Okay, had an LAD heart attack. Got the old stent in there and feel great. The best part of my two night stay was my night nurse in the cardiac unit on the fifth floor, Summer. Not only was she totally professional, but very caring and attentive. But best off all, when she made her nightly rounds she never woke me up!!! I've not slept that well in over 20 years. All the staff, top to bottom, are great, but sleeping was the best part and Summer made sure I was able to do so. Thanks again, my family and I owe you!!! -e-

I ended up needing a cardiac bypass operation and had it done at Holy Cross because that's where my cardiologist is based. I cannot begin to praise this facility enough. Every single staff member was amazing and compassionate. The care was extraordinary. The doctors, nurses and all of the rest of the staff were simply world class. I don't know what kind of customer service training this facility does but it should be a model for every medical facility. I simply cannot recommend this hospital enough.

I was in as an outpatient surgery for. Bladder repair. From the moment I entered the facility until the moment I left I was treated with warmth and caring and respect. My doctor, Dr. Willie Davila was incredibly wonderful. First as a human being and as secondly as a top flight eurogyno surgeon. His support staff is incredibly awesome both in the offices and in the hospital. The preop to the postop was handled perfectly. Support staff. PCT’s Nursing staff were beyond awesome. Can’t say enough about the warm fuzzies. The outcome has been terrific. Thank you all for the superb care.

I was seen at Holy Cross in the ER on one of the worst days of my life. I was quickly brought back to a room and assessed by triage and a PA student. PA Brian was my primary provider along with nurse Gracie. They were amazing. They were compassionate and sensitive to me. They provided me with necessary medication quickly and explored all necessary treatment options. Radiology tech Melanie was very kind and compassionate. They did everything they could for me, and Brian took his time coming back to see me several times to explain everything to me. I can’t thank the care team enough for the compassion they showed me.

The doctors at Holy Cross have been great for myself and my family. I am very happy to have such wonderful doctors. The administrative set up at the hospital is severely lacking. There is always a huge wait to make a doctors appointment. It is ridiculous to regularly need to wait over a half an hour or more just to simply schedule an appointment.

Excellent staff here on all ends from security to physicians assistants! I felt extremely cared for even though I just had a cut on my ankle that required stitches. One of the doctors was even nice enough to bring me a sandwich! This is my go to hospital now.

I just saw Dr Fingado for the second time and he’s the best orthopedic I’ve ever had!! He’s very patient in his explanations and in answering all of my concerns. When he did give me an injection for my tennis elbow, I could hardly feel it. That in itself is a rarity. The first time I saw him2 years ago was for arthritis in my thumb. He gave me some great advice on how to keep it at bay and they worked!! I still haven’t needed an injection in my thumb since taking his suggestions. I highly recommend him to everyone!!

I was recently admitted through the emergency department for a cardiac event and the staff from the moment I entered,through my stay in the cvicu was superb. I was taken to the cath lab for a Stent to be placed and all the staff were top shelf and caring. The nursing staff went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible., besides their excellent nursing care. If I should need cardiac care again I will go there in a minute.

This hospital has allot of potential. Unfortunately i watched the weekend shift into the weekday shift and noticed the difference of care immediately. Family and friends need to be aware of their loved ones at times , but with patience while holding your words under your breath as they are and will be caring for the patients when no one's around. Thanks to nurses like Arianna and care attendants like Aya i was able to feel better about holy cross hospital and the magic of Care they provided.

I just visited the emergency room at Holy Cross Hospital. My girlfriend had a bout of "Virtigo" not knowing what was wrong at first... Possible stroke was my worry. After an Outstanding staff response to her care, I was relieved to know it was a problem she has had in the past. I can't say enough about how fast they handle it. Dr. Wang replaced my knee at Holy Cross Hospital. Great experience so far. Staff is busy but attentive. Friendly, courtesy and out going. I have a double room but no one is there. Great WiFi. TV not so much. Excellent food so far. Update: Just had ankle replacement surgery by Dr. Robert Mills. Went great so far. I love this hospital. Update 3-6-2010 I've now had a knee replacement, ankle replacement and cardiac catheterization at Holy Cross. I have had nothing but a great experience. The people are the difference. Great people. In a few days I will be getting having a triple bypass there. I'll let you know how it goes.

Love this hospital. The nurses and staff have a built in sense of care and genuine love for what they do. The cafeteria food can be hit or miss. Some days the menu can be a real surprise, like this huge chocolate chip cookie they baked today. Edit: They are baking these cookies more often and they are always delicious and thick! Also I added some new photos of the cafeteria food and desserts with more to come because the menu does vary from day to day.

I’m so sad that the labor and delivery department has been permanently closed. I had the most awesome experience when I delivered my baby back in October 2021. The nurses and the doctors, the entire team was amazing. They put my mind at ease from the beginning and my delivery process went smoothly. The nurses in the NICU were awesome; Sandra, Loren, Natalie just to name a few, they took such great care of my baby and myself. World class treatment. I was able to ask any questions and was spoken to with outmost respect. I just want to say I appreciate you all for all that you have done. I truly appreciate the hospitality rendered.

I recently went into the Holy Cross emergency room. I’m from out of town and googled best rated hospitals in Fort Lauderdale and found Holy Cross. I must say that the staff, nurses, and doctors provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend Holy Cross.

I have been to hospitals globally and I think Holy Cross is just an amazing hospital. The level of staff interaction was on par with the Ritz Carlton. More importantly, the medical team went above and beyond, reaching out to me, if necessary, to ensure the best care was provided for my mother. I felt very comfortable and reassured throughout my mom’s stay. The staff were great, answering any questions I had and took good care of my mother at each stage. I had three hospitalization this year,A total of 12 nights in the hospital.I had many tests performed and and I had many contacts with the staff.All were professional ,friendly caring and upbeat. On 4.12.22 I walked into the Holy Cross ER seeking help with a recurring and painful abdominal issue. Within ten minutes I was processed into the hospital system and assigned to an exam room. Another twenty minutes passed and the ER team had started the process to both relieve my pain and find the cause of the pain. The ER doc's desire to further investigate my pain and cause of that pain paid dividends immediately, as that investigation revealed I was on the edge of a possibly life altering situation. I spent the next four days in the hospital under supervised care. Numerous Holy Cross doctors, nurses and support staff worked around the clock to ensure my condition did not worsen and my stay was as pleasant as possible. As a result of the steller care I received in the Holy Cross Health System between the dates of 04.12.22 and 04.15.22 I'm back to near full strength. I will, in a few weeks return to Holy Cross Health, to undergo the required corrective surgical procedure to permanently repair my faulty internal parts. My most recent visit to Holy Cross Health was a true 5 star experience.

Best and most trusted hospital I have ever been to! The staff is always extremely friendly and keep their cool in any situation. You always see the housekeeping staff cleaning constantly making sure everything is dissected and in order for the next patient! The nurses, doctors, techs, and The rest of the staff are just amazing! So glad to have this amazing facility in my town.

