I am the biggest coward alive when it comes to getting my teeth worked on. Needless to say I didn't take care of them very well. I had to have two cavities filled and a badly needed cleaning. I went in scared but my experience was very pleasant. They have a lot of new techniques that weren't used even just a few years ago, I felt no pain or discomfort!

Excellent care! Karina the dental hygienist was the absolute best! When she gave me the Novocaine injections, I barely felt a tiny pinch. Karina did a beautiful job cleaning my team. Dr Somerset was very friendly and astute dentist. Pointing out a problem that needs to be watched. Front desk ladies were efficient. I’ve been coming to Inner City Dental for years and have always been and am very comfortable and totally satisfied with my care and the staff here.

I absolutely love Inner City Dental. They helped me get through 11 cavities and a root canal in the past few years with absolutely NO judgement. I have struggled with being judged and put down by previous dentists, and I have never felt anything but support from Inner City. They helped me be able to afford dental work by working with Medicaid and also offering sliding scale when I didn’t have insurance. And they were able to refer me to get a root canal at a high end oral surgeon for a fraction of the cost. Janelle taught me how to floss properly to keep my teeth and gums healthy, and after taking her advice I was cavity free this time around which is huge for me! Janelle also gave me a FREE bottle of prevident fluoride (usually costs me $30). Every doctor I have had so far has been very professional and supportive! And so have the hygienists! I truly cannot say enough good things about this place!

I have to recommend this dentist for a number of reasons, but primarily bedside manner, these dentists and hygienists are empathetic and kind. My last dentist savaged me to the point of absolute embarrassment, terrified me, I was warned I would die if I didn’t get it under control. Unfortunately this scare tactic did the opposite - I stopped going to the dentist. I even stopped brushing consistently. I felt like there was no hope. My last dentist was Comfort Dental on Colfax and Forest - don’t go there, please. The doctor at the time (11 years ago) reviewed my X-rays with his assistant even using vulgarity to describe my bone loss. I was embarrassed and ashamed, not to mention in pain, crying because the novocaine wasn’t working. I left there that day with a hole drilled in a tooth that couldn’t get a root canal because it was too infected - and my experience was so horrific that I never went back. When this tooth finally escalated a few years later I was still without insurance. I turned to social media for help and a friend who works with the homeless told me about this Inner City Health. I came here and got my first of what would be four extractions at this clinic. I was not shamed. I was comforted. The next time I went in was my birthday for another extraction, and I had just been dumped. And my dentist offered me comfort. It was so stark a difference between these dentists that I cried in the chair saying thank you. Now - I have insurance. I floss and brush every night and I am coming here for extractions, deep cleanings and eventually implants. They are less expensive and kind. When I told my dentist I had not taken good care of my teeth my whole life she said “it’s never to late to start and you’re here now” which made me feel like I was doing what I needed to do, instead of so embarrassed that death was a better option. Please give them a call if you’re in pain or embarrassed because they will take care of you.

Inner City Dental is the only place I know of in the metro area that helps folks that don't have insurance. The employees seem to generally care about my dental health, and I'm so thankful they exist.

My first visit was for an exam and a cleaning by my daughter-in-law, Amy. She did a fantastic job, and I enjoyed meeting Dr. Leong, who will be removing and replacing a filling in about a month. I appreciated the care of the entire staff, from the time I walked in until I left after my visit. This office puts health and safety of patients and staff at the forefront. Thank you!

I have to be honest here. I have not been a person who took care of my health, physically, mentally and this includes my teeth and mouth. I wasn't taught as a kid how to do any of it, so into my adult life, I continued not to do so. plus add to all that my embarrassment and shame I felt, my anxiety disorder and lack of income, how could I even approach such a scary task of going to see a dentist? So as you can imagine, when I hit 40 my teeth were painful and unhealthy. I found Inner City after much research and for over a year now, I have been going consistently ( except during 1st wave of covid-19) once a month for cleaning ( once every 3 months) cavity fillings, and yes, a couple of teeth being pulled. My mouth was a mess. But today, I went in for another cleaning and the dental hygienist said my teeth and gums are looking better and better! Nearly all the staff are women, except maybe a male Doctor or dental assistant that volunteers their time. Because of this, they all just seem like they have a softer touch, both in my mouth in my heart. I've never felt judged or looked down on. Not because of my lack of income, or my lack of taking care of myself. They all have taught me how to take care of my teeth and gums better, and I have cried from gratitude and for their kindness, education, and treatment. Also I have to say Dr Leung is the best and greatest dentist I have ever seen, but the other Dr I have seen might be equally as good and kind, but if I could Dr Leung would be the only dentist to drill in my mouth if I had a choice! Thank you Inner City for being there for all of us!

The staff do a great job of making sure I am not unnecessarily uncomfortable. They communicate about what to expect. In my experience, they run on time. I have never had a problem or complication with any cleanings or fillings, in several years of care here.

Everyone here is very friendly the girls in the front are really nice ...I also gotta day Dr. Stephanie is one of the greatest Doc. She’s very nice always focus on your consern really dose her job she’s such a great doc. She makes you feel comfortable makes sure she has everything done that you need very great doc. After a long search and battles with the corporate dental world, I have found a very affordable and (surprisingly) great service dental office for my parents! My mom broke her tooth off crunchy directly onto a pork chop bone and needed dental work ASAP. We visited several (4) dental offices around the metro area, some were treating my elderly mom horribly, some wanted to offer a prescription without treatment right away, and all wanted to sell some outrageous package for my mom to fix her one tooth. Miraculously, we stumbled upon ICH dental, where they were able to take my mom in ($60 emergency fee), then set her up with a dental plan by her income. She has had four visits at this location for various work and has not been disappointed by their services. In addition to that, ICH is about preventative care for long-term, and not for-profit, where they'll just patch things as they go and charge an arm and leg for each service. Heads up, there's a huge wait for appointments, so don't be disappointed by that, they have great dentists and staff here.

Inner City Health Center is the go to place for my 85 year old mom. She does not like going to doctors but is very cooperative with the physicians here. Unfortunately, Dr. Fairbairn retired and I recommend Dr. Bolthouse, who turned out to be a lovely replacement for her. The entire staff is professional and supportive in a clean, friendly environment.
