Had the most pleasant and engaging experience despite being in excruciating pain. Took a tumble onto my wrist but thanks to the good people at UNM Sandoval, I had X-ray, diagnosis, splinting and all-around compassionate care from the check-in desk until discharge…ALL in less than 2 hours. Shout out to the lovely nurse Gabby! You are the best and you are in the right field as it is evident that you actually care about your patient. You immediately put and kept me at ease. I went to the Sandoval Regional Hospital during the height of Covid and was diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia which can be life threatening. They saved my life! Great care all around from nurses, interns, MDs and I appreciated that the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. I cannot say the same for Loveless Heart Hospital unfortunately.

Short staffed. Dirty restrooms in the Waiting area. Went to the ER approximately 9pm to get stitches for my son. Its almost 4am now, and we keep getting told we're next for the past 3 hours. I do my best to understand the wait time and the severity of other patients, but it feels like we waited way too long. I knew we'd be here atleast 3 or 4 hours, but we're going on hour 7. I get staffing, but dang this isn't good. Gave a 3 because the last time we were here 2 weeks ago, the wait time was exceptional and the staff were friendly and very hospitable.

I had a medical emergency and checked into the Emergency unit at the UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center. The staff were efficient, reassuring and respectful while they provided seamless care from admittance , surgery and onto recovery. The facility was very nice to wake up in and the aftercare was exemplary. I don't plan to need SRMC services again, but when I do it is reassuring that professional care is close by.

Went here for a ct scan was admitted into the ER for there was a fluid build up in my right lung. Waited about 30 minutes to get admitted and to an ER room. Everything was ẹxplained to me in detail. AlLL the staff are so nice and friendly, from the techs to doctor to nurse, and to the lady who brought my food trays. I will definitely go here when I need a hospital. THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED IN MY CARE

My wife was in ED on Tuesday 6/28/22. She was diagnosed with spine issues and UTI. Some how the medications the doctor asked for never got sent to the Pharmacy. I reported this problem to Ms Dorella Grabowski. Dory went out of her way to resolve the issue with ED. She was extremely dedicated and efficient in finding the answers. In addition, she was very pleasant to deal with and had a very positive attitude. She is an outstanding person which is dedicated to her work and helping patients. Thank you Dory!! Job well done. We want to thank your staff, the doctors, the nurses, the techs, the kitchen staff, everybody, including the lady who cheerfully cleaned the room every day. We have good appreciation for what was done for Dad while he was there. We are grateful for the treatment he received in your hospital.

Wonderful staff, excellent care with the glaring exception of a contracted anesthesiologist who refused to perform an accepted medical procedure to treat my wife. We had to leave Rio Rancho and go to UNM in ABQ in order to receive care from a caring and professional UNM anesthesiologist who did not raise their voice or try to bully my wife like the POS at Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho.

The administration staff and nursing staff, right from entering the facility, were fantastic! Friendly, helpful, respectful, kind and thoughtful. I waited for approximately 3, hours after my surgery, for my ride to return. The nursing staff were concerned for my welfare and comfort. One of the nurses even bought me lunch! Absolutely amazing facility and staff!

I love this place. Everyone in 3rd floor ICU was incredible. Cannot say enough good things. Very professional, caring staff. This is the kind of place you feel like you could stop in just to say hi after you're discharged. I noticed several negative reviews and I don't understand why. Absolutely no complaints from me. Maybe the complainers just outnumber the patients who are happy, but who just haven't written reviews yet. Being something of a world traveler, I've been in hospitals everywhere-none better than this place. Great hospital, great staff. Did I say I love this place?

I am so grateful for the excellent ER care I recieved here this week. I had two conditions which were managed very thoughtfully and appropriately. Dr Scott & Dr Brody both took 20-30 min each with me over the course of 8 hours to explain my diagnoses and answer all my questions with very good bedside manner. The nurses listened well and helped a lot, even though the entire place was very busy. The ER was clean and comfortable with very nice, very private rooms. I would highly recommend choosing UNM Sandoval Regional if you have an ER choice. -Julie Blossom DVM

The Tricore labs here are much less busy than at Presbyterian. The only bad thing is, that you have to be a UNM patient to have blood drawn. The staff are awesome too!

I underwent corrective surgery at SCRMC today. I understand that COVID is creating a major issue regarding sufficient staff as well as scheduling. I am not mad about the problems I encountered with that today. I am also very happy with the outcome of my surgery. Nevertheless I am very upset about the fact, that there were dried blood drops on the floor as well as discarded wrappers and tops of injections. I asked the nurses to remove both. The trash bin was overflowing. Furthermore Dr. Ali one of the resident doctors was extremely rude and cold. He didn't listen to my answers concerning his questions. He has absolutely no bed side manners. He made me feel very uncomfortable. Dr. Shetty on the other hand was wonderful. I will use this hospital again in hopes that certain things will improve.Thank you. Sylvia C.

