My husband and I both agreed this was one of our better, best, experiences at a hospital. Him, as the person accompanying me, comfortable waiting and receiving excellent communication on what was going on. Me, as the patient, feeling comfortable and safe. The aftercare was also superb and friendly. I was worried about something after my surgery and we called- they were fabulous in helping me through it and reassuring me. I was encouraged to call again and didn’t leave feeling like my question was silly or a waste of time, which a lot of places can do. Seriously excellent experience, I went in with so much anxiety and they were just really great.

My experience was wonderful! The staff was amazing and proficient. The nurses/doctors were awesome, explained things with professionalism so you could understand. After care nurses were just as awesome and funny. I was loopy, but I’m pretty sure I tried to hook the sweet single discharge nurse up with my handsome son just home from deployment. P.S. he was interested and I didn’t get the number for him only complaint🤣Thank you for taking care of me!

I had my first surgery with Houston Physicians’ last week and it was a great experience that was made simple by great employees! The front desk and payment staff were very nice and helpful, and my surgeon and nurses were amazing. Dr. O’Neill did a wonderful job on my knee and my nurses were so sweet and made sure I felt comfortable and cared for during my entire outpatient procedure. If I ever have need for another surgery or hospital stay, I will definitely be choosing Houston Physicians’ again!

Houston Physicians Hospital is world class. They must treat their employees very well because everyone I came in contact was cheerful, enthusiastic, and treated me and my family members in a genuinely caring manner. My wife has had 2 knee replacement surgeries there and I just had spinal surgery. Both of our doctors said that HPH was, by far, their hospital of choice for surgery. I can certainly see why. It will be our hospital of choice for surgeries should we need them. We thank them for their continued excellent care and service. A lot of businesses, not just hospitals, could learn a lot from them.

Overall great experience! Sarah had a case of the Mondays and I felt so bad for her! She was great! The hospital was very clean! The clock right in front of my bed had not been "SPRUNG" forward and I wanted to help make it better but.....the air filled heated blanket was a bonus! I highly recommend! The staff was amazing!

Staff was excellent. You never feel left alone as you do with other hospitals. Nurses were awesome and listened to your concerns and addressed them immediately. Always told you about the medications you were receiving, Food was also excellent, came to you still warm or hot. I didn’t want to leave. Other staff that I encountered gave you the same courtesy and professionalism that you would expect but don’t get at other hospitals. Recommend this hospital highly.

Good experience! The MRI has a open feel. The ceiling has an aquarium video playing. Pretty and relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and considerate. I was offered a warm blanket, headphones with my choice of music, cover for my eyes. Of course the machine makes an internal noise which is expected but all was minimized because of the care!

I've been having spine procedures done at Houston Physicians Hospital for many years. From the front staff to the inside staff everyone is so nice and experienced. They make you feel unafraid and at ease.Everyone is so coordinated and runs like clockwork. Most people hate hospitals including me but I love coming here knowing I'll be safe and cared for. Great job everybody!!!!!

I've been to quite a few hospitals, but this experience has far outweighed any of those. Last Sunday I turned 70 and coming to y'all yesterday has been the most awesome experience I've ever had. From check in to walking me to my car, was fantastic. I was treated like royalty and the most friendly people I've ever met. From the moment I checked in, to the strong men in the scan the hip room, to the blood drawn room, nothing could be done any better than that. Especially Amanda, she put my mind at ease about what is to come next Thursday. I will recommend this Hospital and staff to everyone I see. I could be your voice out in the public because I feel that strongly about my wonderful experience there. Thanks for listening and treating me so kindly at your hospital. I had a simple knee procedure at Houston Physicians Hospital in December 2022. From the ladies at the check in desk to the surgical staff everyone was friendly,helpful, and caring. My procedure was carefully explained and the staff answered my questions and concerns in a professional and kind manner. I was also impressed with the pre-op services and the telephone follow up calls. I would not hesitate to recommend Houston Physicians Hospital.

Everyone there was so nice. They care about you not just as a patient but a person. They’re fast getting you ready for your surgery and making sure you’re comfortable. They took their time and explained everything they were doing. While you were waiting to have surgery they didn’t ignore you but kept checking on you to make sure if you wanted or need anything. I ask for breakfast but they said no which was a bummer lol. I’d highly recommend this hospital Terry

Every single person, from the two ladies at Check-in to the nurses that took care of me in pre-op and recovery, was both professional and friendly. This my first surgery at Houston Physicians Hospital and the treatment and care were first class. The experience I had was way above any I have received at one of the larger local hospitals. I wanted to give extra kudos to the attending Nurse I had after surgery, Kelsey was very attentive, and gave excellent aftercare instructions and made sure my stay was very pleasant! She also made sure I never ran out of Sprite :).

