Our loved one spent over three months at Select. During this time he experienced appropriate care and health issues were addressed appropriately. There were a few times that timing seemed far too slow but I know everyone gets busy at times. For the most part the nurses did a good job of introducing themselves and bringing you up to date on issues within the past twenty-four hours. It would have been nice for all nurses to follow that format. Care by the doctors was good but, again, there were times that it seemed it could have moved faster. If things were done in a more timely manner maybe the total visit could have been shortened? If you wanted to be kept totally up to date, you have to ask questions. Daily phone calls from the hospital with an update on vitals was helpful but could have contained more information. Again, be certain to ask plenty of questions and you'll get answers. A team meeting was held early in the stay with all therapists present. They did a good job of explaining things but it would have been helpful to have future meetings to continue keeping you updated with a lengthy stay. Overall, we were pleased with the care received at Select.

My sister was admitted to this facility and received outstanding care by the providers, nurses, rehab, and respiratory staff. Our family is very appreciative of the care our sister received. We would like to especially recognize her nurse Kim who call us with updates each morning. This provided us with comfort that she was being well cared for. Leandra was also wonderful. She assisted in giving us options and in making arrangements for discharge planning.

Kim Robertson is definitely a great asset. She kept us informed with daily calls. Listened to our concerns and always found us answers or had appropriate staff member call us back. She made my family member feel special. When he was upset she would come to his room to calm him down. She has a special ability to make everyone feel like they are important. All staff was excellent. Awesome wound care staff. Also Paul (nurses aide) and Beth (caseworker) did an excellent job. Highly recommend this facility.

Kim’s updates have been really great, keeps me informed everyday. Rich RN was an awesome guy, he was very caring and stayed in the room with my dad to watch over him very often, we appreciate everything he did. Therapy has been really good and worked with him really well, gave him lots of motivation. Doctor Hammer was awesome and kept us informed of everything going on, good or bad. I would definitely recommend this hospital, my dad was never ignored or neglected, he had the best care he could get.

My spouse stayed here several times while recovering from surgeries between Jan 2022 - Jun 2022. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the care received. Patients here are attended by physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, as well as physical and occupational therapists, daily. We felt that the vast majority of these individuals genuinely cared about helping patients. Throughout our several stays, there were only two exceptions. We informed the charge nurse of our concerns with those two staff members and those issues were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. Kim R. will also call daily to provide an update to your spouse/medical proxy. She was absolutely brilliant, sharing vital medical information related to your loved one's care, and she always asks if you have any questions for her, which was appreciated. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were also wonderful, as were the dieticians. About the only inconsistencies I can mention involve the food and having a room at the end of a hallway. Most of the time, the food was surprisingly EXCELLENT. Some periodic staffing issues in the kitchen sometimes meant that everyone in the hospital would get the same meal, regardless of what they ordered. Lastly, you may need to keep a close eye on your loved one if he/she gets a room furthest away from the nurse's station. Having said all of that, I absolutely recommend Select Specialty Hospital. They did a splendid job caring for my spouse and we are eternally grateful for their efforts.

I’m writing this review for my family. My mother has been in this facility for a little over a month. She has received good care. Jennifer was an amazing nurse and everyone on the Rehab floor has been amazing! Kim gave my dad daily updates but I will say that not all the information was accurate as when she has called once, we were in the room and the info we received was not accurate. But overall, the care has been good!

This entire facility at 1087 Dennison Ave has treated my mom so well. I enjoyed that Kim kept me updated everyday on my mom’s health from overnight sleep to any changes within the day about mom. I can’t say who I would like to thank because so many of the staff members were so attentive to mom & I thank you all. If you have love ones you truly care about, this is the place. I received amazing updates from Kim and many people on the hospital staff. My wife was here for respiratory help and Select had an excellent plan to care for her. I wish she was able to stay a little longer but insurance thought otherwise. Nevertheless, I would suggest to anyone who has a live one who will leave the hospital but require more care, come to Select.

After staying here for several weeks, I would like to say a big thank you to the staff that is absolutely amazing and took great care of me. I would have to say a special thank you to Armanda for her wonderful personality, kindness and attention. PT and OT were efficient, professional and on point. I appreciated that Kim kept my family updated of my progress and brought them relieve from worry. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone looking for long term care and recovery.

My Therapists were phenomenal… The staff …. Except a few people.. took excellent care of me.. The updates that Kim was giving my sister was 100% great…. I would recommend the hospital However the leadership team should be more involved when there is complaint with a patient…
