Jackie is a great hair stylist and colorist, definitely a hidden gem. I have curly hair (2b) and she didn't hack it like so many others have. I also got color with general guidelines on what I wanted and the results were beautiful. I totally recommend her.

Jacqueline is the best. She is talented patient and she knows hair! All types of hair. She absolutely corrected the mess that was my hair. So glad I was referred to her. The salon itself is interesting& products are great. A wonderful hair experience & looking forward to my next appointment. An added benefit: prices are affordable a real plus as well.

I found this salon to be welcoming and happy because of the friendly staff. The well maintained plants and cleanliness are an added bonus. Jackie went above and beyond my expectations. I was looking for a low maintenance cut and color (but still maintaining a level of fun). She nailed it! The cut is perfect for my scrunch n go lifestyle, and it allows my curls to bounce in all the right spots. The color she pulled off is so magical and the compliments have not stopped rolling in. I asked for a color scheme that would allow for my natural root color to grow out without looking like "eeek". We went with silver and navy along with my Au naturel. I couldn't be happier and I am now on week 2, wash 2 with the color still appearing just as vibrant. Thank you to Jackie and Desert Rose Salon for a great experience and outstanding results.

I’m so excited about the new location and the new name of Desert Rose Salon! This salon features cut, color, style, waxing, and makeup and I love it. I’ve been coming here for years and recommend it to anyone in South Seattle (SoDo), Georgetown, and even West Seattle. Just to be clear for those know it, this salon is not new - it’s run by Jackie, formerly of Georgetown Idol Salon. They were in a trailer and now have their own space right off 4th.

I’ve been getting my hair done with these ladies back when it was Idol and followed them to their new location. The new spot is super cozy and HAS TWO PARKING LOTS. New location. Same excellent service. I’m always happy with my cuts and color services.