Almost without exception, everyone who interacted with me was compassionate, kind, and attentive. The facility was modern, clean and comfortable. Open doors in other rooms told me those patients were having a similar experience. If it’s in your network, I recommend it without reservation.

Dr Tran is amazing! He deserves a million stars!! My less than a perfect score comes to the nursing staff at the hospital. My son who is 2 struggles to take medication orally and the nursing staff left me helpless to provide the care he needed for his pain. One nurse told me to basically restrain him and force the medication down his throat. I was shocked that no other solutions were given or help provided minus restraining him.. Once morning came a male nurse was beyond nice, saw our situation and finally my son got the proper health care he needed. He helped provide him a suppository. At discharge they provided us with information to call if we needed help. Well due to a shortage of over the counter medication I was not able to find my son specific over the counter suppositories he needed which left us struggling again. In the morning I called the nurse again said the same thing restrain him, go out and look, and left me crying. A hour later though that same nurse called with lots of empathy and found us the medication we needed for our son in a “town” near by. Tears of joy on Christmas. Not everyone has perfect children that will just take medicine orally sometimes we have to think 100 times out of the box. I sincerely appreciate the male nurse in the morning and the one over the phone that heard my plead and made good effort to help me and did.

Doctors are great. The nurses and nurse's assistants are fantastic, down to earth and very helpful. They are very caring people. Administration needs to do a little better in getting with insurance instead of waiting until you get there to say this is what you owe. I just felt it was a bulling tactic to get all their money up front. This is the second time that this has happend, so it is a business practice but overall, the place is great.

Excellent facility, very alert professional staff. Very efficient service after you get signed in. Everything done was discussed or explained from the nurse to the anesthesiologist to the surgeon. I went home comfortable and they verified that I had the meds and support to keep me that way once I got there.

Beautiful facility, wonderful staff. Everyone was extremely efficient, thorough, and friendly. I was also very impressed by all the extra hygiene measures taken (MRSA precautions, disposable blankets, etc.). Excellent outpatient surgical experience.

I had the absolute best experience for my first procedure. The check in reception was friendly, and the nurses that took care of me clearly love what they do and are very compassionate. They answered any questions I had thoroughly, and patience. My Podiatrist, Dr. Rathnayake has always been wonderful with his complete explanation of what to expect. Everyone at the hospital was wonderful from the check-in through the recovery room nurse. I am a retired nurse and was astonished at the quality of the people working at your hospital. It is extremely rare to run a facility and have staff who are so happy and always act so professional and never “snippy” or rude to patients. Everyone was so me. My husband and I both drive one hour and a half to receive physical therapy here. We trust them; they are so competent and they have helped both of us with our many issues. They also do a great job of being on time which is much appreciated. They are the best PTs I have ever been to see.

Getting my images was stress free. I was immediately given my paperwork and shortly afterwards taken to x-rays where I was instructed to change into a gown. The technician was very professional but also personable. The lady tech at the MRI was also exacting and put me at ease. I was in and out within 1 hour so was very pleased.

New to Houston. Had emergency. Went to Physicians Hospital based on proximity and yelp recommendations. They were great! Got me into the ER with initial diagnosis of rhabdo but had to transfer me to another hospital since they specialize in surgery, not the needs I have. Staff were amazing. I had x-rays and MRI done for lower spine issues. I was pleased with the service and staff. Then, I returned for a cortisone shot in my lower back. Once again, my experience was very good with the staff and my doctor. Houston Physicians Hospital is definitely the hospital to go to. Keep up the good service.

I had an ok experience, I have been coming here for quite sometime. I have a doctor upstairs and I do physical therapy. I've done imaging before, along with a shot. This time was a lot longer than expected though. I was told it would only take 30-45 minutes, I was in there for almost 2 hours. The tech was very nice, however she kept trying to talk to me after she put my headphones on so a lot of times I half answered her, due to not really knowing what was going on. She ended up blowing two of my veins....I told her I prefer an IV in my hand, just because it's uncomfortable in my arm personally. Well she proceeded to try in my left arm, as soon as she tried to inject the medicine my vein jumped/rolled and blew. Not sure if this was just not having the knowledge of how to put medicine through the IV, but she did the same with my right hand. I think it was injected too quickly so it was a little painful even in my hand, that vein jumped/rolled as well and ended up blowing but I just kept quiet wanting to get it done. Again she was very nice, and felt really bad, I just think she needs to slow down with the injection maybe and listen to the patient when they say they prefer something over the other.

