The labor and delivery birth center was amazing and did a fantastic job with making me, my husband and our newborn comfortable. We are first time parents and with that comes a lot of anxiety. At North Suburban everyone on staff was so kind and willing to answer any questions we had. They also offered to help us if we needed help with things like understanding breastfeeding, bathing our baby, diaper changing and so on. I had a C-section so I was down for a good chunk of our stay. The first night and into the second day it was hard for me to help. My husband however took over and the nurses and other staff members helped him feel comfortable in caring for our daughter. The food service is also very good too, with a menu that has a good variety of options. My meals were free but my husband did have to pay for his. However at $7 bucks he got a TON of food!! One entree, one drink, one dessert and up to four different sides, for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Not only did North Suburban help us when we were there, but they sent us home with a huge lasagna so that we don’t have to worry about food for the next couple of nights. I’d 100% recommend North Suburban!!

North Suburban Medical Center, my experience with this institution was one of the best in the medical field. The staff at the ER could not have treated me better than they did that night, I felt safe and very well taken care of. The ambulance staff was fantastic, they were friendly and quick to make decision about my situation. The staff at the Med Surge Unit made my stay comfortable. All in all this was the best care anyone could receive. Thank you all so very much for all that you do.

Honestly, I was nervous when Mom was taken here for a stroke, but she was treated quickly and with great care by her ER physician and ER nurse. There was good communication between us and they truly wanted to be sure both Mom and I were as comfortable as possible. Due to the fact that Mom's care team was at another facility, the transfer was made seamlessly thanks to the action of our Dr and Nurse. She received great care and the test results were transferred quickly to the other facility to ensure her care was great. All in all, a very good experience.

I delivered my still born son on 12-9-2022 at north suburban hospital. The team was wonderful. I really loved the nurse April she was very caring And attentive. She hugged me a few times and let me know that my husband wasn’t alone. She had the delivery free a little bit stressful. I could tell she was very busy as she was assigned to a few Patience. But she was very nice very sweet very understanding came in a timely matter when pushing my call light button. I really wish there where more nurses and medical staff like April. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. She also came back into my room before she had to leave to give me a hug and wish me well.

We felt we had great labor and delivery nurses! Then after the birth of our child the switch to care nurses was a different experience don’t feel they helped me with my after care and what I needed to do for my C-section recovery and getting me back on my feet. There was one care nurse that was very helpful in teaching my husband with ways to take care of our baby. It was a long 5 days in the hospital . The food and choice of healthier sides could be improved

Second surgery at this facility. First time went great this time not so much. Nurse was great but didn’t get my IV in the first time so had to get poked twice. Surgery was an hour late (even though my surgeon was there on time). When you’re fasting and hungry and you’ve already been there for hours, this is frustrating. Recovery nurse was rude to my husband, so they didn’t get along well. He felt like they were trying to rush us out of recovery. My belongings bag with my clothes was lost, so had to wear scrubs and socks home on a cold night. When we were discharged they didn’t go through ANY instructions with us. Luckily I called the next day and they found my stuff, so my husband drove back over to get them. The anesthesiologist was great and every interaction with her was great. All in all, my surgery went fine, but quite a few hiccups along the way.

Not only am I an employee at NSMC, but was also a patient. I was seen in the ER on 11/23 and tested positive for the flu. My nurses were amazing! Especially Rose C. and Amanda S! Very professional, caring and attentive. They got me back on my feet. I appreciate our ER team so much!

The staff is incredible. So caring and helpful. This is a VERY busy ER. Many people dropped off by first responders and police. I was shocked by having to go through a metal detector and standing behind bullet proof glass but once on the other side it feels semi normal to others hospitals. The hospital was clean and organized. But the rooms were freezing. So so cold from the ambulance doors opening every 10 minutes. I will go to another ER of possible to allow space for others in greater need.

I was satisfied, that I didn't have to wait very long when I was admitted. I guess emergency patients are taken in as to their urgent care. And my care may have been attributed to my symptoms. And I am thankful for the timely sense of care. The nurses were great.

The Doctors and every Nurse I had contact with were all so kind and caring and the Nurses always went the extra steps to make sure I was and felt cared for at all times. I was extremely impressed with everyone including the housekeeping and room service. Even the food was good the whole time. I highly recommend this hospital.

I had back surgery and from the minute I walked in the door for pre-registration until my release I was treated with utmost respect and care. I wish I could remember all the names of all the nurses and staff that took care of me, each of them deserve five stars. I couldn't have been treated better. I am from out of town. I was very impressed at the speed at which I received ER care. Everyone was friendly, yet professional. Christian Oggel, PA, did a great job of managing the tests that were run. Dr. Dietrich was patient and kind in explaining the results. It's hard to imagine being provided with better ER care.

I visited here 1st time and I found nice doctor, nurses and good service. But my suggestion is that please don't keep 2 patients in one bedroom and bathroom. It's making bothering for both parties so please manage separate room for each patient should be excellent 👌 😌. Patient will be feel better. Thank You for your service. …

Such a great experience. My mom broke her hip while we were in from out of town for my daughter's wedding. The ambulance took her here where she had surgery and stayed a few days. The staff was so amazing, even hooked her up with a live stream of the wedding!

