Boston Children's has been amazing, the staff are so kind and friendly, very knowledgeable of and informative of everything going on with their patient. They have tons of activities going on everyday to keep the kids busy and spirit's high. The nurses are always checking in with the parents making sure they are okay and if they need something they make sure it is taken care of. Thank you Boston Children's and staff for everything you have done and continue to do for my family we love you ❤

Best experience in the world the best hospital i have ever had in my life. every one care here . Very professional nurses and friendly staff very clean and very fast to get a appointment for my child. Consultation doctors are the best here and investigation machinery is very advanced .

They were great at performing her surgery, I will say that!! The doctors were amazing!! It was the nurses and staff I had HUGE ISSUES WITH!! She was there for about a month. One time I had an appointment and I couldn't be at the hospital that day. Upon returning, I noticed my then 4 month old had not been moved out of her bed or picked up the whole time I was gone which was close to 12 hrs!!!! I took pictures of how I found her upon returning and still have them. I called the right authorities and it never happened again!! Make sure to advocate for your child, especially if theu don't have a voice and you see something wrong!!! Don't be afraid because it's a hospital! It was horrible for her to have to go through and this was in 2018!!! I would still recommend them for any serious surgeries for your children, but no so much for very young children. If I had to do it again I'm not sure I would go to the same place for her gastronomy tube surgery. Expect to basically spend thousands on hotels and parking. It's extremely expensive, but it was worth knowing they had done tons of g tube surgeries! May you and your child(ren) be okay!!

Difficult review to write. How does one rate a whole hospital really? Doctors and PAs were excellent. Staff was effecient and excellent. Nurses were caring and excellent. Even the cleaning staff was cordial and helpful. One feels like the hospital does not want to waste their time or yours...so appointments and procedures are scheduled effeciently and effectively. Elevators are fast and plentiful. Food service options were all very good. Everyone we came in contact with were nice and helpful. Patient rooms are on the small side though. But all in all, we've been to several large hospitals for major surgeries and/or procedures, BCH ranks first with us due to their caring, expertise, and consistent desire to provide the best solutions to complex medical problems. Latest procedure 2019...efficient procedure and excellent staff once again. Another major procedure 2018... Yet another major procedure, great experience, great staff. Second major surgery 2018... Another major operation and procedures, and another week stay. Everyone on staff were really nice, professional, and helpful. Allow me to say that if you treat the doctors, nurses, PA's, administration staff with the courtesy and respect they deserve - that's how they treat you and most importantly the patient. First major procedure 2017... Great job by the medical staff. My only complaint was the double occupancy rooms. My young family member (and spouse attending to her bedside) couldn't sleep at all during her post cardiac procedure overnight stay. Unfortunately the other patient sharing the room was never quiet, almost constantly calling for the nursing staff. There were many rooms completely empty and dark that could have been utilized on that floor. Maybe it's easier on the staff to double patients up, but it prevented my family member from getting any rest at all as she was trying to recover from a 7+ hr cardiac catheterization. And it greatly added to our stress listening to a young adult patient (with an inattentive parent who really could have helped more) unnecessarily complaining to the nursing staff about her care and condition. The overnight stay was the only negative to an otherwise very positive experience. Push for a private room if you can.

So far my team in the Dana Farber Cancer Institute has been absolutely amazing. The bone marrow transplant team have a great team of well experienced and knowledgeable people that simply care to help. The peace of mind they’ve given me has been unbelievable for a long stretch in frustration I’ve been experiencing elsewhere. From the front desk to the coordinator to the actual doctor, just quality of service all around. The insurance department has been super patient and transparent. I fully recommend and commend this hospital on the amazing work these people are doing.

Only thing stopping 5 star rating was discharge team. Surgery for my daughter went amazing. We’re told at 6:45 A.M she was good to go home. It is now 1:20 P.M and they still have zero answer or reason why we haven’t been discharged. At this point I am convinced it is so they can charge her insurance for another whole day. My daughter is 5 months old and very uncomfortable here, she hasn’t been monitored for almost 10 hours but for some reason the nurse keeps coming by every few hours to check her blood pressure for no reason at all. If they wanted to know her blood pressure they’d be monitoring her. Just shady tactics to make more money at our expense

This hospital saved my life. I was suffering from ACNES for about 7 years and no one could figure out the cause. (ACNES causes chronic pain that gets worse over time) I went to some of the best doctors in the country including Mayo Clinic and the NIH. Finally my rheumatologist sent me here and within 2 days the pain management team determined it was ACNES I had trigger point injections and now I’m just fine and have living my life as normal ever since.

