure, however I had as pleasant of a time as I could given the circumstances. Waiting in the waiting room is probably the hardest part, just because you are stressed and it makes it no fun. But as soon as I was called into the back it was a great experience. Got a super kind nurse named Joy who made me feel really safe and cared for. Then after another 15-25 mins waiting on the bed they wheeled me back into the actually procedure room where they gave me something that made me go night night, and then it was all over. Everyone I interacted with was very kind. Really the worst part is simply the "unknown." But once you actually get called back it's a piece of cake. And this is coming from someone who deals with anxiety and panic attacks.

Overall good experience. However, hard to give a five-star because of experience calling and rescheduling an appointment. I called and chose the option to have them automatically call me back. But each time they called back it only rang a four times or and then I had to call back each time to set up another call back. When I did finally talk with them, they said somebody else had to give me another call back. And then I missed that call and so I had to call them back to set up another call back.

Finally a doctor that actually spends time with me and speaks to me like I am a human being and not just a number to rush through his office. Dr Yatin Patel is the best! The front desk is nice and welcoming as well something that can be hard to come by in many Dr's offices. My only negative is that it's practically an act of congress to get anyone on the phone. Need to call and schedule an appointment? You'll be on hold for 15 minutes or longer before you even get to talk to someone. No matter what time of day you call, no matter what day of the week. It's as if the automated system doesn't actually ring in to the desk until a certain amount of time has passed. Then all the sudden you will hear a "rrrring" and someone immediately picks up. So clearly "all available agents [arent] busy assisting other users." It's just that they were not notified that someone was on hold until the 15-20 minute time stamp has passed.

Arrived on time to meet check in person in the hallway who took my temperature and sign in. She was courteous and efficient. Went to receptionist inside office who was efficient and not very courteous. I felt rushed and processed. Sat not more than 5 minutes when Donna called me back for triage. She was extremely efficient and personable. She made eye contact and called me by name. She aggressively got through the questionaire and explained everything clearly.She left. Sat not more than 7 minutes when PA Bethony arrived. Sje was immediately personable and again very efficient with her examination and questioning. She was very informative. She directed me to the scheduler, I mentioned Good Luck to her given the assumption she eas pregnant. The scheduler was extremely efficient but rushed through the directions. It got to the point where it became condescending. I asked the same question about copay and billing that Ive asked 3 times at this point, the response was it was someone elses responsinility and once again rushed through that. I was very frustrated at this point. The scheduling completed I left. Could someone please answer my question so we can properly prepare. What will be our portion of the cost with my insurance? Thank You!
