I’ve been tending to an ingrown toenail that just recently started showing signs of infection, so I made the choice to come to the professionals to have it seen. From the moment I walked into that building the kind ladies at the front promptly assisted me and got me the paperwork to fill out (which wasn’t too bad at all as a first time patient) and the kind assistant that helped me once I was taken back was SO AWESOME! I didn’t catch her name, but she had pretty purple scrubs, was so friendly and helped me feel less anxious. Dr. Jason Dunn saw me moments later and immediately made me feel better about the state of my toe. He was very friendly, informative and GENTLE with my already tender foot. I had no pain while he assessed my condition and he was very patient with my arsenal of questions. I’d love for him to be my doctor if I have to come back again, but after my visit with him I feel like we will get this resolved. I feel a THOUSAND times better now than I did yesterday, so thank you so much for this stellar experience team of Foot & Ankle Specialists of New Mexico!

Dr. Kobos was absolutely amazing! I was seen within 48 hours of my Achilles tendon rupture and scheduled for surgery on the spot. I saw Dr Kobos today and I think I made her mad! I have proceeded to really mess up , my ingrown toenails on all 10 toes! And I needed help imeditately and not ER! I'd never get back there! I called and got in 4 days! The receptionist were so sweet! My MA was Zee 👍! Thx ! Dr Kobos entered n said, what have you done? I'm a newly diabetic, and for my safety, she couldn't do much! She took care of my worst one, 2 ND diget. And I promised to let them heal, so she can do something about it in 3 weeks! I want them all removed permanently, I've been doing this since school, sports 100 years ago! I've seen other Drs up north, and they always helped me till the next time! I agree with her decision and I promised her I would not touch them again till they heal. Diabetes is not a joke! As much as I begged her. She made a good call. 👍Thx Dr Kobos! I will see you soon. Wasn't busy, got in right after I got done with my paperwork! All staff was extremely Nice 👍! I was so nervous, for nothing, nothing was done! I really wanted some more done, but, Drs call!!! Diabetes S****!!! Listen when they tell you that you are borderline!! My bad!

The office visit was good, but Dr. Wrege ordered a blood test. I went for it that afternoon, but 4 days later had not yet gotten results to tell me if if I had an infection. I called the office several times on day 4 and finally connected with assistant Kyle, who kindly searched the lab website to find my results and call me with them. I'd like to see the office more proactive about communicating lab test results to patients.

I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment and before I could fill out all the paperwork to update my file, Dr. Kubos was ready to see me. I told her my problem, a cactus spine in the sole of my R foot that likely had been there for months, she lanced the point of entry, squeezed out the inflammatory residue that had been accumulating, dressed the minor wound and I was on my way home in less than 15 minutes. Quick, efficient, very pleasant experience with Dr. Kubos. Thank you!

Dr Kobos was great. Very personable. She answered my questions, explained plan of care and its rationale clearly. Takes her time with you. Do arrive early as they ask, to fill out paperwork for initial visits. Doc runs pretty much on time. Office staff very nice. Definitely recommend.

My appointment with Dr. Frame was good. I realized that the bunion pad needs to be on bottom of toe area to work better. I gave a 4 star because I had a nail trim. A couple of toes were cut really short and my toes hurt a few days. Also the trim was jagged and uneven. I would not get another one.

Over the past 15 years, I've experienced diabetic complications with both my feet. Dr Frame definitely is the absolute best doctor I've had in all those 15 years. I became his client after moving to NM last year. He truly cares about his clients. Very knowledgeable in both medical procedures and personal interaction with his clients/patients. I know in advance his plans, and he takes my concerns and points of view into consideration when making his decisions. Definitely the best I've had in the whole 15 years. Dr. Kobos was great! I will return if I need follow up care. The front office and medical assistant folks were...neutral. They didn't do anything wrong. They were professional, but they weren't friendly and welcoming by a long shot. Cheerless, not cheerful. It seemed to be a very busy office. I assume those folks just don't have it to give anymore.

I recently had a tendon lengthening surgery done by Dr. Frame and it went well, however, the communication within the Juan Tabo office is horrible! Voicemails don’t get returned in a timely manner, portal messages don’t get addressed, etc. This issue occurs repeatedly and is ridiculous! Good health care, but communication with patients needs improvement.

This was my first experience with this practice and I found it to be thoroughly professional, caring, and educational. The appointment process was quick and I was able to secure a consultation in an extremely timely manner (contrary to a 2 month or more wait at other practices). The check in protocol followed the current Covid-19 safety practices, and I felt secure in the waiting area which was very aired out in terms of people spacing. Dr. Wrege came highly recommended and he lived up to his reputation. I needed to be seen asap, Foot and Ankle was able to see me within the week. Dr. Dodder was my doctor, he was very kind and thorough. We tried a steroid shot after X-rays and ultrasound showed excessive swelling in my metatarsal area. This was all done on the same day. I have had to return for follow-on treatment and have been impressed with the time taken to explain my options.