Staff and,hospital best in Albuquerque. Super clean, and the staff is great. My mother had shoulder replacement surgery, which includes a brief stay in the hospital. I have visited numerous hospitals over the years, as a cop, and this is by far the nicest hospital I have ever been in. The staff is a hige part of this. Everyone we encountered was helpful, friendly, and cheerful. If you ever have to choose a hospital to use pick this one.

I haven't been the healthiest for the past 4 years, I have seen all sort of doctors but I found the most amazing and knowledgeable gynecologist at this hospital. She has a big heart, she understands the challenges women face managing career, personal development, education and your natural desire to be a mother but same time your need to want to wait. She spends time with you to make you understand your options. She is honest I saw a lot of Male gyns, they don't seem to feel your pain, the emotions you go through or maybe they just don't care, its just their job. I can't talk for the hospital in general but my GYN Dr Montoya is simply amazing Thanks for being who you are, I know many women like me are grateful

Outstanding facility! Nurses: Shannon, Theresa, and Nicole. Dr. White. I came in dreading the wait of an ER on a weekend. Was triaged and in a room within 10 minutes, seen by the doctor and treated quickly. The staff was completely professional, and extremely friendly. I was more than impressed, and could not be more satisfied. Also one of the most advanced hospitals in the country. Way to go UNM and Sandoval county!

Excellent facility. I had CT, Bone Scan and Liver Biopsy at this hospital. Everything was executed well and efficient. The protocols appeared correct and well followed. I had an expediter assigned to me who moved me through appointments in hours that could have taken days.

Dr Niehaus is a fantastic Doctor...listens to concerns and explains in everyday language and a strong voice which made it easy for me to hear and understand. My overall experience was excellent with dietary and housekeeping as well.

I thought this was going to be a great hospital which I got treated great from the start to almost the end. They were supposed to call my brother that was waiting in the car for me and they didn't maybe it's policy to not out of town calls and they told me that they would call me in a day or two to check on me and again no call. I'm from out of town not everyone is from the 505 area code. I am disappointed in that.

THANK YOU! Took my wife in on Aug 6, 2019...from the Receptionist to the nurses /Doctors...You were Amazing.....Made my wife feel so secure. After having been Missionaries in Africa for 16 years. I guess at times we take our health care in the USA for granted...but in comparison to many other places....We are the Best, second to none. Took my wife to 11 doctors, 5 hospital visits, a specialist who did an Endoscopy to no avail, all in Africa and could not assess that my wife was having a gallbladder issue. With in the first 6 hours at UNMSRMC......lots of testing...people constantly coming in and updating us on what is happening, and what is happening next. My elderly mom fell and had a serious head injury. We went to the ER and they took us right back. From the check-in person to the triage nurse, Dr. Miller and nurse Chris, everyone was caring, compassionate and attentive. They took excellent care of her. Thank to everyone! Where do I start?? I was scheduled for a procedure on 5/22, the insurance paperwork I received with the pre-auth, on 5/18 did not match what Dr. Jeppson and I had discussed was to be the procedure. I was somewhat confused. I made several (like 6) attempts to call the clinic, on 5/19, and speak with someone regarding this? NOBODY ever called me back!!! I finally received a call, on 5/22, when I was already on my way to Albuquerque, as I live 2 hours away...... I was nervous and worried that somebody had made a mistake on the procedure, not a good feeling!!! When I finally got there, I was put at ease by Dr. Jeppson and staff. Procedure went well, stayed the night and staff was very nice. However, something else came up. My family was planning a 3 day trip to Carlsbad, beginning Sunday 6/4. Since I was already 13 days post-op, I really wanted to make this 6 hour drive, but wasn't sure if it would be ok. Again, I called several times to the clinic, for instruction, and clearance. Only to be transferred in circles... To no avail, I did receive a callback from a staff member who couldn't answer the question, "was I ok to travel". Needless to say, very disappointed in staff and the fact that they also stated that they would do a follow-up call when I got home, that never happened! Well, I feel like I am up to this trip, and I hope I don't relapse. So thank you to all who didn't call back!!!!

The entire campus is clean and orderly. Directional signs are clear and understandable. There is interesting artwork to see on various walls. The staff I've interacted with has been helpful and knowledgeable. The 4th floor staff was generally very helpful and responsive. The ER entrance is easy to identify when driving up. The main entrance closes at 9pm, so if you're visiting someone in the main hospital you'll have to go in through the ER entrance.

