My daughter had emergency appendectomy surgery here after an urgent care center sent her home telling her nothing was wrong! The staff at Ochsner Baptist Hospital took great care of her, even putting her in an ICU bed when no regular bed was available. As a parent living in Penna., it was nerve-wracking not being able to be there for my daughter. When I called the ICU after her surgery to get a status, Renee was phenomenal in tracking down information even when she was not the main nurse providing my daughter's care. As the ICU would not normally handle an appendix case, she went out of her wait to look through many systems to get me the care after surgery information I needed. And she even offered to call me back with more information when it became available. While my adult daughter was certainly capable of keeping us informed when she was awake, it was good to know she had a team at Ochsner willing to calm a mom and dad who were more than a thousand miles away. The surgery went well and she only had to stay overnight. Thank you.

My stay at Baptist Hospital was the best experience that one could have under the circumstances. The staff went above and beyond to do everything they could to keep me comfortable during my stay. They were covering me with blankets until I was warm, stuffing pillows all around me too get my back to stop hurting and even went as far as applying essential oils when I asked them to. They were very open to my holistic approach when I discussed such things with them. The food was delicious giving me a menu to choose from for every meal. This is the hospital that I would want to be treated any time I have to be admitted. Thank you to all the doctors and staff for a pleasant stay!

I have been coming to Ochsner in New Orleans for more than four years now, and can honestly say that without exception I have been responded to with courtesy, professionalism and good will. I have, in that time , only once waited more than 15 minutes and received an apology for that unavoidable delay. I am impressed with the basically cheerful and thoughtful attitudes of all the staff I have encountered. And this is all in addition to the superb medical care I have received! I wholeheartedly recommend the Ochsner medical system!

The staff were quite helpful. No one was unkind to us. My daughter had surgery. I was pleased to receive updates on her progress. The only issue we had was multiple buildings and parking lots. We got lost quite a bit. Again we're assisted by security when lost.

I love the MyOschner app and how easy it is to see all of my labs, messages, upcoming appointments etc. Sometimes the wait to get into see a doctor is longer, but I like that I can message them and get a quick response If I have a question. I love that all my doctors work together to take care of my health care needs.

I was experiencing the worst pain of my life. I was worried the ER staff wouldn't believe me despite my crying. I'm going to recognize publicly Rachel RN, Courtney RN and Cassen NP. Not only did they provide excellent and compassionate care, they didn't hesitate to jump into action. They all checked on me frequently after receiving pain meds. God forbid i need to return to ER, it will definitely be Baptist.

Ochsner Baptist has excellent healthcare providers and staff. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Ochsner Baptist has nearly every healthcare service available in one location. Ochsner Baptist includes a large clinic ranging from primary care to highly specialized doctors; a comprehensive Imaging Center; a world-class hospital; and a well staffed and efficient Emergency Room. They are conveniently located from all parts of Orleans Parish and beyond. They provide complimentary valet and free parking and there is a restaurant and a P J’s coffee outlet. Ochsner Baptist is my primary healthcare facility. It is tremendous!

Two things to mention: Five stars to the staff as they gave us a terrific service, everything was perfect and Dr Band was an excellent Doctor. For the billing I would say -10 stars: they have sent FOUR accounts already paid to collection and always the burden of proof is on you. You have to contact your HSA Bank to get the scan of the checks and a zillion of requirements. The billing portion of Ochsner is mediocre and rude. But the medical side is top notch.

I go to Ochsner Baptist Outpatient Clinic for care by Dr. Michael Darrin a Sleep Doctor. Dr. Michael Darrin is a patient, kind, knowledgeable physician. He takes his time answers all questions and covers all issues with his exams. I feel very confident with the care he provides. He is the reason I go to Baptist outpatient clinic. I have also received care in the Outpatient Radiology Department. I believe the care Provided there to be efficient, appointments received on appointed time with friendly, caring Staff.

1st time at the location, 1st time meeting the doctor and staff . I need a little help to do X-rays then go to the office appointment. Everyone that worked at the hospital was polite and helped me get to where I needed to go. Doctor Ross Dunbar was excellent!! Professional, caring, and showed compassion. Explaining everything that was wrong and how to correctly fix it . His whole staff in office were extremely nice and professional. Highly recommend from my point of view .