The staff and doctors that treated me were awsome! It would have been better if they gave me a narcotic for my pain instead 0f toroidal, but no... the doctors should treat patients short term with narcotics, and do not be afraid! There not going to be addicted in emergency!💊💊💊🙄🙄🙄I think they should get rid of the pain clinics and give the control back to the doctors. Most doctors are good, and know what is good for their patients. They practice the motto of first do no harm. They need to get government out of medicine, and give it back to the doctors!!!🏥🏥😠😠😠💊💊

The entire staff was great! Thank goodness for Sammy and Megan in labor and delivery. I seriously couldn’t have done such a hard labor without their help and guidance. They worked great together and both pushed me passed my limits (which is exactly what I needed to avoid a c section). Rosa was great as well. Our baby was spitting up formula and other liquids and she took the time to see what was going on. She changed the formula, changed the nipple size and even fed him herself to make sure he was okay. She also fed him for us while we tended to ourselves which was a lifesaver.

I had to go to the ER for a work comp issue. Everyone here was SO kind and professional. The nurse working triage was so sweet and accommodated my annoying requests without making me feel bad about it. Dr. Vangeti was very nice. It did take awhile. Remember that these are the people who still show up to take care of us. It costs nothing to be kind. I've heard a lot of negative things about NSMC and was very pleasantly surprised by how wonderful everyone was.

My dad, John Smiley, was sent to North Suburban on Christmas Day. That is where the ambulance chose to take him and we had never been there before. After arriving, we honestly thought, how did we get sent to this place? It seemed small, old and honestly a bit sketchy and my dad was this decorated Vietnam Vet that we felt deserved better. After he was admitted, he spent several days there until unfortunately he was moved to hospice. What I can tell you is that my dad has spent a lot of time in hospitals in the past 6 months and this is by far, the best care he/we have ever received. The CNAs, nurses, doctors and case manager actually cared about my dad and did not just right him off as being old. My dad was lucky enough to have the same nurse 4 days straight, Spencer Jenkins, and he was truly a gift from god. Not only a fantastic nurse, but his compassion and caring went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you to the team at North Suburban. I will forever be grateful.

I had one pre-op nurse who spent all of my time telling me stories about her terrible relationships using some very colorful language. Everyone else was extraordinarily nice, although my second night in the hospital I asked a couple of times for pain pills and never received them. (And this was after major orthopedic surgery)

I've been in almost none stop pain here and the doctors and nurses have been so attentive to my recovery. I'm embarrassed to admit I was in so much pain that I lashed out on the nurse who was in charge of my care and the entire time she was so calm and kind to me. I apologized to her, but I'll never forget that. She sees people at their worst moments and probably has to deal with so much abuse in her line of work and she is still just so amazing. Same with the doctors here. Thank you North Suburban!!

I was there only over night, was in alot of pain from accident. Ive been in hospital before and never, never have had anyone with so much joy, and respect for others. like they really injoyed their job. Jae Gore was the most awesome nurse who cared for me, she treated me as if I was her family. I was sad to find I wouldn't get to see her when I left the next day. The staff at NSMCj was excellent, and made a not-so-fun knee replacement very tolerable. I want to especially thank Nurse Jen in Pre-OP for her delightful personality, her professionalism, and her willingness to dive-in and address issues as the arose. And anyone who calls me"honey" gets 5 stars. I am planning to have my second knee replaced the spring, so knowing what I now know will make that surgery far less stressful than the first. The people at the imaging center at North Suburban were super friendly, efficient, and professional. The office is clean and comfortable. I waited for about one minute to be called back, my appointment was done in 10-15 minutes, and I was out the door in less than half an hour. My results were conveyed to me by phone in 2 days and by letter in about a week.

This hospital is everything you could hope for in one. I have had two babies here and their L&D floor is immaculate (even before the remodel), their level of care and compassion on that floor is unimaginable. They all treat you as if you were their sister, best friend, daughter, etc. However my review today is primarily about my ER experience last night. I came to the ER in an insane amount of pain, they had an action plan ready within 2 min of being in the room. They had me laughing, smiling, all of it. They were the kindest care team I have ever had in any ER experience, and they made me feel at home (HUGE thing to say for an emergency room floor). They were beyond patient with me and respectful, but most of all compassionate. They knew the pain I was in, and that it was a big deal to ME, and promptly treated me as such. They verbally walked me through every little step of everything, which I deeply appreciated. Dr Christopher Bassett, Dr. Saintsing, Rose, Kathy & Stephanie from England, THANK YOU. Back in November I gave natural unmedicated birth (aside from needing cytotec to begin labor induction) in labor and delivery at this hospital and I had the best experience possible. Jamie (I think that's how she spelled her name) was the absolute best nurse to have on my support team. I was 6-7 cm dilated and hadn't had much interaction with any other nurses, since they were all busy with an emergency c section (understandable for sure). Jamie came in the room and brought me so much relief and support just by being there. I told her that I did originally want to try for a natural birth, but I wasn't sure because of how painful the contractions were. She called in the anaesthetist to give me the epidural, just in case I decided I wanted it. Jamie encouraged me throughout the rest of my labor, helped me through my long deep breaths, and supported me through my childbirth experience. I successfully accomplished my goal of having an unmedicated labor experience thanks to the support of this lovely and amazing woman. I hope every woman who sees this review has the opportunity to have Jamie on their team while going through labor. Thank you Jamie, Liz, and the North Suburban medical team for a wonderful birthing experience.