Arrived for a CAT scan of kidneys and was led through the sign process by a friendly, professional lady at the sign area. Quickly that was accomplished and was very shortly taken to the x-ray room. The technician explained the directions I needed to follow and the Cat Scan was completed in 5 minutes. As usual when I use the Houston Physicians Hospital I am very pleased with the total experience.

Immediately I was treated to a 1/4 mile walk from the parking lot to the front office; the mold growing on the outside of the building above the ER helped me remember how nasty my brothers kept their bedrooms. It was raining so I was able to get a quick shower so I didn't stink up the joint. The guys at the front door reminded me of walking off the bus into the office building where my USAF technical instructors during basic training told us we look like gansters and not to do drugs. The waiting room was a pleasant surprise as I was surrounded by a couple of dozen patients either heading to surgery or waiting to write their last will and testament. The office staff, x-ray techs and nurses were awesome! How's that?

Every person I dealt with from admissions, anesthesiologists, nurses ( except for 1 nurse who seem annoyed when I asked her if I could use the restroom before my procedure) recovery nurses were all wonderful, professional and very kind. Check in was smooth and easy. Brian was the technician for my MRI and he helped to keep me at ease during it. I am terrified of MRI’s and I have to tell you this was the best experience I have ever had, the machine was bigger than normal, the environment was soothing and relaxing! Hands down best hospital i've been in . Great nursing Staff and fantastic doctors that provide you with top notch knowledge . So thankful there is a ( private ) hospital like this to have my back surgery completed . It's been only one week since surgery and no more numbness in my legs , feet and back . No more pain in my upper back , shoulders and even the numbness in my hands that I thought was carpal tunnel seems to be gone . When I walk it feels like i'm gliding with ease . To the Doctor's , Houston Physician's Hospital and there staff thank you for making the every day life a pleasure again !!!!!!

Love this hospital. Everyone was sensitive to my issue of being claustrophobic during my MRI. They took all measures to make me comfortable (even though I did take a vallium). They assisted me in every step of the way. All the staff were professional and polite.

Had my first surgery ever here 2 weeks ago. I have severe anxiety over anything medical related and I could not have asked for a smoother more pleasant experience. All my pre and post op nurses were fantastic and my anesthesiologist I think his name was Dr. Fields was amazing. I normally don’t leave reviews but I felt the need to for this because of how bad my fear/anxiety is and how great my experience was.

Everyone at the location has been attentive and helpful. The appointments ran smoothly however the lady who called me was two weeks early and I had to tell her the correct date of my procedure. Reminder calls were made to my emergency contact instead of to me - found out later. So my EC was concerned about what happens to me. I didn’t receive any post-op paperwork and I didn’t realize it until I was almost home. The doctor and staff were beyond wonderful though.

My favorite place to have procedures done. Service is wonderful, staff is excellent, facility under construction, but nice. Clean and organized. I would rather any day have my procedure done at Physicians Hospital than at a hospital. You see a bigger difference here than at a hospital. Infections are very low if any. You would not be disappointed!

wait time was a while... but I thought everyone acted professionally.. was hoping for relief this morning, but more of the same... doctor has me on codeine pills and muscle relaxers, which upsets my stomach and does little for back spasms and waking up in the morning is no longer a joy.. doctor is little time to explain what he is doing, why he is doing it.. which may be part of the job when dealing with folks in extreme pain.. hoping for a call back today..

They keep you updated on what is going to happen next. It appeared seamless! I even knew when Dr. Evan Bridges was headed to see me. He answered any questions that I had. If you have to have surgery this is a great place to do it. I have had more than one procedure there and they are very professional.

In for a coloscopy and WOW, the people at HPH are all so great--helpful, upbeat, friendly, caring and extremely competent. Special thanks to Dr. Zokowski, the anesthesiologist, nurses Jason, Joey (female), Amber, Autumn and Chad, and to Claudia, the lady who called with instructions and called back to answer a few questions. On top of all that, HPH feels more like a nice hotel than a hospital.

I have had three surgeries and six procedures at Houston Phy Hosp. The doctors who choose Hou Phy Hosp know their patients are getting 4-star treatment. Not lying, I rave about my experiences. Once during prep a doctor was asking me questions and noticed I was shivering. He immediately left and came back with one of those quilted air blankets that connect to a hot air attachment on the wall. Took the time to tuck me under. He didn't assign a tech or a nurse. HE did it. That's customer service basics.

