There seems to be a lot of misinformation between the different departments. There is as little communication to me directly about what was going on. After surgery I was to stay the night. But I camped out for 6 hours downstairs in a private area of recovery. No one told me I was waiting for a room.
Surgery staff was outstanding and amazing before and after surgery. Just more communication.
My nurses and aids were kind and patient after I got to my room. They were quick to respond if I needed something.
I was surprised how quiet it was.
Let’s just say you are better off to order Panera for delivery to your room.
Food cold. Bread moldy. Food orders not right but I’m not sure any hospital has a good food service
I thought everyone was kind and nice. Just prefer Morton’s women and children a bit more.

My Companion was taken here by ambulance, he called me at work letting me know he was having trouble breathing and throwing up. Our ER experience was terrible but once he got admitted into his room, everyone was so nice and took great care of him. All my issues were addressed and communicated to the staff. This has always been our go to hospital.

My wife had hip surgery today and we were very impressed. From the moment we got there this morning everyone was very helpful and friendly. Everything was explained very well to us. It was the best experience at a hospital we have ever had.

Omg do something about your beds. The hospital beds had me sinking into a hole. It hurt my back so bad. Seriously get something better then airbeds. I had to spend $76 to get a mattress pad for the hospital bed I was sleeping on.

Super nice staff. They ran test after test to get to the real issue and figure out what the problem was.
Explained everything to me.
I was very comfortable and had a good experience with this ER.

5 west there is a very special kind of nurse that carries herself with class very mature and who is very caring I appreciate her kindness towards me with my stay….. her name is ALICIA wish I new her last name but just want to complement her how nice she much to me was very caring I was having panic attacks pretty bad and she was just there for me carry on things anytime I would push the button and she would respond very rapidly… she talk to me and open up to me about things about maybe in diabetic and I should take it more serious in some of her words I will never forget for the rest of my life she is a very special young lady !!!!!!!!!!
Would also like to complement the nurses aide working with her that night …she was a sweeetheart as well …..her name is cASEY
Again not everyone is kind when you’re in the hospital so anyone who is kind to me I like to put their name down and let them know that I appreciate your kindness ….and thank to tayler for explaining things a little better for me to understand I appreciate you alll
To the names on here …. I have a pretty decent experience here … thank you Daniel for the sandwich and thank you for propping up my feet that meant a lot to me thank you
Your kindness 💛🙏🏻

My wife had Nurse Bailey M. taking care of her and prepping her to go home post-op. She was so patient and kind! My wife was feeling pretty nauseous and Nurse Bailey M. dealing with her getting sick with compassion and understanding. She had such a positive attitude and made my wife feel very well cared for. Thanks Bailey M.!
Also an overall Thank You to her whole care team! They kept me very well informed and updated me with her surgery progress. Everyone we interacted with were top notch and took such great care of her!

My family has used Norton Brownsboro since the day it open, and we've never had a bad experience there. Today I had to go to the emergency room due to kidney stones. I have to say I was worried about the horror stories about emergency room wait times. From the second I walked in the door, to the time I left was a great experience. I waited less than five minutes to be seen by the triage nurse, and five minute after that I was in the exam room. The nurse who took me back immediately started asking me questions and the ER doctor walked in right after that. He asked detailed (and correct) questions as to my problem, and told me what they would start doing to help me with the pain, and his plan to make me feel better. I was on the CT table less than thirty minutes after the doctor left the room. The CT workers were really nice and made me feel at ease. Shortly after returning to the exam room, the doctor came back and told me what the CT scan showed. During this time, another nurse was in the room giving me some medicine and was generally concerned about the pain. I was in and out in under an hour and a half. The entire staff was very nice and did a proffesional job. As I was leaving the triage nurse spoke with me again and asked if there was anything else they could do. Over all it was an A++ experience (except the kidney stones). I will continue to use Norton Brownsboro whenever I have a medical emergency. Great group of professionals who care about their patients.