Tired of All this

The only negative thing I could say was that there was a bit of construction going on in the lobby. So what. And my procedure was delayed by a couple of hours due to circumstances beyond their control. The people were absolutely the best from entrance to exit. The technician and doctor we great. The technician in particular was excellent for staying with me throughout the delay keeping my mind off the upcoming procedure while we waited 2 hours. After a few more visits my opinion of North Suburban has only gotten better. The people are excellent. Procedures were timely and made as comfortable as possible.

I want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Azer and the nurses in the ER on 10/23/22 They were awesome and fast! Dr. Azer heard what I was going through, after I was basically turned away at st. Anthony north last week while not being able to swallow. I knew something was wrong and I decided to come back to north suburban for a second opinion. She acted quickly, thoroughly, and effectively. She was super kind, and treated me based on the facts at hand. I could tell she really cares! When I arrived at North Suburban I was attended to right away. I was moved to a holding room where I was on a gurney where I stayed the night. I was most uncomfortable and felt like I was laying on bars. The response by nursing staff was slower them molasses. I needed something done. They finally showed up and when o explained the problem they said they laying on your side. Couldn’t raise or lower my bed by myself so when I needed the bed to be adjusted I had to call. Finally shift change and the nurse said let’s put you in the recliner. Finally I was able to sleep. Then off to surgery and finally a room thank god. Once I was up on the fifth floor the nursing staff was so much more attentive . Home recovering now.

I've been going to N Suburban for years for my mammograms. Everyone from the front desk to the technicians have always been friendly and make me feel comfortable. From the decorated wristbands to the heated gowns, little touches that make a difference. The technicians have always very efficient and considerate, so that the visit is quick and (nearly) stress free! They tell you what they're going to do before they do it. I feel completely confident the technicians "know their stuff". The followup is great - a heads up phone call followed by a letter. "See you next year"!

Great experience. I walked in I was waited on by two or three different ER nurses. Did not have to wait very long. The nurse was awesome. The experience of my biopsy at North Suburban was very positive. Ahead of the procedure, I was given good information about what to expect, and the nurse was caring and personable, and I was kept comfortable throughout. What was a bit frustrating, on the organizational side, was to learn the day before that my insurance company had not been contacted for the pre-authorization, but this got accomplished before the biopsy. I'm not sure whether this was the doctor's office or the hospital kind of dropping the ball.

Jen in same day surgery was exceptional. All the staff, nurses, Anesthesia, Dr. Miller, Nuclear Medicine, were really super, all questions were answered and wishes regarding narcotic medications were honored. I didn't take a pre-op narcotic and others given during surgery were in low enough doses that I did not have a post-op narc hangover. There was a little confusion at the check-in desk. I've been using this hospital for over 14 years and this was a first - computers weren't working correctly and I think she was looking at another patient's file as information did not match, but then again the patient prior to me had the exact same last name as mine. In the final result, all my information was correct, there were multiple checks - by everyone - as to which side the surgery was being done on and it was done on the correct side. Every time I have been to this hospital, it has had the atmosphere and feel of a small community hospital, which for me is the best!

My visit was obviously unplanned ,staff made me feel safe and taken care of , the doctor visited me quickly and listened to what was going on with me . I was there for quite awhile and during that time my room was cleaned twice. Everyone I encountered was kind and compassionate. Rose my nurse was great she really took time to get my IV started and my blood drawn in a careful gentle manner

I work with the respiratory and physical therapy department on a daily basis as an outside vendor assisting north suburban with their patients. I see day in and day out how all the RT'S and PT'S give 100% for their patients! When i had a supra ventricular tachacardic event happen while working at their hospital and saw how they rushed into action basically saving my life i was again impressed! Soon after i had surgery on my heart and feel better than ever thanks to the expertise and caring at North suburban! i cant thank them enough!

Lady at registration when above and beyond getting my lab orders faxed over because despite my dr office faxing them to the lab TWICE, the lab couldn't find them. And the phlebotomist who drew my blood did in one painless attempt, which is unheard of for me who is really a horrible stick.

The nursing staff, the doctors and literally every single person I came in contact with over my 4 days staying here were amazing. They truly care about their patients. Through a time of great struggle, insane amounts of weather related injuries like mine, covid and everything else, these folks all stay calm and make you feel as comfortable as possible. I will go out of my way to come back here if I need a hospital every again even though they are 35 miles away from my home.

