Wendy OlugbodiThe 3 stars is me being generous because of the fantastic staff. They could have gotten 5 stars except that the final nurse that attended to me ruined it. I spent a total of 6 hours when I could have been done in 3. The first 2 and half hours went efficiently and smoothly with the splendid health care workers, but the remaining hours was spent with an RN that just didn't care. Sat for 3 and half hours waiting to be discharged. I had to refuse drip because she didn't seem to know how to put an IV in and I was scared of being stabbed multiple times to no avail. At the end of the day, she ended up giving me wrong discharge documentation which is contrary to what the doctor told me about my condition and what I saw on the ultrasound. That was really scary but my faith didn't make me have panic attack but I'd have to go to another hospital. Health care job should be for people who truly care.

Daisy ValadezSecurity guard at the emergency department check in point was very professional, respectful, and understanding. Mr. Soriano is one of the best security officers I’ve ever seen. He definitely has it right. He is the first face you see in the first point of contact very important that you grade it properly because if not right there and then you walk away. He will be the only reason why I decide to give a second chance to this hospital. I saw him handle a young lady who was either on drugs, or God knows what was wrong with her. What I do know is Mr. Soriano handled it properly kept his cool, never raise his voice and kept a professional. I applaud you, sir.
K I'mI mean, it's a medical facility. I was sick and now I'm not so I guess the job got done but the experience wasn't pleasant. Most of the staff was pleasant but the wait to get seen buy anyone that did anything besides take my vitals was ridiculous. I almost left before getting seen by a doctor, which I actually never did. I got admitted overnight and released the next day. I only got to see a m.d. on my follow up visit and that was quick and pleasant.

I found this place while on Medi-Cal in search of a new psychiatrist, I am soon switching to a PPO and will definitely be staying with MLKCH. I’m really grateful I was able to find such an incredible provider on Medi-Cal, options can feel very limited.
I’m an adult with severe ADHD who was considering pursing treatment again after nearly 20 years but was feeling nervous. I came to MLKCH after having an awful experience with a psychiatrist elsewhere. When calling to get set up- there was practically no hold times, everyone was so nice, and they got me in very quickly- I think it was two weeks compared to most places being over a month. They also offer virtual appointments which I love.
The doctor I got booked with is Dr. Tashkandi. This guy is absolutely amazing !!!! The last psychiatrist I had really rushed things, didn’t take a proper history, etc - I really felt like a number. Unfortunately I think that can be a pretty common experience with psychiatrists since they are mostly managing meds. Dr. Tashkandi however was incredibly thorough, caring and attentive- asking lots of questions to really personalize my treatment and make sure we were doing what would be best for me. I have some complicated concurrent medical conditions, which he was very knowledgeable about and took into consideration when discussing treatment. He explained truly every option- really giving me agency to make my own health decisions while giving me all the info I needed to do so. He eased my concerns and answered all my questions.
His team is also really on top of things! I had an issue with getting ahold of records from another facility- they were very efficient and helpful in getting ahold of those. After appointments, they call in any needed medications right away and promptly schedule follow ups. Really the best experience all around !
Eye4 CyouI've been here on 2 different occasions. And I must say that the STAFF. Are ABOVE AVERAGE, FRIENDLY, WARM OPEN AND INVITING. I GREW up 2 blocks away and from the 90s until now. It has made such a major impact in this Area.
Fast effective, efficient service. While waiting you will have your vitals ran, height, weight, blood drawn. So when it's time to see the doctor everything has already been taken care of and they'll be moving on to treatment. All staff are Top tier in Professional.
I don't have 1 bad thing to say about this hospital, It's a FUBU HOSPITAL. For US by US.
