From the moment I walked in the door I was welcomed and offered a beverage (I had a very nice glass of wine) served in glass not plastic. Andrew was my colorist/stylist, he listened to my wants and concerns. I highly recommend Derby Salon.

I went to Derby for my wedding hair and makeup by Jessie. Jessie did a phenomenal job. She flawlessly added hair extensions and did my wedding hair in a partial updo. She also did my wedding makeup exactly how I imagined: fresh and clean. She was also extremely approachable and made me feel comfortable during a day when I was feeling very jittery. I appreciated her grounding presence and strong attention to detail. Would recommend for all of your wedding and event hair and makeup needs!

Very clean salon and nice employees. Jamie and Hope are two stylists I have had before, and both were pleasant and very effective, giving me exactly what I ask for with my hair. Fun salon and great staff, worth the drive from the Eastside. Dana is our regular girl and she is wonderful. Went to her for wedding hair styles for my Daughter and she nailed it. The wedding hair was even better, all the girls looked wonderful. The ladies at Derby go out of their way to make you feel special. That being said street parking can take a few minutes so give yourself extra time so you don't get stressed out.

My first time coming to Derby for ANY service happened last week, and this salon has found themselves a returning customer. I'd gone three years without a pedicure, and to say my feet were in rough shape was an understatement to end all understatements. Cami came THROUGH with her pedicure skills and was not only an absolute pleasure to speak with during my pedicure but gave me no grief or attitude on the sad state of my feels. Unlike previous nail salons where I'd leave to have a crack in my heel worsen the next day, Cami did what had to be magic to make sure the cracked heels I had felt taken care of without worsening the symptoms, and gave me tips on what products to use at home and how I could maintain the work done until I could come in again. I left not only with excellent feeling and looking feet but a literal 180 viewpoint (for the better) on humanity. Additionally, I love that the skincare and hair products available for purchase (or retail therapy) are high quality.

Hope is amazing! she listened to my hair goals, explained the technicalities, and gave me a f*ckin awesome haircut!! my curls have never looked better and my volume is on point. the woman at the front desk, Jennifer (edited to add her name), was really friendly and nice to talk with. overall, I felt comfy and at home at Derby Salon. I can’t wait for my next appt!!

I saw Megan for a curly haircut yesterday and am IN LOVE with it. My coworkers, friends, and family are too. It is definitely my favorite haircut I've had in years and Megan was so friendly and professional. With curly hair, I'm always a little nervous to get it cut, especially since I wanted curly bangs this time, but she walked me through everything and I feel more like myself now. Definitely going to be a regular here.

It took me years to find a salon in Seattle that I loved, and I'm so glad I found Derby! My friend recommended it to me and I'm so grateful she did. I have curly hair and getting a good haircut has been tricky for me. Jaaron has cut my hair 3 times now and she does fantastic work. She really listens, pays great attention to detail, and always gets it right. I will keep coming back for sure. Thank you!!

I heard about Derby from a friend and going there has been a great decision. I see Jessie and when I go in for a color, I pick a theme and say 'surprise me' she always done and it always looks great. She has a fantastic eye for color. I get facials, brow & lash tints from Alison and she always makes me feel like a million. Cammie is fantastic with the pedicures, too.

I’ve been going to Derby Salon for years now, Dean has always been my go-to when I need a new ‘do. I’m so happy both Derby and Dean are still around! Another stylist, Jesse, saved my butt on my wedding day. The stylist my mom booked cancelled on us last minute. Derby was able to fit us in no problem. Jesse did and amazing job on both my hair and my mom’s. I was thrilled! I felt beautiful like every bride deserves.

We had Shelby for hair, Allison for make-up and Jordan for bride hair / make-up. I loved the work that they did and will happily be visiting Derby for my non-wedding hair needs in the future :)

What can I say? Dana is a total miracle worker; I trust her with my hair which means I trust her with my life. She’s a great communicator and a great hair advisor too! The salon is beautiful and has a really cute little mini boutique insid! Scheduling is easy too! 10/10 would recommend!

I've been going to Derby for a few years now and all 3 stylists I've seen have been wonderful. The atmosphere is friendly and chill. My hair and I have never been good friends, but KC gave it a magical lilac color with an awesome, low maintenance bob. Strangers compliment me on my hair literally every day.

The stylists at Derby salon are awesome! They were able to come to our hotel on my wedding day and treat us to beautiful hair and makeup. Shelby, Elizabeth and Cami were so patient with all of our requests, and made us all feel like princesses! Shelby listened to what I wanted and made it happen which is awesome when you are a stressed out bride:) I highly recommend their team for special occasions and hair/makeup needs!

Derby has always done an excellent job when I've gone in for a hair cut and color! Not only is the staff great at style and cut suggestions, they are also friendly and professional. People are upbeat here and create a comfortable environment. I highly recommend this place! Dean is an expert with hair and so are others!

We love Derby and have been going here since they opened years ago. I've been seeing Dana for haircuts and *adore* her. My daughter now gets her hair cut by Dana too. They are a little more expensive than other places, but for my husband's crazy hair, he needs someone with skill. We all really enjoy coming here.

Such a great experience! Dean cut my hair and did an amazing job layering it. I also had a bit of an odd request (nape undercut) that he did perfectly and wasn't thrown off at all even though it is not a normal type of haircut. He spent a lot of time with me, styled it beautifully and even showed me how to do an updo to show off the undercut. Went way beyond what I've normally experience when paying a lot more money. Best haircut I've had (seriously)!

8 months after a really unpleasant hair cut, I was finally ready to try to correct the damage. A friend suggested Derby and we spontaneously booked a double cut with Caillee. It was a wonderful, relaxing environment and friendly understanding and expertise on Caillee's part (thank you!). We both received thoughtful service and lovely haircuts. I've been going to Derby for years. I love the atmosphere and everyone is really nice and relatable. Plus they have beverages and that's great when you're in the mood for coffee! Went in to fix a disaster bleach job and terrible cut - Jordin was AMAZING. Have been in twice since; I had to g from longer hair to a pixie and Jordin knocked it out of the park. I know I have an awkward grow out journey ahead and I'm so grateful to have Jordin along the way! Derby is clean, professional, and the overall atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming. All of the staff were friendly and approachable. Can't recommend enough!

Derby is a bit spendier than some, but you get what you pay for. I have been having them bleach and dye my (very dark) hair for some time, and the color is amazing. I can keep electric blue, purple, and multi color in my hair for three months without hardly any fading.