Had a operation done on my spine to remove a tumor there. I don't remember much but I spent a week recovering there and it was very good. Entertainment was splendid with a tv, PS4, etc. Another thing I do is if presented no other option, we go there for MRI's to check up on the tumor. Theres nothing wrong with it, just the pressure of Boston and the tight schedule is annoying. 10/10

I’m so emotional thinking about how good the nurses treated my daughter & I. Every SINGLE nurse but one sticks out the most. She held me that first day while I just cried & cried & I will forever be grateful for her. Covid rules makes hospital stays so lonely. I just felt so alone & helpless but the nurses took care of my little girl so well when I felt defeated. I’m so thankful for them & her surgeon Dr. Green did such an amazing job with her as well. I will forever be thankful for the whole plastics team ❤️

The absolute best hospital hands down. We were admitted in Dec 2019 from NY into the NICU, every nurse there is amazing and every doctor really made you feel super comfortable, especially Dr Phil Levy. He followed my son once we were moved into the PICU & every single nurse and doctor in there is amazing as well. We formed bonds with everyone we met from the social workers to the chaplains, & child life etc. we were recently transferred back to NY & they gave my son a bubble parade when we left that brought us to tears. Not only did they save his life on multiple occasions but they became family to us. I highly recommend going here over anywhere else & get opinions from these doctors before any others

Great staffs with wonderful customer service. They showed love and care while providing my daughter with the necessary medical needs in the ER department. They kept reassuring me that my baby girl was going to be okay and their action reflects their expertise. Nine hours later, I was out of the ER with my baby girl. Thank God.

A couple years ago when my daughter was diagnosed with alopecia areata a immune system disorder like numerous other diseases we went to UCONNs Children campus in Farmington. She received mediocre care and was told due to age and types of treatments we were limited so doctor stated let's watch hair fall out and monitor issues. We went to super far and out of our way to go and show up for a second opinion! The doctor stated let's try this steroid cream and etc and within 3 weeks saw alopecia being less and beaten up! With information of current issue my daughter made a full recovery!!!!! Thanks Boston children's, Sincerely, Robert Valitsky

Great place, nice staff, very nice and friendly nurses on 10 East, but I’m sure throughout too. The volunteers are great, very good at providing breaks for the care givers. It’s great having a play area on the floor. I would like to request that the lab-tops get up dated for the nurses ours keep, well not working, and they all should have a light up keypad for night time.

I have my child's primary care doctor, dentist, urologist, and optometrist at Boston Children's Hospital. It is rated the number 1 children's hospital in the country. I have access to social workers on call and my child has always been seen the same day for a sick visit. You may to wait a few months for a dentist or a first primary care appointment but it is worth the wait! Once your child becomes a patient there it will be easier to get an appointment and always for an emergency sick visit or dentist appt the same day. They also have the best pediatric emergency room. There are all kinds of accommodations for families that travel who have a child receiving treatment and for families who are local. They are my first choice always for my child.

This place has everything. Full cable in the rooms for the kids. Laptops, Sony PlayStations all in the rooms. Incredible staff also. Friendly, helpful, kind. Awesome medical team overall. Everyone here is super nice, caring, and they seem to know their stuff inside and out. We went on a Sunday afternoon to the emergency room and didn't have to wait at all before being seen. They are all really good about answering questions and keeping us informed of what's going on and what the plan is.

