My wife and I have had our children in this hospital system and all the follow up Dr visits are with St Luke's Dr's. We can not say enough about the care given and the attention to detail. The nurses have always been great and the Dr's would listen when I spoke which was nice. They treated my wife with nothing but respect and took great care in ensuring she was comfortable. The only downfall was the fact that a spouse is not included in the opportunities to get food during the weekends and the cafeteria is closed. I was fortunate enough to have friends and family bring me food other wise I would not have had anything from Friday morning till Monday.

A family friend was taken to the hospital after a fall. He spent about 10 hours in a lovely room at the Emergency Department, and then was transferred to a room in area B (between rooms 200 and 219). Each and every member of the hospital staff whom our friend encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking, compassionate and kind. Patient, too. Personable. People people. I cannot say enough great things about each and everyone, from the receptionists in the ER to the staff in the cafeteria, to the aides, nurses, NP, doctors... and everyone in between. There are too many people to laud to mention all their names, but I hope they read this and see that they matter, that they make an important difference in our lives and the lives of so many in our community. We feel so lucky to be living near to St Luke's Hospital.

Very impressed with this facility. Every person I encountered has been wonderful!! Friendly, helpful, and have gone above and beyond. All staff are great! Nurse and doctors are the best I’ve encountered at a hospital. You are in good hands with the medical professionals at this hospital. If I had to come to a hospital again, this is where I would want to come.

Care is a 5 speed and other is negative how can you say your the main hospital for st Luke’s and have your cafe close at 7 that is underly ridiculous I know Allentown is way later and Lehigh valley is 24/7 last I checked maybe these guys should take a trip over there and see how to treat patient families

I came into the Bethlehem Campus with chest pain. A warm and speedy welcome right into a ED bed was in store for me. A full barrage of testing without delay was experienced. The compassion along with ongoing explanations was reassuring. Our St Luke’s Health System is truly; “Big City Medicine with Home Town Care”. I am grateful to live near this valuable asset that I cherish so much.

I went into the Emergency Department on 04/28/2021 at approximately 4:00 PM for abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and severe dehydration. I was taken in relativity quick and saw doctors and nurses right away. After speaking with the Resident Doctor about my condition, he said he would communicate it the supervising doctor.
The process of getting me my medication and fluids took a while after I was initially seen. I waited almost 45 minutes to just get fluids. After my first fluids were done, I explained to the doctor that I was still feeling very dehydrated which he agreed to giving me another round of fluids. When the nurse came in, I advised her of the additional fluids in which she responded, unfortunately there was never an order put in by the doctor. She said she would go speak to him and shortly thereafter, I got my fluids.
The attending doctors who are doing
the ordering of medications and tests should be doing it immediately with the patient. Anytime I've ever been to the Monroe campus of St Luke's, the doctor always put the order in on the computer in the room. I don't think patient should have to wait almost an hour to get hydrated, when they're already severely hydrated and at the verge of fainting. I know for a fact that the emergency department wasn't busy because my nurse told me it was relatively quiet and they had a little down time. I am all for the down time, but make sure the patients are getting their medications and fluids in a timely matter. I waited almost another hour to get my second bag of fluids. Overall all the nurses and technicians I had were awesome. The doctor who also did my. Ultrasound was very good as well. The attending doctors seeing the patients need to have better communication with the staff and get orders in for medication in a timely manner. People's lives are literally depending on it.

Love this Hospital. Everyone is so nice to you. . So this Hospital is #1 with me. I wouldn't go to another Hospital in my area. I was in for a couple of things buy they found a red area on my left leg diagnosed it as Cellulitis which I had previously much worse. They gave me an intervenes antibiotic which took care of the main reason I was in plus the Cellulitis. Both are gone now thanks to them! Had gone to another area Hospital with that orange area on my leg they never noticed it or mentioned it. St Lukes is so right on with new proven technology to help with everything. St Lukes is my Hospital and always will be! Thank you St Lukes!

I had my baby at St. Luke's in Bethlehem and it was a great experience! My obgyn is amazing and performed the c section with no issues. Then my aftercare was more then I thought it would be. The nurses were attentive, polite and kind. They helped with everything I needed! My baby was in the room with me the whole time and we were always checked up on and the nursing head came around daily to see if I had any issues that needed to be addressed. I had a few favorite nurses in there that went above and beyond. I really enjoyed my time there and the care they gave me and my baby.

