I love this location on S. Jackson, plenty of parking. It’s a lovely, comfortable salon. Lily and the rest of the staff are so great, skilled and willing to provide guidance to help this mom learn how to properly maintain my bi-racial daughters hair. Great trims and twist outs for a protective style that gives us a bit of a break for a few weeks. 😊 Can’t recommend Textures enough.

Wow, Lily just gave me the best curly men’s haircut I’ve ever had. I’ve struggled for years to find people who know how to take care of my hair and who are knowledgeable and educational . Having my fair share of cuts where people tell me they know how to cut curly but then proceed to bomb it, I was skeptical at first But Lily paid attention to everything I had to say before starting, then she explained every step of the process to me, and educated me on my hair care in a way I really needed, it turned out better than I hoped and I walked out knowing new options for styling my hair I’m so happy to have found this place, I now have my new reliable go-to Thank you !

Lily is extremely talented and experienced with all type of hair texture and styles. I've been bringing my 15-yr-old daughter to Lily for over 5 years. She has very thick, fine, curly hair as you can see from the before picture here. Lily has done flat-iron, cornrows, box braids, weaves....pretty much every style imaginable in these 5 years. And they are always so professional and so beautiful on my daughter. Lily's ability and her skill with hair is unmatched, no matter what ethnicity or hair type you have. Love you Lily!

Being an African American Male I’m very very picky about who touches my hair. I have been going to Lily since I was getting cornrows and she is fire when it come to that. She can do just about any cornrow style you can think of. I was literally NEVER disappointed. A couple years ago I decided to loc my hair and of course Lily started my locs from the beginning and still does them to this day. My hair has grown so fast because she has taught me how to take care of my locs. She has colored them many times and she does really cool locs styles as well. Many people compliment my hair often and it makes me proud to say that Lily or Chantel at Texture Salon does my hair and they can teach you how to take good care of ethnic hair no matter the season.

New to Seattle from Houston and very particular about my hair... especially as a natural curly hair black woman. I'm so glad my sister found Lily. She is amazing and took real time to assess my hair health and a plan to grow and strengthen it. She was also very kind, understanding hair loss for many women is such a scary thing. She knows her stuff and made excellent recommendations for restoring my hair to fully glory and protective styles. I actually hadn't worn my hair without a sew in for years and even though it's very fine, I left feeling so gorg and confident🥰. It's just beautiful. Just got my hair cut & colored by Patrick. Left happy as can be!! I was looking to add a patch of light/blond color to my dark died hair and he made sure to lift & die my hair to keep my curls happy & healthy. He also does a great job helping me find products to support healthy curls in between visits. He just helped me grow out a short cut I did on myself (covid times had me acting out) with a micro link install that I loved!! Patrick is definitely my go to for all things hair.

I just left the salon and I am soooo happy! I have 3c/4a hair and as long as I have been natural I have struggled to get a good hair cut. Like a lot of Black women I struggle with letting go of my length but I understand in the long run it’s better for you. This was the detailed attention cut I needed. My hair is shorter but I love the shape and feel so confident that I can meet my hair goals (to have curls big enough to block my haters lolz) under the care of an excellent stylist. If you are new to Seattle and looking for a good quality curly cut this where you should book!

All Things

Great location, great prices, plus a warm and welcoming space. My timelines was appreciated and I appreciated not having to wait. Lilly could be great with course hair someday, but she doesn’t know what she doesn’t know. It was hard to convince her that I know what works and does not work with my hair type. From what I experienced, and from the pics online, her expertise is probably more with the not so course, or coiled, soft hair types. That said, depending on your hair type and needs, I would recommend with hesitation.

I had my type 4 haïr straightened. Patrick does great work. However, he is probably the least personable stylist I’ve ever had (and I’m not a talker). Very odd experience.

I have type 2 and 3 hair which is always makes getting the right hair cut challenging. Thank avoid haircuts because they had always cut me uneven and/or too short. I took a gamble with Lily at Texture and I am so happy I did! She does this “deva (sp?)” cut and takes the time to verify the cut length before wash, after wash and at styling. It’s so wonderful to get my hair done and be happy with it coming out of the salon, as opposed to having to fix it when I get home and wait for it to grow out. Salon is clean and modern, with fairly good street parking and very nice staff.

This salon is in a convenient and safe area. The prices are very reasonable and I always return home with my hair in better condition and looking marvelous. Lily is acommadating and knowledge if you every need advice regarding your hair type.

I should have explained more of what i wanted and that is my fault. I did show a picture of the previous length that i wanted but i think i just messed up in saying I wanted it to be even with the sides. Im sad its so short and i feel like i have a grandma haircut . And i just eventually wanted it even on the sides. But she was super nice definitely my fault.

I’ve been Lili’s client for two years. So excited to see she opens her own salon and it looks so nice! I’m an Asian and have very thick hair, so when I moved back to Seattle, I know I need to find a hair stylist who knows how to cut Asian hair and that’s how I found Lili. She is beyond knowing how to work on Asian hair, also she will design the style and give suggestions base on your face shape, hair texture, etc. She is fun and friendly, also very informational. I’m black—type 4a hair. Came in with my hair natural and frizzy. Chantel shampooed, blew out, and flat ironed my hair. She gave me a trim too, didn’t take off too much. Definitely go to Texture if you have curly/coily hair. I found my new regular salon!

after not having my locs maintained for a while due to covid my locs were in need of some real help. i went in for an appt with lilly and she worked her magic. had my locs looking fresh again. i will be back
