I have tried so many salons around the River towns and decided to give this place a try. Stephanie was amazing- she listened and was careful to make the experience exactly what I asked for. She was kind and very talented- I left feeling beautiful! Samar was very kind and welcoming as well. It is a small business so you really get treated with care and respect. I will certainly be going back and recommend it above all other salons.

Had the pleasure of having my hair done by Samar for the first time and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She pays so much attention to detail and the color came out exactly how I wanted. I was not sure what style I wanted, but Samar has a gift for envisioning a style that truly matches your face. I have never been so satisfied with the results at a hair salon. I also got keratin treatment done and my hair feels amazing. The service was unmatched. Samar has such a great presence and makes you feel comfortable. I will be coming back soon!

Got a haircut from Samar and I very much enjoyed it. The haircut came out great and she was also very friendly and sweet. I came in without much of an idea of what I wanted and she did a great job walking me through what she thought would look good. I definitely recommend this stylist if you're a man with longer hair, since that is what I have.

I have had two great experiences with Samar at Hastings Beauty salon. the salon is small but nicely appointed; parking is convenient. My previous stylist a year ago, and I kind of let my hair go during the pandemic -- twice Samar has fixed the mess, and has given me an attractive, easy to manage hair style at a very reasonable price. She is a lovely person, who is very efficient -- I was in and out very quickly.

I recently got a half-head of highlights done by Samar and let me just start by saying my hair came out amazing! It's difficult to find someone good with blondes in NY, but Samar exceeded my expectations. Not only did she listen to what I asked for (which was very blonde), but she went out of her way to make sure my hair maintained its health. She was able to fit me in last minute before the holidays and I couldn't be happier. I definitely found my new go to person for all of my hair needs.

Great new salon and a welcome addition to Hastings. A fresh new space, serious about covid precautions, and truly genuine hospitality (you'll probably be offered a glass of wine or a chocolate on entering.) The owner Samar is well-versed in both classic and contemporary styles - her particular strength is finding the right cut to suit your face and maintenance needs. I don't know how she envisions a new cut from a shaggy, grown-out old mess, but it's really a wonder. Strong attention to detail, real scissor skills - surpassing other salons that charge 2x and 3x as much. If you're looking to freshen up your hair or try something new, get a consult and cut here - with a real expert who can give you choices and an outcome you're thrilled with.

Samar takes her time to explain her process, really listens, and makes sure you leave her salon happy AND with healthy hair! She was able to correct my color that was damaged from another salon and bring it back to life!! Beyond thankful for her service!
