Love my haircut from Lancer. Hadn't had a cut in years and he did a fantastic job trying to get it back into something manageable. Was recommended him after looking for an LGBTQ+ friendly salon, and gotta say he absolutely fits the description. Would definitely recommend him to others and already have.

Lancer at Emerson Salon has been keeping my hair looking fabulous for years. He is always learning new techniques and styles and incorporating them into my cut and color. As well, since the start of the pandemic, he has stayed on top of the best practices for opening safely.

She gives great advice for how to keep my hair healthy and happy on a budget. Chelsea is super flexible with scheduling, too, which is awesome for anyone with a busy life.

Love love Jason Farmer at Emerson salon! Jason has been cutting my hair for seven years now, and does an amazing job. The rest of the stylist in the salon are super friendly engaging, I can't say enough good things about them. Jason is by far one of the nicest Barber's you'll meet, and someone that is a true master of his trade. Tell him Jason Jacob sent you and he'll treat you like he would anybody else like a Rockstar.

Great little shop and convenient to transit. Stylist Lancer was excellent and I am happy with my cut - he listened to what I needed and turned it into a nice style. Totally recommend him!

I loved this salon for a year, I went to one stylist religiously, I dug the funky atmosphere and gender-neutral feel. I even brought my mom in when she came to town. I wasn't doing anything complicated, and coughed up $40 for simple trims between cuts because I was growing my hair out, but then my stylist left. I didn't get an email or a postcard, I didn't have any warning, and her name is STILL up on their website (including on the "book online" part of the page). When I stopped by to make an appointment they said she'd left a month ago. They didn't even ask me what I was looking for, they just tried to reschedule me with the person my stylist "gave" all her clients to. I just... expected more.

Cozy clean space with a great/convenient location. Note that my stylist just started renting a chair here so I'm limiting my review to the building amenities. I've knocked a star off because the building is old and the water takes awhile to get to temp for shampooing.

I've only been here once, and D'arcy cut my hair. I'm disappointed with the way it turned out. I did not get the look I requested, and it also just looks bad. Plus side: the haircut was cheap. However, I would rather pay more and get a better outcome. Overall, not recommended.