Had to stay in this hospital for 12 days. They treated me great, the food was amazing. My new hospital forever!! The house Doctor was the best!! Couldn't ask for anything better.

Just wanted to thank you guys so much reminded me so much of a great hospital I went to as a child. Definitely saved my life took care of everything I needed. All the staff was amazing!

Let me start off by saying this review is of the cafeteria. Our stay at Nortons hospital on Brownsboro Inn has been a long one but the room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. Nursing staff was friendly and my man Sam in the ER was a wizard with his blood draw. Didn't even realize he got the blood and had to ask twice to be sure.
Now on to the cafeteria, or should I say restaurant. This place was amazing, it had gourmet tacos, BBQ, American food to name a few. I was not expecting hospital food to be anywhere near this level. Oh and the price was better than any restaurant around.
Once I get out of here I am sneaking me and my wife over to the Norton Hospital Cafeteria for date night, believe that!

I’ve had horrible experiences in the past at other doctors & hospitals. This one by far though is amazing. The staff is very caring and observant. I’m pretty stubborn and won’t ask for stuff, but the woman who was taking me to my CT scan saw that I was freezing and got me multiple blankets. Explained stuff in full depth, checked on me as frequent as possible. Couldn’t had asked for a better experience even though I was in excruciating pain. Thank you for the staff that took care of me!

Went in the ER at Brownsboro rd. tonight Dec. 11, 2021 around 5 PM and was greeted by Tammy, the checkin nurse. She was polite, helpful and patient with my daughter. Definitely a nurse to be commended for taking her job serious and with compassion. We did have a wait time and she was very honest about that issue.
The hospital was very clean and appeared to be following all Covid requirements.

My mom had the most caring people take care of her at the end of her life. From the cleaning people to the beautiful guitarist that would come and sing to her. The staff was amazing!!!! Amber, Brandy, Ann, Houston, Lena….oh so many. They kept her clean and comfortable. I feel truly blessed to have shared that special time with all of you. A big thank you to the Hosparus team, too. Blessings to all of you.

I had shoulder surgery this morning by Dr Krupp, and every person that I encountered in day surgery was absolutely kind and caring! Thank you all so much for making my experience enjoyable! Bless you all and I hope you have a wonderful year! Thank you for your service! ❤️

Had a MRI scheduled for 9am and to see the doctor the same day for results. After driving 30 minutes to the hospital, they tell me it's scheduled in the system for 9pm; they couldn't squeeze me in. Then admitted they've been having a lot of problems with scheduling. So, i had to come back at 9pm. Smh

I have had 2 hospital stays at Norton Brownsboro in the past few months. The ER wait time is atrocious (waited 9 1/2 hours to get into the ER on December 13th). BUT having said that, the staff is AMAZING! I absolutely love the PCA's and the Nurses at Norton Brownsboro as well as the people in specialty departments ie: CT Scan, Wound Care, etc. Last note, avoid the hospital meatloaf at all costs.

My wife came to the Norton Brownsboro East End after spending by ambulance with COVID19 after spending two nights at a nearby "hospital." The doctor who treated her at East End promised that she would not be sent home, even though no beds were available. A room was eventually available and she ended up spending three nights in ICU. The ICU team (Central 5, I think, they're called) were top-notch professionals. With God's help, I credit them for saving my wife's life.
I had been told by several people that East End is one of the best hospitals in the Kentuckiana area. They spoke the truth. East End will be our go-to hospital, even if we have to by-pass the before-mentioned "hospital."