On 1/26/22 I was admitted to Ochsner Baptist Labor & Delivery for a planned induction as my daughter was overdue, and I had a lot of fear surrounding the experience. It was incredibly difficult and terrifying to go through, but I am convinced that I wouldn't have made it through it all without my amazing care team. Catherine Badeaux and Jamie Pelaez from the Alternative Birthing Clinc moved to L&D to help through labor and deliver my baby, and were absolutely life changing. Nurse Amelia on 1/27/22 also deserves incredible mention for her support. I seriously don't think I could've gone through this experience without her by my side. I also had a visit during this pregnancy to the L&D ER and adored the staff I met there as well. All of the midwives and nurses in the ABC were amazing and the care I received during my pregnancy was wonderful. The CNM's were so knowledgeable and everything they recommended during treatment made significant differences in the way I felt going home. Highly recommended as well I will never ever stop recommending Ochsner for any Healthcare needs!!! I've gone to them for as long as I can remember and have never felt unheard or ignored or not taken seriously, but my experience in the most difficult and potentially traumatic event of my life sealed the deal. If there is any doubt of where you should deliver your baby, I beg you to reconsider. 50/5 for the care given at Ochsner Baptist

I had a Great Experience with OCHSNER Baptist. Fron the pre-op through the post-op. Dr. Rogers (anesthesiologist) met with me prior to the surgery. She went over everything with me and explained what would happen on the day of surgery and then after discharge. She was very thorough. The nursing staff on the fourth floor were Excellent! They prepared me well for surgery and prepared me well for my discharge on the same day. They were very attentive without being invasive. The entire staff from check in to discharge were GREAT! This is my third procedure at OCHSNER Baptist and all of the procedures went exactly as planned.

The only thing is somehow as the babies belongings were transferred from one room to the next his blanket was lost, but what do you do? Katrina Wade, MD was very personable, displayed exceptional bedside manners and answered all of my questions. What won me over was her detailed yet easy-to-understand explanation and she did not rush the consultation. Dr. Wade's PA and intake nurse, Annie and Stephanie, were just as professional and friendly. However, I would suggest the same atmosphere be present at the receptionist/clerk desk. In MY OPINION, the clerk was not crude, but she was not very warm and welcoming. She is the first person to greet the public and oftentimes that could set the tone of the appointment, especially for women who are in need of critical care at that office.

Ochsner Baptist hospital is hands down one of the best facilities to get proper care from in New Orleans at least for Mothers to be. I passed several hospitals to get to OBH to deliver not one but both of my children. My nurses are always nice and professional. I always feel safe and confident that they are doing a great job and putting my health and my baby’s health first. I also love the doctors working in the OBED. Everyone works together to create a stress free environment for mom and baby. There is one nurse in particular that has stolen my heart and that is Ms.Eddie. Ms.Eddie is by far one of the best nurses if not thee best nurse in Mother Baby. She lights up the room when she walks and she is friendly and easy to talk to. I wish I could take Ms Eddie home with me and keep her forever. She has the kindest spirit and soul. She will never make you feel uncomfortable or annoying. She will let you ask her a million and one questions even if they don’t make sense. She won’t judge. Ms Eddie is a big book of knowledge. She also has some of grandma’s secret magic dust. I have only known her for 3 days but for some strange reason I feel like I have known longer. Ms.Eddie is truly one in a million and Ochsner is really lucky to have such and amazing nurse.

This hospital is TOP KNOTCH! I was having severe stomach pains and went to their ER. Everyone there was amazing. The doctor on call actually listened to MY concerns instead of telling me what HE though was wrong with my body. He even admitted that my “diagnosis” was correct LOL it was my gallbladder. They did a thorough exam of my body and did all they could to make sure I remained comfortable. The staff treated me with concern and kindness the entire time. I can’t say enough about the great staff and how hospitality everyone was. From the techs to transport, security, nurses, the doctors... they all get an A+ in my book!

I want to recognize two nurses that are so above and beyond the call of duty. I'm so grateful for this hospital, the concern, attention, and genuine love of the people here. Jasmine and Olivia have just provided the absolute best care, competent, attentive, they never make me feel like I'm bothering them. I try not to of course, but when I do need something they act as a good friend that is willing and able to address my needs/concerns. My doctor, Diago Torres has true concern and he follows the process all the way through. He did a major surgery on me and I have had no complications with that surgery and it was a huge surgery. He actually made the area look better than before the surgery, it’s amazing. If you or your family has any need for services please do yourself a favor and choose Oshner they are a cut above in every area, when their food service is amazing!!!