Woke up feeling horrible and went to Holy Cross ER. Had an absolutely amazing experience. Wish I knew the name of all of the staff that treated me because they were great. Even the girls at the front who took my vitals while I was waiting for a room. According to my paperwork, I was treated by Nurse JL, PA Jake Boyd, and Physician Shaikh Taha. Incredible customer service, kindness, compassion, and great bedside manner. I was in and out relatively fast with all of my tests taken care of / results in a timely manner. These people BELONG in the medical field. They truly know how to treat a patient. MY ONE COMPLAINT: The Hospital NEEDS to hire a different security service. The security guards that checked me in were rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t believe how rude they were while I was in such bad shape. Horrible! Luckily the medical staff put a huge smile on my face despite how I was feeling!

Mimi from Dr. Mario Hernandez’s( adult Gallagher) office treated me with great patient care! I haven’t always had a good experience with PCP offices, but she was nothing short of amazing and worked with me to be seen promptly. Thank you Mimi, you rock!!!

Dr. Raul Gosthe, MD and his team took tremendous care of me prior, durning, and after my double hip surgery in February 2022. The recovery was quicker than expected due to the knowledge and experience of Dr. Gosthe and his team. My life came to a stand still as I was dealing with server double hip arthritis. I went to numerous physicians and never received honest and professional advise as I did from Dr. Gosthe. I am now feeling as if not only I have my life again but I have also added years. I especial am grateful to a team member, Ali, that gave such extra attention to my needs and for that I am grateful.

Being in the hospital is never fun but after a stroke I had a 2 month stay where I was treated like a person and not a patient. The nurses in the IRU were the bestZCharmaine runs a great group of nurses that shows patients great care. My favorites were Sophia, Fellicia, Renata and Marcia. The physical therapy team was great also Mathew. Stevie and Grace made my transition to home easier with all the hard work and everything they taught me in Physical therapy daily. My only displeasure is how much time it takes for Social worker to respond to metand ro ake care of providing very information when needed

From the ER through a 5 day stay, almost everyone was pleasant and as helpful as possible. The fifth star is missing, only because the staff Drs would not take the advice of the Primary in AZ. In this case, Dr Cunningham (Primary)is intimately familiar with my significant other and all her medical conditions. Had her advice been followed, IMO, 5 day stay could have been 3, with a better end result. Unfortunately, we have visited all the local hospitals in the last few years. Holy Cross is a beacon of light, making the others, mere flickering candles.

My name is Gredelio P Chillon I have been a patient of Holy Cross Hospital for over 13 years and how it has changed in these years but for worse, costumer service and billing department. Billing department sent me to " Complete Collection Service " I never received a notification of that bill letter or anything related with this and why are charging me the money for the excellent Dr. Abhijit Basu, MD Evaluation and management visit to explain and justifying it. What is the CPT codes for that visit ?. Do not contact the billing department because I do not want to hear justifications or apologies. The damage is done!.

My mom spent 3 weeks here and then I was there for a miscarriage last night. I have always had stellar care at Holy Cross. Staff were always patient and kind. My doctor provided me with 3 options and took my pref8into consideration. They listed when I said my pain had increased. They were compassionate and had great bedside manner. When my.mom was here they handle her beautifully. She has dementia and can get aggressive if very confused. They were amazing.

Having said that, I would love to see improvements to their customer service. At times, it's been extremely difficult to get someone on the phone who can help me with my inquiries.

The emergency room staff and doctors at Holy Cross Health were wonderful. From the young ladies at the registration desk to the doctors and nurses and others who cared for me, each and every one of the staff were kind, understanding, and professional. I would recommend that anyone who needs emergency care use the services of Holy Cross Health. It is not often that you find a group of people who are under great pressure that still take the time to listen and show that they care about you as a person, not just another number on their list of things to do.

Hip Joint Replacement I got a new hip joint yesterday. My surgeon was Dr. Burke. One day later Dr. Burke, I just feel great, kind of nothing happens. I admit, that's a little bold to say that. I just wanted to point out that this entire procedure went by so smooth and relaxed. I want to thank you all the friendly and attentive staff in preparations. Anesthesia put me softly to sleep and when I woke up, I had a new hip. I was pulling the blanket to see if it's true, because I didn't feel a thing. Then again so friendly staff in recovery. Special thanks to nurse Marie. I never met a nurse so caring, I almost gave her a kiss for her lovely and caring personality. Now, one day after I feel just great, even it was a major surgery. So very well done Dr. Burke. Thank you

On March 3rd, 2022. I was admitted in the Emergency room to receive care. Hours later, I was released and I ushered into the security room and the nurse had me sit inside. The little Guard on duty harrassed me and got toe to toe and he threatened me. He needs training and firing. He's also racist. Haitian tiny security guard...this happened on March 3rd around 4:30. That's why I gave a 2 star....just because this "chip on his shoulder" security guard. Fire him please!

Not all nurses are heroes. Let's just get a reality check on that. Especially when it comes to being a charge nurse and you are setting the tone and example for those under your charge. You may not like having to deal with a particular patient and their issues, but when their family member calls in and hears you snicker on the other end of the phone? The higher up in the hierarchy you become, the more of a servant you become. Stay humble.

I had surgery yesterday and the Staff at Holy Cross Hospital was amazing!!😊 The attitudes and bedside manner of everyone was great. I went in today for my asthma/anxiety issues. I was admitted through the ER in a timely manor and put into my own room. The doctors who spoke to me we’re were super kind and pragmatic. The EKG tech was very professional as well. It was a good experience and I appreciate the efficiently. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the security woman was rude, the intake nurse was a bit crash but still respectful... and the bathrooms were really dirty and covered in urine. Besides that the service was great. I’m grateful! Thanks to all.

I came in and everything was clean and organized even with intercom messages of a stroke code and another code red and you still could feel calm and that everything was under control. Everyone that I encountered was very pleasant and personable. Nobody seemed too tired to deal with you or make you feel like a number. They didn’t even ask for insurance or payment information until discharge they just wanted to help you first. Emergency room was quite nice. I would definitely recommend.

This is the first time I have called, make appointments and seen doctors at Holy Cross and I’m really impressed with the Caring, Cordial, and Professionalism that Everyone at Holy Cross have shown...from the customer service to the doctors. It’s nice and refreshing to come to an organized place where everyone is working together and 100% for the patients. This grade of 3 is a blended score based on the following: Convenience - 5 Professionalism - 3.50 Billing and Invoices - 0 I had a health event and was admitted to the ER. The ER was a slow painful experience. ER doctors spoke to me like I was a child and yelled at me. I did realize that I was having a serious event and understood the importance. I was admitted. Treatment for the most part was okay. Most of the staff in the cardiac floor were compassionate. Some needed to find another job (but that is in every industry). They get 3.5 Stars. The Heart Clinic is the BEST! I give them 5 stars! They offer physical rehab, testing and training. When doctors and PAs in the Cardiology department do not return voicemails, which is often, Heart Failure Clinic staff helped me get my prescriptions to the pharmacy. Cardiology - A Half Star - My cardiologists PA NEVER returns voicemails for refills. The PA gets 0 stars. The receptionist changed my insurance, so I could not be seen. It took five calls and three weeks to get my after discharge appointment. My issue with Holy Cross is the billing department. Billing gets negative stars! The hospital, their in- hospital physicians, and Doctors and ER all bill separately. The billing centers are also in different states. When I was admitted, Holy Cross stated they could not confirm coverage. They were aggressive in trying to make me sign a payment arrangement. After I discharged, I confirmed my insurance was active, sent it to the hospital and began forwarding evidence of insurance to the different billing centers. It is three months later and Holy Cross Billing line still sends an automated voicemail asking me to make a payment arrangement. Meanwhile, my insurance carrier keeps sending EOB letters stating Holy Cross needs to send medical records. My bills are not being paid. I appreciate the convenience of Holy Cross Hospital to my home and Holy Cross Health offices. For the most part their doctors are compassionate and perform their duties with care. Especially Dr. Daniel Gomez and Dr. Shephaldi Malhotra - They listen to me and I appreciate them. Billing needs to get their act together.

