Dr.Patrick Brady is an excellent Doctor and was a bonus for Avante. To study the phenomenon of disease without books is to sail an uncharted sea, while to study books without patients is not to go to sea at all. While I have always greatly appreciated Kim’s commitment to the physical and mental health of all of her patients, the biggest impact she has made for me is, undoubtedly, saving my life. Over the years she has always been supportive of me reaching my health goals, understanding my frustrations with the physical and mental strains of my job, which have worsened with the pandemic, and has always been able to relate to me on a human level, not just practitioner to patient. Most recently, her gut instinct and willingness to advocate for her patients led me from an unremarkable mammogram to an MRI, which found my breast cancer at an early stage. Located against my chest wall and difficult to find with ultrasound, this impalpable mass would have continued to grow, likely leading to a single or double mastectomy and an unimaginable disruption to my life. Instead, I am currently recovering from a lumpectomy and lymph node dissection, waiting on tests to determine if chemotherapy is necessary, followed by radiation. If all goes well, I should be able to return to my work and my furry patients in a few months. Because of my case, Kim plans to be an even stronger advocate for her patients in regards to their mammogram score on the Tyrer-Cuzick model. Something I also feel is remarkable, is that when my diagnosis came through Kim was out of the country and tried to call me herself anyway. When she couldn’t reach me she made sure another provider would see me in person right away to tell me the news and give recommendations for a surgical oncologist, further ensuring there was no delay in my treatment. All four of my oncologists and other providers on my cancer team continue to sing her praises. Nearly every appointment I am told how impressed they are, and how lucky I am, that Kim pushed for that MRI. I will be forever grateful to her, whatever the outcome of my diagnosis and treatment, because I know that without her, it likely would have been much worse and treatment would be so much more difficult.

Kim Kubick has changed my life. Cliche sounding, yes. But true. For 3 years I suffered from a multitude of symptoms ranging from sleeplessness to mood swings to non-existent energy. After extensive blood tests I became aware of issues relating to thyroid disturbances and food allergies. After implementing suggested changes I’m feeling the best I have in years. The front desk is hit or miss and I don’t care for not being able to get someone on the phone very easily (everything is “online” these days) but the quality of care and compassion I have experienced is top notch.

I have visited numerous specialists and I have spent countless thousands of dollars seeking a diagnosis for a condition that had become increasingly worse over the course of several years. My experience with traditional western MDs was not positive. I felt that my input was often dismissed and I was constantly shuffled from one doctor’s office to another while whimsically prescribed unnecessary medications that had no positive impact on my symptoms. My journey finally brought me to Kim Kubick at Avante. Finally, I found a medical professional that took the time to listen to my input and validate my concerns regarding my health. Through extensive blood work I was diagnosed with a thyroid and autoimmune disorder. I am in the initial stages of my treatment plan, but I am feeling much better and hopeful for the opportunity to feel great again! I have never been to an office where every person on the staff that you talk to has such a good attitude and genuinely cares about you. I see Bethany Buchanan and she has saved my life. I am extremely happy with the care that Ana has provided me. I am extremely happy with the ladies at the blood draw station as well as the wait times in general. Everyone except one person up front is extremely kind. The one person who is not is… just terrible. If I could always avoid her it would be awesome. The communication is terrible. The turnaround time on labs is just ridicules and in the future I will be having my labs drawn at the hospital to avoid the annoyance. I do feel the Avante in general is only about the money however; Ana works there and she is amazing! If you are going for well care, I would recommend them hands down. If you have chronic issues or are currently ill, go somewhere different or plan on a very long process.

Have gone to Avante on & off for several years and never disappointed. Front office staff, billing, and CMAs have always been thorough, friendly, and professional. I also appreciate the patient portal to allow swift communication with my provider and other clinical staff. It's very helpful when I have a question or situation that can be addressed without the need for an appointment as I live outside of the Anchorage area.

Dr. Wendy - The Chiropractor is great . She explains everything to you . The one negative is that you have to wait awhile after your appointment time before you are seen but hopefully that is because she is taking her time with each of her clients.

We had been looking for a doctor who leaned towards natural medicine for our ADHD daughter, and wow is Dr. Jen wonderful! The staff does their job. The office is spotless and well-decorated (I totally wanted to steal some of their magazines!!). But I can’t say enough about how good Dr. Jen and Leann are with the kiddos. However. Take you needle-frightened kiddo somewhere else to do blood draws - the phlebotomist has zero patience for scared children.

I was feeling very frustrated, but am updating my prior review because after sending the message through the portal directly to the doctor I received a call and we have gotten things sorted out. I received the call this evening after leaving the email with her a little before noon. My daughter has been sick for 5 months and we have been in and out of traditional doctors offices. We went here and had a 2 hour consultation with the doctor. I felt really good about things when I left, but then found out the test she ordered can't be done on children. I called back several times. I have left 6 voice messages and 1 message through their patient portal in the last week and a half, but no one has responded to me.