I usually do not provide feedback when asked because everyone is asking and it is too much to answer all the surveys. However, I had to answer this one because my experience at North Suburban Medical Center was great. I had knee replacement surgery and the nurse assigned to me was Melissa. She did the best job ever. She was easy going but yet very knowledgeable and what I should expect. It made the experience much easier. Thanks!!

Quality and safety of medical care was fine, no complaints. They were out of a couple small items while prepping me for surgery, but these days with supply chain problems that is probably the same everywhere, it didn't compromise my surgery in any way. My huge issue is that they required me to pay them my full insurance deductible during pre-registration for outpatient surgery. They are in-network for me so they should NOT be allowed to do that, they should submit a claim so my insurance can determine payment. Now all that money is tied up and I will owe money to the other providers (surgeon, anesthesia etc) who HAVE submitted claims. I have filed a complaint with the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative.

My visit here was the best experience I could ask for! Having my first child and choosing to have him at North Suburban Medical Center was a great decision. From the moment I got to the er they quickly got me up to a room within no time and got to evaluating me and getting me admitted right away. All the nurses, the anesthesiologists, the Cnm, the doctor, the lactation nurse, to the pediatricians they were all great! They always checked to make sure I was comfortable along with my partner and always made sure to answer any questions that we had. The birthing rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean as well. But nothing beats the people who work here. Overall it was a great experience, especially since this was my first child and everything went smoothly!

First and foremost, the nurses were amazing— specifically Sierra and Donna! So professional and compassionate in their care. Sadly, I can’t say the same for the techs. They were both argumentative and disrespectful. Also, as the result of a clerical error, It took entirely too long for me to be moved from recovery to a private room after my surgery. The entire facility was kept far too hot, which caused me severe breathing problems. Also, a mentally unstable patient was on my same floor and he screamed threats the entire time I was there. No attempt was made to control him.

The staff was awesome! The ED made sure I was comfortable and got me a room as quickly as possible. The nurses I had on the floor were caring and made sure I had what I could before going to surgery. The presurgical team was funny and friendly and made sure I was I was relaxed before my procedure. I came out of surgery only remembering that I was wrapped in warm blankets and that I comfortable before leaving. Both the overnight and day shift nurses were very attentive, caring, and personable. I would definitely go back to this hospital in a heartbeat for the care that I received.

When I first got there I was treated so badly the male nurse who did my consultation said it wasn’t an emergency to be coming for a “sore swollen muscle” he told me that was fixed with ice and drugstore pills he made me feel really judged and not being taken seriously about the pain I was feeling but after that the hospital professional treated me better and found out it wasn’t a “sore swollen muscle” it was something more serious than that and it was Caught on time before it got worst so thank you to the professional who took the time to helped me out I’m still recovering but I’m really thankful for that

I waited over an hour in the procedure room for Dr Sellers. Then when the Dr finally arrived after over an hour he did a quick 3 min assessment and told me it would be a while still. I kept having to ask how much longer before my Doctor would start the procedure. And, although my nurse (Kathy) was nice she didn’t wear gloves when preparing the equipment they were gonna use for my procedure. So unprofessional and unsanitary. Not a very good experience at North Suburban.

Mostly good. The staff while not being rude, were not very upbeat or in tune with the patients needs. The nurse that placed the IV stint and took blood was a former paramedic, he was good at what he does but he was also a bit rough with my 90 year old father. Caused a lot of bruising and a clot in the arm he utilized resulting in another staff member moving the IV to the other arm.

I wish I could put more stars because the staff was so nice. This hospital does not offer to check your car seat before you leave unlike other hospitals. I'm not sure as to why one of my medication dosages was skipped, maybe my pain level was underestimated? It seemed the hospital was understaffed? Even though some things seemed modern there were other things like old charting practices and medical equipment that were substandard. Admittedly I do not have a lot of hospitalization experience. The only other time I was hospitalized was 6 years ago at Lutheran but even 6 years ago equipment and offerings at that location were better however the staff was exceedingly pleasant at North Suburban, better than any other hospital I have been to for myself or others.

My scheduled mammogram visit offered pre-registration, which was great. When I did arrive I was checked in quickly. I was seen by the technician quickly. She was very pleasant, professional and explained everything. I was told I would get the results in 7-10 days via mail. I received a phone call 3 days later letting me know the results. This was especially appreciated as waiting for results can cause great anxiety. My second visit there in 3 years. Everyone in this department have always been great. A+ Getting the A-OK phone call quickly is huge, and very considerate. I highly recommend North Suburban Medical Center. I just had my last visit a week ago. Yearly mammogram and again everything and everyone was perfect. Highly recommend. Phone call days later was greatly appreciated.

