I have long red hair and wanted it permed (out of style, yeah, I know...) I went numerous places and was either turned down because my hair was too long and they claimed it would take too much time or was quoted $400+! I reached out to Reid and he instantly took on the challenge. (though it was absolutely no challenge to him!) Great hours, great prices, great conversation... I unfortunately moved out of the area but Reid took care of me for years and I can not praise him enough. Don't look any further. He will instantly become your go-to guy!

Both Reid and Annette are very talented stylists! They are personable and communicate with you to make sure you look your best! Their prices are reasonable and their suite is beautiful! Theres a convenient parking garage so you’ll never have to risk walking back to your car in the rain.

Went for a haircut, it was good. The only thing I would change is that I felt a little blindsided by the process. I don’t go to salons very often in the US, but usually they tell you if they were going to upcharge you or something. I went expecting a $40 service but was charged $65, I had anticipated to tip $15 in the first place so my charge ended at $80. I didn’t know blow drys aren’t included in haircuts, I thought she just needed it to see if my hair needed more of a trim. I don’t know, :( the people were nice but at the end I look exactly the same as I came in, but down $80.

I received a great haircut from Reid at The Break Room. I visited for the first time and have every reason to return. The online reservation system was easy to use and Reid even followed up beforehand to let me know he had earlier appointments available if I wanted. Reid gives personalized attention and I appreciated that he took his time. Reid has good energy!

I’m an out of state college student so I was nervous going to a new salon but I can’t recommend it enough. It’s small, clean and super personable!

I have gone to other places before but noone ever seems to figure out the way I like my hair. I've been coming to Reid for 9 years now and every time I come he does exactly what I ask for. My highlights are always flawless. I always get a lot of compliments on them. Reid is the highlight master no doubt!

The space is in a nice building and is incredibly clean. Buddy Brew Coffee downstairs in the lobby so you can grab it before or after your appointment too!

Great haircut at a great price. Since moving to Tampa from a small town where i could walk in and ask for my usual cut, I've tried to find a quality, reliable barber. After several visits to various Great Clips and Super Cuts with average results, i tried The Break Room on my lunch break. I scheduled a same day appointment online, which was a huge convenience. I showed up and Reid did a fantastic job! The best haircut I've gotten in Tampa over the past five years. Great service and great quality, and the time it took fit well within my lunch hour. I will be a repeat customer and have already referred friends and coworkers.

Great Cut and Reasonable price !! I live in Downtown and my fiance had hard time to find a good haircut for him and also the hair salon I used to go charge $75 for trim or hair cut so I get it done whenever I go to CA. I tried it I am happy with outcome. and I took him to try and he likes it. We are so glad to find this place. It's easy to make reservation on line and they open late so it works perfect for me and him to go after work on weekdays.

Jessee Ward is an absolutely INCREDIBLE hair stylist. Before he moved to Florida he was the ONLY person I trusted to touch my hair. He honestly should be doing hair for the stars. He always layered my hair to the Gods and gave my hair new life with my highlights. His coloring techniques are advanced and his cutting skills cannot be beat. And he can do it ALL. I could not be more pleased with my cut, color, and blow dry! Reid was amazing. I have a ton of hair and even though he had to mix extra color when 8oz wasn’t enough, he never let it get him down. He was an absolute rock star and nailed the shade. I’m so pleased with my cut and color, I truly cannot recommend this salon more highly.

Reid did a great job on my hair cut and all over color. I wanted a change from my platinum blonde but didn’t want to go too dark—this is a great next step toward looking and feeling more natural! The color is slightly lighter that my natural roots, so the new style gives an illusion of shadow roots which is beautiful. My hair is SO soft and Reid was eager to get creative. Thank you! The Break Room is on the 6th floor of the BB&T Building which initially was a little confusing. You have to walk through the main double door entrance before using the elevators to go upstairs.

*****Won't find a better price in S Tampa to get an awesome haircut. Owner operated, and he his clearly passionate about cutting/styling hair. I drive an hour to have him cut my hair, because I am so picky. Don't waste your $$$ going to other S Tampa high priced salons.
