What an amazing experience with Joevir! The salon is posh and stylish. Silky robes and beverage service. Joevir is very knowledgeable and actually takes time to study your face to decide which style/color will be the most flattering. He is very engaging and has the most interesting and entertaining stories. You can definitely see his passion for what he loves doing. Great product tips too! A++🤗 To mention, my daughter loved my new look so much, she made an appointment!! Most definitely will be seeing Joevir again and again.

Joevir is the best. He is so kind and really knows what he is doing. He takes the time to look at my eyes and face shape to make sure he does the best cut/style/highlights for me. Joevir has cut my hair twice. I am from Toronto but have waited to get my haircut the past two times until I was able to get to Seattle. He is charming, welcoming and does incredible work! I woke up this morning and decided I need to have a professional fix the mess I had created with my hair and randomly chose to call Joevir and he got back to me promptly and was able to squeeze me in that same day. With a quick description over the phone of what I wanted done he immediately got to work once I was in his chair and performed his magic! This was my first time with Joevir. This adorable boutique-style salon is a pocket oasis of luxury, complete with a glittery countertop (irrelevant to life, but I'm basically a crow when it comes to shiny things, so...bonus points!) The salon was atmospheric and fun. The staff are fantastic, friendly and adept at what they do. This is probably one of the nicest cuts I've had in a long time, and I was in and out of there in under and hour. Pro tip: ask for the scalp massage! I will be returning.

I have been to Joevir 3 times now after initially finding him on Groupon. His regular price is very reasonable and great value for what he provides. As someone who is too busy normally to spend much time on my hair, I used to trim my hair in the mirror periodically just to keep my bangs out of my eyes, since I found it hard to justify the prices of most stylists around. Joevir listened to my need for an easy-to-maintain hair style and gave me tips on how to part my hair for my face shape. My haircuts look great for 3 months as he suggests, and I definitely feel more confident with my hair since going to him. Compared to other stylists I've tried, he does quicker than average work (about 30 minutes) but the result looks nicer or just as good. Scalp massage and basic style are included in the regular service rather than as an add-on cost as well. Would definitely recommend giving him a try. Remember to bring cash/check for payment.

I went to Joevir 10 years ago and left as far to drive....Finally was desperate for a good haircut and went back. OMG I will drive 100 miles for this guy!! Stylish cut that brings our my facial features and easy to care for hair. Highly recommend Joevir!!!

Jovier gave me the best haircut of my life! I was visiting from Hawaii where my hair gets so out of control & frizzy because of the humidity. I told him & he knew exactly what to do get it under control & easy to handle. Other stylists have layered it the typical way it but that never really helped. He gave me layers within layers & now my hair falls perfectly with almost no frizz & curls itself naturally (I normally have pretty straight hair). No need to blow dry or straighten, I just let it dry naturally. He also showed me how to create natural waves by twisting & spent extra time drying it for me since it was cold outside. Jovier went above & beyond & I recommend him to anyone, especially if they need guidance as to how to make their hair work for them. I will be back for another cut the next time I'm in town! Thank you for your wonderful skill & talent Jovier!

During this whole pandemic, it was nerve wrecking to get hair services but Joevir took the best precautions to keep me safe and relaxed while in his chair. He did a great job on my color and cleaned up all my breakage! I'm so grateful that he was open to help me out. He even showed me tips on maintaining and styling my hair. Best hair cuts I've ever had! I really appreciate his knowledge about hair and his incredible skills. I have long, thick hair and he cuts it to where I spend mere moments in the mornings doing my hair and it looks amazing! It is also light as a feather so my neck doesn't overheat. I had partial bailage and haircut by Joevir, he was quick on his work, which i like. He gave me quite a bit of suggestion that will help my newly permed hair in better shape. from reading other reviews, I can see that people who are particular on what they want, may not work well with Joevir because he does do things his way. I am a person who like to try anything,so I only told him I want my hair layered, and looks like this picture in the magazine.

Joevir is very in your face when you meet him. I didn’t even know it was Joevir til the end because he didn’t introduce himself. I had to make an emergency appt to another salon because the highlights I wanted were not blonde but orange. Thank goodness for toner! The hair stylist was like ya that’s not blonde, it’s orange. He also doesn’t clean between clients. I was in the dryer and he cut another person’s hair and didn’t wipe it down between customers. His head massages when he washes hair are weird too. They are not relaxing but kinda painful. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because he let me bring my dog in to chill. I loved that!

Best haircut of my life, hands down. I have curly hair and it’s so difficult to find someone proficient in cutting curls. Joevir used a razor technique no one has ever used on my hair before and it looks absolutely fabulous. He gave me styling tips for my curls that I’ve never heard of before and it has helped to get rid of most of the curly-hair frizz that’s so difficult to avoid. He also did a partial balayage during my visit. I always color my hair with the cheap box stuff from the store. I was really nervous about how it would turn out since I have dark brown hair and was asking him to go lighter. As I asked, he was able to avoid any red showing through (very difficult to do!). Not only was Joevir excellent at his trade, I had a great time talking to him during my visit. To top it all off, he was reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend going to see Joevir for your hair needs!

The firs time I went to Joevir was a few years ago via Groupon. I have been going to him ever since. He's great, cuts my hair just the way I like it. Once my sister was in town, she just had a bad haircut from her hair stylist a month ago; I brought her to Joevir, and she was so happy with the result that she gave him a big tip. Joevir is also friendly, and his scalp massage is great too.

I wish I could show a before and after picture of how they fixed my previous cut. I wanted a big change but wasn’t sure of what exactly. I went to a place that just all around gave me a weird cut. Joevir’s knew exactly how to fix it. It’s not that he doesn’t listen to his clients at all— he’s so experienced he knows what cut fits best just off your facial structure. I drive almost a hour to get here because they are experienced and they make you feel like family, not just a Groupon customer.

Got a hair and treatment through Groupon. Came in 30 minutes early per their request that I was texted earlier that day. Felt very rushed and unfortunately my hair was cut way shorter than I asked for. Was going to leave a tip but there wasn't a card machine and I didn't feel comfortable letting someone write down my card details like that. There's an ATM in the little grocery next door but it wasn't working at the time. The building was also locked from the outside so had to wait to be brought in too. Just kind of a clunky experience from start to finish. It's not a bad haircut it's just not entirely what I asked for.

I found Joevir on Groupon in 2020 and have been going to see him for all my hair cuts ever since. I get a very simple framing and layering of my ultra fine, thick, straight hair that will never hold any shape. Joevir always does an excellent job, gives me great styling and hair treatment advice, and somehow finds a way to give my hair more natural volume. He is very prompt to schedule and the hair cuts are always fast - this is a big plus to me as busy person who has to sneak out of work to get my hair cuts.
