Drive towards the back end of the JBER Hospital as listed on google. You’ll past the Fisher House and what looks like a heliopad. Just follow the signs after and you’re golden. One of our TDY airmen got bite as he went on a hike. We came to the ER and was seen and treated. Total time was about 40 minutes. Thankfully his bite was superficial and he didn’t need any shots! Just a cleaning. DISCLAIMER: If you’re a pet owner & your pet should be on a leash place them on a leash. Not trying to belittle anyone but come on—where is the common sense! You could/should be sued for being a negligent individual as you do not know how your pet will interact with anyone.

To be honest I have never had an issue with anyone at this hospital and actually pay the $50.00 a month to Tricare for my family to receive care here. I receive my care from the VA clinic free of charge but kept my medical coverage for my family and because dealing with doctors off post and the insurance process was a pain. Anytime my son has needed a physical for sports they have gone above and beyond to help us out. I appreciate the service this hospital provides so it gets 5 stars based on my experiences here.

Erin in L&D was beyond a doubt the best person in the hospital to take care of my wife as we welcomed our daughter into our family. I'd jokingly give her a two star as an inside joke, but she and the entire L&D and postpartum ward were amazing. Can't thank them all enough!

I have had nothing but outstanding care following a traumatic injury 2 days before Christmas 2021. The ER department, orthopedic department and the Wound Care clinic have all provided exceptional care. I was previously often not satisfied with the care I received, but that is definitely not the case now.

The Doctors, Nurses and Staff in the MSU are outstanding. My wife was admitted on the 27th. We couldn't be happier with her care. A "Well Done" to all!!!

Infusion is the best place on the second floor…I love how the nurses do their job by taking care of us patients there. They are so nice and welcoming✊☺️. I always get excited to be there on my appointments.

This place saved my life. I had a “silent heart attack” which also was so severe that it’s called the widow maker heart attack. I felt something was wrong because my heart would beat erratically at the gym. Spoke with my VA Primary Care Physician and requested an EKG to see what was wrong. After arguing and disagreeing for 6 months, I just went to the base ER. I thought the attending Physician was going to have have a heart attack himself! He was wonderful! Within two weeks, Dr Shaw in Cardiology had me set up for a quintuple bypass (though I ended up only needing double bypass) and was well on my way to recovery. It’s been three years, my heart is in fantastic shape. If I had not gone to the base ER, I WOULD NOT BE ALIVE TODAY! Thank you all for an outstanding job. As a side note, I contacted the Hospital CO and relayed my experience and asked that the doctors involved be given, at the very least, a meritorious letter - I don’t know if they were. I did however, bring the ER Doctor, my Cardiologist, and my Thoracic Surgeon each a an expensive bottle of single malt scotch. I think they more than earned it!

I couldn’t be more pleased with my care at this hospital. While there are the expected quirks of a military hospital as they’re trying to provide care for as many people possible, I truly couldn’t be happier. I had to schedule an urgent appointment at Family health and they got me right in that day. I was seen at Women’s Health through my pregnancy and was invited to attend a centering group for the remainder of my appointments. These involved 10 two-hour long appointments that consisted of one on one time with our doctor AND at least an hour or more of educational learning and training with other women due around the same time as myself. They prepared me for labor and delivery and motherhood. I went to Labor and Delivery on two occasions: once for decreased fetal movement and the other for my actual delivery. My providers and caretakers were all phenomenal and took very good care of me and my baby. This really is a great facility and I’m very pleased with my care.

I trust this hospital more than any other hospital in Anchorage. They always take great care of me, they manage to keep things moving along. I got my blood drawn twice there and they did 3 people at a time and I was in then out real quick. They get my medication orders right every time, they gave me proper treatment for the plantar warts I used to have and have sent me to a dermatologist that does a great deal of help to me. Thank you JBER hospital for everything 😁 Edit: I just realized that my review said UBER but it must have been auto corrected.

We have always had a great experience here. The ER staff was awesome in attending to my daughter who needed stitches as well as the sicknesses we went to the ER for on weekends. Their Teddy watch is always very nice and my kids love going there for an hour if I have an appointment. The lab doesn't usually have too long of a wait and they are all nice and good at their job. Physical therapy and women's health have always went above and beyond. Definitely feel comfortable coming here!

Giving only 3 instead of 5 because of Radiology front desk. All the other offices are great and have amazing service. I have to say radiology has some crusty people working their front desk. Hardly answer the phone. Almost never call back after a message has been left multiple times, and the one time I did get a call back the man was rude and short tempered. He had a bad connection and was frustrated with me for needing to repeat himself and eventually hung up on me. I could hear the phone slam down on the receiver. In person they are just as nasty. Reluctant to make appointments and treat you like you're an idiot when you ask them questions. The technicians were nice and accommodating. They are excluded from the front desk experience.

I have almost always received excellent professional care here. But right now I am a bit disgusted with the behavior of the plain clothed gentleman at the front desk. I watched him for 20 minutes eating with his hands, licking his fingers and then proceeded to pick his teeth, all while greeting customers.

My son was born here, and we couldn’t have had a better team of professionals, from the doctors and nurses to the lactation consultant. My wife and I were very far from our families, so we really appreciated all the help from the amazing staff. Even the food was great.

Stayed there for a couple nights. Free food, TV, and lodging. All it cost me was my appendix. (Turns out it doesn't do much good anyway ) Pretty good deal to me. 10/10 would recommend

I spent two years (1965-67) working on the 7th floor at the hospital that was severely damaged (and repaired) by the big earthquake. Tried to locate the area where it was situated on the recent picture posted. Anyone have an idea where it might have been located?

I give this hospital five stars because this is the hospital where I was born on January 20th 1988 at 1 in the afternoon thank you to everybody who helped give birth to me and I think the hospital I wish I can come back and visit y'all sometime
