If you don't want compliments on your hair, then don't see Giulia, founder of Lilt! She is a phenomenal stylist, and people will definitely notice your fantastic look. She has been crafting mine for nearly a decade, and she always comes up with new, unique cuts and colors for me that suit my personality, needs and preferences. Giulia is stellar at offering ideas and direction while also being a great listener, and we come up with a plan at the beginning of every appointment by working together. She always delivers superb results, especially with precision cuts, which makes the perfectionist in me very happy. Plus, she's just plain fun to be around, and I always feel at home in her chair. Lilt is a true gem in this city!

I followed Giulia from Vain because she's absolutely amazing with balayage and color plus her layering, cuts, and styling are so fun despite my difficult long Asian hair! She knows my preferences yet always ensures we're on the same page. Plus when I'm ready to try a new style she instantly recommends what will most flatter my face shape! She is so talented I like to joke she's the only person in my life I revolve my insane tech schedule around... but I'm not joking. 😂

No matter what I throw at her as far as hair style she always makes my hair look great. I love unique, trendy european hair styles and she's amazing at making it happen. I have been to an embarrassing number of stylists and colorists over the years in search of someone to consistently take my naturally dark hair to a bright, neutral blonde. Giulia is amazing. I have super short, thick, unruly hair and for years I struggled to find someone who knew how to cut my type of hair but also understood what I wanted. Giulia is an excellent communicator. She will help you to set realistic goals and is very helpful laying out options. I believe I first saw her at Downtown Vain, around 10 years ago. My hair has never looked this good- the color is outstanding, not flat and lacking dimension for a bleach and tone. She created a platinum bob that I style in a vintage fashion with rollers and setting lotion. I don't think this woman does anything halfway. You won't be disappointed with her precision, vision, patience and candor.

She has just opened Lilt Salon in Wallingford and I was thrilled to visit her airy and spacious new place. (Plenty of parking, too.). Giulia is truly an artist who is highly skilled in helping clients to find the best style for the shape of their face, for their lifestyle and for their preferences on upkeep. She takes an active interest in her clients and is unfailingly upbeat and positive about life. She has scrupulously maintained safe standards during COVID and still manages to make it all look easy and comfortable. Every salon visit leaves me walking out on air, knowing that I look my best.

I have been going to Mary Strutz for years and she never fails to give the perfect haircut! She knows exactly what I want and how to do it with my hair. I will never go to anyone else for a cut! For reference I have farely thick, but fine in texture, curly/wavy hair and typically opt for a textured cut. I've been seeing Giulia for about a decade, and I recommend her to anyone who asks. She has really helpful suggestions when I show up with the "I don't know what I want but I want something different" problem. Also, her color skills are AMAZING. At this point I'm so used to people complimenting my hair color that the compliments almost fade into the background. Over the past ten years, Giulia has given me everything from purple/blue/periwinkle to dark red to rose gold to pink to dark brown to a cherry cola color, and it has always looked great. She does a killer balayage. Whenever one of my friends complains about a bad dye job, I internally shake my head. If they'd only gone to Giulia . . . 😆

I’m so glad I found Fabiola! She brought new life to my hair. I have super thick, long, and curly hair which is really hard to deal with and she honestly gave me the best curly cut of my life. If you have curly hair you’ll know that’s so hard to come by!!! Not to mention my color was perfect. I’ll be going back to her for as long as I live in Seattle. Also her salon was so cute and a great respite in this busy city.

She is a great listener and cares a lot about not only giving you what you want, but what suits your lifestyle best, i.e., level of daily maintenance as well as how often you need to go back to the salon.