I will say the nurses in labor and delivery are very smart and capable. My doctor had me admitted for preeclampsia for monitoring and they were efficient. Nurse Renee at night was incredible! She was compassionate, caring, and kind. The other nurses, honestly, made me feel bad for taking up a bed. It felt like they kept implying I was making up the high blood pressures my doctor saw in the office. I just wanted to leave, it really felt horrible. There is not much worse than feeling like a nuisance to your medical team. Thankfully, Renee did not treat me this way, she was lovely and I will never forget it!

Gave birth here on March 14, 2021. The labor and delivery nursing staff is so amazing. Every single person I saw in my room was wonderful. They took great care of me and helped guide me through the labor process. They respected my preferences and choices for how I wanted my delivery to go. Kelly was amazing at coaching me through the delivery. My Dr. was not there, but Dr. Volin did a great job delivering. This all was during a major snowstorm. Only complaint is that I was preregistered for the delivery but still was getting calls in the middle of contractions asking for my insurance information which was already in the system. Luckily, my husband was able to take over the phone to give them that information again.

I work in Healthcare and was amazed at the care provided everyone was super nice and professional. And it came across as genuine. The only thing that was a problem were my medications and discharge instructions. I was asked if I took any medication in the ER but wasn't given my first medications until after I took my own from home post surgery 3 days later I was in the hospital for 4-days. Again my medications were not listed on the discharge summary so I had to follow-up with the hospital then the surgeon. I'd work here.

Kelly, Becky and Melissa made sure to put me in a more "private" room since I knew so much of the staff. My OR team was fabulous also. Nikki P, Ali, George, and Stacey were all so caring. They made sure that my wants were met and that it was the best experience I could have asked for (especially when you work there with them.) Then PACU was just as great. Becky, Rebecca and Kelly all made sure that I had no pain and even were in no rush to send me out of there when it took me a bit to wake up. As always it was 5 star care!

Absolutely the most amazing and compassionate care I have ever received!! The entire staff on the 5th floor and 2nd floor went so far above and beyond to care for me during the most painful time of this Marine's life. And Alicia in the food service side, Absolutely an angel. I loved the chocolate chip cookies they had and just by being super awesome at her job, she knew how hard of a time I was having and made it a point to bake me a fresh one every time!! It sounds crazy but that touch of professionalism and true compassion Absolutely made my day 3 times a day that got me through such rough experience. I just want to say if you are fortunate it enough to stay at this hospital, it will re-dfine the way you think of hospital's and you will be receiving the best care yku could ever experience !!!!!!! My visit was good The staff was very compassionate toward my well being. They took all measures to make sure that I was safe asked me the right questions about being around anyone that I've been around . Made me comfortable so that I would feel better. The only complain that I had the nurse took the needle out of my arm so fast it bled and I had to let her know that I was bleeding. It left a big bruise in my arm. She would have sent me home with blood everywhere on me. I thought that was unacceptable, I feel she was not paying attention and just wanted me to leave. She cleaned me up but never said she was sorry, so that I didn't like very much. Other then that I was treated well.

I had a scheduled c-section on April 6, during my procedure there were some complications. Dr Volin saved my life and delivered my daughter safely. During recovery every labor and delivery nurse that walked in the room was so amazing. Even the lactation nurses were so awesome and encouraging. My wife fell and broke her hip emergency room was good she suffers from aphasia due to a previous surgery which made the check into the hospital a very rough time the charge nurse had no idea what that was and would not allow me to check in my wife because it was after 8:00 Covid 19 protocol. I understand the pandemic but she can’t speak for herself on important matters for hospital check-in when I insisted she leave the hospital a supervisor allowed me to stay 15 minutes to check her in. Aside from that one male charge nurse my wife was very happy with all the other nurses and how well they took care of her. Physical therapy did the best they could with a broken hip but didn’t understand her limitations on her right side due to her stroke from a brain tumor the one bright side in addition to the nurses what’s the surgeon it repaired the hip doctor Noel. The food in the cafeteria not good most of our meals were brought in thank God for door dash

Almost everyone was wonderful...my nurse Barbara in pre-op was super! She was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and she was very cheerful too! The only part that was not good was in the recovery room. I only vaguely remember the person that "helped" me. I was barely awake and she said oh, good, you're awake (at least from what I remember). She told me she would help me get dressed and ready to go in a few minutes, but first she would go and tell my husband to bring the car around?! When she came back, she got me dressed, she told me not to worry about my bra. I think I was taking to long getting it on. She helped me get my shoes on, put everything in a bag, got me into a wheelchair and sent me home! I think I got the "bums rush"...not sure why?