The doctors at this hospital are amazing, literally geniuses. However the standard of excellence with the administrative staff and booking an appointment/checking in is subpar-poor. I have had several problems getting in touch with staff and frequently the administrative staff (in multiple offices) had been rude and hard to work with work with. I would expect more from the number one hospital in the country. I can say this too because I not only am a patient but I also worked for Boston Children's Hospital.

my new born daughter was transferred here ..the doctors and nurses were great and went out of their way to help me any way they could. the social worker helped me with everything i needed. not to mention the amazing job the medical team did taking care of my daughter. they did their best to make me feel as comfortable as possible.this was my first child and a scary experience but being able to stay at the hospital with my baby and having someone to talk to and be updated about her condition 24 hrs a day really helped. they gave me food and transportation vouchers when i needed them, i had access to my daughter in the nicu 24/7 and the team that was helping her met with me every day to tell me what was going on. i couldn't of asked for a more supportive place for my baby to be. highly recommended.!

Dr. Marinoff is a very compassionate doctor. Some highlights that really stood out to us are attention to detail, very good listener, caring for patients overall outcome, and yet very professional. She always cared to check in with the patients and their families to make sure their concerns were heard and followed through with the rest of the care team. Children's hospital really is the best place to bring your child/children. First and most important the doctors here are the best of the best. Second the hospital has amenities for the parents as well. If your going to have to stay in a hospital with your child then children's is where you want to be. Be sure to use the valet parking as having to cross a busy city street with a sick kiddo is not fun.

Grandson gravely ill. Thanking God this place existed and able to put him into their ICU. I have never witnessed so many people in a room when they needed to do a procedure. They ran him thru an MRI every 10-12 hours and that was 3-4 people going down through a NASA-like check list in order to transport him. So grateful for these brilliant people and their technology.

I have been going to Boston Children's Hospital to see Dr. Peter Waters for my orthopedic injury since the age of 12. I am now 26 years old. I flew all the way from Alaska back to my home state of MA to make sure I went back to this awesome place! Dr. Waters not only remembered me and was excited to see me, but agreed to continue seeing me for the foreseeable future. I understand this is a children's hospital, but I find it amazing that a doctor will continue medical support into adulthood. Dr. Waters is an amazing physician. I loved every interaction with him, along with all hospital staff. If you want a great place to go without any compromises, chose Boston Children's Hospital.

My daughter got admitted and kept overnight within her first week of life, and I was truly amazed by the attention and care given by all staff who crossed her path. Gillian especially made us feel as though we were the only patients in the building deserving of the very best treatment and love and support. She put us at ease and instilled a confidence in us as first-time parents that fills me with joy. Most notably, Kim Barbas was able to solve a major mystery regarding my milk production, setting me off on a whole new positive trajectory when it comes to nourishing my daughter the way that works for us. Lactation consultants at the hospital I delivered at hadn’t noticed the issue that Kim did - and it was a major game changer! The time she took with us was so valuable; I didn’t feel rushed and wasn’t forced to do anything I didn’t feel comfortable with. She truly is an expert in her field - both in terms of knowledge/expertise and bedside manner.

I was able to see a top Cardiologist in the morning, get a blood test and an echo cardiagram before noon, then was able to see 2 fantastic endocrinologists at 2:30, and get another blood test before 5. We had only scheduled the one appointment with the Cardiologist in the morning. Superb care and they were able to figure out what I had (which wasn't easy), in just a few hours. All of the doctors I saw were extremely responsive the day after as well. Bravo

My niece is in the ICU and their team is taking awesome care of her. They have everything you need, sleeping quaters, food, showers, entertainment. They are keeping a close eye on everything and you can see that they love their jobs and all the patients they have. There is also valet parking!

Back in 2003 I had a terrible accident. Children's Hospital is the reason why I am still walking today and I am incredibly grateful for that. Dr. Murray worked on my leg and spent 8 hours in surgery to help me regain the use of my right leg. They said before that there was a good chance I would never walk again...I was playing Basketball with my friends and school 6 months later. I owe them everything. Amazing staff, facility, nurses, care...the whole nine yards. 5 stars all the way.

OMG!!! My family has been patients for years here. For starters they ended up changing our family appointment to Saturday, which worked out perfectly because I wouldn't have to pull them out of school during the week. Unfortunately, my little one had her first cavity and Children's Dental Department has brought up to another level in the most fantastic way. Saturday visiting room was totally quite and each staff member gave us VIP service all the way up!!! Dr. Roslyn, was such a professional sweet heart. She explained the entire process and showed my daughter all the instruments they would be using. They even had an IPAD showing the Frozen movie playing above the patient dental chair. Ann & Lily the hygienist were excellent and Dr. Cooper was super as well. Our visit for 3 children took an hour and 15 mins. Lastly Dana the Administrative Coordinator is dynamic as always.