I was able to schedule my CAT scan and MRI on the same day within one week of my request. They were fantastic, I was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. My first exam was at 5 pm and both exams were completed and I left the hospital by 6:30 pm. It was an outstanding experience. The hospital is clean and laid out very well so it was easy to find the Imaging Department. But the staff really made the difference. Sharon at the front entrance was kind and understanding. Herson in registration was patient and helpful. Chris in CAT scan was caring and made me feel important. And Brooke in MRI was compassionate and let me know that Holy Cross Hospital felt privileged that I chose to have my imaging tests done there. I was anxious when I arrived but thanks to the staff I felt calm and reassured when I left. Thank you.

Even though I did not have to stay the night after my surgery, from the time I was checked in until I left, the care I was given was excellent. It all started at the main entrance. Very kind and helpful. The nursing staff made me fill a little relaxed. Let's faced it, I do not like needles and I get very nervous when I have surgery, but seeing how the staff was taking care of me, and saw to my needs with a smile, I was able to relax. Staff was friendly and I made me feel 100% comfortable. It was my first time ever having surgery in my life and it was an amazing experience! Everything went smoothly and everyone had a smile on their face. They made me feel like part of the Holy across family. I was there 18 years ago to give birth to my daughter and the hospitality was wonderful then and once again exceeded my expectations now! It was nice to pal around with staff before and after surgery. I didn’t feel nervous and I felt like I belonged there. Excellent facility. Very clean and smelled fresh. With the exception of 2 staff members (nurses?), the other staff members were extraordinary. My surgeon's team, including the anesthesiologist, Opal, was excellent as was my surgeon, Dr. Robert Mills. The post-op nurse, Paulette, was the sweetest nurse ever. So comforting and reassuring. And Roslyn, whose last day was this day, as she was ready to embark on her retirement after 25 years, waited patiently with me as I waited for forever for my ride and until her replacement (to wait with me, as they would not leave me alone), as she was supposed to be attending her retirement party (several attendees, including her parents arrived as we were both waiting) is a wonderfully kind and warm hearted individual. I am sure Holy Cross Hospital will miss her greatly. No matter the type of surgery, it can always be challenging. But here at Holy Cross Hospital, they make the experience for their patients as pleasant as possible. From the moment they welcome you up to the moment they say goodbye, they truly make you feel welcomed.

It was a bit of wait before nurses came over to begin their assessment once assigned a bed, understandably it was a bit busy. Chad -nurse was awesome. Triage nurse was very polite and speedy. Did not care to hear employees conversation at the nurses station, don’t need to know who possibly was fired, also need to watch the choice words. Registrar at reception desk could have been more customer friendly. Registrar which registered me was quite hasty, yet polite. Overall, not bad experience.

We had the best second childbirth at Holy Cross! The nurses on staff - specifically Linda, Julie and Melita were AMAZING and made the experience wonderful. The Lactation specialists are truly amazing and patient and made it possible for me to comfortably breastfeed our daughter. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We also visited earlier this year after an accident and needed monitoring in L&D - Cassandra in labor and delivery was amazing! Made me feel comfortable and safe in a scary situation. I just had my second total knee replacement.Dr. Martin Roche did the surgery.I was back on the Tennis Court in 5 weeks. Dr. Roche's staff are extremely proficient.This man does amazing work.The hospital was spectacular. I highly reccomend Holy Cross Hospital. I did my physical therapy with Holy Cross. I had been through 6 other physical therapists until I got to Stanley Gutierrez. The others were good but, this guy is great. He challenges you to push yourself to do your best. The really neat thing about Stan is that he gives you specific not generic exercises for the sports that you participate in to make you better. I firmly believe that he is a major factor of my quick recovery.

I came into the emergency room and was taken right in. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The exam rooom was impeccably clean and the Nurse was friendly and very welcoming. I was asked to undress and put a gown. My vitals were taken and asked a few question regarding why I was there. I was told the Dr. Would be in to see me in a few minutes. It was less than that when I was greeted by Dr. Sachedina. She was caring and took great time listening to my concerns and the part I liked best was she offered options for my treatment and together we decided on the way to move forward. Dr. Sachedina maintained eye contact with me at all times remaining compassionate understanding and very interested in getting a care plan in order. She provided me with an immediate course of action verbal and written and explained if I had any issues to be sure to reach out to her at anytime. I have been referred to my PCP and a specialist for follow up. The overall experience was about 1.5 hours. Amazing. I would only choose Holy Cross Hospital.

I drove myself to the Emergency Room early Thursday morning, March 4th. After checking in the emergency staff did a great job making sure I was comfortable and see what the issue was. I was admitted and taken my room... my stay there was for a day znd a half being discharged on Friday st 7pm. Staff at Hospital were professional, courteous, friendly and kept me informed. I am a nurse from Miami and I took my Dad into the ER for chronic diarrhea, the place is clean, pleasant staff, and competent . He was admitted for further testing, and the nurses are pleasant, doctors are competent, the room and bathrooms are clean, hospital food is quite decent, cafeteria makes omelette and sandwiches to order. Security checks everyone in with photo ID, the only negative is parking. It’s not enough for the size of the hospital but there is complimentary valet. Overall, I am very pleased with my first experience here

Tuesday August 2, 2016 Due to my primary care physician not being able to see me and the horrible service I had received at MD Now, I was in need of an Emergency Room visit. I chose to go to Holy Cross E.R. Right from the start, every person I dealt with was courteous and helpful. Ashley from admissions was sweet and made me feel I was indeed in good hands. My Doctor Brandon Laza was outstanding. Very personable, caring and attentive. He kept me well informed and made me feel at ease. He was able to diagnose my problems that MD Now hadn't. He is an absolute angel. My nurse was Jarad. Again, another extraordinary caregiver. He was kind and caring, always there for my needs. Although I am sure they're all wonderful, in my opinion... the best RN there! I feel so fortunate to have had these 2 wonderful guys take care of me. Stefano was my lab person and put in my IV. He too, was kind and very skilled. I didn't even feel the pinch he warned me about. Even the lovely housekeeper, she was so sweet. She brought me a warmed blanket when she noticed I was chilled. Went in for same day surgery and I was impressed. The pre and post op Nurses were amazing with their warmth, kindness and patience. The Nurse Anesthetist who attended me, Leslie, is a special human being. She didn’t just ask questions and leave. I told her I was a bit nervous and her words to me were “Relax, you are in my hands. I recently spent three nights at Holy Cross Hospital. I received incredible care by everyone I encountered. The Emergency Department doctors were reassuring and gave me all the time I needed. Floor nurses and techs were kind, empathetic, organized, and very patient. The nursing floor supervisors were supportive and proactive. Every doctor I encountered explained my condition clearly and detailed a plan of action. The support staff such as phlebotomists, imaginging techs, custodians and food service personnel could not have been more attentive and pleasant. My discharge plan was was detailed and concise, and doable. My nurse made that sure I understood it clearly before going home. If I were reading this review I would be skeptical about it's validity as it sounds to good to be true. BUT that was my real experience and I am forever grateful to the staff and management at H.C. Hospital. It seems that they have worked really hard to be patient centric. They have a slogan on many of their posters, it says "BeRemarksble". When I first read it, I thought it was just another marketing ploy. But it wasn't, and they are!

