My husband and I have had him over the past 20 years and have followed him from Fort Dodge Ia to Ankeny Ia for our foot care/ surgeries and will continue to follow him. They staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Dayton was quick and efficient. I wish they would've given more care instruction after surgery, as well as more care instruction after my initial check-up. There was a month in between check-up and my surgery so if there was more pain management and caring for my wound instruction I might not of needed to get refills on my antibiotics. Otherwise shorten the gap from the consultation to the actual surgery

I came to the clinic after having a prior “traditional” failed bunion surgery. I had seen random pop ups in my Facebook of lapiplasty and I was intrigued! I took the leap of faith during a pandemic and made an appointment. Not only did I have a Bunion but my bunion had pushed on my second toe dislocating it. My experience from initial appointments to surgery and to all post op follow ups have been wonderful. I have recommended Dr. Dayton to others. I can go for walks with no pain. I had a bunion surgery on December 7th. I’ve had very very little pain with this surgery. I am very active and spend lots of time in the outdoors which has been extremely had for me !! I can't say enough good things about the Foot and Ankle Center. Everyone goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and informed. I had bunion/hammertoe surgery on my right foot the last of October and bunion surgery the last of January on my left foot. The whole process was so worth it! When I first called to set up appointment receptionist was very friendly and helpful.. Rest of staff was very friendly as well in X-ray and the surgery scheduler. I couldn't make my first appointment do to weather, so I called to let the know they were very nice and was able to get me another appointment where I didn't have to wait long to get back in. I was very impressed with Dr. Dayton very knowledgeable and explained everything that he would be doing and why. And made sure I knew what I was looking at for healing time. I had been to a different Podiatrist in the area 3 different times. Each time I went to my previous Podiatrist he barely thought to even remove my shoes!! Each of the three times I had seen him I felt like a fool because he continued to dismiss my issues. I was so frustrated and fed up with the poor care he had provided me that I requested another recommendation from my primary doctor and I AM SO HAPPY I DID! My primary care doctor gave me the information for Dr. Mindi Dayton. My doctor had told me that Dr. Mindi preferred to evaluate new patients with her own findings and that was definitely something that stood out to me. I was so comfortable with the idea of a fresh set of eyes on the issues I had been having with my feet for too long. I was diagnosed for surgery from another doctor. Came to Dr. Mindi Dayton for a second opinion. She provided the same diagnosis, but I felt so much more comfortable with her. There was no rush to leave for the next patient and she walked through all the details and even provided information that I didn't think of. Ultimately, I haven't had the surgery yet, but I knew I'd rather go with her than someone who wanted to move on to the next patient before I could ask my next question. I feel more confident with Dr. Dayton than I did with the other Doctor.

You should be so fortunate to have Dr. Paul Dayton recommended to you. He repaired my first TRAUMATIC (I wish I could emphasize this more) bunion surgery performed by another surgeon which was no small "feet" :) It took meeting with him three times over the course of months to finally decide to go through with it. The experience was night/day; from his bedside manner to his thoroughness to caring about the outcome of the procedure and ME as a patient. I needed bunion surgery on the other foot and a year later had no qualms having it done. My husband and I are amazed at how different our experience was with the Daytons. Professional, caring, and energized about the new technology they offer that literally puts you back on your feet within days. Unbelievable. Thankful. If you are procrastinating, like the commercial says "just do it". You won't be disappointed.

Good first impression. The nurse was very helpful. I will be back in 2 weeks. I will observe how things go.

I had Lapiplasty done in Jan. of 2020 and had my last follow up appointment this week. Not only were Dr. Dayton and his wife Dr. Dayton great to work with but the entire staff was outstanding. It was apparent that they care about the patients - even remembering my name and where I work and various details about my life that I had shared. To be quite fair, you don't get that kind of treatment at many doctor's offices. Hopefully I don't have to return (fingers crossed I don't break anything!) but if I do, I will be more than happy to do so. On that note, I have been very happy with the results of my surgery. I had a very prominent and painful bunion on my right foot. Not only does it look much more aesthetically pleasing but my pain level is night and day from what it was before.

1st foot was done 7/6/21 and the 2nd foot on 9/7/21. Just saw Paul today both feet are healing and looking great. Followed instructions, very little pain throughout and have had very little swelling. Cleared for any shoe....but will be careful as it can take up to a year to fully heal. Highly recommend

I have been taken care by Foot and Ankle Center of Iowa, Ankeny location, for about three months and an half, due to an injury. The service received was at the top of my expectations. I felt welcomed, my questions and concerns were answered, and the staff was professional and friendly at the same time. I really hope I won't broke an ankle, and I won't need this kind of care again, but I enthusiastically would recommend this practice to anyone that might need their service.

Dr. Mindi Dayton was great! I was super nervous about getting part of ingrown toe nail removed but she was super nice and talked to me during the whole procedure to calm my nerves. I made an appointment at this office for an Achilles’ tendon issue from a softball injury. I was afraid they wouldn’t be able to give me any relief. During a thorough exam of both ankles Dr Mindi’s recommendation was to start with physical therapy. The office sent me to a great physical therapist that was near my home. I had relief from my symptoms right away. The experience was great all the way through. Making the appointment, being greeted when I went to the office, the office visit, the treatment. They have even followed up with me since. I wish that a person could count on this type of care at every doctor’s office!!

After another “doctor” botched my first bunion surgery, I knew I needed a second opinion. Dr.Paul did a revision surgery to remove the old hardware, fix what was done and lengthen my toe. I had my lapiplasty surgery on June 18th. I am now 4 weeks post-op. I held out having bunion surgery because I was looking for a better alternative to traditional bunion surgery. I found a great alternative, Lapiplasty. I have had a great experience starting with the front office staff all the way to Dr Mindi Dayton and Dr. Paul Dayton. I have not had pain, the recovery has been good and most of all my toe is straight. Bunion surgery is not something you want to do, but this really has been a good experience. If you’re on the fence about having Lapiplasty, I say....Go For It with Foot and Ankle Center of Iowa.
