Eric has been cutting my hair there for quite some time and he is AMAZING, I would give him 10 starts if I could. Highly recommend. Very personable, attentive to detail and all around a sweetheart. My most recent cut is probably the best I have ever had, even girls have been hitting on me. 😜 Only drawback, the service at the desk could definitely be better. I was recently over charged for a product that I never purchased at the time of the appointment and the service experience I received from said manager was less to be desired for a refund, I will still leave this 5 star review though. Definitely worth the hassle to see my darling Eric.

wow- I saw steph today and I’m never going back to bougie overpriced women’s hair salons. She gave me a dry cut for $52 and it was way better than any of the other cuts I’ve had for upwards of $120. She’s the daughter of a hairdresser and has been doing this for 20+ years. Go to Rudy’s and see Stephanie- you won’t regret it!

Eric is my go-to guy here and has been for almost two years. It’s hard to find a stylist that treats you more than just another customer. Eric gets my somewhat difficult hair (two cowlicks in strange places and an uncommon hairline) he knows what I’m looking for and I trust him to make sure I look professional yet cute 🥰. I’ve been getting my haircut here by Katie for the last 4+ years. Always clean, great and varied tunes playing, and, before the pandemic, they would always offer a drink while you waited your turn. Since the pandemic they’ve gone to great lengths to stay safe and still cut your hair. The haircut itself is also, of course, great. I’m pretty simple with only a limited taste for experimentation, but I’m always satisfied with the cut. Great job!

I showed a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like, knowing it wouldnt look exact because my hair was darker, but Patrick did it EXACTLY. He managed to do it perfectly it was amazing. Fantastic spot for a hair cut. Downtown can be a pricy place to get a trim in general, but Bishops has a fair price and the service is great. Cole is fantastic, he really takes the time to get to know you and your hair (and in the before times.. the best beard trim I’ve had). He’s talented (both at the hair cut and conversation), and the only barber I’ve ever thought “I need to make sure I get this guy every time”.

Updated review 7/25/2020: Bishop's is very clean, professional, and friendly. Steven was very welcoming, kind, and very talented. A few things to note for those looking for an informative review. They do handle all textures. (Those with asian hair, don't be afraid.) Their sign says "barbershop" but they are a fully talented "hair shop" as they say. All genders, hair textures, hair colors, blowouts and things. They're able to do it all. If you have any complaints I highly suggest reaching out to the shop again. they're so helpful, responsive, and encouraging to help you feel your most confident. After my initial review, they reached out and Steven offered to make any changes to address complaints I originally had, and ultimately addressed all of them. Their attention to their customers and professionalism in addressing any complaints really earns them a glistening 5 star review. The pricing is definitely better than other salons around the area. I felt reassured and valued, and will be coming back to Bishop's again in the future. They made sure I left feeling confident.

Mike is great. I used to go to Bishops on Pike in Capital Hill and Morgan was by far the best stylist there. She left this past summer and I've been trying to find a new barber. They don’t have experience in handling Asian hair colors. They told me I have extremely thick hair which is simply not true - I’m about average in Asians. They use “semi-permanent” hair dyes which are basically just like color conditioners. (Overtone is even better!) These are are not able to color Asian hair as well as permanent hair dyes because the colors will not deposit on our hair texture. I ended up going to Bellevue to save my hair.

Eric P. did an awesome job giving me a custom undercut pixie/half bob, and was genuinely friendly and attentive - very clean lines, and I didn't need to do a bit of clean up work around my ears or along my part, as I've had to do with past hair cuts! He even involved my picky partner regarding the shaping and lines, leading to my partner being very happy with the haircut as well - easily the best hair cut experience I've had in a couple years, could not recommend more! :)

I started with a fringe cut just to test this place and went ahead for a big hair chop, then teal highlights and recently to a full dip dyed teal in my lower half. The staff is really really friendly and the person I have always gone to at Bishop's is Eric. He does a very good job of suggesting cuts, colors that go both well with my face cut and my Indian skin. Anyone (male, female) looking for a good haircut, hair color should definitely try working with Eric cz after multiple sittings across last one year, I am a fan of his work and always feel that my hair is in safe hands.

Hair stylists are pretty good here, professional and good at what they do. Only thing that bothers me is they charge extra $2 just for measuring your temperature during the covid-19 time. Idk how would they justify this charge. I'm giving 4 star because they are good at the cutting the hair.

Bishops is GREAT. Lorena has been cutting my hair for over 3 years. She's a excellent stylist, listens to changes you want and understands how my hair grows out. We've changed the style a few times and her haircuts are fresh and current. Great at the fade and it grows in perfectly overtime. We always have a good conversation and laugh. She's a gem and make sure I'm looking my best when I walk out. Bishop's online scheduling is a little awkward, but assures I get in and out once I arrive. I have followed Lorena as she's changed Salon to find just the right shop to work her magic!

Staff are friendly, there's beer and water while you wait, and they've always done a great job on my hair. I have a TON of cowlicks, which makes cutting my hair in such a way that everything falls right pretty difficult. I've gone to probably 4 different folks at Bishops, and all of them navigated that with skill. Not the cheapest, but what is in Seattle? Definitely would recommend.

Best haircut I've had since moving to Seattle. I was apprehensive because it was listed as a barbershop (usually male only) but I went in seeing that they were also cutting women's hair. My stylist was Corey and he's amazing! I also got the deep conditioning treatment and my hair has never felt better. This is really affordable ($40 for long hair, $5 wash, $15 conditioning treatment) and it's now my go-to place!

Due to parking woes in the downtown area I was 10 minutes late to my appointment, and they were totally cool about it when I called. I've gone to other places before that will just cancel you out if you're more than 5 minutes late. I continue to visit Steven for my haircut needs long after he moved out of West Seattle. He really gets the way my hair is and has never disappointed. I will continue to brave the traffic and parking to have my monthly cut with Steven. Oh, he also has great conversation which is a plus in my book.

I had a fantastic experience at this lovely barbershop. With a choir concert the next day and limited knowledge of the area, I searched for a place within walking distance that could give me a great haircut. Upon my arrival, I was disappointed to find that they had closed just minutes beforehand, but the lovely woman inside was glad to stay a little bit later to make sure I was ready to perform the following morning. I'm trans and this has lead to difficulties going to barbershops, but not at Rudy's! Mike Baronowski was excellent to work with and didn't bat an eye at my request. The other stylist and shop manager treated me like just another customer. This might sound small and dumb, but it was such a relief coming in and just getting a haircut. I'll be back soon!

This was my second visit. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: If you look 21 they will give you a beer. Even though I'm 24 I've never been offered one but I also haven't asked. So if you look young and are over 21 you will probably have to ask. Great environment with a lot of pizazz. The people there are okay too. They accept walk ins and give decent cuts. CONS: A bit steep on price compared to quality, it was about $30 for a basic mens cut. It feels rushed. Both times two different people kept rushing my cut. They were a bit rough with the buzzers. There is friction on the scalp so sometimes it would be nice to go a bit slower. Note: Neither times were busy and not at closing or anything. They don't really ask you a lot of questions about how you like your cut. You give them a run down and they just do what they want but it turns out okay, sometimes too short on top. + Overall a decent experience and good cut. Please take your time. Haircuts are an experience and we can feel it when you clip or buzz our hair. I had a man and a woman but nobody had that 'womans touch'. Be gentle when cutting hair please. I'd like to have buzzers glide across my head not skip across it with friction. (I don't have a bumpy head or anything.) Definitely give them a shot! They're good but just need to take it slow if possible. Not super slow but you know what I mean. Thank you for the haircuts! :]