I highly recommend Holy Cross Hospital Out Patient for having any blood tests or X-Rays your Doctor orders. In the past, I have used other facilities to have blood drawn for lab work. Even after scheduling an appointment ahead of time, I’ve waited up to an hour. I explained my frustrations with my Doctor. She told me, I could have my blood drawn at Holy Cross Out Patient. I decided to give it a try. My experience at the Out Patient part of Holy Cross have been above what I expected. The Out Patient Coordinators and Medical Staff have been the best. My sister and I had to take my mother to the emergency room at Holy Cross Hospital yesterday and were so impressed with the service that was provided. Going to an emergency room you dread the wait but there was none and we were taken right into a room and a doctor was with us within 10 minutes. Thought Cleveland Clinic in Weston was the best, but, Cleveland Clinic was horrible, rude, the care was poor, staff didn't care, either, and they were in a rush to shuffle me out, lied to me, and I wound up going to Holy Cross in worse shape, 2-months later, because Cleve Clinic told me I would get better. Could have been life threatening. Holy Cross Emergency is the best and I have been there for inpatient and outpatient. Wonderful people who care. When I was told,that I needed to have surgery done , I was a little apprehensive. I didn’t know anything about Holly Cross hospital and I didn’t know what to expect. But for my surprise, I’ve never been so well taken care of. By the second I got there, I was treated like a VIP . Everyone was so polite and warm. They had a hole team around me, assuring me that everything was going to be ok , they told me step by step what was happening and that made a lot of difference to me. After I went to the surgery room, with the best doctor in what he does Dr. Michael Perez , they took care of my wife, making sure she knew exactly what was happening to me at all time. I recently went to the Er because i had fallen getting out of the shower and split open my head. The wait was about 5 minutes and when Dr examined She wanted to put staples in my head i refused since i suffer from migraines so she stitched closed the wound using my own hair. I was in the ER at Holy Cross Hospital on 3/5/20. I had severe stomach and bowel pain. They took care of me in short time and after blood tests and a CT scan I was diagnosed quickly. I have been to this ER in the past and each time I’ve received excellent care. They are caring and the doctors and nurses are the best. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. if you need treatment of any kind, I would make sure my doctor is on staff here.

This is now my “to go to” hospital. I swear to God I felt like I was in good hands. Absolutely no worries. Everyone that worked their shift that night were very caring and made sure I was alright. They did a ct scan on my abdominal area and found something wrong. They immediately ran a ultrasound to get a closer look and just made sure they didn’t make a mistake. Everything came back good. Doctor T is an awesome doctor along with his nurses. He explained everything in a way that you can understand. Thank you, doctor T! Also the next day I get a call from one of the nurses. (I think she was a nurse) Her name is Willow. She called to follow up with me and asked if everything was ok with me. She said if I have any problems to call her, even if it’s months from now, that she’d do her best to help. That really warmed my heart to know that there’s still people that care. Choose this hospital. You won’t regret it.

I have had 2 orthopedic surgeries here. The first was an inpatient stay for total hip replacement and the second a same-day surgery for a partial knee replacement by makoplasty. From preregistration to imaging to post-op recovery, nursing, and even dietary, the staff are all so friendly and genuinely care for their patients. There are many helpful volunteers as well. The hospital was very clean and they are well organized so that wait times are minimal. I had high quality care and recommend this hospital for anyone undergoing an orthopedic surgery.

I have been here with my mom who suffered a stroke one week ago. The staff are generally good and caring and the place is pretty well equipped, particularly the intensive rehab unit. I have a variety of observations/suggestions after being here with a 90-year-old woman. Much of it is to improve procedural processes. First, new patients and at least one family member should be orientated when the patient is admitted. The white boards are too small and crowded and require some explanation. Using a phone to call for assistance can be difficult for patients. Care staff should clearly identify themselves every time they talk to a patient. My understanding is that the social worker is the hub of the wheel and should be able to give a comprehensive report to families but that has not been our experience. Please be aware that both patient and family members are probably sleep deprived, disoriented and not at their best. Showing patience and being sure to explain things fully is key. And listen to family members. We can give you clues to the patients personality that may help you make wiser and more appropriate choices for this individual. There is a lot of good happening here but it is hidden by brisk and uncommunicative SOPs

Dr Manzi and his assistant are great at Rio Vista practice. Highly recommend him as a primary care. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time to explain everything about my medical issues or questions I may have. Never felt rushed or disrespected. Very friendly and makes you feel comfortable in his office. Same for his assistant I think Tammy. I wish I could tell the same thing for their front desk stuff. That's why they get 4 stars. Any Holy cross Medical group practice I've been to front desk is always the issue. They don't answer the phones for appointments. Rio vista never have the phone line open before 830 or later even though practice is opens at 8am! They're very rude with their attitude. When arrived for appointment front desk stuff doesn't greet or makes you feel welcomed. When checking out after visiting Dr. Manzi they act like we bothered them for being there. Shame for such a nice doctor to have to deal with terrible front desk stuff.

I went to the ER last night due to severe lower back pain, one of my legs was falling asleep and I had a tingling sensation on my buttocks. I was registered and taken in very fast, even though it was a full house. I was in so much pain tears where coming out of my eyes involuntarily, and I could barely stand or sit. Sophia one of the nurses noticed and came over to help me right away. Her genuine compassion and care made a huge difference on my treatment at such a tough moment. The Doctor was also very nice, and worked on helping me to lower my pain quickly, which was extremely appreciated. I haven't been on an ER in years but I do remember how dreadful it can be sometimes, caregivers can become aloof and you just could sit there for hours without help. This was so not the case at Holy Cross, everyone in the emergency room was friendly and diligent, they took excellent care of me. Particularly Sophia, an angel from heaven that came to my aide when I thought I was going to pass out in pain.

I went into the emergency room at midnight with a very high fever and muscle aches and lymph node swelling. Even though it was in the middle of the night on a weekend, they immediately went to work and did an extensive amount of testing. (Ie. COVID, Streep throat, blood cultures, blood tests, EKG, chest X-ray, extensive additional blood tests, and started me on several antibiotics). By 4 pm that day they had figured it out, and gave me the right medicine to take care of my issue. I cannot say enough good stuff about the professional and extensive staff that they had as well as the friendliness and professionalism of the entire hospital staff. I am so glad I went there and I will continue to go to Holy Cross as my hospital of choice. I highly recommend it!!

I had my little girl there last month. I got induced, Vaginal and no epidural & It was a great experience! The nurses were nice, catered to my every need while in labor and my doctor was amazing! However, when it came to Billings , everyone seems so confused. I was a self paid patient & I kept getting different quotes from them and it seems to be either a lot of hidden fees or they’re just not organized, sending me bills even after I already paid in full before delivery. In that aspect, they need to do better!