10 out of 5 stars! My 8 month old daughter was admitted Saturday evening for seizures through the ER and then we stayed in the pediatric unit until today (Tuesday). They exhausted every single avenue to find out why this poor baby had 4 seizures in one day. I had taken her to St. Anthony’s North earlier that Saturday and they checked her vitals and sent her home and said she was fine. Turns out she had a bladder infection and was having febrile seizures and we would have never known if it hadn’t been for the amazing people at North Suburban. The people in the ER didn’t seem scared to take on such a young baby and they were way more knowledgeable than the people in the ER at the other hospital. The nurses in the pediatric hospital were PHENOMENAL. I’ll be honest that the first few nurses we had I don’t remember their names. I was too worked up about why my baby was so sick to even care at that point but nonetheless they took such amazing care of her. Joban, Harper, and Keisha were the last of her nurses and they were incredible as well and I hope they get some recognition for all their amazing work. No one ever doubted me or made me feel crazy or anything. They listened, they researched, they tested, they reassured me. They were the best. Second to only the phenomenal incredible experience I had with the nurses at PSL in Denver where my daughter was born early and taken care of in the NICU. Thank you so much to everyone who looked after her so well. I will forever be indebted to your kindness, knowledge, and help to get my baby girl better ❤️

Great nurses and doctors but the only thing that was very bad was when they discharged my dad who was there for 21 days he was released on a Friday night they sent his medications to a pharmacy for that wasn’t open on the weekends and then the the pharmacy doesn’t accept outside prescriptions. I tried transferring to another pharmacy said it would take a few days the medication but the pharmacy won’t do it, It is now Wednesday. I called the nurse station on the 5th floor and they said they can no longer help me. They should at least verify the pharmacy with the family or caretakers. My dad needs these psych medications asap, they were no help. Shout out to Megan, A couple of male nurses I believe one is named kevin, and Candy for helping my dad and going out of your way to inform me and going out of your way to help him during the pandemic.

Let me start by saying my post op care was fantastic. Every nurse and assistant was attentive and kind. I always felt safe and secure in their care. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the physical surroundings in my room and abysmal meals. I was on the 5th floor. My room was rather depressing from the quality of the furnishings, to the OR like lighting plus the fact that the TV was out of commission (good thing I had a book to read) and the computer used by the nurses needed a new monitor. Now the food was down right awful. I was served a piece of cold, totally over cooked dried out salmon with passible green beans, again cold. The following morning I went with yogurt, banana, and toast. There were no English muffins or bagels available. I believe NSMC needs to take a hard look at their meal service provider and give them a kick in the butt concerning the quality of food prep. I'm certain with a bit more care they could bring the food up many notches.

I cannot thank every single member of this labor and delivery staff enough for the kindness and support that they have shown. Val, who was here through the delivery, was fantastic. Dr. Tucker, Heather the anesthesiologist, and everyone else who was in the room during and after delivery, was excellent. A few days after surgery on my knee, I became concerned with discoloration on my leg. After talking to the 24-hour nurse at the hospital where I had surgery, she recommended that I go to the nearest Emergency Room. I was admitted immediately where the nurse and the attending Dr. begin checking my vital signs and assuring me and my wife that it was probably not a blood clot.. Everyone was professional and very kind. They filled me in on everything that that they were doing. They x-rayed my knee and did an utrasound on my leg. All tests were negative for any issues. I was in and out in under two hours. Great staff, professional team!

The doctors work is great. The nursing work is not good. For my opinion at time to find the place to install the IV should be more professional nurse (they tried 7 (seven) different times with different nurses at different places and finally install the IV at my neck with a very big pain. For now (after 11 days after precision) I still have a pain and big (and very dark) bruise and something like a ball (compression) inside.

I had a full knee replacement. Before surgery I was given 110-% assurance that my pain would be managed. I told the staff 6 years prior I had the same knew replaced and I was in serious pain from that operation. I left the recovery room after many hours of screaming pain. To be honest with 3 prior heart attacks I was surprised I did not go into cardiac arrest. I was sent up to a medical unit and around 8 hours later my pain level was finally a 9 on a scale of 1-10. The nursing staff was good to me and took great care of me.

I’ve also in the past have had to take myself and my son to the ER on a few occasions over the last year and I’ve never had any issues or complaints with that department either.

I had gone to North Suburban via ambulance. Once I was there, their were a lot of nice staff from RN’s and registration. The only problem I encountered was when the MD was ready to discharge me, my BP was 187/112, which is extremely high for me. I needed my back muscle spasms to stop. I asked the dr to you feel comfortable with me leaving with my bp so high. He then asked me what is it that you want me to do! I asked for trigger point injections but he was only able to give at most 2, which I already knew wasn’t going to help. I asked him to give me more tordal and a shot of Valium. The nurse comes back to the room with a tordal injection and Valium pills. I knew that narcotics were not going to take care of this problem, I needed an anti-inflammatory medication. The tordal took a little of the edge off, the Valium really didn’t help much. I had made 2 trips via ambulance for my pain, x-rays and a CT scan were done. They initially thought I had a blood clot. I finally went to St. Anthony’s North(3rd day) They also did xrays and a CT scan and found a pulmonary nodule. This was my second CT scan, the module was not noted on the first one at North Suburban but the pulmonary module was noted on the CT scan at St Anthony’s North. All the staff were nice the 2 times I was there but I really feel like the doctor who was treating me at my North Suburban, showed very little action to resolve the problem I had presented with. They all knew I was a RN. That was my only complaint about North Suburban, otherwise they all did what they could to make me comfortable, unfortunately I was not to close to my to figuring out what was wrong with me until going to the hospital x3. I thank the staff for taking care of me.

