I have been using Dr. William Maclean for several years and he is beyond a doubt, the best cardiologist I have ever used.
He is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring and cares more about his patients than any doctor I know. He always spends at least 15-20 minutes with me during each visit and always answers all my questions. He also is a true gentleman and always treats you with respect.

My visit with Dr. Morales was one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had. He took all the time necessary to listen and answer questions and gave me a great sense of confidence. His manner was perfect.

The best cardiology practice in the Birmingham area. Communication via patient portal works very well. Staff are friendly and courteous. All of the physicians and mid level providers are knowledgeable in what they do. The office is able to accommodate patients for tests such as an echo or stress test. There are physicians within the practice who specialize in electrophysiology, as well as other cardiac related therapies/treatment. All around a great practice. Parking is also a perk. You have to pay, however parking is convenient.

Dr Jimmie Dotson was/is my son and daughters cardiologist. My son had a heart attack about 5 years ago. Had 2 stents put in and has been doing great ever since.
My daughter is also using Dr
Dotson and is very satisfied.
He is so attentive and compassionate. Takes time and listens to you, recommend Dr Dotson highly!!

My husband was taken on time which is typical of this office.
Dr. Jones spent time reviewing his records, asking and answering questions, checking his heart, making some adjustments for his medicine.
A thorough checkup and very appreciated visit.

This is the easiest to access and best cardiovascular group I have visited in a few years. So pleased with the staff, excellent explanations and care given me, and thankful for access to the local office. Dr Dotson is the best.!

Dr Sasse was my Cardiologist at UAB. After he left, I wasn’t pleased with my quality of care there anymore and decided to seek a second opinion. So, while knowing Dr Sasse had started his practice at Grandview, I transitioned my records there and made an appointment. Everything went smoothly on the part of Dr Sasse and his office and staff…a superior group! Further — Dr Sasse did not disappoint. I felt delightfully comfortable with his overall care and especially with the knowledge he provided me, and he is going to do additional testing to ensure my heart is healthy. He could not give me an exact cause for my tachycardia at this time (nor would I want him to blindly give answers), but he believes he knows the reason and is doing the testing to find out the root cause. This is the typical procedure of a great physician: intake of all symptoms while listening to concerns; hypothesize; test; formulate solid answers based on results, patient info and personal expertise and perhaps secondary advice in various forms/other resources (research or another professional/specialist); provide resolution, if at all possible! Unfortunately, at UAB, my cardiologist was extremely dismissive when evidence indicated there was a definitive problem. Saying that, I am glad that I chose to see Dr Sasse for a second opinion because although I do not have all of the answers yet, I do at least have a new medication to help my problem while Dr Sasse investigates. He prescribed it during my first visit, and he said it should get the tachycardia under control regardless of why I’m having the issue. So, I am beyond pleased with Dr Sasse. I hope to find more answers on my return visit and plan on seeing Dr Sasse as my cardiologist going forward now! Last note, his nurse was excellent as well as was the receptionist who set up the follow-up appointments for both my office visit and tests. She was super-friendly and helpful. She also ensured the dates worked well with my schedule versus just setting it up and letting me deal with rescheduling due to conflicts. She streamlined everything also, making it less intrusive to my schedule. All with a beautiful smile and very personable attitude…. Labs were onsite, and it was a brief wait, which was also very nice. Just a wonderful experience, especially for a doctor’s office…which really is one of the last places you want to spend your time. But, I’m blessed to have insurance to afford seeing a doctor when needed, Dr Sasse accepts my insurance, I received great quality care, and the entire ‘event’ was productive and truly was rewarding in its own way! Thank you to Dr Sasse and your team!!

Dr. Jimmie Dotson is one of the most patient friendly doctors I have ever met. I believe anyone would be pleased to have him as their cardiologist.