Receptionist at ER not the best when you walk in. But once you are inside Dr. Sachedina was great! She had excellent bed side manners, she took her time to explain everything in details without and listened carefully to my concerns. Relatively quick service considering you’re at the ER. I went to a different hospital before and I had to leave because the wait was ridiculous. We had sat there for at least 35 minutes after signing in without them even acknowledging us.

Holy cross Hospital is the most accommodating hospital for families of patients. It is a big help when patients have to stay in the hospital for long periods of time. The doctors are top notch. My surgeon, Dr David is the best. He tells you exactly how long the pain should last and for how many days, and he is always correct. I had open chest surgery , and it hurt for barely a day and a half!

I honestly have never seen better pediatric care. The doctor took good care to talk directly to my daughter (6yrs old). She had found an insulin pin outside and picked it up out of curiosity and poked herself. He got to her level, explained the situation, taught her why and how the item works, explained to her the dangers of touching items she doesn’t understand. And was careful to make her feel comfortable and safe. He was thorough to communicate with me, explain every expectation. He was very kind and I honestly never felt safer in the hands of a doc.

My latest experience at Holy Cross Hospital has been a 5 star experience. I went two weeks ago to the Women's center for Mammogram and Bone Density. I was in and out of there in 45 minutes between registering, waiting and getting the tests done. Yesterday I went to the Hospital on Federal Hwy. because my doctor had requested an x-ray. I tried calling to make an appointment but I was told it is walk-ins only. I gave it a try. Went at 2:00 pm was in and out in 30 minutes. Registration took longer than the rest. Can't say anything bad about my experience so far. I have all my doctors at Holy Cross and all I heard was bad things. Not sure if they are referring to a different location, but both the ones I have visited I have nothing to complain about.

I had surgery the morning of 4-27-18. My Dr Daniel Gomez is amazing!!!!!! Dr Gomez is the best! His entire surgical team is excellent! I was so scared but the whole team made me feel so much better. They all have wonderful attitudes,they're are very professional,attentive and caring.The surgery went very well and from the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone so much! They all did an amazing job! I stayed for the night and the RN'S were also very kind and caring. KUDOS to all involved!!!!

Needed to have an echocardiogram done. I called a few days earlier and was able to get a 9:00 AM appt. on MLK holiday ... nice! I got to the heart center at 8:40 and the receptionist checked me in. The entire process was quick and efficient. There was a mix up with the script the doctor’s office had written for the procedure, but they called to straighten it out while I waited. That took about 20 mins. Then the nurse/technician who was going to do the procedure came and got me. She was so nice and professional. She explained what she was going to do and we had some small chat during the procedure. It was all over in about 40 mins. I usually go to Holy Cross for various procedures and have had to be admitted on three separate occasions for different things. I have found patient care to be above average with caring and friendly staff.

I went in to get a TEE (Echocardiogram) done, it was described to me as a somewhat routine procedure. Since it involved me getting fully sedated and a tube being inserted through my esophagus, I was quite nervous the few days leading up to it. Everyone involved with my experience was quite courteous, friendly and professional, including the young lady who registered me, the anesthesiologist, echo technician and my cardiologist. I am especially appreciative of Terry, my nurse for 3 hours, she is calm, cool, collected, sweet, caring and professional. While prepping me and then being at my side or checking on me during the nerve racking hour and a half lying there before the procedure, her presence/attention was so comforting, as it also was waking up after the procedure. Thanks Terry, you’re just an angel.

I have been a patient with several physicians of this hospital for at least 30 years and feel I made the right choice. On a couple occasions there were some issues like a nurse making several attempts to draw blood unsuccessfully or not liking a doctor or two but for the most part I really like every doctor who provides care for me and have been a well established patient of theirs for many years !! When being in the ER or admitted or going in for a specific procedure the staff always makes sure you are well provided and cared for.

I recently had some outpatient surgery on my left foot. The pre-op and post-op staff were amazing. They explained everything before I went in, and again after I was done. Dr. Robert Mills, my surgeon, has a wonderful “bedside manner” and went over the surgery in detail with my wife and me before I was in the OR. He also made sure that everything he told me while in recovery, was explained again to my wife so nothing was missed. That’s the sign of an amazing doctor !

Great care was given as soon as I arrived in ER. I was treated with great dignity and kindness. PA Garrett gave great comfort in explaining and executing a procedure. Nurse Ken explained every step and gave great sports talk to an old college Ref like me! Emergency Room Review, Feb 2018. Needed to come to here with my sister on Sunday late afternoon after she was feeling sick, and all I can say about the Hospital staff Nurses and Doctors was that they are all top quality. They took great care of my sister and ran all sorts of tests and checked for every possible type symptom and cause of her illness. The Doctor actually took time to talk to my sister and not rush out of the room. After a few hours she was released. Also, the Security at the Hospital was fabulous and made me feel safe. Not like the New York Hospitals that let anyone in without asking for ID. I actually had to show my ID and take a photo at the Front Desk before entering the Hospital to see my sister - NY Hospitals should follow this same procedure. So, thank you Holy Cross Hospital, Emergency Room staff for taking great care of my sister.

Yesterday I had the most amazing experience at Holy Name Hospital ER. This place is a CLASS ACT. Within 5 minutes of registering with the lovely receptionist I was ushered into a room. A PA Jeff came in within 5 minutes to learn what my problem was, he was followed by a team of friendly professionals who administered an EKG then did blood work. This experience was so different than the ER in New York where I once waited for 3 hours for a similar problem to be addressed. I left after 3 hours never being seen by anyone only to return to another ER 48 hours later by ambulance. After my blood work was reviewed yesterday, Dr. Robert Thompson came in to speak with me and make future recommendations. This morning I received a call from the hospital asking how I felt, and Willow then called the recommended MD's office to set up an appointment for me next week. I have never received such great care from a medical unit in my life. I felt like I was at the Mayo Clinic. If any of my friends or family are ever in need of a hospital while in Broward County this is the place to be. Thank you to all the staff.

Such caring professionals! During a recent visit to the ER, my husband was treated with the utmost care and concern. The nurses, physician assistants and the doctors all took the time to talk with my husband and listened to his concerns. We are from Maryland and we were vacationing in Ft Lauderdale when the pain from a herniated disc became overwhelming. He wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to endure the 2 hour plane ride home. As part of my annual physical I got a CT scan of my lungs. Promptly thereafter a biopsy was taken an cancer was detected. Surgery was recommended and promptly scheduled and executed. Everyone was so attentive and professional. I am super impressed. Small area that needs improvement is to have some food, such as a small sandwich, after outpatient surgery. A graham cracker is not enough. Come on, after not eating from 5 pm the day before and to come out of surgery at 1 or 2 pm, to not have a small meal or smack, seems like you are missing the boat from being a good hospital to a great hospital. My Primary Care Doctor ordered an X-ray of my right foot on a Tuesday. I went to Holy Cross the following day to have it done. I had a written order from my Doctor. I was given directions at the front desk and was checked in within a few minutes after arriving at the Diagnostics area. A tecnician fetched me right away and had me on the X-ray table lickety-split. Everyone I came into contact with was kind and polite. My Doctor received the X-Ray report that same day. As much pain as I was in it was a pleasant experience. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there was no parking. They have a Valet service that was backed up. If there was additional parking for self parking folks like myself I sure didn’t see any signs. Other than that I will use Holy Cross again without hesitation.