I was brought to St Luke’s by Paramedics due to
a precipitous drop in my BP.I was treated by ER nurses and attendants immediately, with great care and professionalism . Everyone I came into contact with in the ER ,including housekeeping staff, were considerate and kind to me. It helped so much to feel treated gently and with competence when you are so vulnerable and helpless . All staff was exceptional .
I had the same experience when I was admitted to the 3rd floor for observation. The nurses, , nursing assistants, tech assistants, nutrition staff and housekeeping were all efficient, professional and attentive to my needs.
Dr Mangani was very thorough with my diagnosis and treatment . He was also willing to accommodate my schedule regarding discharge from the hospital .
I’m from NYC and have been in hospitals there ,and I have to say -St Luke’s is best hospital experience I have ever had .!! Thank you all so much !!!

My husband has been seen by many doctors, at various Hospitals in Eastern PA. St. Luke's (Dr. Reily, *surgeon for Gastroenterology *) and the entire nursing staff on the 8th floor of St. Luke's Bethlehem main campus gave my husband and myself outstanding compassion and care, patience and friendly attention. Thank you to All that finally gave my husband a better way of life.

I had a great experience with this hospital. They saved my father’s life in the emergency room. The trauma team along with the trauma attending, Dr. Thomas. I could not be more grateful for the care they provided. I am very grateful for all of the work and time they took with their care. Dr. Thomas was informative and called to update me on my father’s status. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. The ICU nurses the first day of our stay, Susan and Brett, were supportive with my dad and with our family. I am grateful for all of their work and effort and support. There was only one person of the multiple people that had a negative impact on his stay and that is the PA Stacy Stainer in the ICU. She was rude, with atrocious bedside manor. But we are grateful for our experience and the many others who kept my father alive. He is our family’s rock and I have him in my life because of all the amazing people at this hospital.
Theresa Eisenbraun
I had a few day stay . I was in room 729 . I don’t know how to express the kindness , compassion & professional group of people ! They are all truly amazing! If the whole world could be like this , it certainly would be better place ! 💕💕💕💕💕 …

I am a New Yorker and biased toward NYC hospitals. When my son was hospitalized at St. Luke's for emergency appendectomy I was anxious. My son ran fevers for several days, and I was consulting outside doctors, even considering transfer. I couldn't have been more wrong. Every member of the staff from the surgeon and his staff, to the nurses, to the patient care team, to the women who cleaned the room, were professional, considerate and caring. The doctors and nurses were responsive to my questions and concerns and proved to me at several turns that they knew what they were doing. In addition to the great care, the hospital is newly renovated, and most of the rooms are private. Ours even had a shower! I feel my son got excellent medical care at St. Luke's. Thanks to everyone in W3, P6 and Red Surgery!

I ended up in the ER on Saturday December 4th due to falling very ill with Covid. The amount of sick patients was overwhelming for me. I can’t imagine working in that day environment and doing their very best despite staffing shortages and such a high stress environment. I wanted to take the time out to mention some
Of thr doctors and nurses who really went above and beyond in patient care. I’m sorry my memory is a little cloudy so if I miss your name, please don’t take offense. You all rocked and work very hard! RN Michael- She was an absolute God send with an incredible attitude and love for her patients. RN Dan, Christine, and Heidi. All rockstars that made me feel better about being so sick. Dr. Raj-Always smiling and truly listened to me. The ER doc- I’m sorry I forgot your name. You were funny when you asked me how long I was on the floor after falling about I told you some crazy amount of time and thankfully my Dad was there telling you the correct length of time ha ha! Thank You to all and I’m sorry for any names I missed! Oh big shout out to the lady who found my phone! You guys rock! St Luke’s please give your employees raises and bonuses! They deserve it.

About a month ago I was in the ER and had a wonderful experience! From the doctors, to the nurses, to the woman who checked me in- all wonderful! I was there for approximately 4/5 hours and the entire time I was there the staff made me feel very comfortable. As someone who is very anxious it was nice to be taken care of and not have my feelings dismissed as "just anxiety." Although it was not much more than that, the doctor ran several test to be sure. I am very thankful for this experience and would highly recommend St.Luke's!

So like my experience was quick they admitted me fast but had me waiting quite a while in the room and when the doctor came in she was looking for that ear thingy but couldn't find so she stole from the other room and called my right beautiful but quickly saw the issue in my left ear and then prescribed me medication.
So basically what I'm saying is in I got my ear touched and I was charged for it......... Hey at least unlike the other hospital I went to that sprayed water in my ear this place did not.

