I first met Dr. Hardesty last November when I pursued a second opinion since treatment options for my bleeding disorder quickly became complex. I again pursued another opinion from him in February of this year and decided to transfer care at that time. Since then, we have worked together to determine treatments that not only help my disorder, but give me the greatest quality of life. His nurse Yolanda has been by my side as well. Quickly responding to my many messages, assisting with medications, helping obtain labs, and coordinating my care. It is extensive, and her hard work is very much appreciated. Honestly, the entire staff from front office, to nursing, to the physicians are top notch. I came to the Hemophilia Center a broken woman feeling ruined by my new disorder and now I feel empowered that life can be lived to the fullest extent with it. Thank you for everything and I continue to look forward to getting my care here.

I have been a patient of the IHTC for over 20 years and Dr Griest is the best Hematologist I've ever had. She's very understanding and is almost like a second mom to me. She's a great doctor....she does go out of country to do a lot of work in Kenya. Not many doctors devote their free time and the effort she puts in to helping others in the many ways she helps. Fantastic place with a lot of fantastic doctors. Highly recommend the IHTC if in need of a hematologist of some sort.

You will find a very compassionate staff, dedicated and with patience that you can expect to deal with each visit. I would not attend another facility. They have gone beyond the call of duty, i feel, for me when I lost my job. I had no health insurance and could not work. I was 60 yrs old. They helped me get in contact with the right agency to help me. I get the best care here.

Dr. Bakeer is the most intelligent and caring doctor I have ever encountered. Our daughter was a patient of hers, but then we had to move for my husbands job. We haven't found anyone that compares to her. I emailed her over the weekend with a question. She called me back over the weekend and again today despite no longer being her patient. She took the time to help us. I simply cannot say enough good things about her!

I am a Glannzmann's Thrombastenia patient that has not seen a regular hematologist in over 15 years, I preferred to speak directly to my childhood hemo who diagnosed me and would would take care of things on a case by case basis. I met with DR.Brandon Hardesty for the first time back in May and it was the first time I felt comfortable with a doctor talking about my disorder. He was knowledgeable, he listened, and he ran meaningful tests on me to check my joint health (we have joint bleeds like hemophiliacs) and inside my nose. At the end they gave me a goody bag full of really useful things for a bleeder. Nose bleed stoppers, a nose shaped Ice pad, some quick bleed stop. It was wonderful and I am so happy to have found them. Everyone I encountered from the front desk staff to the people giving me an ultrasound in my joints made my entire experience wonderful and totally stress free. Gosh they even gave me shoe inserts because my feet are flat to assist in preventing ankle problems!

IHTC has made great efforts to make appointments with children easier for both the child and the parent. The presence of child life specialists on staff makes an enormous difference in what can be difficult blood draws for kids. The doctor we see takes a lot of time with patients and personally calls with all lab results. They also do a good job with patient education. There are sometimes issues with the lab taking quite a while to call you back after your appointment. This would be my main complaint. I would think a blood center would figure out a more efficient way to run a lab.