Everything about the appointment was great, except that none of the communication that I received ahead of time told me which building to go to. My appointment was at 8 am so I couldn't call and get directions the day of the appointment and I went to 3 different buildings to find the right office. I heard another patient complaining about the same thing when I was leaving. Fix your communication!

My grandson had to go to the hospital because of a virus that made him extremely sick. The ER team was above exceptional with him. He was submitted to hospital and the compassion and excellence continued with his care up until he was transferred to Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital. The nurses, lab tech,s nurse assistants aids were wonderful, professional, friendly n just great staff n human beings. However the doctors were lacking in empathy, bedside manner and was not impressed with their treatment. Starting with the emergency doctor who did not abide by the hippa. Examined me in the waiting room, asked personal health questions in the waiting room etc She asked if I wanted to go to a room or was I fine with her examining in waiting room. Had no knowledge of hippa was in extreme pain n discomfort. Her manner was brisk n not empathetic. The iv that was inserted in emergency room hurt the whole time. Inserted where the arm bends. Had pain in my arm the whole time the iv was in that location. Developed a lump in the upper arm. Was admitted to 2nd floor n saw 3 dif docs for 10 min in morn. Never saw them later. The case worker was insistant that I call docs frm my hosp bed after having a procedure that left me vomitting and severe pain in leg n abdomen. The list that she gave me was not correct. The doc did not accept Medicare. So inefficient!! The releasing doctor n one I talked w several times was alright. The doctor that did the procedure was great,friendly, explained everything n very efficient. Still I wont be returning to North Suburb an any time soon.

I have had 3 of my children here, most recently on June 21st, 2016. They stuck to my birth plan and were willing to, which surprisingly can be hard to find these days. My nurse Debbie was super nice to me even after I yelled at her while in labor 😉 Over in postpartum I was well taken care of and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The lactation consultants Bonnie and Kelly came in and helped me for about 2 hours. I have been unsuccessful in breast feeding with my other 3 children and so far things are actually working out! Well unfortunately im in and out of the hospital. I have been to most hospitals in the Denver Metro Area but most times use North Suburban Medical Center. The doctors and nurses are some of the best in the business, have saved my life more than once. I would have to give 5 stars like I always do but this last visit I ran on to a situation that I was not used to by any of the doctors. The nurses were great as always along with the techs my issue is with the doctor, She would come in the morning and seem to me always in a hurry to get to the next.patient. I know my body I have been through it before and the doctor just refused to listen to me. By the third day my issue is getting worse and still I was not listen to so by the time I was released it was bad. I was told to go home and continue my meds. The ones you should have been giving me the whole time I was there. Doctors please stop and listen to your patients. Most of dont have MD's behind our name but we do live in our bodies and do have some idea of our condition. So. Please just stop and listen not that difficult.

Honestly this is not my favorite ER. I have epilepsy so I am a "frequent flyer" to ER's. North Suburban is the closest to my house so the one I get transported to most often although it is not my hospital and where I end up at most of the time. My last incident was not so great, not so much for me but for my husband. You see I came in with pending bruises on my face due to my six year old hitting me repeatedly to try to snap me out of it because he was frightened and we were alone. Luckily my husband was able to get home in time and I didn't asphyxiate on the couch but when we got to the ER a trauma nurse didn't let my husband back with me let alone even ask him any questions about my medical history. I HAVE A RNS BRAIN IMPLANT!! I understand if they were concerned about a possible domestic abuse situation but when I wasn't responding to any treatment they were trying maybe they should have asked my him what my drug tolerance levels are, history or best paths for treatment may be because he and my epileptologist do have the most experience in treating my seizures. Just wish someone would have listened to him to make his experience easier, I just get to sleep he's the one that has to wait there and deal with the staff giving him nasty looks and swift judgements while he's concerned about his wife the whole time. Maybe next time will be better for him.

Labor and delivery is an AWESOME aspect at North Suburban. The staff here is loyal, caring, and attentive to your personal individual needs. Ms. Pam, and charge nurse Mrs. Gianna are very wonderful, I was blessed to have them on my team during my stay. These women went out of their way to make sure that I was literally comfortable, and happy! The staff here, all staff housekeeping included. This establishment is clean, friendly, and meas business! I was very happy to have my son here at North Suburban, where they put ME FIRST!

I cannot say enough about how great everyone was. I came in not expecting to go into labor, so needless to say I was super nervous to know my first child was on their way a month early. From the nurse that checked me in, to the women that helped deliver my son and the great nurses in the NICU...my tiny new son and I could not have been in better hands. There was always a smiling nurse there that was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to help us with anything we needed. I could not have imagined a better experience becoming a first time mother. Thank you ladies for treating us so well and getting my son strong enough to come home. I appreciate you all more than words could describe❤

We just had our daughter at the hospital a few days ago and I can very impressed. I also went to the women's health group that is connected to the hospital. I feel like all the staff truly cared about me, my family and my daughter's well being. The worked well to help me accomplish my birthing plan of a healthy natural labor and gave me many options and details of each one along the way. It was a great experiance. The only negative I have is it seems that the door was always revolving. With nursing staff, doctors, and specialists. It was great that they where all there and did there job but hard to get rest. (But that's likely at any hospital.