I'm in a long term stay here and I love the care and positivity I've received. ✨️

My father has been receiving post-op care at this facility following a bout with colon cancer. The staff has been excellent and the care, exceptional. Highly recommended.

Very modern and clean hospital. Everyone is very polite and professional. Family member had 2 surgeries there and the care was more than I expected. Overall, St. Luke's, in general, is a great hospital system. Allentown hospital was also good.
Martina Girgis
I’m currently here right now after 3+ days and the nurses/Patient Care Assistants were all so sweet and kind. Shelly the nurse was the best and always made me laugh. Even the people in the ICU checked on me a lot. For the people that cared for me when I was in a coma, thank you!
Patricia Mazza
In the past 11 months my husband had been here more than 40 days for very serious heart issues. Not only did they save his life but they were able to give him quality of life. The doctors are amazing and the nursing staff treats you like family. We can’t say enough good things about St. Luke’s!
Da BIGOMN
Loved it the food portions are big and their Swiss and ham omelettes are so good I'm still trying to emulate them at home. Plus the rooms are in that 1920s noire style really awesome.

I took my uncle in for abdominal pain. He came all the way from NC to see a dr & the doctor that attended him was nice & all, but I a little upset that he misdiagnosed him, he diagnosed him with a small abdominal aneurysm. He went home to NC & to a familiar dr & that dr told him he is constipated and he has no aneurysm. Thank God, but they should really set their game up.

I want to express my appreciation to the physicians and staff of SLH Bethlehem for providing expert care to me recently. It was not clear what the problem was when I was admitted. The staff, including imaging, renal and ID as well as internal medicine specialists chose supportive care and no antibiotic for what was likely a virus. As it turns out they correctly managed my illness. I am grateful to the attentive nursing staff of the 3rd floor, Bethlehem campus, Dr. Joe Jacobs and the internal medicine staff. I received caring and kind treatment by the nurses, residents and staff. Also, they recovered my iPad and returned it to me. Thanks very much. Wesley P. Kozinn, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Had an amazing experience at this ER for my daughter compared to Cedar Crest. The nurses knew what they were doing, the doctor was quick but thorough. My only complaint for the ER is that the sheets had some kind of stain on them, when my daughter peed and they rereplac the sheets, the newer sheets also had a stain. On top of that the staff did continuously leave dirty stuff around. Instead of taking used blankets were couldn't us anymore, they left them piled on the bed, packaging for various things they used were left on the bed as well. Better experience all around especially since this wasn't a pediatric ER. But I do expect basic hygiene and cleanliness to be observed while in an ER.

I was admitted for hysterectomy surgery August 2, 2019. I ended up having surgery here as the oncologist I was referred to from the Er stated that Stroudsburg is not equipped for surgeries or deliveries yet. My first 2 Er visits at Stroudsburg Er was not so pleasing. The wait time and not so friendly Er nurses. I had better care at Lehigh Valley Er. After the surgery the care on each shift were not consistant. Some were 🌟 and others only offered to do the mere basic and it showed. I even had to mention this to a Pca on night shift as I began experiencing night sweats and needed clothing and linen changed. She basically handed me new pillowcases and was not looking to help in any other way. The hospital is pretty clean and I would say that overall it seems like a well equipped hospital. I know working at a hospital can be tiresome. Trust me.
When you are a patient for the most part you really don't want to have to be needy or ask for help. But.. You are now in pain and NEED HELP! Even the surgeon oncologist showed me signs of unempathy as he was quick to have me discharged. I had to speak to a case worker and call the health insurance to .be able to stay an extra night
This caused me much distressed and anxiety that I really did not need as my focus was trying to begin the path of recovery!! I have a post p.o. followup with this doctor and just as I am stating all these facts. I plan to speak to him about how he made me feel after surgery. I am not certain if I will continue after care with him. But.. He was pleasant and reassuring my visits prior surgery. I am open to giving him another chance as no one is perfect. In conclusion, I believe when a patient truly needs empathy is more so AFTER surgery. As you are now dealing with physical, emotional and mental concerns.

Great place. Our baby boy was born 12 weeks early and tomorrow he is set to he discharged from a 7 week stay in the nicu. The nurses have been absolutely wonderful and are knowledgeable. They make you feel calm and communicate with you continuously to make sure that you never feel alone. Ontop of that, the cafeteria is much better than youd ever expect a hospital cafeteria to be. The staff is friendly, quick, and serve up some great meals. My wife and I have been fortunate to end up here. If I had the chance to change I wouldnt.