I was admitted to the hospital this season 3 Times and the care was excellent. The doctors and nurses were wonderful. I also used the wound center and it was very good. I Had a large cut on my knee that needed 38 stitches. The wound started at home with a fall On the ice. When I got to Fl it was not doing well One of the nurses in the ER suggested the wound. clinic and I had Dr SCANNELL he was wonderful. I now use him as my PCP . I have Dr Whitmore as my Pulmonary Doctor He is terrific I also have Dr Ross as my urologist like him very much. I also have Dr Drew as my hematologist. I was an International patient of Holy Cross Hospital in February 2016 and my family and I had an excellent experience. We decided on Holy Cross Hospital because they advertised family oriented care we wanted our older son to be a part of the experience when his brother was born. Our first contact was Adriana at International Patient services- she was very friendly and really went above and beyond to help us with all of our arrangements. We were assigned to Dr Calvo's clinic and both she and her nurse Wendy were fabulous. When we arrived in Ft. Lauderdale to prepare for the birth of our baby, we dealt with Tara for payments etc- she was such a lovely lady and very professional. Then we ended up at the emergency room at 11:30pm- I was dealt with immediately and the staff was very very efficient. We were taken up to the Labour and Delivery ward where we met Nurse Desiree- she was so great at her job and helped us calm down in a very anxious situation. When it was decided that we were going to do an emergency C- section the staff at the Labour and Delivery ward watched our sleeping son so my husband could go into the theatre with me (we can't thank them enough for that). In the theatre the aneasthiologist was so reassuring that I forgot all about my fear of having numb legs. Dr. Adeboyejo did the C-section and she was amazing. When we were moved to the maternity ward we met Nursing Technician Esther who was was such a wonderful person- she actually wrote my older son's name as "big brother" on the board in the room with his baby brother's name and that meant the world to him. Then we met Nurse Patricia and later on Nurse Shelly- they really and truely were great at their jobs- they were very attentive and offered so much assistance and words of encouragement with breast feeding and I will always be grateful. We also met Dr Neustater- our son's Pediatrician- a wonderful doctor with lots of spunk and we had all the confidence in her. The room service food was great and we even got a birthday cake for baby!!! Our overall experience at Holy Cross Hospital was really and truely excellent.

Key Points Maternity ward is newly renovated. Professional Doctors and Specialists. Nurses make you feel comfortable. Wouldn't go anywhere else. My daughter was born in December of 2016 by an emergency c-section, after a successful procedure she was transferred to the NICU for the remainder of our stay. During that time the entire staff in the maternity ward went above and beyond to make sure we were informed and comfortable while waiting for her return to health. We had a breastfeeding specialist to work with mom and had 24 hour access to baby in the NICU. Where we were always greeted by someone giving us updates on her progress over the last few hours. We were discharged in less than a week and have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. I'm writing this review almost a year later because of my recent experience with other hospitals in the area. The level of care offered at other facilities are nowhere near this hospital. I will never go anywhere else.

My surgeon uses this hospital. I wouldn’t give him 5 stars, maybe 3. This is a ver nice hospital and all the staff I interacted with there were very nice. Went through ER, CT, outpatient and stayed over night on the 4th floor. My night nurse Chyna and daytime RN STARR were both great and very helpful. Even 3 hrs after I was discharged Starr went out of her way to try and fix my prescription debacle that my surgeon crated. I would give them more stars if that was possible.

I am reviewing my experience with Holy Cross in reference to Dr Hermida from the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute. I give him and his staff a 5! They did everything they could to help me when I was in excruciating pain. They squeezed me in for an appointment even though I was a patient of another doctor. Once there, the doctor saw me in a timely manner and did not keep me waiting. The nurses were wonderful and cheerful. When I found out I had to get an MRI, Dr. Hermida’s receptionist Kellyn set everything up with us waiting in the office. I was so thankful for taking the time to do this for me. She checked around until she found a Holy Cross facility that would take me that very day. Dr. Hermida is incredible. When Dr. Fernando Manalac at the Orthopedic Institute thought I should be given an ultrasound to rule out a clot in my leg, he and his excellent staff immediately arranged a test at HC Hospital. I was greeted and tested by s very professional staff and within an hour was cleared. I have only had outstanding experiences with the Institute and the imaging staff.

Regarding Doctors Velez and Rashid. I called and made an appointment for an examination in June of 2019, as I have had skin cancer for the past 5 years and my last doctor had retired. Dr. Velez's staff told me to forward my file prior to my appointment for the exam. I did so. I showed up timely for my exam. Dr. Velez promptly informed me he does not preform examinations, only chemically treats skin cancer when it is found. Two minutes of his time that day. He said Dr. Rashid was the man to see. I clearly made an appointment for an examination. I again showed up timely. Dr. Rashid promptly informed me he does not do examinations. He only surgically removes cancer when it is found. Again, two minutes of his time that day. I quietly complained that day to the office staff that I made two appointments for an examination and did not receive one. No rational response was given. The office staff referred me to a doctor off site (not in the Holy Cross system). After six months of civil contact disputing the charges, Holy Cross charged me for "consultations." I never needed nor received a consultation. I needed an exam. I requested an exam from my first contact with their office. In February of 2020 I have had my credit score dropped by these greedy non-professionals due to the fraudulent billing for services that were never rendered, and consultations that were not necessary and never happened.The billing department has had me fax my written statement of what transpired and always agreed I did not get what I made appointments for, but they said they had no authority. I am disappointed by the lack of professional service and remain personally damaged by the contrived language to justify the bills.

When I had both of my knees replaced at the same time, my three day stay was as good as anyone could expect for a brutal procedure. The care was great and the staff was always attentive. So this was the logical choice for an emergency. Before the ambulance guys even got me to a room, I was met by my nurse, Donna. She was very sweet and efficient. I noticed all evening that she was always singing softly as she worked. It was interesting, as she had a nice voice and it had a calming effect on me. It also made me think that she enjoys her job, which always makes the care better. Within just a couple of minutes, Dr. Thompson arrived. I have shoes older than this guy (yes, really), which tends to make me nervous. However, he was very good. He explained everything he was going to do as well as the reasons why he was doing it. When he asked me if I needed a blanket, I was surprised, generally doctors don't do that. I was floored when he went out and came back with two blankets himself! I have never seen a doctor actually do that. He told me that was the way they do things in their ER. He immediately ordered some medications which were delivered promptly and I felt better fairly soon. Within 15 minutes of coming through the doors, I'd seen the nurse, the doctor, the lab work was in process and I was on my way to X-ray. Later there was an EKG. Everything was done quickly and professionally by really nice people. I was checked on frequently to see if I needed anything. If I did, they took care of it. This is my second trip to this emergency room, and while both have been a positive experience, this time was exceptional.