I believe all the therapist at Physicians Hospital Physical Therapy are the best therapist I have ever had. They start off slow, explaining why, and how, you do each of the exercises they give you. They give you picture examples to take home so you can continue your therapy at home. My first day, I was told before your are finished, we will all become family…and they were right. They all care so much for their patients. They are thorough and safety conscience. Even though masks are not a requirement for patients, I appreciated the fact they wear them. There is a lot of positive energy among all the therapists and that transfers over to the patients. They really want you to get better and back to normal.

I have had great success with the therapy department but last year I had a lousy experience with one of the surgeon doctors who had performed three surgeries on me in the past and he decided he wanted me to hurry up in discussing my rehab from the most recent surgery because he had a lobby full of people waiting to see him because he was running late and it appeared had overbooked people he would see. I am entitled to my time and I certainly don't need a doctor telling me to hurry up because he's got patients waiting due to his fault. This hospital's x-ray and cat Scan department is excellent, very professional and always on time.

I had a shoulder MRI at HPH. The technician was professional and friendly and I received a computer disk to give my physician within minutes. The only problem was this is a new MRI scanner and the part to hold the shoulder in place had not been received by HPH. The technician had to place padded weights and a belt over the weights to hold them in place on my body in order to hold my shoulder in place. This took about 10-15 minutes and she really used her ingenuity in figuring out how to do it. I find it ridiculous that the company that HPH bought this multi-million dollar scanner from did not include the part to hold shoulders in place.

Had an MRI done here on a Saturday. The hospital is very slow on Saturday so I was the only one there. The receptionist at check in was friendly and attentive. Some minor facelift type construction/painting going on but not a distraction at all. They were running ahead of schedule so I was taken back early actually. The technicians performing the MRI were also very friendly and professional. The MRI machines interior is a little larger than they used to be many years ago so it only took me one Valium to get in the silly thing LOL. It was a good experience and I would not hesitate to come back here again for another MRI which I most likely will have to soon.

In general the hospital seems very cleaning however there were a few points that I was a little bit disappointed especially concerning billing when I called and asked advanced what the cost would be they told me I brought the amount up and then I was told that there would get another fee later on the operation I was disappointed in how fast they threw me out afterwards I did not speak to a nurse I did not speak to anyone that gave me an information on how to care take care of the paperwork they gave me only said to do a follow up with my doctor in 4 weeks disappointing at most

I’ve had 4 procedures at this hospital and the care has been excellent. The nurses and extremely nice, caring and attentive to your needs. The hospital/surgery waiting area is very clean. They have a coffee and snack bar for people waiting on their loved ones....when it’s not Covid. 2 of my procedures I had to wait a long time and was not informed of why. The other 2 were right on time. I am very big on customer service. I believe that if you are running behind you should update the patients. I completely understand things happen, but it’s courtesy to let us know you are running behind. The anesthesiologist are great. They make you feel at ease. I would have another procedure here if I have to have another one. It seems more family like than bigger hospitals.

I've had countless procedures and surgeries along with at least 10 MRI's preformed at Houston Physician's Hospital since 2011. If my insurance covers it this is the only place I want to go. From the scheduling department to the medical staff, they have always been the very best. The wait times have normally been under 30 minutes to be seen for MRI's, I've had times where they were ready immediately and once where there was an issue with another patient that caused a slight delay but the staff kept me informed on how long it would be. They have new MRI machines and are in the process of expanding, I believe they currently have 3 MRI's currently. The surgical unit is fantastic, most surgeries are outpatient but they do have Overnight facilities if you're having hip surgery for example. I had a complication from a procedure, and the nursing staff were fabulous at trying to make me as comfortable as possible for my overnight stay. If you don't have insurance and have to self pay It can be a little expensive but the prices are comparable with other facilities. They do offer discounts for self-paying customers but they do not offer payment plans, so payment must be made up front.

I had a surgery scheduled for this hospital and I really wasn't looking forward to being in any hospital. I've never had any positive feelings when I've been in one until I came here. It doesn't have a hospital feel at all! Even the person taking temperatures was kind and helpful. I met at least a dozen staff members throughout my pre-op and surgery dates and every single one was very thoughtful and attentive. They even called me a couple days after my surgery to check up on me. I never thought customer service existed at a hospital until I came here.