Had surgery on Sept 9, 2019. Dr Nwachuku is amazing. The nursing staff were on top of their game - very attentive and helpful. I had a short stay there but was very impressed with the hospital and all the disciplines who worked with me to ensure I was safe to go home.

Admitted last week for Zephyr lung valve placement which required a 4 night stay in the
ICU.
The care I received was extraordinary and I felt that the caregivers were actually personal friends, that's how friendly and caring they are. Highly recommended.

My aged mother has been in the Priscilla Payne Hurd unit for a week now. Her nursing care has been good. The room has been clean and the staff has been attentive. However, there has been some passive resistance to keeping her children informed of her status. The hospital is in the middle of a health records system conversion, and the patient information available to authorized persons at other, more updated hospitals is not yet available to family members at St. Luke’s facilities.
This facility was established in the latter decades of the 19th century, so everything about it requires an understanding that it is built into the side of a hill. Parking is difficult and far from patient rooms unless visitors use valet parking. It is an urban hospital and a trauma center, so it is a good place to be taken if you have been injured in a car accident or shot. If you are electing to have surgery with a St. Luke’s doctor, consider using the Anderson campus on Route 33 if at all possible. That property is new and has convenient parking.
Some of the concerns I have put forward will be resolved by February 2018 when the new patient information system is made available to all. Others, like parking, are not likely to improve.

Today was a good experience. I was with Dr. Vicky ... and staff In Quakertown, PA emergency room. This is the second time they treated me in the ER. Both occasions were illness after flu or pneumonia shots. I have hard time dealing with health matters. When I get sick I am usually a bull in the china shop. They performed the tests made there findings and prescribed. The real up side was when I asked to discuss things with the Dr Vicky .... that were bothering me. I care for my 100 year old mother who just completed a heart pacemaker generator/battery replacement. All of these things had me weighted down well in addition to my personal flu like illness. I described concerns to her we discussed it she made here recommendations and satisfied my need to deal with my tasks. One does not always get this kind of treatment and kindness. My other experiences in that ER were good. This was far above my treatment experiences in the past. Go there!

Great hospital, great nurses and great doctors. However, their affiliated Family physicians have now been geared toward Corporate Insensitivity and Greed. No more are you asked how you are doing. In fact you are specifically told before you enter the office for your appointment that you are not allowed to discuss anything other than the ONE issue you made the appointment for. Anything else requires a new appointment, new co-pay, i.e. more money in their pockets.

My mother has been here 7 days so far, emergency, great service, then ICU same, very caring employees, I remember the most Margaret, her kindness with my mom touch my heart. Then my mother was move to a patient room, the same GREAT service.
I want you to now, that sometimes when they don't move as fast as we will like to, maybe is no bed, maybe the people all ready in are VERY serious ill. They need time to do the GREAT JOB we all wants.
THANKS, St Lukes employes for a GREAT SERVICE.
BLESSINGS

Today, I had an appointment with Dr. Reilly at Anderson Campus,, which I was dreading to the point of making myself sick. I had a delicate, embarrassing issue to finally address, and I was not looking forward to the visit. From the time I entered the examining room and met two wonderful nurses, I began to believe I could really get through it. They listened to my humiliating symptoms with compassion, then told me I would have to tell the doctor again when he came in....not a pleasant thought, but when I met Dr. Reilly, he listened attentively, examined me as gently as he could, and reassured me that he felt I would be able to live a normal life again., after some testing and life changes. What a relief! Thank you Dr. Reilly and staff for listening and caring. You are the best!!!!

My name is Greyci Tineo. Last week I came to Bethlehem for work purposes from Virginia. Got sick as soon as I got to the Hotel. Next morning I knew I needed medical attention. Thank God I decided to stop by the emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital. What a wonderful team of professional Doctors, Nurses, Food & Sanitation personnel. Even though I was away from home and very sick they made me feel I was home. They took excellent care of me. Today I was released and going back home. I will be forever thankful to this wonderful team of professionals. 10/02/2020

Nurse Katie from the fountain hill ICU has been the most caring and compassionate nurse that I have ever encountered. I hope she knows how much she means to our family during this difficult time. She is so knowledgeable and caring. You are very lucky to have her! Thank you so much Katie from the bottom of our heart!