Every one is phenomenal. Dr. Rai is a tremendous surgeon. He is very knowledgeable. He performed a procedure on me yesterday. I am feeling so much better. He is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. Dr. Singh was incredible too. All the staff in both the ER and ICU were the most caring attentive compassionate staff ever. Gilbert RN in ER. Jason, Rhianna, Melissa, Emily in ICU are just incredible. I've been several times. And each time has truly been positive experiences. I won't go anywhere else. Thank you all for making me feel like I mattered. ************************************* Well updated status. 12/11/17 - I was very happy with the staff UNTIL November 14th. I was scheduled for surgery on Nov 28th. Dr. Rai, my doc was on board and ready to go, he is and always has been super awsome. The other attending physician(who needs to learn from Dr. Rai bedside manner), very different story, very different level of professionalism. He decided to take the day off. Then when they rescheduled, it turns out they rescheduled it on a day that the office is closed. Very incompetent to do so. Now the date they are offering is my birthday, two months after the original date. Are you kidding me?!?! This is costing me a lot of current income due to my only being able to work part-time, and the added expense of all the gauze, dressings, tape, and other assorted supplies needed to get through the day. Everyday this gets put off, I go further into debt. And the worst part? The staff "apologizes for any inconvenience ". How patronizing. An inconvenience is your food being wrong. An inconvenience is knocking on your neighbor's door asking for a jump start on your car. An inconvenience is having to walk an extra aisle or two in the parking lot because it's full. I am so angry I have not answered their calls to reschedule. I do not wish to say anything I will regret. I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY!

I came into the ER and the care I've received in just the few first minutes was shocking compared to the way presbyterian treats their patients. The staff was kind and were actually sincere and cared about what was going on rather than blowing me off. They didn't just ignore my family that brought me. They did everything to make me as comfortable as possible and treated me like an actual human being rather than a number. I'm completely switched. Screw presbyterian UNM is now my home hospital. They even offered my daughter graham crackers and juice I've never been treated so well at a hospital in NM in my life. The level of care here was shocking.

Very great service and great staff they were very helpful and friendly. I am extremely happy with it and I feel alot better and the medicine will continue working . If I could give more stars I would. Just had surgey and from the time I checked at the front desk till release from surgery. Everyone one I came in contact with was amazing caring and professional. Surgery is a scary thing but all that went away when I was in the surgery department . Great job everyone you are awesome.

Recently my daughter had a febrile seizure and had to be taken to this hospital by ambulance, we got Dr. Wiks, (I'm almost certain that's how you spell it) Was a male doctor he was great! The best one I've ever seen here! He really did seem to go above and beyond for my baby Asia. Thank you Dr. Wiks for being such a good doctor to my baby who was very sick and scared. I don't know if this is even possible but it's worth a shot, if you ever have to go to the emergency room here, if you're able to request yourself or have someone request Dr. Wiks for you. Thank you to the nurses as well who were kind I appreciate everything you do.

SRMC is the future of healthcare! I just began seeing Kay Garman, CFNP in their team of primary care professionals. I called for an appointment on Monday and as a new patient was seen on that following Wednesday! When I called presbyterian medical center they said they couldn't see me for almost two months. First of all, a nice front desk attendant escorted me to the third floor to make sure I found the primary care area. Then the Medical Assistant (Alicia I believe) was incredibly nice and very professional. Kay Garman was very helpful, kind, and answered all of my questions. This hospital was just incredible they have excellent hours for primary care and treat you like a person rather than just a hypochondriac or a dollar sign. I would definitely recommend this place.

My brother was admitted to the ER and subsequently to the hospital. While his care appeared adequate, without my advocacy his care would have been sub par. The doctor was going to release my brother, although he was unable to function physically on his own. We just happened to be present when his gastroenterologist was visiting and after discussing his condition with her, she requested (through his doctor) that they have a physical therapist evaluate him. Upon evaluation he was found to be too weak to function on his own and was transferred to a physical rehab center. What happens to patients who don't have an advocate?

Nice individuals but it's a big medicine facility and I always felt like a number rather than a person. Very crowded all the time. I recommend you stay away and don't do business in Rio Rancho. The city makes money with speed and stop-light cameras. Don't support a city that makes its revenue that way.

My PCP (Aaron Skiles) is at SCMF and I've traveled 30 miles One-Way From Abq. to SCMF atleast once a month, every month, just to see and experience this Doctor and his crew.These people are really nice and professional.