The speed and quality of the service here is outstanding - and they're always doing a little bit extra to put a smile on the kids faces. I've seen NE Patriots hugging folks in the lobby, and wandering clowns have cheered up my son repeatedly. Such a wonderful hospital!

My wife is a patient here, and has been coming here since she was 8 or 9. She had an above the knee amputation, and the stay has been great. My only frustrations are with the cost of the food, Starbucks doesn't allow us to use our free drinks, and the parking program isn't completely explained. If you qualify, you can either come and go throughout the day, or get overnight parking,not both.

My son was born in 2006 and since we have traveled to Boston Children's Hospital from northern nj near NYC. The entire staff is amazing. My son has since head 19 surgeries and will continue until his 20s. I can't say enough about all the Dr's in Plastic Surgery. We went to Boston Children's Hospital for a second opinion after our daughter was a patient of Nemours Children's in Orlando Florida. The customer service, attention to detail, and technology was so much better. If it wasn't for Boston and we followed Nemour's advice, we would have ended up putting our daughter on a medication for a medical condition she didn't have. We are beyond greatful and it's clear why this hospital is number 1 in the country.

Dr.Resnick recently took my wisdom teeth out and he did a fanastic job! All the staff was very friendly. They all made sure I was comfotable and well informed throughout my entire visit. My recovery has been much easier then I had anticipated thanks to Dr.Resnick.

I don't know where to start. I've had a few wonderful doctors, and few bad doctors. But in my opinion, the good times outweighthe bad. I've been involved with children's since I was 3. And I just turned 21. I was in and out of Boston when I was little with surgeries etc. Most of the people I've come into contact with were nothing but helpful and supportive. Two doctors stand out to me and will always- Nimec and Snyder. They will do anything in their power to make me at ease and comfortable with my CP. Libenson, my neurologist on the other hand- one of the worst doctors I've had.

Once you taste the horrible medical healthcare system in Los Angeles which is like a third world country, you will come to appreciate the top ranking hospitals in Boston. Thanks for treating my child’s illness which the horrible LA pediatricians and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital neglected. I miss Boston a lot and need to come back to this historical and culturally vibrant city, the Athens of America. Massachusetts ranks number one in education and number two in healthcare thanks to the presence of Harvard and MIT as well as top ranking biomedical research groups here. Escaping the hell in Los Angeles with arrogant and ill-trained doctors and consistently misdiagnosis “diagnostic“ groups. Both cities have high cost of living, but the qualities you get in Boston cannot be paralleled.

The doctors and nurses here are wonderful- Especially Dr. Meyer- He saved my life when I was only four days old. I was born with a heart condition called transposition of the greater arteries, also known as TGA. it is a disease in where the two main arteries in your heart that brings blood into my heart and the other one that brings blood to the rest of my body where switched. The one that was SUPPOSED to be bringing blood to my heart was bringing blood to the rest of my body, and vise versa. Luckily, since Dr. Meyer was there, he knew what to do. He stopped my heart for two hours, and replaced the two arteries. Get this, since this happened when I was four days old, it also happened to be on my mom's 40th birthday. When I was having surgery, my mom and dad couldn't go in, so they noticed a shrine in the hospital, they went in and said a few prayers to God that I would be alright. Eleven years later, I couldn't be better, I have a loving family, with so many siblings, even a few nephews and nieces. So thank you Boston Children's, and especially Dr. Meyer, for saving my life, and saving the lives of many other countless newborns from heart defects. Thank you Children's.

My daughter was transported to BCH when she was just under three. From the moment their transport team arrived until the moment we left I felt everything was ok. The only downside was on a regular floor (after we left MICU) the noise, and the organized chaos really gets to you. There were two to a room, and the lady whose baby was in the next bed kept handing her off to me. My little girl has not had to return for her asthma THANK GOODNESS, but if she ever does I know they will take good care of her!