My son, 7 weeks early, has been in NICU for about 11 days. In all honesty, I judged this place based on looks. I will eat my words for the rest of my life. An emergency c section delivery, in 12 minutes. A very early baby, and my son and wife are very healthy. All because they know what they are doing

My 9 year old son just had a several day stay in the pediatric unit of this hospital in Bethlehem due to him having both the flu type b, and rhabdomyolysis. From the moment he got transported there from the Upper Bucks Campus ER he was in great hands. I have to say that I was particularly impressed with almost every doctor (we saw 6), I was blown away at what amazing nurses they have in that unit, and in that duration of time my son was there I felt he got the best care! Nurse Kim, Nurse Samm, and Dr. Bram Sakdiponephong were absolutely incredible! Thank you!
paul Denar
I was in the hospital for over 6 months. Had 17-19 surgeries in about 10 day span . Dr Luke, Dr Hoye,Dr Benton ARE THE BEST And when it comes to wound care.. JILL IS SECOND TO NONE. All the nurses on the 7th floor ROCK. They are my family. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about all of them. I own them my life. I Would like to give a shout out to the male nurse I believe was in the ICU. Ponytail glasses I forget your name you were awesome. This is RAY TITTERMARY I LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL

I dislocated my hip last week. I was in the ER, nurses, drs, aides, all personnel were super kind patient and helpful. I have only great things to say about st Luke’s
Tracey Marseglia
Would of gotten 5 stars if the one nurse on the Peds floor wasn't so rude and disrespectful, and knew how to do her job. But they made my 1 month old, premature granddaughter better which was all that I cared about. If the only thing I had to worry about was one snippy nurse, and the fact that she didn't know her job to make my Vienna Rose all better, it was worth it.
Arlene Wolfe
I have been to both Anderson campus, and Ostrum campus. Anderson was better, hands down, but only because of one night nurse at Ostrum (she was a horrid disrespectful creature). the staff is attentive to ones needs (for the most part), and the food is good. What more could one ask for!? The folks that left poor reviews have zero understanding of how the hospital system works, nor do they have even a 3rd grade education based on the spelling and grammar. Take the negative reviews with several grains of salt due to them being jaded. St. Luke's has been a good choice for me...better than the "other" regional choice!
Tiffany Perks
The staff here has always been amazing. The ED works as quick as they can and are extremely polite under pressing situations. Mind you, the ED works on the most important issues first before lesser matters. They staff works incredibly hard....incredibly. This is a great learning hospital and because of that, it makes them a great network. I'll always choose St. Luke's first.

Let me just start by saying, thank you to every Doctor, Nurse & staff member @ St.Lukes these people are the Best. About a year ago my father had a stroke in the middle of the night, he was transported to the St.lukes hospital in Allentown, where he received fast, responsive great care. He was then transfered to St. Lukes in Bethlehem to undergo a operation. Needless to say, they saved his life, from the ER to the Operation, to post op, to the out patient, they have always gone way above, to treat their patients with great care!! Thank you again, I will forever been in your debt..
Amber Heimbach

Thank you to the great Surgeon that I had , and A very Special Thank You To the night nurses ⚘HANNAH⚘, Patrick, drew and Eric, wished I knew there Last Names , Especially one name but thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Mixed feelings...sometimes they listen, sometimes I just want to punch all the staff in the face... Shouldn't be stuck 9 times for an iv.. Shouldn't have to beg for a procedure to prove what I know is wrong with my own body.. On the other hand some of the nicest nurses and doctors I've dealt with are from here too... Idk at this point considering doing a home birth than trusting this wishy washy b.s. My first child was born in Virtua Voorhees NJ... St. Luke's should pay them a visit and learn a whole bunch of stuff.. Esp. In the labor and delivery ward.... Not hard to listen to a pt. That is having a difficult pregnancy... Just saying

I had back surgery 6 weeks ago my name is Gene (my wife's email account) Dr. Sokunbi, and all the staff were all courteous and professional Dr. Sokunbi answered all my questions and took time giving me the information and a realistic outcome of the discectomy of my ruptured disc that was against my nerve causing discomfort. I have no more discomfort or pain and feeling great. I would seek Dr. Sokunbi's help again and highly recommend him.

I only picked up some medications for a friend. There was dedicated parking for the pharmacy so I was in and out in 15 minutes.

World class. I live in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area and work in the medical field. I am so glad my family member is at St. Lukes and not at one of our hospitals. He wouldn't be here today without them.