The Covid vaccine team at Ochsner Baptist was superb -- efficient, cordial, reassuring, and helpful. I arrived early for my booster shot appointment and was escorted in immediately with only one person ahead of me. Got the shot within three minutes of arrival, and even with the 15-minute observation period after the shot I was done and gone by the time of my appointment. Seamless experience with a great team!

My wife and I called for an appointment Monday morning and received an 11:55am appointment. We arrived on time and received our 3rd shot immediately. We waited our fifteen minutes to make sure we had no reactions. We are extremely happy with the process and the manner in which we were treated.

I was extremely happy with my overall experience at Ochsner Baptist. Before my arrival I was sent reminders (via text) and the staff made sure I knew just where I was going in these multiple buildings. Upon arrival signage was clear and I got to my appointment without confusion. They young lady that checked me in was very personable and so very kind when I had somehow not completed my check in questionnaire. My only disappointment came at the end of my appointment. My doctor wants to do a follow up procedure in a couple of months. The date I was given was not good for me and my family. Instead of checking on a new date, the nurse told me to call the number on the appointment sheet. I would have appreciated it if I could have changed the date while I was there.

The medical staff is excellent but the garage logistics and the problems created in getting to the right location are issues that are difficult to overcome. I think signage, help desks, etc are as good as they can be; but the problems are just baked in. Leaving extra time to get to the doctors’s offices helps. But again, the care is excellent; and that’s what is most important.

Amazing staff. I went to another ER and waited 9 hours to be turned away without hesitation. I was in and out of Ochner within 3 hours. They followed up with me and I had surgery within a few days. Wait time was what I expected. However there was a gentleman in the waiting area cutting up. I felt he should have been separated from the area. The check in process was very smooth. Incredible staff. Very patient and super informative. I was very nervous going in for any surgery but the nurses, the front desk staff, the anesthesiologist, let alone my doctor all gave me great comfort with direct eye contact. First time at this location and I was impressed by the friendly staff, well the actual part where I got temperature check wasn't very attentive and didn't greet me, I stood in front the temp check 3 times before she handed me the sticker with no instructions. The person that directs you when you get ofv the elevator was very helpful and friendly. One I got pass the temperature check to the suite tbe check-in was easy, tbe young lady was awesome. Acted like she knew me, which was comforting and her customer service skills were great. The nursing staff and the Dr was amazing, very compassionate and listened. I was put at ease and felt safe.

I recently went to Ochsner Baptist's Emergency Room due to sever abdominal pain. The experience was wonderful, which is not normally the case with emergency room visits. Everyone was very communicative, attentive and my pain was managed quickly so that I could focus and function. They gave me an estimate of how long I could expect to wait for each step of my visit and everything ran very close to that schedule. Being in the hospital for any reason usually creates anxiety so it was very nice to have that recognized and addressed in such a professional and thoughtful way. Bravo!

I have been to the Imaging Center on various occasions, and always find it very pleasant! I almost never have to wait more than a few minutes, the reception staff is cordial and efficient. On one occasion I had to wait a considerable length of time, but the staff continued to update me on the delay and to apologize for inconveniencing me. Among over a dozen encounters, that is an acceptable record! Every tech or attendant has been highly competent, professional and caring. My most recent visit has prompted this review.

Having never been admitted to a hospital in my life, I really had no idea what to expect. I was a direct admit from an outpatient Ochsner location for a pretty serious infection...that was going septic. Once I arrived and was transported to the Med-Surg Inpatient unit on Clara 3, the nursing care I received was top notch. They put me at ease despite having something that was more serious than I first thought. I hope I never see the inside of a hospital as a patient ever again, but Ochsner Baptist did a great job.

I had a wonderful experience with labor and delivery. However 7 months later I was sent a bill for a newborn hearing screening done at Ochsner before discharge. Even though I have OCHSNER HMO insurance my insurance would not cover this service due to it being out of network. Turns out Ochsner outsources the hearing screening through a separate company. MOMS please make sure this addressed prior to delivery. No one told us it was out of network or outsourced through an outside company. I was not happy with this surprise bill and you will not be either.