So more then furious. So I work for Ford KTP truck plant. A loud place in general with noise. So I go to Norton’s hospital last year for no hearing out of my left ear. So after waking up at 3am for excruciating pain in my ear and zero hearing from that ear, I go to the ER Norton brownsboro. Now I have a bill for $1800 from Norton, stating that my insurance won’t cover the costs because it isn’t coded properly because the way the doctor coded it. 15 calls later the doctor said he won’t code it differently and now I’m stuck paying $1800. Needless to say I won’t ever go back to this hospital and I am Appalled as to the way the doctors code visits. I’m no professional but having zero hearing out of my left ear with excruciating pain should be considered an emergency...
After months of debate, they finally resolved my case. Since my insurance wouldn’t cover me they discounted my bill by 80% and was vary polite. Great hospital great owner. Need more places like this. Will recommend this place to all my Ford co workers.... 100% satisfied

Was just there for a visit, everyone was so friendly I was on the second floor to get a heart CT done today and everything went smooth. I can't remember her name but it was only her and Garret for that area as nurses and she did a wonderful job. Thanks to everyone else that also made my visit great!

We were very blessed having such an impressive medical plaza. We need to go try County which I wouldn't or Louisville. Thank you For the nice and clean and nice hospital we could ask for.
Alix Rice
The best hospital. I had an unexpected extended stay in the hospital and I couldn’t be more grateful to the staff, my doctors and nurses, they were incredible and went above and beyond. This is the best hospital in Louisville without a doubt and thank you to everyone on the fourth floor at Norton’s Brownsboro. Clean rooms, completely attentive amazing food

I was in the Outpatient Dept. for minor surgery on both feet yesterday. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience. I have been to several different hospitals over the years, and usually I leave feeling only so-so about the experience or assigned staff who have abysmal bedside manner.
My initial patient check in at registration at quick and the woman was very friendly. Once upstairs and in my room, the nurse assistant was sweet and my RN was super kind, very knowledgeable. My RN made at ease throughout my entire visit. Before taken to surgery, I got visits from both the anesthesiologist as well as my surgeon/doctor. The doctor is my podiatrist and had recommended the surgery, but seeing him before was helpful so that I knew exactly was to expect. The anesthesiologist works for the hospital and not only was very knowledgeable/professional he was very personable and nice.
Even when I was given the wrong size surgical shoe (didn't realize til I got home that my toes were hanging over the edge - hard to tell with numb feet at the hospital and being wheelchaired out to the car), the hospital was amazing in helping me get this resolved. I wish it had been a little easier to get a hold of the right dept. I couldn't get an answer or leave a message and had tried multiple times between yesterday and today. Once I finally got a hold of the right dept and the right person, they problem was resolved super quickly and got a better answer than I could have hoped for.
I don't live very close to this hospital so all, but can guarantee I will be going back for any future surgeries.

The nursing staff was really good n nice. The rooms are good n up to date. I really like the way that I was treated while I was here. The doc did great surgery on my knee. Overall the best Norton's that I have had to stay in.

I recently moved to the (Louisville,Ky) area and had never been to any of their hospitals previously. But had to go unfortunately for chest pain, and I HAVE to say that the staff, from the lady in the front desk in the ER to their doctors were great. Very attentive, they definitely treated me so good. Thanks to their nurses, making me feel so at ease and so helpful...even their volunteers...thank God my stayed there was brief (2days), but I will recommend it to anybody, if necessary. So, to all the staff, THANK YOU for making my experience more torelable/acceptable and less scary. Keep up the good job!!

The Norton Hospital Parking garage has 8 (yes 8!) free public charging stations for Electric Vehicles! Now that's a commitment to clean air and everyone's health! Way to go Norton!

My dad was in 3 west, this hospital was top rate.. Dr little was amazing! He kept us informed and answered any ?s we had. He's the best!
Nurse Sarah Farmer was great, she always came in the room with a smile and so helpful. She has a great disposition about her. All the nurses, male & female we're exceptional. The staff really care for their patients and the families. Thank you!
Naomi Thompson
Well rounded care. The staff was on top of their game plan when it came to servicing the patient as well as the patients friends and family. Wow what a clean facility!! Very sanitary!! You just can't get any better than this.
Alfonso “AJ” Gallo
Every single nurse, assistant, worker, etc. I encountered were all exceptional, friendly, efficient, patient and comforting. On the other hand, all of the doctors I encountered left a lot to be desired.
Chris Spalding

The Dr did surgery on my knee...no improvement and when I went back for my follow up with the Dr, I advised the person that I removed the stitches myself and she didn't even look at my knee....What a horrible place!!
Dr can't do full knee replacements, so hopefully u won't need one when he gets into surgery..otherwise he wil "clean it up as best he can"
Then, staff hangs up on you...
Feeling ripped off!