I’m more floored that she threw him under the bus and that no one is available to follow up with me for a week because they are short staffed. I was referred to Dr. Frame by a podiatrist who determined that I needed surgery to correct a painful bunion. His initial assessment was that surgery was the best course of action. For personal scheduling reasons, I couldn’t go forward for over 6 months, but it was not a problem for him or his staff. The surgery went smoothly, and the recovery process went quite smoothly. I like his friendly, professional approach and his staff are so kind and personable. Dr's office was my very first visit. Newest Covid 19 precautions were in place. After passing that ritual, I was taken into the main office where I filled out 8 pages of HIPPA-related docs. That being completed, I then saw the doctor. Doctor was smooth, gentle, and he explained to me what the etiology was for my wart- protruding right little toe. He put in a temporary fix-non-surgical-that provided good relief. He advised me that should his " fix " not solve my issue, then some minor surgical intervention would be necessary. I was extremely satisfied with his fix. I can now walk naturally. This may work. Good podiatric intervention!! ~Kahlil

Dr. Dodder is an exceptional surgeon. He performed surgery on my right foot February 2016 and it has healed properly; the surgery was a success. I have every reason and confidence that the surgery he performed on my left foot two weeks ago will also be successful. Dr. Marshall is excellent. Within seconds of first meeting him, he already started examining my feet. He wasn't shy about immediately getting his hands dirty. That's especially important in a podiatrist - I've found that other providers sometimes spend too long TALKING with a patient and going in circles instead of actually CHECKING and TREATING them. Dr. Marshall was willing to give me a steroid shot for my swelling within 15 minutes of discussing it, even though it was my first ever visit here. I thought I'd have to come back to this facility for a later, separate appointment to get the injection, but they did it in the same hour! I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

Even though it was just a more common fracture Dr. Frame explained how it typically happens and what to expect in healing. He answered all my questions. Good attentive staff, followup appointment was an x-ray in office to see how things had healed. As predicted by Dr. Frame I was 95% healed and ready to ditch the boot. It seems like every visit to FASNM is better than the last. It had been longer than i usually go between appointments, yet I am greeted as warmly as if they saw me yesterday. I had a new Tech(maybe he is a nurse) and you can tell it is a priority that they hire people with both great skill and great personality. Dr. Dodder seems more like a friend you run into a few times a year and pick up right where you left off. I always get a sense that he is truly emotionally vested in my care. Always referencing with great accuracy the history of his care for me. I always go out of my way to recommend FASNM. i work for a small business and was not at all shocked to hear a co-worker going on about how great they are at FASNM. I truly wish i didn't have the ailments that require me to go there, but since I can't change that it gives me and my wife the utmost in confidence that i will always be greatly cared for at FASNM, thanks guys!

Update: I have been a patient of Dr. Kobos for over two years, with chronic arthritis and diabetic complications to both my feet. I plan to have corrective surgery after I have a cervical stenosis issue solved. Foot and Ankle Specialists have my vote for the most professionally run facility of its type I have ever used. Appointments and reminders are booked courteously and efficiently. The professional and support staff pitch in to make certain patients are not left hanging in the waiting room or treatment rooms. The cheerful attitude among the staff I have observed makes visits pleasant and positive. Dr. Kobos is the most attentive and engaged Podiatrist I have ever met, and, unfortunately, I have met quite a few. She wants to treat her diabetic and foot injury patient before a limb threatening infection. She told me “if you find blood in your sock, I want to see you the next day.” She meant it! I opened a blister with new shoes, and she saw me the next day. Dr. Kobos has my enthusiastic recommendation!

As a physician for 22 years, I can tell when I'm in the presence of a competent clinician. Dr. Dodder did a thorough and compassionate evaluation of my left ankle pain and with the skillful use of ultrasound came up with a diagnosis of synovitis, also reassuring me in the process that I had no serious ankle pathology responsible for my pain. He gave me the option of coming back for a steroid injection, and when I chose that option a few days later, I was given a prompt appointment and received a nearly painless steroid injection that reduced my pain about 95%, including improving dramatically my ability to perform my favorite athletic activities. The staff was caring and competent as well. I am going to start referring patients to Foot and Ankle Specialists immediately; I only wish I'd known about this practice years ago!

Had struggled with Plantar Fasciiatis for nearly a year and injections had not helped. Dr. Steven Wrege did a plantar Fasciia release surgery that had taken care of it.