The staff were so amazing because of how caring they were with each person they talk with. They introudced themselves to me explained what they were going to do. Ask me medical questions so I could receive the BEST CARE. The doctor was behind schedule because of the length of one operation. His staff updated me until it was my turn. In the recovery area I was givien delicious gram crackers and cranberry juice before the pain pill. They came we complete instructions what to do after surgery. I went in for severe sharp pain in my left rib, shoulder blade area. Got to the ER, walked to the receptionist, mind you I could barely breathe (fractured rib) so I could barely talk, she was so sweet, checked me right in. Got me back. Doctor came right in. I am a new patient in the Holy Cross system and yesterday afternoon had a cardiac catheterization performed. As I am home now, I wanted to take the time to write a short note to recognize the outstanding care I received from nurse Harmony B. in the Cardiac Catheterization Center. In my history with medical care, as in-patient and out-patient, there are always those experiences that stand-out, both outstanding, and not so good. Yesterday was one that I felt the need to recognize as an excellent experience, in the care of an outstanding nurse, one that Holy Cross is blessed to have on staff. Nurse Harmony B. took me into the Cath Lab and cared for me throughout aftercare, eventually discharging and taking me down curbside as my ride pulled around for pick up. In that 5 hour period I was made aware of her great compassion, knowledge and intuition to recognize when a patient needed some assurance in the after-care experience. She is a rare mix of genuine compassionate care and professional critical thinking. I want to thank Harmony B. for making a not so pleasant procedure a much more pleasant one on my healthcare journey. God bless and thank you.

While travelling in Pennsylvania, I was diagnosed with a “density” on my lower right lung. Being a survivor of the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center, I immediately knew I would have a problem, even though I’ve never smoked in my life. I flew home and saw my primary care doctor, Dr. Dolchin and began a series of tests that confirmed my worst fears. Dr. Dolchin referred me to an Oncologist (Dr. Lessen) and a thoracic surgeon, (Dr. David). Each of these doctors and their teams were truly amazing. They were caring, responsive and thorough. A decision was made to remove my right lower lung through a thorocotomy, which is a pretty significant procedure. This truly scares the hell out of me because I had never had a surgical procedure before. My entire medical team kept reassuring me, while being very honest and candid about what I was about to face regarding pain, treatment and the healing process. I had the surgery on 10/16/17. I will say very honestly that EVERY single person I dealt with from Holy Cross was amazing. From the staff that cleaned my room to the nurses and surgical team, each person was a true professional. Even many of my visitors commented about the great job they did in every aspect of my visit. I owe Doctor David, Doctor Dolchin and Doctor Lessen my life. Their staffs too. I went into Holy Cross expecting a good, acceptable medical experience. I left the hospital actually feeling like I was the most important person in that hospital (which I’m damned sure I’m not). They truly are professionals. The best I’ve seen so far. Keep up the good work Holy Cross!

I Went to Holy Cross for a CT Monogram and I was extremely nervous due to injections to my spine. However I was overwhelmed w joy on how professional and full of giving me preparation for the test. I arrived at approximately 5am having the flu for 5 days prior. The hospital staff was excellent and great bed side manner. Dr. Beach was one of my appointed doctor. Very polite and very thorough. They took blood and the results came back for the most part normal. However I had some tenderness on my right side and had extreme nausea which they gave me 2 different medications the 1st is zofrin which did nothing and the 2nd one is metoclopramid, which worked well. They ordered a ultrasound for my right side. Come to find out I had pneumonia on my right lung. At that point they said it's not bad so you can manage it at home. Which I had no problem with however the problem was extreme nausea and they gave me a prescription for which is no where near the effectiveness of the injectable into you IV. So they discharged me. This is now the 3rd home and I have been suffering tremendously with nausea. Kinda of dissappointed because I believe I should have been admitted at least for a day or 2 😒😒

I was very pleased with the care and treatment of Holy Cross. I was in a lot of pain from a terrible ear infection and throat infection. I had previously seen a doctor that gave me the wrong antibiotics so while I was waiting to improve, I got much worse. At that point, I was in a lot of pain and ended up going in the middle of the night to the ER. The doctors were very good. I had Dr Karl Svoboda who explained everything to me and gave me an injection that really helped with the inflammation and pain. He was great. I also was seen by P.A. Brian who was very attentive to my needs and closely watched my temperature. I am still very ill but the course of the proper antibiotics they gave me are starting to work. That is a huge relief especially after learning all the time on the wrong antibiotics did nothing but make me much worse until I went to Holy Cross.

I went in for an unexpected back surgery after taking a nasty spill. The triage team was quick and efficient. I cannot state that Dr. Matthew Moore was ever present except for the emergency surgery, not even for a post operation examination. Nurses were excellent. Because I was not properly examined (I waited 3 hours in Dr. Moore's waiting room), they missed a spinal tear and spinal fluid began to leak and cause me months of pain. It also warranted me another surgery. When I went back for my second surgery, I was treated with the best care. Dr. Matos answered all my questions and concerns. They tried to make the process as easy as possible. Besides the unpleasant (and fortunate I did not bring legal action) Dr. Moore, my stay at Holy Cross had been nothing but outstanding.

Great doctors and the best hospital in South FL in my opinion. Take all insurance only thing is some of nurses, appear they could care less about your condition or pain. They are small last time I was there but are multiplying. The good nurses are amazing though they will help with a smile and the others walk away while you're talking, roll there eyes yet it's your first question, and really act like they not being paid. However hope they won't last long, this is only hospital in South Florida i trust

As far as the doctors, nurses and patient care techs I give that part 5 stars. As far as hospital cleanliness one star. Room was never cleaned nor the bathrooms. Beds are so old and uncomfortable also being a patient who had a transplant 5 1/2 yrs. ago, my safety of not getting an infection was overlooked as I was told I'm on a heart floor and nobody is sick plus being told the hospital was full is ridiculous I was rushed out of one room so fast when they found out something was wrong with the person in the other bed. Plus people come to visit and can bring in germs so for your safety maybe you want to think twice about going here.

Went to ER for large bleeding elbow injury. Reception was prompt and professional.waited only 10 minutes for evaluation and sent to exam room. Nurse, pa, doctor examined me patched me up within an hour. My wife and I reccomend holy cross er. Great staff and free wifi.

My husband had an unexpected. Discomfort/emergency the night before we were to leave on a cruise and our doctor in Atlanta sent us to Holy Cross to get checked out. We could not have been treated better anywhere! Staff is perfectly responsive, professional and extremely lovely. With a history of recent quadruple bypass, we take no symptoms for granted and neither did they. Tests were run quickly, findings returned quickly and all was handled with warmth, dignity, and knowledge. Everyone was wonderful, Dr Taube, Carly, Roland, the USound tech, and the rest, all amazing. The major situation is that employees choose to park in the main lot rather than the employee parking area. I don't see any security encouraging employees to move on. Willy Davila… My experience from the time I registered and all through the surgery into the night hours was great… However when 7:30 am came…I got two nurses (of which I had until I checked out) were not caring…never came when I buzzed for them … Then an RN by the name of Laura came through and acknowledged any buzzes I had for help… The nurses that totally blew me off were… NISHON & CLONISE Except for these two individuals…my time at Holy Cross was excellent…Thank you!

I had knee replacement surgery, everyone was so kind, caring, and professional . The hospital was very clean the valet car service was great . My surgeon Dr. Raul Gosthe was so informative and caring. I left the facility feeling good about my road to recovery.

Dr. Perez and his staff are very helpful and friendly. After a month of not being able to keep any food or liquids down and two ER visits he expedited my consultation visit to have my lap band removed. After fighting with the doctor who original put it in , Dr. Choi at Strax, who told me “he refuses to take it out” even though he knew I was having issues consuming any nurishment. I found dr Perez because I was in Holy Cross emergency room. After my consultation and seeing my scans and how much weight I lost in such a short time he scheduled me for surgery the very next day. And his nurse was able to get insurance to approve it quickly. They have literally been my angels and I’m so thankful to have come across his office.