Ive had on and off experiences with this place.... As well my woman.... She has two bulging discs and they simply seem to refuse to help her even though as I type thos she litterly crying in agony saying shed rather be dead. I've come down with seizures somehow and sat in the waiting room for hours while either dealing with the after effects or still having one. Then I actually made a nurse who and I quote told me"my shifts almost over so I dont wanna get to know you" leave and get me another nurse after he was warned by a difrent nurse that he was about to stab threw my artery... Which he then procedded to to do. The replacement spilled my urine from a cup down her leg after they confused me with the guy in the next room. And took in needed blood..... But its better than diecointy

I had a full hip replacement as out-patient. From the young man at reception who greeted me with a smile at 5am, to the woman who pushed me out in the wheelchair- everybody was smiling, patient, helpful and generally in good spirits. It was amazingly clean. Handwashing and sanitary wiping protocol was outstanding. I just can't say enough about this place!
Amanda Rinehart
I had brain surgery back in 2011 the staff and Dr's and stay was excellent! Love this hospital
Rose Benkert
I recently spent two days in the ICU following neurological surgery. All of the nurses, aides and attending staff on this unit were by far the best I have ever experienced in any local hospital.
It would be helpful if the call buttons on the bedsides actually worked. There is also some issue with the noise from outside construction.
I can't comment on the food service as I really didn't eat much. Food service tried very hard to get me meals that I would eat, I just had no appetite. My husband really liked the cafeteria downstairs.
Again, I want to thank all of the staff I met for their professionalism, care and curtesy. You are an example of quality treatment.

My sister was flown to this hospital in August of 2018 with stroke like symptoms. The Doctors and the Nurse staff were on the ball doing what needed to be done. They did diagnose her with a stroke. They gave what I call "the clot buster" to reverse the stroke. The stroke was reversed successfully and with very little therapy she made a full recovery. The Doctors and Nurse Staff were awesome. God bless you all.
Katlyn Hellard
I had went there last night. I had a nurse named Vickie in the ER. The whole 7 hours I was there she complained how she got another patient and how she wasn’t able to take a lunch. She was very rude. Then another nurse Bobbi was actually super nice and took her time to make sure I was ok. I had asked 3 people for a blanket ( didn’t have a fever ) and didn’t get it until a good 4 hours in. The radiology person was super nice!!!! I can’t explain how she went above and beyond her job duties. Such a great person. It seems like this place is hit or miss
Karen Murta
The surgery staff, Dr Williams (Anesthesiologist), Dr.Y and all the nurses did an outstanding job! My son was treated like he was the most important patient they had. I was updated frequently regarding his status through the entire surgery. Communication is extremely well done here. I can't say enough about this wonderful staff. All staff from the time you walk in are nice and helpful. Cafeteria staff very nice! Thank you from a special needs mom. Thank you for including me in his care. John Murta Jr. Thanks you!
Pam Chester
My dad was brought to Norton’s. I can’t even explain how wonderful this facility is. The staff are family and treat you like family always asking if we need anything. The housekeeping could not do a better job or ask us if we need anything. When you are so scared and upset like we were with my dad they were so wonderful and understanding. Many many thanks to them all! Third floor you ROCK!!!
Brenda Ibarra
A couple of months ago I had to be rushed to the hospital with horrible stomach pain. Turns out I had a bowel obstruction and I was admitted and stayed for 5 days. The staff was awesome! I actually felt as if I were at a spa for the whole time. It was relaxing. They were always checking on me, they have wifi, tv and they also have a snack area with cookies, coffee, juice, yogurt and all free for your family when they are there. I almost didn't want to leave.