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly by the Security Guard who led me to the sweetest lady at the registration desk. I immediately told her that I feel bad for not having insurance right now but I'll be covered again soon, she assured me that I would be taken care of, no worries. Turns out I have pneumonia. Went to Ochsners Baptist in New Orleans for Covid shots 1 and 2. I was so impressed with how well Ochsner organized the event to process thousand's of people without a long wait. I walked in for both shots and was immediately directed to the clinic. In less than three minutes I had a shot and sat in the 15 minute waiting area to verify I had no reaction. It is really nice to see Ochsner can provide great medical service during a crisis.

4.5. We thought we would have the option of staying in our car until it was our turn for vaccination but we entered and everyone was lined up waiting their turn. (Otherwise it would be rated 5.0) Everyone was wearing masks but my hubby was a little panicky when he saw a line of people. We are so GRATEFUL he was able to get the vaccine. Great execution on the part of OHS and the entire team of employees and volunteers to help the NOLA community. Thank you!!!

The actual rating for service would be 4.5. But I must lower rating for ADA compliance. The clinic is not easily accessible when using a mobility device such as Walker, wheelchair, or scooter. It is understandable that the building is older with narrow aisles and corridors. But pulling heavy doors while maneuvering your device is not only difficult it is hazardous. On more than one occasion I have witnessed elderly or infirmed individuals very nearly falling. I suggest a member of staff use one or more of these devices and move about the clinics to test the access of the clinics.

This is my 2nd review, the 1st was a survey sent to me while I was still at the hospital about to be discharged. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of the hospital, the staff, care and surgery aspects of my stay was very good and things went smoothly although I was asked by my attendants to move myself into my bed from gurney after coming out of recovery, (mastectomy and lymph node removal on left side) looking back now, I don't think they should have done that; my 2nd complaint is that after my discharge, and it has been a week now, I have not heard from the hospital nor my doctors to check on me and see how I am doing. Other than being told that if I have any swelling, redness or fever to come back, no other thought was given to my aftercare nor recovery. This was my first time using an Oscner hospital and for me, this is something I feel the hospital needs to be addressed. A caring hospital, as Oschner claims to be, would at least do a follow call on their patients. I've had smaller, less difficult procedures done at my local hospital and recieved a checkup call the next day.

They do a great job with social distancing and communicating effectively during your visit. I went in for the vaccine and would give 5 stars, BUT I had a sadist for a nurse who jammed the needle into my arm with unnecessary force. I’m not skittish about needles or pain, but this was incredibly rude and ridiculous. Monitor your nurses please, this woman was a piece of work, and shouldn’t be allowed to stick anyone with a needle. No wonder New Orleans is having a hard time convincing people to get vaccinated.

I came into the OB emergency room feeling really awful and it turned out I had HELLP syndrome. They identified the problem very quickly and tried their best to give me as much time as possible for my baby’s lungs to further develop unfortunately I wasn’t able to get stable for that and I ended up with a C-section delivery very early in the am and sadly before I got to see my family. I was terrified but the staff were very helpful and made me feel at ease. When I woke up (the time I remember waking up anyway) my family was there for me and my sweet little man was in the NICU. I spent several days in the hospital until I was able to take care of myself at home and I got to go see my little man every day! Now that I’m home I luckily get to go see him a few times a day and he’s doing so great I even get to hold him! The entire staff that took care of me were the best and the food I was feed was amazing! I suggest the quesadilla! Now that my baby is in the NICU I know he couldn’t be in better hands his nurses are amazing!!! I know he’s getting the absolute best care! I can’t wait to get him home but I can sleep knowing he’s getting the support he deserves. The nurses he regularly gets are so sweet too and I can tell the nurse that signed up for him really cares! We’re so blessed and thankful that we came to this hospital and got put in the best NICU possible! 💖💖💖 Also thank you so much to the Mr. Drew Brees for donating the cameras in the NICU!!! I love that my family can see our little guy even when they can’t travel to us! 💖💖💖

I suffer pain. For over 10 years now. Dr. Eissa is excellent. He listens. He shows, "real concern". No joke. He cares. After listening, he asked very focused questions for clairfication and vreification. Then, somehow...he can process in his mind...all my issues. Lord knows how...but, he does it. Then, he will make suggestions...and will, formulate a plan for me. Ive never had this before. He is a doctor of high integrity and focus...i am so thankful...he is my doctor...things are looking up!