I came to this hospital yesterday on 10/22/18. I have a rare kidney disease that causes severe pain and severe blood in my urine. I arrived at the ER around 10am and was signed in right away seen triage nurse with in 10 min. I was in a bed in the ER by 10:40. Waited less then 10 min to see a doctor once i got in the bed. I was very apprehensive with coming to the ER cause i am on a lot of medications for the pain with the kidney disease and only have been treated by my doctors an ER back in Pennsylvania. The PA rob in the ER and the attending sorry i forget his name were absolutely awsome. They listend to me let me talk they were in no way condescending and treated me with respect and did everyrhing they could to get me comfortable. Unfortunately i had to be admitted cause the pain started getting worse today. I am on the 2nd floor and the nurses and physicians here are also awsome. I have been treated with respect from everyone i have run into at holy cross. When u have a rare kidney disease and have a flare up while u are in another state and all the meds im on definitly make u nerveous cause the people here dont know me and my disease but like i said they listend to me and did everything they could to help me and still are as i am staying at least till Wednesday. My home hospital is ranked in the top 10 hospitals in the country and i honestly put holy cross right up there with my home hospital

I had a wonderful expietence in the E.R., for some recent tests, after a fall. My nurse, Ashley and Dr. Ryan T., were simply outstanding. But everyone from the unit clerk to the billing lady, x-ray, cat scan, and the paramedic who drew my blood were just wonderful and over the top. Not ONE negative expietence to even complain about. Perfect!!!

I am a nurse myself and lived and worked in many different countries in this world. (Switzerland, Middle East, Germany, UK etc.) The last 6 years I worked as Chief Nurse for CCL and RCCL. I know people always are very fast in complaining but I think it is as well very important to open the mouth if something is good. I was very impressed with the extreme high status of care and cleanliness of the hospital. Something you don’t find very often. All of your Personal Nurses , Doctors, Physiotherapist, Phlebotomist worked efficient, were very helpful, took their time with the patients and dealt in a professional manner. You can be proud to have such excellent staff. After my ordeal of 15 month and having been told by several Doctors that I am not a case for surgery and never will be due too high risk, I was apprehensive to have the surgery done but Dr. Cantor but he gave me the right assurance, took his time to explain everything to me , and so far touch wood, I was able to walk without pain He worked a miracle on me. I can’t tell you how grateful and how very much impressed I am with everything. I haven’t got enough words to express how I feel. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH It was wonderful to receive from International the gown and the flowers. It was a very nice welcome gesture.Thank you again. All in all an extraordinaire excellent experience. My husband had a procedure in December which he was asked to pay his portion up front. He told them that he had met is responsibility but they insisted he still pay. We have been waiting for our total refund for three months. They had the audacity to tell us they would send us to collections if we didn't pay a doctors bill when we told them to pay the doctor with the money they owe us. They gave us 30 days to pay. We've been waiting 90 days for our refund. We are now in the process of talking to an attorney.

I have been a stage 4 lung cancer patient of Oncologist Doctor David Drew for nearly FIVE years now. Doctor Drew, his entire staff, all the nurses in the chemotherapy/ immunotherapy department, as well as ALL the dedicated employees, whether in the E.R., MRI, CT scan, pre or post Op or Intensive Care, deserve no less than 5 stars for their mission, and their most competent care. I know because I’ve been on the receiving end of ALL of their services. Originally my prognosis to live even another year was very dim- but I decided to fight!With Doctor Drew and his vast knowledge of oncology leading the way I underwent several operations including brain and Gamma Knife surgery. My follow up care has been the newer approach of immunotherapy using the newest drugs available, like Merck pharmaceuticals Keytruda. So if you find yourself in my shoes, cancer stricken and full of anxiety, do yourself a BIG favor and choose the health professionals at Holy Cross and their cancer center oncologists. You will be so glad that you did. When it comes to YOUR health, make an intelligent decision. Your life may very well depend on it. Mine did. As of today I’ve made tremendous progress and I’m able to live a “normal” life. I continue with my cancer treatments on a 3 week basis receiving Keytruda and having Brain MRI’s and full torso CT scans on a 6 month basis. I live in Coral Springs, and I travel all the way to Holy Cross in Ft. Lauderdale for my medical and emergency needs. The Staff, Nurses, and Doctors are always courteous and kind. They are a jovial group, so my last two times there I always end up joking around with them. The quality of care - by far everyone at Holy Cross is professional, caring, and they take care of you, the patient. The two times I have went to Holy Cross, whether diagnosis for illness or injury has been spot on. Even though I live in Coral Springs, it’s worth the 30 minute drive. The only downside I see for Holy Cross - I wish they had a fast track side. The hospital back home in Maryland had Fast Track. Fast Track is meant to get patients in and out who have injuries that are relatively minor, while your patients that are suffering from an illness or medical emergency are seen on another side of the emergency room. It’s another way to Triage.

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Raul Ghoste and his superior staff of professionals assist me through the process of getting a bilat TKA on June 28th of this year. Dr. Ghoste did an unbelievable job that has contributed to my ability to recover, both with the assistance of the fine staff of physical therapy professionals that work alongside Dr. Ghoste in the Orthopedic Center of Fort Lauderdale. I am in my 7th week of recovery and am driving, and patiently waiting to be able to go swimming or the ocean..!! I am also going to call my employer to go back to work very soon. Kudos again to the entire staff at Holy Cross; from the nurses who helped me after my surgery, to the front desk staff who are always ready to help in the Ortho Center -- I am grateful and thankful to have been blessed to get this procedure done and am looking forward to my upcoming retirement years where I can once again do those things that are priceless until you realize you can't do them; like taking a walk on the beach, doing chores, working. I highly recommend Holy Cross to anyone who is considering surgery for their hurting knees.

This was my second time at Holy Cross HealthPlex (Outpatient Surgery Center) in 4 months. Both experience were brilliant. I would chose to go to the HealthPlex any day over a regular Hospital. The one on one care from all the nurse's was very warm and comforting, they really took their time to make you feel comfortable. It's starts from even walking in to the HealthPlex, it is layout lovely, Mary the lady who check people in was super sweet and knew what she was doing. Marta was amazing and went above and beyond to make me as comfortable as she possible could. Would definitively recommend this facility to anyone that asks.

Admitted with scary blood pressure complications. Emergency room was quick and responsive. I was then moved into the Neuro ICU ward" The name alone scares the bejesus out of you. Yes the nurses and doctors have an excellent bedside manner. But, Imagine having a reaction to one of the drugs and you press your call button. It felt like 3 minutes Now you would think that of all places ICU would be super responsive. Truth be told. I got paniky when 3 nurses congregated outside my open room door, to chat as Im writhin in my bed from the reaction. I had to start a commotion (how embarassing) THEN they DECENDED on me. Two were treating the third tried to hold down my legs. WAY TO GO. I was only rubbing my ankles together. Self-soothing behavior. If you hurned around when you heard the call button the first time it wouldn't have gotten to that point for me emotionally. After this, I got quick treatment. Even so, my confidence in their responsiveness dropped a point.

Well, I have NEVeR encounters a more thorough explanation of a procedure than from this lovely lady! I felt like not on,y had she put me to ease, she didn’t treat me like an outsider and explained every step of every move she made.