I was there with my boyfriend today he had hip replacement surgery everyone treated us like family besides one nurse witch was his discharge nurse she was very rude. She didn't like us asking questions made us feel like we just needed to hurry up we was a waste of her time. When he ask questions she was very short and hateful. I work in the medical field my self I understand that people have a hard day but if you cannot be good to people don't work in the medical field.
Connie Godbey-Fleck
When they first opened I received unremarkable care. The last 3 times I've been there with me and others they have lost the kind mannerism, bedside manors, and just all around kindness. I don't know about others but if I'm sick enough to be there, I'm sick and don't feel like having everyone treat me like crap. Other than that the rooms are great and if you get admitted the nurses on the floor are great. ER is hard, I've worked there, but I've never treated anyone like a piece of crap.....
Tony Kent
I went in thru the ER and was admitted for heart tests. Everything from the ER to the staff to the room was 1st rate. If I have to be in a hospital this is it!
Sandra Mercil
The entire staff in the ER was wonderful (nursing, physicians, chaplain, etc.). Everyone was compassionate and gave hugs as we said bye to my mother on February 2, 2017. As tearful as it was losing my mother, the entire staff was comforting and made the transition easier and less painful. I can't say enough wonderful things.
Kimberley Keene
My experience was related to my mother's illness and staying with her for two
days.
All the staff - from the doctors and their team, to her nurses - Rayna, Candice and Megan - and their support staff, were exceptional. Her care was extraordinary.
Wilma who takes care of the families on the second floor is very kind, helpful and attentive.
This is the cleanest hospital I've ever been in. There is no overhead paging system. It was remarkably quiet the entire time I was there.
Can't say enough good things about the experience that my family and I had during a stressful situation. So thank you, Everyone, for taking such good care of my mom. My family and I are very grateful.
Fatmata Kanu
Doctors an nurse and the rest of the staff they are so great they did a excellent job
Audrey Corbin
Specialized in Neuroscience and ICU patients.
The nurses and doctors in the ICU are very friendly and helpful!
Food in the cafe was delicious!
Don't recommend the ER, unless it is for something neuroscience related.
Theo Kaufman
My autistic son needed minor surgery and from beginning to end the Day Surgery Staff at Norton's was professional and wonderful. Dr. Blackburn, Dr. Morris, Melisa, Brad, Tanya, Lisa, Maria, and everyone else were just angels to our son. Can't be more pleased with the TLC they showered on my son. Don't ever want to need to come back, but if we have to, will love to. Thank you everyone!
Carmita McDaniel

I received excellent service from the staff of the emergency room at Norton Hospital on Brownsboro Road. The staff lead by Dr. Rochet was quick to assess my allergic reaction to my blood pressure medicine to Lisinopril.

I would like to compliment Nurse Amanda Beard. I was in Norton Hospital on August 14 thru 16 and nurse Amanda was one of the nurses that took care of me and if I had to rate her on a scale of 1 to 10 she would be a 10 plus. Amanda took the time to explain what was taking place and keep me relaxed and a positive attitude. You have a great employee with Amanda and I hope Norton realized that.It is employees like her that give you a good name. Good Luck Amanda and God Bless You. Charlie Ploetner

I spent 4 days inpatient with a scary case of anemia. (Ended up with 3 unit blood transfusion.). Everyone from the triage nurse in the ED to the 5th floor nurses and other support staff treated me with the care and concern they would have given to their own family. I'm certain I have overlooked something but suffice it to say, I would love to give Norton Brownsboro 10 stars but the system is only set up for 5. ""Thank you" seems so small in light of the care I received during a serious medical crisis. I'm grateful every day for Norton Healthcare Systems and it's top notch personnel.
Best wishes
