Stop going to hairdressers that need you to tell them what to do or want a picture for inspiration. You deserve better. Jedediah takes time to know you, your hair, how much effort you want to exert caring for it, and how attached you are to your comfort zone. He’s at his best when I give him only slightest hints of guidance. “I’m loving the fall leaves,” and he weaves strands of gold, copper, and vibrant red. “We need to brighten things up,” and he creates an asymmetrical cut and multi-dimensional blonde. “You only live once,” and suddenly I’m brilliant blue and platinum. He’s the expert so I trust I will leave looking and feeling my very best. I always do.

Jed was super welcoming and I had an awesome experience at his salon. I had very long, thick hair and had never had a styled cut before (in the past I just got the bottom few inches trimmed or cut off the length, which still felt super heavy because of how thick my hair is). I went to Jed looking for something new and for advice on what would look good and work well with my fair type. He asked me about my hair, what I was looking for and about my lifestyle. He’s the first stylist who has helped me design a new, exciting style based on my hair and preferences. I came out with an beautiful new cut that feels so light and airy. His cut really made my super thick hair feel less weighed down. I’d definitely recommend Jed’s salon, especially for a layered, feathery cut!

Jedediah was so nice and willing to work with me even though I didnt know what I wanted. I came in for a consultation first where he worked with me to figure out what would be a good look for me (I had pretty long hair that had never really been cut or styled). He was very patient and understanding that I did not know alot about haircuts/styles and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. A couple days later I came in for a haircut where Jedediah gave me the best haircut of my life and exactly like what I had imagined after our consultation ended. If you want your significant other to drop their jaw at you, let this man work his magic on you. I have never received this many compliments on a haircut before and I will definitely be coming back here.

I visited Salon Mérite with the hopes that Jedidiah could help fix a haircut I had just gotten that was, truthfully, devastatingly bad. He understood immediately what I had been going for and where my previous stylist had gone awry, and somehow salvaged the wreckage SO WELL that I walked out feeling amazing. I want to preface this with the fact that I had never gone to a nice salon before today. I decided to try out a nice place after graduating college and landing a nice big girl job and I am really happy I wound up going here. The salon is beautiful (and full of pretty plants!!) and Jedediah is so knowledgeable and helpful. I do not know much about hair, so my approach was to just go in and tell him the few things that I was hoping for. I trusted his recommendations (which included bangs, something I never would have picked for myself!) and I'm so glad I did!! This is my fifth time going to Salon Mérite and I have yet to be disappointed. I came here with very boring long hair and Jedediah gave me a Balayage that was absolutely brilliant and layered my hair in a way I have never seen done before. I have not wanted to go somewhere else after that first experience. I have always had a good experience here. The salon is very cute and has many products that are very nice to buy and have become a part of my hair care collection. Jedediah has always listened to my wants and given my good advice as to how my hair would look best when I’m confused. It truly changed my perspective on what a good, personalized haircut looks like. I don’t plan to stop coming here at anytime because I know I will always be satisfied with any haircut I get here.

Jed has been my hairdresser for 10+ years. I would follow him anywhere. I have difficult curly thin fine hair. Now my hair is gone gray, and changing texture...thinning, too. Jed just made me look 15 years younger today. The man is a master, and I am so happy he has his own salon now! The atmosphere is relaxed and so intimate. Plus, for a downtown salon...parking is easy to find, and free. (I did go in the morning) Highly highly highly recommend.

Scheduled an appointment with Jed to get a haircut ahead of my wedding. I didn't really know what I wanted, so Jed sat down with me and helped me work it all out. My cut turned out great! I looked fantastic for my wedding, and weeks later I'm still very happy with it. I'm using a little more product (pomade, tonic, etc.), but managing my hair is SO much easier now than it was before. Jedidiah is a Jedi: fully understood the essence of my hair desires, even though I was unable to describe it. Charismatic and analytical Supreme at his craft - takes bone structures into consideration. Kept the length, and added style. On top of all that he fixed the baseline I came in with. Clearly understands 3 dimensional space. He then recommended a much needed clarifying shampoo, and gave me a sample. Long Versatile Can play around with part Complimentary to bone structure. It’s always tough finding a new hair stylist, but I made an appointment with him based on reviews I had read, and it’s been a match made in heaven since. He listens to what vision I have for my hair, whether a new cut or color, and makes that vision a reality. Jedediah is also honest and let’s me know if something I want is not doable or talks to me about modifications to get it close to what I was hoping for. He keeps up on hair trends, products and techniques, which I really appreciate since I’m always looking for something new and fun to do with my hair. Jedidiah was so accommodating and fantastic! I only had Sunday available and he fit me into his schedule even though the Salon is usually closed on Sundays. I wanted wispy bangs and I've never gotten anything close to this kind of style before. He did an excellent job and I could not be more happy with how it turned out. Today was my first session with Jedediah, and I am BEYOND thrilled with the results. We took a few minutes at the beginning of my session to discuss style and hair goals, and Jed said he had the perfect idea for a style that would transform my look.
