Almost 3 years clean and sober thanks to the people at Ucs that never gave up on me. My addiction was too much for most of my own family to stick around, but people like Terri McPherson -Drew and others(Ellie, Susan (both and all) David, Chris, Julie& so many more, some who aren't there anymore either) that didn't ever give up on me and in fact supported me when i couldn't support my own self. They helped shape me into the woman i am and am proud of today❤️i will forever be truly grateful 💝

I started going to UCS in 2016 when they were located on Franklin. They were the only methadone clinic that accepted medicaid and thats all i had, so i went. I never felt so humiliated, defeated, depressed and angered in my life while i struggled to get clean. The staff was cold, had no compassion and treated EVERYONE like criminals. The only reason i stayed and continued my treatment was bcz i loved myself enough to get and stay clean and my primary doctor, Dr. Huante was in that same building and i absolutely adore him. It was the hardest 4 years of my life! However, i ended up going to primary care when they began taking medicaid and continued my treatment. Ive since been to the new location in WDSM and ive had nothing but happy, helpful, positive people check me in when i go for my doctor visits with Dr. Huante. I haven't seen any of the old faces from the past at this location so i can only imagine how nice and smoothly things must be functioning today vs several years ago. Thanks to primary care and self strength i am now clean and doing good. I pray for anyone who is struggling with substance abuse to reach out to any place and get help. Nothing is worth losing your life over, nothing!

I have never felt so understood and accepted in my entire life. Sally Adams is beyond words, I know on a soul level we were meant to cross paths. She is my muse! The groups and mentality and genuine care expressed by those who work there is relieving and healing. I have also found genuine participation and acceptance from those who are next to me, going through similar situations and struggles and it is very healing that my voice is heard and my feelings are validated. I recommend UCS to as many people as I can!! Keep it up, y'all are saving lives!!

This place helped me turn my life around. They gave me the tools and the support to be able to proudly say that I'm 2.5 years clean! The counselors here truly care about their clients and I would recommend this place to anyone. I don't know where I would be today without the AMAZING staff and medical care I've received. And thanks to UCS I don't have to worry about it!

I have had nothing but extremely caring and understanding individuals help through my recovery. It’s been going on 4 years now, and they feel like family, (seriously I see certain people from the clinic and trust them, more than I see or trust my own family). I highly recommend going there. Plus, having been a few years I can say.. you can confide and trust them with ANYTHING! Jennifer Gooden has become family to me and knows me better than I know myself! I can honestly say she has love for all of her patients; as does dr Leanne and my nurse Jody (ankeny). I go to UCS for ALL of my medical needs except OBGYN,(and who knows.. I could probably get that done too! Ha! But no, all in all. Between Ankeny and WDM, they’re a one stop shop. Loving, caring and non judgmental most importantly. I’d go no where else.

Love the people here, the staff are Amazing and always go above and beyond, it’s very well organized with amazing friendly staff! I have been to many locations in the USA and this is by far my favorite and the most beneficial and helpful to me , they saved my life and changed my life for the better and I am very thankful!

Love the staff they are the most caring and non-judgemental clinic that I have ever been to. Also the staff is very friendly and nice to my kids they remember their names and always have a treat for them🙂 Also we see Dr Joe (Freund) as our family doctor and he is awesome he is really good with kids always makes them laugh we live him and his nurse Lee. They always get us in even last minute if we need to be seen.

First off i like to thank the ucs staff. I like to say thanks to Gabby and Hope. In the back, both ladies are great at their job. Friendly, both caring. Like to say thanks to nurse Danielle.. She very good at her job, has a ot of patient for what she deals with everyday. Say thanks to Corey, Candice and Denise and all the pharmacy department. Everyone of them very professional bat their job and vwry nice. The ladies at the front A+ Rebecca leads the way. She a very special person. Last all counselors, Kim, Adrian, and others.. If your looking for a professional place to restart your life. UCS would be a great first start. The place is clean, professional. Plus at most it only takes 15 min to get your dose. Average 5 min to dose, depends on time of day. Ive been with the clinic for 5 years. Unfortunately i need go back home. Give ucs a try. Thanks Brent Varney

I decided to change my total review or opinions that I had of UCS. I was being negative about a place that has shown me LOVE,SUPPORT AND MUCH MORE since I found myself at their doorstep years ago. This place may be run as a Government facility but the money they receive does really Help them Help others! I have seen ALOT of good things and bad things happen at this place,but overall I really support what they are doing for people that need help and support when all other options have failed them.If all other options have not worked for you,than this is a place that can either make or break you. It's up to the individual to decide where they will end up ultimately. I hope this sends a better message than my previous comments.

I just want to thank my counselor David and the staff there you are amazing!!! You've helped me when I thought I was going to lose my mind!!! Thank you so much!!! Well i want to add more Debbie she works in the front OMG let me tell you she has a heart of SOLID GOLD SHE MAKES ME FEEL LIKE SHE IS SO EXCITED IM THERE...IVE BEEN TO HELL AND BACK AND SHE'S STILL THERE...JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU DEBBIE...ALSO TO THAT WONDERFUL DR...THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME....
