I had the honor of having Katie style my bridesmaids and my own hair on my wedding day and I could not have been more thrilled with what an amazing job she did! We were all so surprised with how quickly but efficiently she works along with how gorgeous everyone's hair looked!! Even after getting completely poured on later in the night my hair still held up and I continued to receive compliments until the next day!!! Thank you so much for all that you do and helping me look beautiful on my wedding day!! I highly recommend balance salon spa and Katie for all of your event styling needs!!

Everyone there is always in such great spirits and and the guest can definitely feel it. I have never in my 8 years of going to the salon had a bad experience. It is really a beautiful salon and many renovations has been made throughout the years. Such a beautiful place with great staff! From the moment I checked in with Sam, I was greeted with fantastic customer service. Maddie then took the time to truly learn what I wanted and we made a decision together as to what would look best with my hair texture and thickness. After a fun color block and hair trim, she took the time to teach me how to style my curls in a way that I've never been taught before! I really recommend this place for anyone local to the USF area.

My entire experience at Balance was wonderful. The front desk staff was friendly upon arrival. I sipped some delicious hot Aveda tea as I waited for Clarissa, who went above and beyond throughout my entire visit. I’ve been looking to get my hair cut and colored for awhile. My long hair, even though it is a frizzy and stringy mess, has been my baby for years. I’ve opted to not get color and cuts due to previous disaster like experiences at other salons. Clarissa was so in tune with what I wanted and made suggestions that I hadn’t even thought of. She made me feel calm, at ease, and relaxed throughout my entire experience. My hair turned out absolutely amazing. The salon was clean and pristine. Everyone was hard at work, yet still had a smile on their face. I haven’t felt this good in years. Clarissa made this tired mom feel 10 years younger within a few hours! I told Clarissa at the beginning of our session that I wanted to “feel alive” again and wow, did she deliver! Clarissa gave me the best haircut and balayage color experience I’ve ever had. She is a true master of her craft. I’d give 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend this salon for their friendliness and cleanliness and Clarissa for her professionalism, expertise, and positive vibe.

I have never had a bad experience here. The staff are all great and friendly. You can tell they know what they're talking about, because every time they cut my hair they say something about my "texture" and "growth pattern." - I'll be honest, I have no idea what any of that means, but it sounds good. Madi and Katie have both done my hair. They're both cool, Katie talks about working out and Madi wears purple boots- which I am super into. Sam and Alli at the desk are both great, they put up with my chaotic schedule and try to find me the times that work best for appointments. Plus they let me eat the mints from the bowl. Big fan overall, definitely would recommend!

I got my hair styled by Nina and I am very happy with the result. She was very informative and friendly. I was not entirely sure what I wanted to do with my hair when I went in, but she quickly helped me figure out what change I wanted to make. She did a wonderful job, I love how my hair looks and feels. I have visited this salon before and had Madison as a stylist. She is also friendly and does a wonderful job! Every visit has been a positive experience, I would definitely recommend this salon!

I have been going to Carlos at Balance salon for about 10 years, I have never been disappointed. I always get compliments on my hair color. He is the color expert in my opinion. My monthly visit usually takes 2-3 hours so I get to see people come and go, and they all look marvelous, every stylist there is very talented. Carlos is meticulous in selecting his stylist. He takes his time when cutting your hair to make sure every strand is perfect. This shop is the only place I completely trust.

Based on the wonderful reviews for Clarissa, I booked a haircut appointment for my long hair. She was absolutely phenomenal. She started by getting a detailed history of my hair to understand it’s needs and then asked about exactly what I wanted and made recommendations on how to make it look best. The shampoo service includes a lovely massage and hot towel. She styled it beautifully and gave me exactly what I wanted. New customers get $20 off their first service, which was a nice bonus! I highly recommend giving Balance a try!