My daughter had to have an MRI here. The staff starting at registration Joe and Lorraine were wonderful! The MRI specialists Jennifer and Robert were amazing! They made sure my daughter was comfortable and even got her a cookie when they were done! When we were walking out someone from cardiology, I believe her name was Andrea, even asked if there was anything else we needed before we left. Such wonderful experience and a great place!

Gave birth to my youngest child here. The nurses were amazing and so helpful, however the on-call delivery doctor was very unfriendly making the actual birth uncomfortable. Thankfully the nurses and maternity floor staff made it overall a great experience.

The reception staff is very polite and friendly. The pre-checkin procedure decreases your time in the waiting room. The doctors are the most efficient and I do the shortest amount of waiting in the exam rooms at this office then at ANY of my other medical offices. Love this place!

Went in for outpatient surgery and found the staff to be professional, courteous and very friendly. They were also extremely efficient and I didn’t have to wait more than ten minutes before I was taken to the pre-op and prepared for surgery.

My surgery went as well as could be expected given the regulations due to COVID-19. I had one night stay and everyone was extremely kind and helpful. I did notice there weren't any CNAs. I'm not sure if that's a hospital policy, if I was there on an off couple of days, or if it's a result of covid cutbacks, but I overheard both nurses and doctors expressing their frustrations.

One of the really good things is that I was seen quickly! The bad thing is that after 5 hours, urine and blood test, ultrasound, and cat scan, the doctor told me there was no reason for my stomach pain and sent me home without a prognosis or meds. I got the report and read it myself only to find 4 things that weren't mentioned to me that should have been and ALSO THE CAUSE OF MY PAIN. it's like the doctor didn't even read the report and just told me sucks for you go home. Followed up with my PCP and he said he hates North Suburban and to avoid going here in the future. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The nurses that I had were incredible, especially Jody E in maternity. However, I am giving only 4 stars because, on the office side of things, the processing of paperwork was quite frustrating. Having to deal with getting the proper paperwork for cremation was a nightmare. Even the cremation place said that its really difficult every time they have to work with this hospital.

I just got out minutes ago. The staff including Karen treated me so fairly and beyond. They were not judgmental and gave me the help I needed promptly. I felt I could be honest and open! I am ecstatic with their care team! I would disregard to an extent many negative reviews. This hospital knows what they're doing and if such service wasn't presented I'm sure it was in high volume. Sometimes we get scared as patients but I know North Suburban was well educated and directs what is necessary. Also, a thank you to Dr. Thomas Paluska!

In 2012 I woke up at this place. I would say they did a great job treating me; they did several X-rays, did me a CAT scan, and pulled all the glass out of my hand. There's no glass in my hand today and they were able to tell I had a cervical strain. However after I had regained consciousness, I was attached to all these things (I'm guessing it was ivs or something) and I really needed to use the restroom, so I remember trying to yell to get someone to come in the room but nobody would help me. I kept saying "hello?? I need help!! " but no one came. I REALLY needed to pee because I had been out drinking all night (that's why I was in there) and after what felt like ten minutes of pointlessly trying to get one of the staff to come in the room and tell me how to handle the situation I was in (clearly this was my first time SAVE YOUR BACKUP CODES at the hospital) I decided to just get up and take everything with me which was a terrible idea because I didn't get very far. Out of desperation I went in the linens only box because it was the closest receptacle to me at the time. Sorry North Suburban but you should train your staff to be more attentive. I heard at least two staff members outside my door when this all went down and all the sudden nurse Davis or whatever wants to walk in as soon as I'm already past the point of no return. Thank you for treating me though. You even hooked me up with a generous discount despite not being insured.

I was pleased with the care I received at North Suburban Medical Center. What could have made it better was if the information gained from the CT scan would have been explained to me in depth. Two days latter I went to an Emergency room in my home town Las Vegas. I thought I was having a heart attack. Turns out it was BIBASILAR ATELECTASIS. This condition showed up on the CT scan but not explained to me. The ER doctors here could have saved a lot of time and tests if they would have had this information.

The staff, doctors and nurses were very helpful. The monitored my symptoms of the reaction I had a latex food I had eaten. I mentioned the tape from the EKG and tape over my IV felt like it was burning my skin. They removed the EKG tape but had to wait to remove the IV. They gave me medication to help with the itching/burning I was experiencing.

The doctors were fast and accurate I had to call because I got stuck in that little snow storm all nite and day. I found a phone called and the emts vs well as the responding police woman were very confusing and extremely helpful. I still have all my fingers and toes because of u emts. I was admitted the nurses were the best part. Except 1. She was awesome but paging for help is pretty much a wait
