I've been making my 40 minute trip out to West Seattle for over a year for my hair extensions because Shayla at Pinup Salon is the best of the best! I've had my hair extensions done in different places around the country and Shayla is by far the most skilled hair stylist I've ever gone to. She and the rest of the staff make me feel comfortable and welcome there. Shayla consistently seeks out the latest cosmetology training to keep her skills current so she can provide her clients with the healthiest scalp and hair possible. She turns my vision for my hair into reality every single time and I always walk away happy and grateful for her!

I love this place!!! Shayla is an absolute STAR. I walk in looking rough and walk out looking TOUGH and that's a guarantee 💅 Incredible stylists and awesome skills all around. Shayla has done my extension maintenance for months now and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. She's kind, talented, funny, and super knowledgeable - a trip to Shayla is definitely one well spent. My hair is as healthy as it's ever been! Highly recommend this place, but PLEASE don't take my slots on Shayla's calendar... I'm a regular now 📆🤪

Tess is one-- if not the--most talented stylist in Seattle. Truly. People always ask me where I get my hair done-- this is how wonderful Tess is at what they do! One can trust that they make every vision come to life in ways that exceed expectations. It is always a pleasure to come in for a cut with Tess-- I can not recommend their work enough.

Beautiful and comfortable salon where you can get shampoo AND straight razor cut. Tess is outstanding, they have beverages including whiskey & wine, and pinup girls covering the walls never hurts(: Highly recommend, will definitely return.

This place is fantastic! I walked in feeling pretty low energy with low self esteem and walked out feeling like a supermodel. Shayla gave me a relaxer and cut and really made me feel at home. Went back to see Lindsay to get a trim and blowout and once again I'm blown away by the incredible service, attention to detail, and love these great women give to every client! I certainly won't be checking out any other salons as long as I'm in Washington

Breanna from West Seattle is the best! I came to see her on Sunday. She talked me through the whole process. I have been box dying my hair a dark color for years to cover the gray. Seven months ago I went to another stylist to try to do the transition to gray. I just ended up with a warm reddish hair. The goal was to do gray blending . She listened to me about my previous experience and what my hopes were. She took the time to get it right with no additional damage to my hair. What she achieved was beyond my expectations!! I love it!! All the red is gone and the grey blending is phenomenal!! Thank you Breanna!!

Five stars is nowhere near enough -- I just moved to the area a month ago and was of course looking for a new stylist. I am SO glad I reached out to this salon -- I had a consultation with Shayla for extensions and I fell in love with her immediately. She has the sweetest and most incredible energy and from JUMP we clicked on a level where she basically read my mind. I came to her with a really drab grown-out pixie with almost an inch of natural brown root on platinum. I initially asked for a bob style with extensions to help me through the grow-out but Shayla suggested a modern mullet. I WAS LIKE, "YES GIRLLLLLL, LET'S DO THIS!" I waited super impatiently for nearly a month after my consult but it was SO WORTH IT because the result was better than anything I could've imagined and it was such a pleasure to be in Shayla's chair. So talented and so personable. She was made for this. Thank you SO MUCH, Shayla!

Personalized haircut for my curls that really brought out the natural volume in my hair. It was a little more expensive than I usually pay for haircut and not very convenient location for me so I probably would not return. However, if you are looking for a good curly haircut I'd recommend giving Pinup Salon a try!

Pinup Salon is not just a haircut, it's an experience! Any reason to go to Alki beach is a good reason, but Jen and the ladies at Pinup are even more worth it. For me, I appreciate the cozy, one-on-one time with my stylist. For my last cut, I emailed over a few celeb photos (one can dream), and I got EXACTLY what I wanted!! I've never had so many compliments on a hairdo, and the best part is that it looks good all on it's own, without any styling or products. Thanks, Jen!

I went to the salon for the first time about three weeks ago. I was on the look for a stylist because my older sister who was a award winning color specialist, moved about 3 hours away. I'm very particular about color and my hair. Let me tell you guys, I was not disappointed at all. This salon exceeded my expectations. The stylist I had, Bre was absolutely amazing. I came in there with a mess of a dye job because I thought you know how hard can it be? I was wrong. Anyway, she was so outgoing and listened to exactly what I wanted and we both agreed upon the colors that would work best with what I had going on. She would carry on conversations and she was very personable. I felt like I was having conversation with a friend. She did a amzing job. I now have my beautiful cotton candy fantasy hair because of her and I can't go anywhere without getting compliments. Its spit pink and blue hair and I am absolutely in love. If you want a down to earth atmosphere, amazing color, and a stylist that listens, this is the salon to goto. I will definitely be coming back for touch ups and all my other hair dying needs. I love Pinup Salon--Jen has gotten my hair to a much healthier place over the years. And with my wedding coming up I just had her put in Hotheads extensions--I've never had extensions before, but I wanted to finally have fuller hair for my wedding (even at it's healthiest stage, my hair is so, so fine), so I went for it. I'm so happy I did--Jen warned me that I might get addicted, and I'm pretty sure that's going to be the case! I'm so in love with my hair! It feels real, and full, but not over the top. I couldn't be happier with this hair--and the awesome thing about the Hotheads is that you can reuse them 3 times, so you only have to pay for the hair once! 10/10, for service and experience and result!

I got bangs and as anyone who has gotten bangs knows.... they are very easy to mess up. She did a fantastic job though, ive never loved my bangs so much. Definitely going to have a go to stylist from now on.

Oh man, that first color and cut after letting it go for almost a full year.... such a good feeling. This salon was a little gem hidden away in West Seattle near me that I am so glad I found. Definitely found my new place for hair styling!
