We had more questions than usual because of husband's recent cancer treatments and the fact his blood pressure had fallen drastically. Last time I was here was in 2015, my doctor was Dr Tali H. Arik, but after a couple visits, he moved to Pahrump. Everything was great then. But yesterday, after 7 long years without a cardiologist, I seen another doctor, Dr J Patel. He's good, friendly and a caring doctor. I really liked my first visit because I felt comfortable and everybody was very helpful and professional. Even Maybel, the doctor's nurse was very helpful and knowledgeable. I want to say a big thank you to all the staff that I came across with. It was a great experience and I'm definitely going to recommend Dr Patel and the Intermountain Healthcare/Sunset Cardiology Clinic to all our friends and family. They'll surely make you feel like family. No rushing....

I needed a Cardio evaluation prior to back surgery. Dr. Bedotto was recommended by my surgeon. When I called to inquire about earliest availability he was booked for months. I asked for any doctor available. They would get back to me. I received a call shortly thereafter with an appointment with Dr. Bedotto 2 days away. I know it was his last of the day and he squeezed me in. What a nice, caring man he is. The whole examination was professional and complete yet so pleasant it was like visiting with a friend. I left feeling much better about the upcoming surgery than before. His staff was inviting and professional. I so appreciated everyone's help in this.

Dr. Bedatto is great, very detailed when telling you all you need to know about what is going on and your meds. I did the check-in on line, so I arrived at the office at my appointment time, and I went right in, no waiting at all, even though it was my first visit. I didn't wait in the room for the doctor more than 5 minutes. I was at 9280 W Sunset Road Suite 320 to have a Lexiscan done on Monday, May 23rd. 2022. Curtis, one of the male nurses, called me back. I let him know I was a hard stick when he began the process of starting an IV. First try didn't work and thats not good because its the vein I depend on all of the time. Curtis told me he was going to try one more time and if that didn't work that he would have to schedule me to go to a different office another day to get the IV started. Thank you Lord! Curtis got the IV started the 2nd time! He was so calm, respectful and soothing in his speech and mannerisms. Then, Desiree, another nurse did the EKG and Lexiscan or stress test for my heart. She was multi-tasking at the beginning but took it all in stride. Desiree was very professional, attentive, caring and paid very close attention to what she was doing. I have to say that all in all, even though it was a medical test for my heart that I was there for it was a pleasant experience and it was all over before I knew it! Desiree, thank you for the cheese crackers and apple juice afterwards! I was very hungry. Anyway, Curtis and Desiree you both did great and really deserve to be recognized for what you do!

Dr Portz was very thorough and came up with a great plan. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover this facility and I will not be able to pay out of pocket. Dr Portz was professional caring about my swollen legs doubled up on my water pills and prescribed Potassium.I received the flurosomite 40mg but I didn't get the potassium yet. I'm just confused about the dosage will call dr Portz to clarify. The front desk girls were lovely I only waited 5 minutes to be called me. See below for my previous review last year. Saw Dr. Bedotto for follow up last week (January 27, 2022). It is truly remarkable how well he remembers me and my situation. It's as if we had just met the week before. He continues to have my highest possible rating. "I have been seeing Dr. Bedotto for several years since retiring to Las Vegas. No crisis management yet (previous history includes heart attack, stent, open heart surgery), but I am absolutely comfortable with his seamlessly taking over my care, including getting up to speed on ME as a patient and individual, and now adjusting my care, including med changes, as necessary. Perhaps equally important, he is a GOOD GUY, very down to earth, great "bedside manner", remembers me (I expect he takes excellent notes), really someone you would enjoy as a friend. My father was a doctor, I was a lawyer. Most people in both professions are, how to put this, NOT someone I would want to spend time with. If you are new in town or just looking for an upgrade, I suggest Dr. Bedotto."

Had a video appointment with cardiologist DrPatel. He was on time for the video appointment just like his in person appointments. He had changed locations so was glad it was video. He is very personable listens attentively and reads what you send him. I have quite a list of drug sensitivities and I used the portal to send it. The staff had quite a time getting it off the portal but they did it and go DR Patel in time for my appointment. He doesn't have Access to the portal so the staff have to get the documents to him before the appointment. Everyone is so helpful. Love them all. Just primary doctors have access to the portal I was told. Crazy rule. Lol

I like Dr. Portz only thing I don’t like to have to wear a mask because I think it’s time that we knock the stupidity off with mask they don’t work and we know they don’t work the vaccine. Vaccine is something that stops a virus and this doesn’t stop anything.

Dr. Bedotto has been my cardiologist for almost 5 years and he has been superb. He is accessible, caring, has a sense of humor. He took care of me during the worst time of my life when I'd had a triple bypass that got infected and he made sure that I got to the surgeon immediately and that the surgeon was able to take care of me. I have great praise for his office staff. They had the utmost patience in helping me figure out how to have a video conference with him so that I don't have to go out and be exposed during covid-19 and I'm a tech a technophobe so believe me when I say they had the utmost patience. Dr. Bedotto has been listed as among the top cardiologists in town by objective third-party sources and published as such. I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Bedotto.

Dr. Portz is excellent . Very patient orientated and answers all questions without ever rushing off to the next patient . Very thorough and explains his patient care points very clearly. He is an excellent clinician ! I was however NOT happy with the new registration process which was sent to my cell phone. It should have been sent to my email but that could not happen for whatever reason. End result its about 20 screens of information wanted on my small phone screen. As I am not a twenty something this process was extremely cumbersome and not well thought by Intermountain . They even expect you you to take pics of your license and health insurance cards and upload them into the document . I can't make this stuff up . And if you make a mistake you cannot correct it in this format . If you ty to go back it offers you the option to cancel the entire form or submit as completed, even thought incorrect . While I was waiting another patient came in and was in his 60's like myself and made the same complaint to the office staff who seemed totally indifferent to his plight. I took the time to track down the patient complaint dept. of Intermountain and voiced my concerns. I was told I was not the first but rather part of a large number of other complaints all of the same nature. In spite of that, the process continues. Poor job by Intermountain .

Dr Patel is an excellent Cardiologist I did my virtual video the other day called me at exact appointment time 12:10 pm, Dr Patel went over all my meds to make sure I was taking them regularly and if needed refills asked me how I was feeling asked me if i needed to change anything have I been checking my blood pressure regularly I told him yes everything is good taking meds and I feel good. Dr Patel not only went over my medication and how I been feeling but asked how my family was doing and stay safe with the virus Covid-19 Dr Patel has been my Cardiologist the past 8 years I’m very lucky to have found him.