I just moved to Tampa and I needed a hair cut. My previous salon was also an Aveda salon so I knew what to expect coming into the appointment. Nina was my hair stylist. She was very personable and she made sure to explain the products she was using on me. I came in wanting a couple inches off and after she finished cutting my hair before she blow dried and styled my hair I asked her if she could cut a little more. She said “absolutely!” and continued to trim my hair until I was completely satisfied. Balance salon met my expectations and I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone needs a hair cut.

Clarissa did an amazing job! I had never been to this place before, and anytime I go to a new salon to get my hair done, I get bad anxiety. Clarissa however completely put my fears at ease. She was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable in what she was doing. She would explain everything she did to my hair, going into detail about what the result would look like. She put a lot of time, effort, and care into her work, and it really made me feel like she truly cares about the customer, not the money. Highly recommend this place for its nice atmosphere and clarissa for her amazing skills.

I love Balance Salon, but I love it even more now! Lorraine has been doing my hair for a few years now, and I am always so appreciative about how she listens to what I want and makes it happen. Recently my children needed haircuts. Usually we do it at home or take them to Supercuts, but I decided to take them to Balance Salon. Carlos cut my son's (age 7) hair and made it look so cool! My son was thrilled and has been so happy since! Lorraine cut my daughter's (age 11) hair and my daughter left feeling incredibly confident with her new look. I also really appreciated the precautions they took to help my family feel safe to get our hair cut during a pandemic. I cannot reiterate enough how grateful I am to Carlos and Lorraine for all that they did for my family! Thank you!

After weeks of research, I decided to go to Balance Salon and Spa. I called and was cheerfully greeted by a wonderful receptionist who got me in that day! Clarissa was my stylist and I have to say that she is one of the most thorough and and talented stylists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She took her time and explained the entire process to me and allowed me to give her feed back about exactly what I wanted. She is very sweet and funny and easy to talk to. It was truly a pleasure to sit in her chair and let her make my hair absolutely beautiful. I am 100% pleased with my entire experience. The Aveda Salon experience is unlike any other. I came in for the first time a few days ago for a trim and to get my brows done. Madison did an awesome job with my long hair. She was super sweet and took her time with my hair and it looked perfect when she was done with it! I’m very particular about my brows but she listened to me and kept them nice and thick, while still looking clean. Also love the fact that they’re open a little later on Friday.

Myself and my family have come to this salon for many years. Carlos (the owner) is a fantastic guy, and is very helpful and talented. Marsha does a great job, probably the best hair cuts I have ever received. The staff as a whole is very friendly. Water and other drinks are offered when visiting as well. Nina was amazing and did such an incredible job! I decided to use blonde box dye to get through covid, which resulted in orange roots and damaged hair. I came into the salon with orange hair, and came out with a lovely, ashy platinum! By far the best my hair has ever looked and felt. This is the place you want to be if you are as picky as I am about my haircut and especially color! I've now decided that, after having been here a few times, I NEVER leave disappointed! Ever! Before each visit, my appointment date & time are automatically reminded well in advance to my cell phone calendar; I've never been kept waiting; they use the most wonderful AVEDA products on you & your hair, the music is great AND they offer red & white wine; coffee, tea or filtered water in elegant glassware. They make my visit comfortable, happy & I always leave relaxed while feeling absolutely beautiful!I It's such a pleasant atmosphere and experience. Marcia does my hair & she has a bubbly attitude, wearing a perfectly polished rich shade of red lipstick along with a glowing smile. Do I like this place? Absolutely! Would I recommend Balance Spa? This is the first salon I've tried since I moved to Tampa and I love it! Jason was my hairdresser and did such a good job (especially considering my hair was a mess when I got there). He listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure I left feeling great about the haircut. You get a luxury experience for a really good price and they always have tons of deals going on. Bottom line: I will definitely be going back!

Perfect! Clarissa listened to me and gave me exactly the haircut I wanted. She did a fantastic balayage highlight painted foil and pixie cut that looked very natural and flattering. My hair is not the easiest to work with, but it was clear Clarissa had the experience to handle it. The price is a little steep, but that goes for all good Aveda salons in Tampa Bay. I will definitely be back.
